Oracle Forms-- Disabling Custom Code

Hello.
When disabling custom code in Oracle Forms (EBS R12, using Help -> Diagnostics -> Custom Code -> Off), are calls to CUSTOM.pll the only thing that is disabled, or are there other things that are "Custom Code" too?

You can create a trigger(when-list-changed) for each list item where you could:
1.recreate the record groups and then use POPULATE_LIST so you can hide the selected values. In forms builder online help there are some good examples about create record groups dynamically.
or
2.you can perform a validation instead of hiding the selected values. If the values is already selected the display a message 'Value already selected....'
Second option is much faster(only an 'if clause')

Calling seeded oracle form from custom form

Hi All,
I wan't to call oracle seeded form for Item Entry(INVIDITM) from a custom oracle form in Inventory module. When I call the form using FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE and pass item_id as one of the paarmeters, the seeded form open but with very limited capability to changes. Most of the field are disabled or non updateable.
I wan't to know if its possible to open the seeded form in full change mode??

Hello,
You can open a form by typing an url in the browser.
e.g. http://machine:port/forms90/f90servlet?config=...
So, it is easy to place the call in your jsp (window.open)

Error while calling standard OAF page from custom Oracle Form

I am calling standard OAF page from custom oracle form using the following code.

How to disable encryption in oracle forms

Hi,
Is there any parameter or profile option need to be changed to disable encryption in oracle forms?
My requirement is to print all the parameters comes to ListenerServlet.java ,I'm able to do that but in the console i'm getting junk values because of encryption.

Insufficient information. Start with Forms version and description of what you are trying to do in greater detail.
The URL is encoded. So what exactly is this junk? Are you seeing encoded things like %20, %7C, etc . along with your actual values? Or, is it completely garbled with unreadable characters? Post a bit of that is you can in a pair of {code} tags like this.{code}<your stuff>{code}.

Invoke custom code from standard form

Hi Experts,
I am a novice in forms.
I want to call some custom code when a sales order is created or updated.
i.e after user does some changes in std form and saves it, immediately I want to call my code.
what is the best way of doing it?
1. can it be done through form personalization? if yes how?
2. I could not find any user hooks in process orders api to write user hooks.
Looking for an option other than alerts and triggers.

I do not know if Forms Personalization can handle this (from what I've heard it is very robust), but I know you can handle this in the Custom Library (CUSTOM.pll). If you don't need immediate processing, you could also modify the Workflow to handle any custom processing that needs to occur. It's been a few years since I worked with the Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) so I don't recall all the steps involved. I suggest you post your question in the General EBS Discussion forum as this forum is dedicated to general Forms development. The Oracle Applications Documentation library is also a great place to look. Select your EBS version and then scroll to the Standards section and review the following documents:

How to display the report output from a customized Oracle Form button

I developed a customized oracle form and one customized report. I want to run report from oracle customized form, for this i use one button to submit concurrent request for request.
its successfully submitted and i can view output by using View ----> Request --------> Find -------------> Output...
But problem is that how can i view output by using button not doing all steps to view output.

Generation of custom code from oracle DB.

I am new to oracle BIP which is used to pull reports.I got a requirement to pull the data through BIP using java custom code.I got the API doc for BIP and statrd developing some sample code.My input to the code will be in XML which has one unique attribute and based on the attribute i will run a query to connect to the database and pull some attributes related to the unique attribute input.The output will also be in an XML.When i go through the doc i came to know that "DocumentProcessor" (not sure) is the calss which can be able to pull it data from database.I am using oracle 9i DB.If anyone has any such requirements can you please share the piece of code which helps me to understand and procced further.Here is the piece of code that is written.

As far as I understand, JAX-RPC is a specification which different vendors could implement in different ways. So WebServices generated from wscompile of Vendor A doesn't need to run in a WebServiceEngine from Vendor B.
I have downloaded the Java WebService DeveloperPack, but only Tomcat and the SUN ApplicationServers are supported. In our project, we are now focusing on the technology the SAP NetWeaverDeveloperStudio provides.

Hello,
Backing up a database is not the work of an Oracle Forms user. It has to be done by a Database administrator. There are several ways to backup a DB, cold or hot, with export/import, by copying the datafiles, ...
None of this methods have any relation with Oracle Forms, so have to be launched as external programs.
If the client has those utilities installed locally, you should use the Webutil Client_Host() built-in to start them.

Usually you simply ship the compiled sources to your customers if you want to hide your code. There's no way to wrap the code within the fmb or rdf files.

How to disable copy option for a text item in oracle forms

Hello experts,
I am using oracle forms 11g with weblogic server 10.3.5 at windows7.I have a text item in my oracle form and I have to disable to being copy from a text item in oracle forms.Actually I have to make two text item.First text item to type a password and another text item is also to type password.Here I want that the data from first text item should not be copy through the use of mouse or keyboard shortcut key.

Thank You To reply, Actually doing so as you said,My problem would not be solved.This would hide data in text item than I will not be able to copy that but in my case the data should not be concealed.Actually I have to make a Form to User registration and here is a strictly boundation to have a right email address of user.There would two text items for this purpose as: N_User_Email------> to type email address in text item.Here user would not be able to copy text written from N_User_Email R_User_Email ------> to type email address again as in N_User_Email.

Migrating a Forms 6i custom application to Oracle Apps R12 custom bolt on

I need to migrate an oracle forms custom application built in 6i to sit within oracle apps R12 (Forms 10g) and use Oracle Apps user authentication and session. It could become a custom bolt on to Oracle Apps and might be accessed from a custom responsibility in oracle applications.
a) How easy/difficult is this?
