Oracle Seeded Providers Shared Objects Folder Portlet

Hi,
I was wondering if there was an api, or some other way of setting the folder that will be displayed in the Folder portlet in the Oracle Seeded Providers: Share Objects area.

I was able to find the API for this. I was able to use the wwpre_api_value API. I have two issues still. The first is with setting the value for titleid though the API.
The second is when I login as the user I'm testing, there is nothing in the folder portlet. If I click on the customize link, the folder I try to set with the API is in the pop-up window. So it seems like I'm setting almost everything correctly since it is seeing what I set in the pop-up window, but I'm missing something because it's not making it all the way to the portlet.
Any ideas would be great.

1. From the Portal Object Navigator, click on the Applications
tab.
2. In the "Find" box, type %search% and click "Go"
3. There are 2 reports you need to modify, depending on which
portlet provider you want to use: RPT_SEARCH (owned by
people_app) and SEARCH_RESULT (owned by wwv_system)
4. For each report, click the "Edit" link
5. Click the "Display Options" tab
6. Under the "Full Page Options" heading, change the "Size"
for "Row Text" to 12. (If you are running the reports as
portlets, then you must also change the "Size" for "Row Text"
under "Portlet Options".)
7. Click OK
Search results are now visble using either portlet, the Oracle
Portal provider or the PEOPLE_APP provider.
You may also need to change the field settings on the hierarchy
if now when you run the people search you receive SQL errors.
Here is what worked for me (assuming you want to change both
users components):
1. On the Application Tab search for %search% and %detail%
components. You don't need to change the WWMON components.
Change the font size on the full page and portlet options
(Display Options Tab)for the heading and text (I use 12 and
11pt). Otherwise the default can only be read with a magnifying
glass.
2. The org chart components are slightly different. Search for %
org% and you will find 2 components org_chart and orgchart. Both
of these need to have the column fields changed (Table or View
Column tab) as well as the font size for the Parent, Child,
Grandchild (Display Options Tab). Here are the Table Column
settings (for some reason they are initially blank - yet will
fail if recompiled without values):
People_App.Org_chart
1. key values:
primary key - empno
parent key - manager
start with - empno
ww_system.orgchart
1. Primary Key Column WWSEC_PUBLIC_DIRECTORY.ID
Parent Key Column WWSEC_PUBLIC_DIRECTORY.MANAGER
Start With Column WWSEC_PUBLIC_DIRECTORY.ID

View objects performance issue with oracle seeded tables

While i am writing a view object on a oracle seeded tables like MTL_PARAMETERS, its taking more time to show in the oaf page.I am trying to display all these view object columns in detail disclosure of advanced table. My Application is taking more than two minutes to display the view columns of the query which is returning just 200 rows. Please help me how to improve performance when my query using seeded tables.
This issue is happening only in R12 view object and advanced tables.

Hi All,
Here is architecture of my application:
Java application creates XML from the screen values and then inserts that XML
into a framework(separate DB schema) table . then Java calls a Stored Procedure from same framework DB and in SP we have following steps.
1. It fatches XML from the XML type table and inserts XML into screen specific XML TYPE table in the framework DB Schema. This table has a trigger which parses XML and then inserts XML values into GTT which are created in separate product schemas.
2. it calls Product SP and then in product SP we have business logic. Product SP
does the execution and then inserts response into Response GTT.
3. Response XML is created by using XML generation function and response GTT.
I hope u will understand my architeture this time and now let me know if GTT are good in this scenario or not. also please not that i need data in GTT only during execution and not after that. i dont want to do specific delete which i have to do if i am using normal tables.

Oracle 9.i - SQLPLUS libodm9.so - cannot load shared object file

I am receive this error when I try to run sqlplus as any other user other than the user who installed the distribution:
libodm9.so: cannot load shared object file file does not exist.
Anyone have any ideas?

