Shared objects problem with translation

Hello
Here is my problem :
- my default portal language is French, and I login in French.
- I create a navpage in the "Shared objects" pagegroup. At Portal installation,
this pagegroup is in English, and there's an available translation in French.
- When i see my navPage being logged in French, the SmartLinks (Home, etc)
always display in English while i expected them to by in French.
- I don't have this problem in a "normal" pagegroup created in english and
translated into French.

I have a second problem with shared objects :
So, i created that navpage and published it as a portlet to use it in pages but
when it doesn't appear in the portlets lists. In what Submenu of the porlets
navigator is it supposed to appear ? It is not in the "shared instances", and i
can't see any other "shared" directory.

Problem with translate function (C++ parser v9)?

When upgrading to v9 of the C++ parser, we notice a problem with the translate function within xsl stylesheets. Take the following snippet :-
<StartDt><xsl:value-of select="translate(string(CheckInDate),'-','')"/></StartDt>
Previously, this statement would strip the '-' chars from our input dates of the form 2002-05-02 to give 20020502. It now does not replace the '-' chars which causes our transformed output to be invalid. We have many developed and tested xsl's which now don't work.
When we revert to v8, the same xsl's work correctly.
This happens on all platforms (Windows/Linux/Solaris).
Anyone else noticed this?

It worked for me as well.
Use DUMP to find out the char code used for é and ú and try to replace these character codes.
On my system it is 130 and 163

Problems with translated text in captivate 7

I want to create a multilingual e-learning version. I can translate all texts. Unfortunately I can not change the selected text in the pop up window. I have no idea how I can change this text. Can someone give me a tip.

Hellou guys, Somethink similar: After installing 7.0.1 patch the project created 7.0, lose translated text inside Succes/Failure etc. captions and show default English texts, for example in quizes captions. Hmmm... In preferences dialog default labels are still translated, but after publishing project, the captions are English. So I used trick - Find/Replace dialog - and change manually all text captions with translated version. After publishing works fine. When I create new project directly in 7.0.1, there are no problem Perhapse, small bug. Can live with it because the new enhacements inside 7.0.1 is much important.:)

Hi.
Try this: Open Terminal and type at the prompt:
Killall Dock
that will quit Dashboard and relaunch the Dock. Then go to User/Library/Preferences and trash:
widget-com.apple.widget.translation.plist.
Then go to User/Library/Caches/DashboardClient folder and trash the subfolders inside it (they are numbered 01, 04, etc. This will clear the Dashboard cache).
Open Dashboard and verify if it works.

Problem with translation transport

hello everybody,
I have an application with two corresponding transport requests (this is because I would like to transport to different systems only part of the functionality of the app). Recently a translator made an English translation of my application which resulted in a new transport request with about 100 new objects. I would like to distribute accordingly these objects to the two old transport requests ( respectively the two parts of the app). Is there a way to do this, to find out which translation object belongs where?

ABAP Objects: Problems with controls in splitter container

Hi community,
I have problems with the second control in a splitter container.
In the left container I build up a <u>list tree</u>.
On double click on a node a <u>column tree</u> in the right container is created.
This is working fine.
But if I double click on another node in the left container the right tree remains unchanged.
What do I have to do to update/refresh the tree in the right splitter container.

I now destroy the right container and the right tree control if it exists after the event 'double_click' on a node in the left tree.
The result is now that the container is created (I can see it on screen) but no tree is shown.
If I just destroy the tree control but not the container the tree from the first double click on the left tree is shown.
In the debugger I see that the list tree instance is linked to the caontainer (after first and second creation of tree control)
Maybe you can see in the coding below what's wrong or missing.

Problem with translations

Hi,
I'm dealing with translations at the moment using transaction se63.
When it comes the time of looking at the result, two things happen mainly:
- The translation doesn't work
- Or it takes ages to show up
Does anyone knows a way of activating the translations automatically by means of a report or whatever?

Hi,
Go to se63 t-code menu - >Translation->ABaP objects -> translated objects.
enter the R3TR in one text box , in the second box enter the object name ie if table is been translated then give as TABL, in the third text box give table name.
click on edit .change the text .
after that execute the report RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER, enter the target language as en , then on the application toolbar click on the second push button ie create request cntrl + f1, after creating the request execute the report, the result is that the request which is created by you will have all the translation done by you

Problem with translation of Adobe forms

Right now I am working with Adobe forms.
While Translating the forms from English into Spansih I am encountering a problem.
Even though it is Translated into spanish, if I login in spanish (ES) and see the Text is stil in English.
the text is in 'TEXT' field.

When translating your form MAKE SURE YOU LOGIN TO SAP WITH THE TARGET LANAGUAGE FOR TRANSLATION!
For example, if you have an english form and want to translate it to spanish, login in spanish, go to SFP and do your translation to spanish. It should have a pop-up shown that says "original language" is English....keep it as that.
Not sure why it works this way, but it does. I would love to be able to login in English and then simply do all my other translations from there, but it doesn't work that way.

