Oracle*Terminal configuration problem for Web deployment

Hello everyone!
I am a novice in using Oracle Forms 6i. I installed a Forms 6i Developer and Server at Windows 2000, the same machine where 8.1.6 Server is running (of cource I installed DB server and Developer in different Oracle_Home's).
Everything seems to be going well while trying "Client-Server" model. But I can not suceed in deploying forms to the Web. For example when I try "Run a form on the Web" standard option, after I try to run a standard test form (test.fmx), I get another Browser (IE5) window opened, then an applet loads and after that I get a Java-form inside of IE5 window with red bell picture and an error message: "Error while opening Oracle*Terminal file fmrweb."
Can anyone help me with an advise what to do in such situation?

I can't answer the specific problem about the test, but the resource file is set up as follows:
The html file that invokes the Forms applet has a server argument showing where the terminal key-mapping file is stored on your forms server. In your case it appears to be looking for fmrweb.res and can't find it.
Take a look at the html and find the path it is using to look for it (I think you'll find this in the ServerArgs parameter). Then make sure the file is there on your Windows 2000 server.
If it isn't there, do a search for it in the server's Oracle_home directory, and then copy it to the directory where it is expecting it. Along with fmrweb.res, you can also use fmrpcweb.res - just replace fmrweb.res in your html file.

Oracle streams configuration problem

Hi all,
i'm trying to configure oracle stream to my source database (oracle 9.2) and when i execute the package DBMS_LOGMNR_D.SET_TABLESPACE('LOGMNRTS'); i got an error bellow:

When checking some docs, they told i have to destraoy all logminer session, and i verify to v$session view and cannot identify logminer session. If someone can help me because i need this sttream tools for schema synchronization of my production database and datawarehouse database.
That i want is how to destroy or stop logminer session.

I profit if you have some docs or some advise for my database schema synchronisation, is using oracle sctrems is the best or can i use anything else but not Dataguard concept or standby database because i only want to apply DMl changes not DDL. If you have some docs for Oracle streams and especially for schema synchronization not tables.

How to configure SSO for web dynpro ABAP (not web dynpro Java)

Hi Experts,
    I am testing SSO in IDES for web dynpro ABAP (Not for web dynpro Java / not for portal). When I am entering url of web dynpro application in web browser like internet explorer, then it should ask for user id and password first time, after login whenever user would access that url, it must not ask for user ID and password (url would be access web browser in mobile). For this I select to configure single sign-on for web dynpro ABAP. I have done below works:
1). I have created a web dynpro application having url: http://susws076.sap.swk:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zadb_hello_world2
2). I run TCode SICF and access service node to "Zadb_hello_world2". Double click on it, hit change. pressed "logon data" tab, select "Alternative logon
     procedure"
   Then deleted all logon procedure other than "SSO Authentication" and saved.
3). Go to "STRUST" and create certificate, choosed "Environment==> Logon Ticket" fill the required parameters and execute. It is OK (no red traffic
     signal).
4). Execute TCode "RZ10" to change profile parameter, insert new parameter (indicated by red arrow)
After all this settings I opened a browser enter above URL and hit enter but there is an error
There is no login page. It directly showed this error page. No cookies is saving.
Can anyone tell me what all the settings/configuration other than this I have to do. And is there any wrong setting done by me?
How to set the for single sign-on?

you could look to see if the server returned any useful information within the log file . also, you could increase the server log level to fine to get more information.

Configuration Problem for SAP XI 3.0 Demo Example Configuration

We try to configure the demo and everything works fine until chapter 4.1.2 Manual Editing (page 34). When trying to set the condition for the receiver determination XI_105 | FlightSeatAvailabilityQuery_Out by clicking in the condition column (point 5 of Manual Editing) we get the failure message Problem Loading Schema Description: Message interface does not exist in any software components installed on this business system
The client 105 is defined as business system XI_105 (type Web AS ABAP) in SLD.
By trying to create a receiver determination manually, there is also an unexpected behavior.
When we choose Service XI_105 or any other business system of type Web AS ABAP the selection of an interface or a namespace has an empty result set. (Search Result: No objects found!)
If we define a dummy System of type Web AS Java or Standalone Java the selection of an interface or a namespace shows the complete list of all defined interfaces and namespaces. (FlightSeatAvailabilityQuery_out and many others)
Has anybody an idea, whats the problem is.

Check if the software component you are using is included in the Technical System in the SLD. If it is not there include it. Next step, also add this to the relevant business system and save this. It should work, and you will not get the error.
I guess the demo is a part of 'SAP BASIS 6.40 Software Component', so see if this component is included for your technical systems and the relevant business systems.

Oracle Forms vs APEX for Web Development

Could you please suggest me which Oracle Technology will be better suitable give flexibility for developing a web application of Information processing.

2) Oracle Application express

I think you should also include the licensing issues in application development/deployment plans. As you might know, Forms requires iDS (for development) and iAS EE (for deployment) licenses. For JDeveloper and ADF, the development platform is free and the iAS Java version is much cheaper compared to the iAS EE license. When it comes to APEX licensing, it is free as long as the database server is properly licensed. For a small size company, APEX and the JDeveloper + ADF and iAS Java version makes perfect sense. Because Forms Services is only a part of the EE version of the iAS server, it might be an expensive option for a small scale application. On the other hand iAS EE is very capable and scaleable framework and you can deploy both J2EE, Forms, Reports, Discoverer, Portal applications from a single platform.