I did have my LD_LIBRARY_PATH exported. The funny thing about this is that it works for one user (the user that installed the distribution), but nobody else. This is pretty bizzare. I tried to relink Oracle and received all of the similar errors that everyone else did (GLIBC22 errors). One person said to UPGRADE my binutils, I did this and am still having problems. I think I will wait for Oracle to certify the thing. It's nice to know that some things with Oracle never change. They can release a production piece of software that doesn't work. Pretty typical.

I would like to know how to call shared objects in unix from Froms 6i and 10g. Can anybody help in this regard? Your help is very well appreciated.

Do you have any 11i instance where those custom forms are used? If yes, you will have to copy those forms from 11i to R12 instance, open the forms using Forms 10g builder, compile it and upload it back to the server.

As I understand, the general advice was that you needed to set your ORACLE_HOME variable, which I did in the shell script that starts sql developer:

The file which it had been complaining about is in that folder, and it seems to find it, but now I get an error "libocijdbc11.so: libaio.so.1: cannot open shared object file."
Where can I get this libaio.so file?
Or am I going about this wrong?

I'm on Windows, but do mind you need a 11.2 client as home. Alternatively try setting the home to your sqldev installation folder.

I'm trying to upgrade my test 9.2.0.8 rac to 10.1 rac. I cannot upgrade to 10.2 because of RAM limitations on my test RAC. 10.1 Clusterware software was successfully installed and the daemons are up with OCR and voting disk created. Then during the installation of RAC software at the end, root.sh needs to be run. When I run root.sh, it gave the error: while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. I have libpthread.so.0 in /lib. I looked up on metalink and found Doc ID: 414163.1 . I unset the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in vipca (unsetting of LD_ASSUME_KERNEL was not required in srvctl because there was no LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in srvctl). Then I tried to run vipca manually. I receive the following error: Error 0(Native: listNetInterfaces:[3]). I'm able to see xclock and xeyes. So its not a problem with x.

My questions are:
should ping on sunny1vip and sunny2vip be already working? As of now they dont work.
if you look at oifcfg getif, I initially had eth1 10.0.0.0 global cluster_interconnect,eth0 192.168.2.0 global public then I created eth1 10.1.1.0 global cluster_interconnect with setif. Should it be 10.1.1.0 or 10.0.0.0. I looked at the subnet calculator and it says for 10.1.1.1, 10.0.0.0 is the subnet. In metalink they had used 10.10.10.0 and hence I used 10.1.1.0
Any ideas on resolving this issue would be very much appreciated. I had been searching on oracle forums, google, metalink but all of them refer to DOC Id 414163.1 but it does n't seem to work. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Once I execute the add nodeapps command as root on node 1, I was able to get vip exists for config nodeapps on node 2. The above 2 statements resulted me with same values on both nodes. After this I executed root.sh on both nodes, I did not receive any errors. It said CRS resources are already configured.
My questions to the gurus are as follows:
Should ping on vip work? It does not work now.

I just choose to install 10.1.0.3 software and after running root.sh on both nodes, I clicked ok and then the End of installation screen appeared. Under installed products, I see 9i home, 10g home, crs home. Under 10g home and crs home, I see cluster nodes(sunny1pub and sunny2pub) So it looks like the 10g software is installed.

Libclnysh.so.1.0 : cannot open shared object file..

Hi,
I was running Oracle for linux successfuly for about 2 weeks
now.. until from yesterday, I am starting to recieve the
following error when i run svrmgrl
libclnysh.so.1.0 : cannot open shared object file : No such file
or directory
But, however svrmgrlO works..
I tried to do a 'genclntsh ' but it gave me the following error..
ld: cannot open -lnsl: No such file or directory
I am using
-SuSE 5.2
-Kernel 2.0.36 ..
-patch for glibc installed
Memory 64 MB
I just cant understand why it started giving this problem after
all this time it worked fine.. what could have gone wrong?

