Oracle Resource Adapter in Waveset Lighthouse
We are running Waveset 4.1 (20040620 SP2). We want to use the Oracle Resource Adapter to facilitate automatic de-provisioning within Waveset upon employee termination in Oracle HR (8i DB). The Lighthouse technical reference only provides scant details on how to set up the resource in Waveset which we have done. Where do we go from here? With the acquisition of Waveset by Sun, documentation seems to be hard to come by. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

When your activeSync process runs against OracleHR, a form that is designated in the Resource Configuration is processed. This is where you map all of the Oracle attributes to Lighthouse (IDM) attributes.
In this form, you can control the actions taken based upon the feedOp variable.
Check out the /samples/forms directory for example activeSync forms.

Error while provisioning user into Oracle resource
I wrote a custom oracle resource adapter and an trying to create a new user and assign this user to the resource. I get the following error when I save the user account. "com.waveset.util.WavesetException: An error occurred connecting to resource "
I can however successfully test connection to this resource from the resources tab. Please help me figure what the issue can be.

But I feel if your test connection is successful I dont think you should have any problem try with different userid , password and Database. Hope it works.

Oracle ActiveSync Adapter issue
Hi,
I am facing an issue with oracle activeSync adapter. I am trying to connect to an oracle table and pull some records into IDM. I created the resource and tested connection to the resource and everything seems to work fine. Also I am able to poll the oracle table and create some records within IDM. The issue is with updates.
The following is are the two scenarios in which I am getting errors.
1) When the XML content of the activeSync form is (This is the same entry when the feedOp is create and Update) This works fine when the operation is create

The values are getting pushed into IDM. However the error "An error occurred connecting to resource 'NBCIDMDeltaActiveSync'". still prevails.
Though the second one throws an error, it still works the way it should.
Can anyone help me figure out how I can fix the error. Though the error says that it has something to do with the connection, it is working fine for creates and I can test the resource connection successfully.Create and Update use different default resource, user forms and views. Is the resoruce error you get is the name of one of your adapters? NBCIDMDeltaActiveSync
Look for Proxy admin assinged to the adapter, if it has a form attached. Review the logic.
Look for update user form assigned to the update. Review logic in the forms.
Look for the Update Workflow, review logic differences in the create Workflow. -

SrikanthI believe you are invoking a Standard Seeded API in Oracle EBS. Please use the Oracle Apps Adapter instead of the Database Adapter.
Also, before the API call, make sure you invoke the SET_CLIENT_INFO procedure under the package DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO. While invoking this set client info procedure, you need to pass an input of 0 (zero) . Confirm the same with your EBS Experts in the team.
Also, now when calling the Standard API, you need to pass the credentials in the invoke activity header properties.

Error while running BPEL Process with Oracle Apps Adapter.

I am trying to configure the oracle apps adapter in JDeveloper.
Here my EBS is running on different database where as SOA is installed on different database.
I am able to properly configure the adapter & deploy the process to weblogic server.
But when I am trying to run the process I am getting following errorr.

Make sure to update the adapter after creating a connection pool so that changes can take effect.

1. When i dont package the orabpel.jar along with the adapter, i get the following error during deployment

2. If i package the orabpel.jar file along with the RA, i get ClassCastException.
3. I tried including the imported-shared-libraries section in the packaged oc4j-ra.xml, but this gets overwritten as part of the deployment.
4. I removed the above class which gave NoClassDefFoundError and then tried deploying and got the following error

Currently i package orabpel.jar file along with the RA rar file, deploy, later go and modify the oc4j-ra.xml from application-deployments/... to include the imported-shared-libraries, remove the orabpel.jar from the connectors/BRMAdapter directory, restart the AS and it works
Iam using Oracle AS 10.1.3 as part of the SOA Suite.
Any help would be appreciated.Found a soln, add the codesource to the j2ee instance application.xml
eg adding the following
<imported-shared-libraries>
<import-shared-library name="oracle.bpel.common"/>
</imported-shared-libraries>
solves the problem. Make sure the shared libraries are installed and is added to the instance server.xml
This is described in "Oracle® Containers for J2EE Developer’s Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0)"
But not sure if the end customers need to be told to edit the configuration file manually. -
MBean not found error while creating Resource Adapter