Strange Behavior for web deployment of Anyconnect essentials

We've got a weird problem that has popped up and we've been unable to figure out what's going on.
We have instructed our user community to start their VPN sessions by connecting to our ASA 5520 with a browser to download (if necessary) and initiate the Anyconnect essentials VPN client. Everything was working fine until a few days ago.
We have had several people report the same problem. They connect with the browser, enter their login information and are greeted with our "authorized use only" message by the ASA. Then, instead of downloading (if necessary) and starting the VPN client software, the web page just goes back to the login prompt without displaying any error message. The client software is never downloaded or started.
We've been able to work around this by installing the client software manually (where necessary) and starting the VPN client from the start menu. However, this isn't our preferred solution because this method won't have them automatically picking up updated versions of the VPN client.
We have seen this behavior before when there was a pending Java update that had not been applied. However, that doesn't seem to be the case this time. Clients have recently updated to IE9, but I have personnally been running the Anyconnect client and launching through IE9 for months.
Any ideas about what's wrong or how to debug this?

Hi Patrick,
Ideally, when you have Anyconnect Essentials enabled on the ASA, you cannot get access to the Clientless VPN (Web Portal access to the internal resources) however the Web Launch of the Anyconnect client does work with it.
I see that you have implemented this a different way (workaround) by manually installing the Anyconnect VPN clients on the machines and then trying to connect it to the ASA, which works and this means that configuration on the ASA for allowing the Anyconnect connection is correct. Now it is not allowing you to launch it from the web portal on machines which means the download access has been restricted somewhere on the ASA.
Could you please follow these two steps and let me know if you see something different.
1. Get access to the ASDM and follow this: Configuration>>Remote Access>>Anyconnect>>Edit the tunnel-group on which you connection is landing>>Login setting. Please check if it says go to the clientless portal or launch Anyconnect. It has to be Download Anyconnect automatically.
2. If you are not getting the prompt for the username and password on the webportal then go to Configuration>>Remote Access>>Clientless (not sure if it is under Anyconnect or clientless, please check both) where you get option: shut down portal login on the main page. Please make sure that it is unchecked.
In your case I see that the users are getting prompt for the username and password however when you authenticate yourself you are getting error message: authorized use only then it could be something to do with the DAP Policies (dynamic access policy).
Go to the dynamic access policies and you will get an option named as Anyconnect (please check if the correct option is checked under the same). If multiple dap policies are configured then please check the dap policy which gets pushed when the user logs in and make changes to that specific dap policy.
Please let me know if this help else I would request you to open a TAC request and we will look into this issue. If you find something different then please share here.

How'll I know that how much space I used out of 4gb?It depends. If you set your data files to autoextend, you could monitor them at the OS level. You could query the DBA_SEGMENTS data dictionary view. I believe the web interface to the XE database also provides a graph for this.

after 4gb how much it'll cost for unlimited space?That depends. Among other things, it depends on the edition you'll be upgrading to, the number of CPUs on the server, the country you're in, the organization you're working for and, most likely, your skills at negotiating discounts with your Oracle sales rep. http://store.oracle.com gives you the list prices of the various editions.

Problem for web service path for Xcelsius engage in flash object

Hi, All
I had created one xcelsius through Web Service of SAP B1.it works well.
but when I run the flash object came from xcelsius by explorer,it gives one message
"Can not access external data"
thier I have to give path for swf file and web service path -- (which is given at the time of connection of xcelsius through web service in data manager)
and I have to run the web service then it shows
the dash board made from Xcelsius very well.
but when i change the path of same web service to other m/c then flash file does work and it gives message
"Can not access external data"
but in practical my web service path can be changed, it should not fixed for path which is given in data manager in Xcelsius.
I am using Xcelsius Engage 2008 sp3
please give suggetions for solve the problem

Aside from the question, I tried another methods and I have succeeded calling webservice. A reference URL is

Main cause may be jsessionID as you guess. When I try with EAI, I have send login information and message call at once, so URL may be incorrect.

How to select a Hibenrate configuration file for web application/junit?

I am using hibernate for a web application.
I have two configuration files: one ("hibernate-jta.cfg.xml") uses a data source and the other ("hibernate.cfg.xml") directly uses jdbc.

When I deplyed my applcation to an application server, I need to use the first one. When I run junit test, I need to use the second one.
How can I design a mecanism to switch between the two configuration files according the the case: web application or java stand alone application?

My solution is to add a new public method "initFactoryForJunit() " in the Static singleton.
In the junit test, this method will be invoked in order to load a second configuration file.

Cursor Problem in Web Deployment

Hi Guys/OTN Members,
After deploying the forms in Web, first time the cursor is not
appear(blinking) to enter the login. But, after refreshing the
sight the cursor appears(blinking).
Could anyone help on this issue?

My bet is that you are not working with the latest patch of Forms
6i.
This used to be a problem in old versions of 6i but it is now
solved with newer patches.
Download the latest patch from otn.
