Oracle JDBC driver initilalize an applet in the background

I am writing an APPLICATION that is connecting with database.
When I execute the code two dialog windows with title 'APPLET ALERT' appear and it ask for a permission:
-The applet is attempting to invoke the java/lang/System.getProperty() operation on user.name
-The applet is attempting to connect to [database name]
When I allow permissions then program continues ok, when i disallow then an exception is thrown: Exception in thread "main" com.trend.iwss.jscan.runtime.AppletTrapStopError: Applet disabled by IWSVA Javascan site policy.
Whether I allow or disallow following output is printed on the console:

Why is the driver initializing an applet? What should I change?
I am using JDK 1.6 and driver 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.7.0) - ojdbc6.jar, database is Oracle 9i (9.2.0.7.0).

This is a console software. The code above is only an example but it causes the same effect.
The program behavior is the same whether I start it from Eclipse (normal or debug) or from command line.
I think the case is our company IWSVA internet scanner, a kind of firewall.
I found on google few similar problems with IWSVA or IWSS but with no solution.
Already our administrators are checking the configuration.

    I'd like to try out this new Preview Edition but I get the following errors:

    Thanks for the quick response. I created a new application in 11tp from scratch. I created a View Object and pasted the offending code into it and got the same compile errors. I actually got the code about a year ago from Steve's Not Yet Documented Applications. He has since removed the App from the page, changed the code and added it to the Dev Guide. The sample app showed how to bind a View object to a REF Cursor returned from a stored procedure and it looked something like this:

    Changing the code to look more like what is now in the DEV GUIDE will more than likely work because he eliminates the need for the OracleCallableStatement.
    This brings me to my next point. If migration is not currently supported, will it be when the production release of JDEV 11g is available? Shame on me for just quickly skimming the release notes but when the import wizard ran on my project it did not warn me that the feature is not supported or that problems are likely. Upon resolving the issues with the callable statement, I had significant other compile errors in my jspx pages that will probably not be as trivial to fix. If project upgrades are not performed "easily" it will certainly push the 11g adoption date out considerably.

  • NullPointerException at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver.connect()

    I have written a java stored procedure. The method can be executed properly in local PC environment.
    but when the java program is load into Oracle DB JVM by loadjava command. such method is called in SQL> prompt as a java stored procedure. I got

    I am sure that the db_connection_string, username and password are correct as it works in my local PC.
    I even try to get default connection by

    Connection conn = new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver().defaultConnection();
    I got the same NullPointerException in both cases too.
    In fact, the java stored procedure worked before. but suddenly it's failed! The Oracle DB server is under my control and I did not change any configuration nor setting on it.
    I can't find similar case from this forum. Do any one know why?

    First try debugging the test case by making sure that none of the parameters passed to getConnection is null.
    When you are sure that none of the parameters are null, if the issue still reproduces. Let us know

    DON'T import the Oracle packages.
    That's all hidden from you by the java.sql code. All you do is register the driver and get a connection:

  • Oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CPreparedStatement causing out of memory exception

    I am using oracle spatial 11.2.0.3 g.
    I am getting out of memory exception on a process.
    I analyzed the heap dump using OOMemory analyzer and figured out  oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CPreparedStatement keeping 73%  of the heap space.
    Is oracle expanding the SPARQL queries in java side or keeping the results in cache.
    How to solve it ?

    We will need a re-producible test case (preferably small) to figure out why you are getting out of memory. You can send it to Oracle Support or email me at alan dot wu at oracle dot com.
    Jena Adapter does not cache SPARQL query results on the Java side. The T4CPreparedStatement is not even in Jena Adapter's
    code path or RDF's code path.

    Each thread uses a different preparedStatement or a single preparedstatement????

  • How to Include Oracle JDBC Driver

    Hi Experts,
    We have a requirement to access the database  through Java Code. We are using NWDS. But we are n't able to find a clue, how to add the driver to the project. This option was there in Eclipse, if I remember correctly.
    We are using NWDS for the first time. Could any one please give a clue, if we need to do the same in a different way.

    When attemping to use the 10G2 jdbc driver the following NoClassDefFoundError is encountered:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: while resolving class: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.security.pki.OracleWallet not found in [file:./, file:ojdbc1410g2.jar, file:/usr/share/java/libgcj-3.4.4.jar, file:./, core:/]

    The error does not occur when reverting back to the 9 jdbc driver. Does anyone know what is causing this behavior?

    Actually, class "oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver" extends class "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver".
    So check the JAR files in the list displayed by your error message and see if any of them contain the [missing] class, for example:
    jar tvf ojdbc1410g2.jar oracle/jdbc/driver/OracleDriver.classGood Luck,

    Without any problems i'm using the Oracle JDBC Driver version - 10.1.0.3.0 to access to the
    Oracle database (Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production).
    But exchanging the JDBC Driver 10.1.0.3.0 to 10.1.0.5.0 brings up the following problem:
    the statement
         con.prepareStatement(sql, resultSetType, resultSetConcurrency, resultSetHoldability)
         (with parameters resultSetType = 1003, resultSetConcurrency = 1007, resultSetHoldability= 1)
    returns null !
    while using the Oracle JDBC Driver version - 10.1.0.3.0 the statement (with same parameters)
    returns a correct PreparedStatement.
    Every hint or idea is welcome.

    Pardon me if I am stating the obvious, but why don't you use the 10.2 JDBC driver with your 10.2 database? The driver is part of the database distribution. Otherwise, you can download the driver from the OTN Web site.

    The above link is a comprehensive "How to get set up and on my way" that I made for someone else learning Oracle/jdbc. Kind of a self-help resource page. I would start from the beginning and download the newest drivers, then set up your environment,...etc.

    I understand that it is legally fine to bundle Oracle JDBC driver JAR along with the applications. However, is it also legally OK to change that JAR name and then bundle it with the applications?     2. I suspect the agreement allows you to rejar the classes. Which allow you to put it in any jar that you want.