During the post installation configuration of Oracle Identity Manager, I had to create Resource Adapter as mentioned in the steps below. In the final step, when I click OK, I’m getting an error message “An error has occurred. MBean not found” (I had created a new oc4j container called oc4j_oim under which this is being done). Complete error message displayed is pasted at the end fyi. Kindly suggest a workaround for this issue.
Steps followed:
Create the required Resource Adapter in Oracle Application Server as follows:
a) Log on to the Application Server Control.
b) From the View By list, select Application Servers.
c) Click the server instance.
d) On the page that is displayed, click Administration.
e) Click Enterprise Messaging, and then click Database Persistence. The JMS connectors for
the Oracle Application Server instance that are currently configured for use with database
persistence JMS providers are listed.
f) Click Deploy.
g) In the Resource Adapter Module Name field, enter oimOJMSRA
h) Select Add a new resource provider to be used by this connector.
i) In the Resource Provider Name field, enter oimOJMSRP
j) From the Datasource JNDI Location list, select jdbc/xlXADS.
k) Click OK.

Actually you are getting a warning message where one of two things could have happened. Either you specified an incorrect zone name or one of the zones has not been fully booted. It's likely that you haven't booted the zones, so please follow this:
zoneadm list -iv
If zone1 or zone2 are not running then boot and configure them
zoneadm -z <zone> boot
zlogin -C <zone>

Resource Adapter errors in WebLogic 10.3

I'm getting ClassCastException from coherence 3.5.3 resource adapter in WebLogic 10.3.
I've already tried to install resource adapter as a separate deploy and inside ear file, but get same errors.
Has anybody already managed to use this adapter along with weblogic 10.3 ? The error occurs when I try to get a NamedCache object. The distributed cache named "cache" is up and running since I manage to get and put objects into cache by using NamedCache from CacheFactory (CacheFactory.getCache("cache")).

BPEL & Resource adapter deployment in 10.1.2
Hi,
I have deployed a JCA resource adapter in a 10.1.2 server and it seems that it doesn't get deployed right or, at least, when I test it with a BPEL process, doesn’t work.
I have tested the adapter and the BPEL process in 10.1.3 and works fine, but it doesn't work in 10.1.2. I need to work in 10.1.2 because I'm using the B2B integration suite and this is only available in 10.1.2.
This is what I have done to deploy the adapter:
i. I created the file oc4j-ra.xml in C:\OraHome_1OAS\j2ee\OC4J_BPEL\application-deployments\default\EbMS Adapter
ii. I copied the adapter rar file in C:\OraHome_1OAS\j2ee\OC4J_BPEL\connectors\EbMS Adapter
iii. I update C:\OraHome_1OAS\j2ee\OC4J_BPEL\config\oc4j-connectors.xml
Then, when I try to deploy a BPEL process to test the adapter, I get this error in the log (C:\OraHome_1OAS\integration\orabpel\domains\default\logs\domain.log):

As I see that I have deployed the connector in C:\OraHome_1OAS\j2ee\OC4J_BPEL, but the BPEL process is been deployed in C:\OraHome_1OAS\integration\orabpel, I try to deploy the connector in C:\OraHome_1OAS\integration\orabpel\system\appserver\oc4j\j2ee\home. I copied the "connectors" and "application-deployments" directories into C:\OraHome_1OAS\integration\orabpel\system\appserver\oc4j\j2ee\home (because didn't exist) and updated the C:\OraHome_1OAS\integration\orabpel\system\appserver\oc4j\j2ee\home\config\oc4j-connectors.xml, but I still get the same error.
