I m using jdk 1.2.2 and in the Classpath I have given the path for classes12.zip.
I have tried using classes111.zip file though I m getting same Error Message.

did you have your oracle database running?
01034, 00000, "ORACLE not available"

  • Oracle 9.2.0.4.0 Download for Linux - Disk2 corrupt

I have tried downloading Oracle 9.2.0.4.0 Database for Linux . Disk 1 and 3 are good, but Disk 2 gets a bad crc error when gunzip'ing. I have re-downloaded 3 times and get the same error.
    Can anyone help (Oracle themselves?)
    Donovan

No Luck. I used GetRight as a download manager as suggested and still get the same error. I have used Winrar to extract the .gz as well as gunzip on Linux.
    Winrar error message is:
! C:\ISO-Images\Oracle9i Database\Linux\ship_9204_linux_disk2.cpio.gz: CRC failed in ship_9204_linux_disk2.cpio. The file is corrupt
Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to install downloaded Oracle Forms Developer/Services 6i Release 2 for linux

    Hi folks,
    I downloaded d2k6irelease2.tar (Oracle Forms Developer/Services 6i Release
    2 for linux) from
    http://otn.oracle.com/software/products/forms/htdocs/linuxsoft.html
I untar the file on my linux machine however the extracted files don't
seem to contain any installing program. I didn't find products.jar in the
files and there are no script to install the software. I read the attached
doc, however it only assumes that the installation is from CD-ROM. The doc
doesn't help anything for this downloaded software. I wonder if anyone
here know how to install it. Thank you so much.
    Best regards,
    Kai Huang

There should be a text based installer in the /orainst sub-
    directory
In that directory, just run the script:
    ./orainst
The installer seems to require libXm.a, which wasn't included in
my RH 7.1 installation, so I had to install the motif-
development libraries before the full install would complete
    successfully.

  • DB Connection Tables & Views not shown in 9.0.3 for 3rd Pty JDBC

I am running JDeveloper 9.0.3 under Windows 2000.
I have configured the 3rd party JDBC libraries under jdev.conf.
Under connections, database connection, I am able to connect to the database and it does show me the three schema owner names in that database. I am signed on as one of those schema names.
However, when I attempt to drill-down to the tables and views under those schemas, nothing is shown.
Under 9.0.2, I was only able to see the schema of the userid I used to sign-on to the database, but I was able to drill-down to the tables and views and use them in generating UML diagrams and such.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Robert,
We changed the handling of schemas and catalogs between 9.0.2 and 9.0.3. The purpose of the change was to correct some problems with specific JDBC drivers where the old way was not working. While we tried to test with as many drivers as possible, it seems likely that we inadvertantly introduced an incompatability with your driver. If you can provide me with a few more details, I can try to isolate the problem and hopefully find a resolution.
First of all, when you created the connection, did you use uppercase, or lowercase. And does the case you use match the case we display in the navigator?
Second, if you run the code I've enclosed at the bottom of this message (replacing the values in <> with the appropriate values), do you get tables back? What is the value that is printed out for the catalog. If you are seeing a difference in case between the connection definition and the schema node in the navigator, can you try both cases?
The enclosed code is basically the query we use to get the list of tables. However, we are doing some work internally with the catalog and schema, and see what the raw query returns should point me in the correct direction.

  • Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 for Linux RedHat?

    Hello,
can anybody tell me if there is a Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 available for Linux RedHat, maybe a Pre-Version for Oracle-Customers/Partners?
A problem was reported to us pertaining to some privilege problems under Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 / Linux, but i cannot find any version on:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html
There is only a v11.1.0.7.0 for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and the last version for Linux is there v11.1.0.6.0.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    -Lars-

The case with Windows 2008 exists because there was no way to install 11.1.0.6 on that platform, so the process of 'install and patch' is not possible. Therefore they needed to 'fix' the initial install for that specific plaftform and it is their policy to only release to the 'current patch set' (which was 11.1.0.7 at the time).
With Linux, you can 'make it work' with newer versions (eg: RH 5u4) by providing the appropriate compat libraries, therefore the original 'install and patch' process is still valid.
Making Linux 11.1.0.7 available would nullify their Support mechanisms.

  • Not able to see Java plugin for Linux RHEL 14.0.1

I have installed Mozilla Firefox 14.0.1, for Linux, but I'm having trouble seeing the Java 'plugin' (libnpjp2.so').
I believe I'm running Red Hat Enterprise Linux on a 32 bit machine, as detailed :-
    Linux localhost.127.0.0.1 2.6.18-128.el5PAE #1 SMP Wed Dec 17 12:02:33 EST 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I have installed the 32 bit version of Java :-
    [root@localhost /]# java -version
    java version "1.7.0_05"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_05-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 23.1-b03, mixed mode)
    from the 'pluginreg.dat' file I see :-
    [INVALID]
    /root/Oracle/Middleware/jdk160_11/jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so:$
I'm referencing the 'Oracle' version of 'libnpjp2.so', as this appears to be the 32 bit version,
and I'm trying to configure Oracle APEX on this version of Linux.
I think I need to run Firefox in 32 bit mode, but don't know how, or if what I'm attempting to do is possible ?
Any feedback, would be most grateful.

The regular Firefox version as downloaded from the Mozilla server is a 32bit version

A 32 bit Firefox version only works with a 32 bit Java version and you need to place symlink to the Java plugin file (libnpjp2.so) in a location where Firefox finds it.
Did you try to delete the pluginreg.dat file to force Firefox to create a new file?