Linux - libnqwebibotapi.so Cannot open shared object file

BI is running on my Linux box (Redhat). I have configured and started BI Scheduler. It starts without an issue.
When I create an iBot to be delivered immediately I get the error:
libnqwebibotapi.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory [nQSError: 77002] Could not load iBot library libnqwebibotapi.so.
My LD_LIBRARY_PATH is pointing to the location of the file: /opt/oracle/oraclebi/web/bin
declare -x LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/opt/oracle/11.2.0/client_1/lib:/opt/oracle/oraclebi/server/Bin:/opt/oracle/oraclebi/web/bin"
Any ideas? I am not sure what step I am missing.

Libsqlplus.so: cannot open shared object file

After oracle-instantclient-sqlplus-10.1.0.3-1 rpm install on Red Hat, running sql plus gives:
sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: libsqlplus.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The fix is to include in the sqlplus rpm the file
/etc/ld.so.conf.d/oracle-instantclient.conf
which would contain this line:
/usr/lib/oracle/10.1.0.3/client/lib/
Also run ldconfig in post-install script.

This is more flexibile than using ld.so.conf if you have
another version of Oracle or the Instant Client installed.

Shared objects problem with translation

Hello
Here is my problem :
- my default portal language is French, and I login in French.
- I create a navpage in the "Shared objects" pagegroup. At Portal installation,
this pagegroup is in English, and there's an available translation in French.
- When i see my navPage being logged in French, the SmartLinks (Home, etc)
always display in English while i expected them to by in French.
- I don't have this problem in a "normal" pagegroup created in english and
translated into French.

I have a second problem with shared objects :
So, i created that navpage and published it as a portlet to use it in pages but
when it doesn't appear in the portlets lists. In what Submenu of the porlets
navigator is it supposed to appear ? It is not in the "shared instances", and i
can't see any other "shared" directory.

Sharing objects in iViews

I am new in the development of iView. I want to access a JavaBean from many iViews. I tried to store it in the IPortalComponentSession with no success. I know the JSR 18 specific way....there I store it in the PortletSession. Where have to be the JavaBean stored in SAP Portal ? And with which Scope (SCOPE_UNIQUE, SCOPE_CONTEXT or SCOPE_COMPONENT).
I programmed a test case in which 2 iView instantiate a bean and store it to the IPortalComponentSession. But each iView creates its own JavaBean, not one shared.
Do I have to store the JavaBean in the HTTPSession ?

Yes, the SAP specific sessions and scopes are something which confuses everybody.
Just to make it clear in the background:
For each PortalComponentSession a Hashtable is stored within the HttpSession under the name "PCSESSION_<username>@<componentname>", for example: [email protected]
It is obvious that you cannot access data for other components from this, even if they belong to the same application. There is no store between the whole HttpSession and the PortalComponentSession (this is quite bad, for the PortalComponentSession for example having the good feature to differentiate between users for security reasons, this is missing if you don't add something by hand when using HttpSession to share for example application wide data).
Within this Hashtable, the objects are stored in the PortalComponentSession, in the following way:
For scope UNIQUE, under the key UNIQUE:pcd:portal_content/com.btexx/com.btexx.JSPDynPageExample|pcd%3aportal_content%2fcom%2ebtexx%2fcom%2ebtexx%2eJSPDynPageExample|myKeyForScopeUnique,
for scope CONTEXT, under the key CONTEXT:pcd:portal_content/com.btexx/com.btexx.JSPDynPageExample|myKeyForScopeContext
for scope COMPONENT, under the key COMPONENT:myKeyForScopeComponent
where pcd:portal_content/com.btexx/com.btexx.JSPDynPageExample is the PCD path of the concrete iView. I cannot see or explain the difference between UNIQUE and CONTEXT. For both, you can only access data which is valid for the same iView (within the PCD), when for scope COMPONENT you can share data among the same component (but called via different contexts / iView / PCD paths).
One more remark: The scopes are not surrounding each other! If you put something into the PCS with scope CONTEXT, you cannot access this object from scope COMPONENT.
Hope this sheds some light on this... (could be the beginning of a weblog I wanted to write since some months).