DHTML Menu - Problem with Translation

I have the DHTML menu installed within portal and have just added a "French" Translation to a few of my page groups. When I flip over to French using the "Set Language" portlet, the menus no longer show up.
In addition, when I edit the menu, none of my page groups are there to select as the basis for my menu.
Is there any way to make the menu compatible with Portal's Translation function? Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I'm getting the same problem. I'm trying to add Portuguese translation and the dhtml menu simply disappears.
How can i solve this problem?
I don't think it is a issue with the code because it works fine for both languages in another page group.

Russian Translations problem with Translation Tool Package

Hello Everybody.
I'm doing some translations and whenever I try to paste a Russian text into one of the messages in TTP, the app transforms the Russian characters into question marks. For example:
Предупреждение: Контактное лицо X не имеет связи с Бизнес-Партнером Y. Но Активность будет сохранена.
TTP Transforms it into:
??????????????: ?????????? ???? X ?? ????? ????? ? ??????-????????? Y. ?? ?????????? ????? ?????????.
Did anyone come across with this problem?

It looks like Translation Tool Package does not support russian character set and that's why it is displaying as '?' which means character is not recognized by the application.
Are you able to type the russian text in a note pad?? If you can type and text is proper, Operarting System is able to recognize russian characters, and not the TTP.
If it displays '?' in the notepad also, it means OS is not able to identify the Russian character set. In this case, you need to install the russian character set in the machine.
Can you please provide which CRM mobile release you are currently using. In case if you are using CRM 5.0 or above, you can translate the texts using Mobile Application Studio itself.

Air Sharing app problems with updating

Avatron says this is an iPhone software issue:
"I'm afraid sometimes the only way to get around these update lock-ups is to completely restore your phone as a New Phone. This company had a problem in the past with updating its software, is this an iPhone issue or is it an Avatron issue? It seems odd that if Apple vets these applications and updates, this issue should have been identified and corrected. Now, I have paid for an application I cannot use (either the old version or the updated one).

I had no problem updating. I see others were able to move all their files off the iPhone (in Air Sharing) and then do the update. Others had to take the added step of deleting the application and then re-install.
I would not say this is an Air Sharing only issue. The idea of having to restore a phone to new to get some pesky installs or apps to work has been talked about many times. I have never had to go that route, but many people had to as a last resort.
It could be an Avatron issue, but historically, their app is not the only one that has required such extreme measures. Update 2.1 fixed most app store issues, but some people still report them.

Family Sharing Issue: Problem with child account not having access to parents purchases.

I created a family sharing network consisting of my me, my wife, and my 16 y/o son. I can see/download my wife's purchases and she can see/download my purchases. I can also see/download my sons purchases. My son can see my purchases, but when he attempts to download them he gets the error message "Unable to Download: To download shared content, your Family must have a valid payment method."
There is a valid payment method and the account and it was verified when sitting up my son's account for family sharing. I'd note that my son is the only one in the family that doesn't have a payment method associated with his personal account. However, I don't think that's anrequirement to set up family sharing.
Hopefully, this issue will be addressed quickly.

Shared review problems with Acrobat X Pro

I have used Acrobat X Pro many times to create a shared review without any problems. Yesterday I went to share a few files for review and kept getting the error "could not save the shared review enabled pdf file." I googled this problem and have tried all suggestions I could find, but none really worked. I deleted and recreated the PDFs and eventually got 3 of the 4 documents to send (I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how) but can't get the last one to send. I keep getting the same error. I tried deleting and re-installing Acrobat. The file is not in the same location as my server. The only difference from the other 3 documents is the content. They were all generated the same way (SmartPDF in Altium). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any tip or solution anyone, please?

i've converted a pdf file to a word document but it was a scanned document so word had to translate it but its come out as a load of gibberish.
i have over a hundred pages of corrections to make because of it so i was wondering if any of you could either tell me what i could of done wrong r tell me how to do it right:-)

You cannot use Reader to do what you want. Depending on the language of your original document, you might be able to convert the document from a scan to text with Acrobat Professional. You can also investigate programs that are dedicated to OCR.

Problem with translation

Hi all,
I notice a phenomen with the teamviewer.
when my portal is in french, teamviewer is in french(it displays french sentences). When I configure my portal in english, teamviewer stay in french !
I logged off and close my browser.
One moment after, I connect to the portal(which the language is english) and the teamviewer is in english.
Do you know the problem(session surely)? If you have any suggestions or tips, thanks.

Have you tried refreshing the teamviewer with the icon in the tray? Another thing that may matter is the language that your web browser is set to, or even possibly the language the computer is set to...
Just a thought.