  • Local oracle access with jdbc thin

    hello there
    it need help despratly,
im developing an applet to talk to remote oracle dbs using jdbc
    thin
but i also want an applet to be able to talk to a local oracle db
    on the same hardisk.
for a remote connection the follwing stringis used at my
    university
    static final String connect_string =
    "jdbc:oracle:thin:scott/[email protected]:1521:DSC1";
but what do i subsitute for thr host as i want to access the db
    on my hard disk?
i need as much help ASP, as im well behind my schedule for this
    project.?
also i take it that to allow this and access to remote servers
other than the web server, the applet needs to be signed, is this
    possible with jdk1.1.x compatble browsers?

The thin driver reqiures a TCP listener to be running. If you are
using Personal Oracle for the 'local' RDBMS then it doesn't have
a listener (with the default installation). Start the listener
and you should be able to connect. You will also want a local
webserver of some sort to serve the applet to you as well, but
anything (even TinyWeb) will do for that.

  • Hardware Acceleration for Linux with FireFox 4

    '''Is this just a myth?'''
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit and FireFox 4 stable with a GT 240 and the latest nvidia binary driver. I have this set up as a HTPC through HDMI cable and have audio as well through the HDMI. It works wonderfully! I can watch x.264 and my intel celeron 2.8 GHz doesn't even get out of bed thanks to hardware acceleration.
Now, that is NOT the case while on the web... It is a tall order to watch HD quality flash (although with the [http://demos.hacks.mozilla.org/openweb/HWACCEL/ mozilla hardware stress test] I get 45 FPS). It seems to be that hardware acceleration is still very much in its infancy in the linux environment with firefox 4.
After searching through many threads I have come to find some useless information.
    ''MOZ_ACCELERATED=1 MOZ_GLX_IGNORE_BLACKLIST=1 firefox'' - does nothing
    ''layers.acceleration.force-enabled=true'' - does nothing
There seems to be an issue with firefox not recognising the installed graphics card. On Windows machines, the about:support page will report all the graphic card information in the Graphics section in addition to '''GPU Accelerated Windows 0/1''' or '''1/1'''. This seems to NOT be the case in linux. Why? Why doesn't firefox discover the installed graphics card?
Now, if I have missed a memo or been a total newb in this attempt to take advantage of Accelerated Hardware in FireFox 4 for linux '''PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME''' as to what I need to do. If I have done all the things needed to achieve hardware acceleration and it is just not possible, than the good 'ol folks at mozilla should be a little more transparent when they proudly proclaim that they have released a hardware accelerated browser.
If anyone can shed some light on this predicament please post. If anyone has hit the same wall as I have please post... rant... w/e...

  • Re-Packaged 9IASR2 for Linux with Patches release date?

Anyone have a date when Oracle are going to re-release the linux distribution for 9iasR2 with all the patches.
It took me 3-4 weeks to get everything working on Linux. I also installed the Win2K version which was very smooth. I plan to re-install on Linux but onto two boxes, one for the infrastructure server and one for the
app server because of the memory and processing requirements. I don't want to go through the pain of that linux installation again!!!!. I have several projects on hold for this, so a timescale would be very useful.

Wait until it becomes available on OTN, and then place the order.
    HTH,
    Ashesh Parekh
    Oracle9iAS Product Management Hi Ashesh,
Have we got any update on the release date. My project deadline is at the end of the month. If the linux repackaged version is going to be later than that I will have to install on Mircosoft Win2k!

I will only going use it internally for testing until the licensing issue gets straightened out, and, anyway, this is for a medical transcription app, NOT a mass-market broadcast pirated music over the web app
    PLEASE, I need some help.

  • IPod Not Recognized in iTunes & "Software Required for Commun with iPod. .

Pleasse help! I have about 15 hours invested in this problem, includes 2.5 hours with Apple Technicians, and no help.
I have a new 30G Video iPod that isn't detected in iTunes, although I can see it in exlorer and listed as my G drive. The error message that appears when I start iTunes is,
"The software required for communicating wihtthe iPod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes to install the iPod software."
I have done the "5 R's" about 8 times, and tried other things including changing the drive letter, unintalling Norton, using the msconfig to limit what was running (per the Apple site directions), removed the temp files (per the Apple site directions, "soft reboots" of the iPod (Menu and round button holds), manually running "C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe" from the RUN menu, and running regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\atl.dll (per the Apple Tech) from the RUN menu.
A few other notes, 1) in MSCONFIG, my iPod service does not seem to want to run, it shows as "stopped" 2)I had initally installed the iPodUpdater 2005-10-12, which didn't get me connected, and then later updated to 2005-11-17, which still didn't work. I have also installed from scratch from the apple site. When I try to run the Updater, my error reads "iPod Service Error". I don't even understand what this is supposed to do. Perhpas update the iPod software iteself?
When I connect to the other PC in my home, which was loaded with the same Windows CD's, iTunes fires right away and detects this iPod.
On the PC I am trying to coneect with, I have previously had a successful setup with an iPod mini, but now that doesn't work anymore either.
Apples next step is telling me to uninstall/reinstall Windows. This seems like a pretty drastic, and even more time consuming step . . . one that I'd rather not take unless it is fairly certain to resolve this problem
    ANY SUGGESTIONS????
    Thank you in advance.

Thank you. I'm new to this and will repost.

  • Not all iphoto pictures are available for sync with ipad2

    Hallo,
I am a new apple user. Have iTunes latest version on my MacMini. Want to sync all of my photos from iPhoto to my iPad2. Problem: not all Photos are available for sync.
Why doesn´t iTunes see all of my Photos?
    Thanks for answer.
    Iceman21

It is not a problem of iPad2 because I have the same problem with my iPhone.
e.g.: I can see the event in iTunes but with 0 photos. So iTunes find the events but not the content???
