i m using oracle froms & reports 10g , i want to genrate a html report that wud have hyperlinks ,by cliking on hyperlink another report would be genrated and so on.
how can do this ?

hello,
in your case, you might want to make the following :
a) use DESFORMAT=HTML
b) use MIMETYPE=application/vnd.msexcell (or whatever mimetype your excel application is bound to)
i am nor sure if excel will understeand our HTMLCSS (which is actually HTML4.0 using layers for best possible rendering of the paper page in the browser).

Its an on going process. Couple of steps you will have to follow: Did you perform any SQL trace ..?
Did you perform any ABAP trace...?
How much business data these reports are processing.Is there a possibility you can do some changes.
SQL Trace ( SAP in built tool) will give you a fair idea about each and every SQL statements in your report. And you can anlyze bad ones. And also propse optimized SQL or
index if needed.
ABAP Trace(SAP in bulit tool), you can find out amount of ABAP run time thats being elapsed by each and individual abap module.
Also the amount of business data is every important. While designing the report alogorithm this is very important factor.

How to make html file on server side from the data entered in text area

Hi!
I want to know how to make .html file on server side. Like if i enter the data in text area ( or like we normaly see when we write mail that editor) and we can use html tages in it and when user submit form all the data in that field will be saved on server side as an html formate. Is it possible to do so??? or any ruff idea how to design it???

     I have seen your posts regarding dashboard reports.I ave small query that I am using dashboard 4.0 SP5.
     I was developed sample report on dashboard,and then deployed into mobile platform(android Samsung note 2) working fine.Now I am confused      thatwhether the report is in flash format or html 5 format how can we know?
     But I want that report in html 5 format.so what I have to do to make that report into html 5 dashboard report,how can show(prove) to others that is in      html 5 format.Now I am confused thatwhether the report is in flash format or html 5 format how can we know?
     Can you please help me.I am working on this since from last 2weeks i didn't found any solutions...

Steps from 1 & 2 are same, Install Business Objects mobile app from Play store and you can open it.
For prerequisite i think you can work with above mentioned version.
Dashboard are only supported on "Android tablets with 7 inch screen size and higher having Android operating system 4.0 version and higher."

In Oracle 10g, How to call a report since an option of a menu (*.mmb)

Hello
In Oracle 10g, working since the browser, how to call a report since an option of a menu (*.mmb)? I know to call it in a form (*.fmb), therefore uses the fields bean area and the objects reports, but in a menu there is not neither canvas, neither fields, neither reports. Someone would be able to help me with that?

I tried to call a report from the menu in the folowing way:
I created a menu and wrote the following code in one item:

In your case, you have to make sure that you have the dummy report object in each form that will have this attached menu.
You can replace by the actual report name as you have written in the code.

Draw parameter form as... simle html - file with input fields.
Then, to do in this html-file (input form):
this.window.location.href="URL", where
URL is http://HOST...port...ets..report=my_report.rep&PARAM_1=value(getting from this form)&PARAM_2=value.
It worked! (PARAM_1, ets. MUST BE same, as "IN" PARAMETERS IN YOU REPORT).

I have a report that I send the report's parameters by URL.
How can I make the report automatically run with the parameters supplied?
So when the report opens the user does NOT have to click the "View Report" button the report would just run and display the results for the user?

How to make OBIEE reports available during the DB tables data refresh?

We have our production ETL run for 2.5 days every month. OBIEE reports will not be available during the run. We have a requirement to make the reports available all 24 hrs 365 days. So, what we are trying is to copy all the fact/Dim tables to the new schema running in the same or different DB server and amend the connection pool to point this schema during the run. Here are my questions. Is this a workabale solution (or) is there better approach for meeting our requirement

I would suggest this option:
Store the following connection pool values in a table and call them in your connection pool using Connection Pool Scripts
Data Source Name
User ID
Pwd
when ever you want to change db just you need to edit these values that would help your bi with no downtime.
You might have to tweak it little bit if needed.
More or less we have use sometime back to a client where they want to switch dbs dev to test to etc
Try it out.
BTW: 2.5 days load time for Full load or Incr?

U can create a new report to run it in background mode:
- Open the job
CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_OPEN'

- Close the job
CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_CLOSE'
       EXPORTING
            JOBCOUNT             = VN_JOBCOUNT
            JOBNAME              = VA_JOBNAME

Well i give u item level to apply it in the whole record including...

any way to do it block level u can use Current Record Attribute Property block level but if u programatically do it as mentioned u can have a lock on something resemble to ur case pls have a look at Craig's Oracle Stuff How to Select Multiple Records in a block using Record Groups just to exclude the idea u want to develop.

If you want to keep "Save" and "Stop" common, Why do you want to keep them on Tab control? Is your tab control taking entire space on Front panel? If so, you can have SAVE and STOP on other vi, and you can call this vi (MODAL).

How can i make it in Crystal report ?
I have use the template in crosstab crystal report, but there is not suitable.
Can i make manually. ?

But i have some issue again.
How can i make a grouping
So the grouping per Item
For example

                           Item D                 8                        8                      9
And another question, Is there always have row summary ? It seems that after the 2008 column, there is a total column, Can I remove this ?
