Order Perspectives

Hello Everyone,
We have added the canned 'Custom Search' portlet to our site and it works really good. An enhancement that we would like to make though is:
When you click the perspective icon in the seach window, the perspectives window pops up. This window is divided in to 2 regions, avalable perspectives (left) and selected perspectives (right). We would like to re-order the perspectives that come up in the left window. It seems as if they are sorted by ID currently. How could we sort them by date or alpha-numerically?
This seems to be a very big issue for our user group and we are thinking we may have to re-write the custom search app if we cant find out how to do this. Please help :-).
Cheers,
Cory

I don't understand the question. It isn't an issue of using one or the
other. You can use both together if you like.
SWT Designer has excellent support for the creation and editing of all
common SWT, JFace and RCP components.

  • Pricing Procedure and Condition Types

    Hi Guys,
What do we mean by a pricing procedure in SD? Where do we assign this Pricing Procedure and what is the purpose of this?
Also what do we mean by the condition types? What does a condition type signify...
Please let me know the tcodes and also how can i understand these topics from a Sales order perspective? How do these coincide?

  • UHS-3 U3 transfer speed rate in microSDXC Extreme cards (SDSDQX-064G-U46A) - Are they UHS 3 or 1?

Hi there, This is a question for SanDisk engineers (hope Dr. Lucky , the wise SanDisk master can respond :-) The question is regarding the SanDisk microSDXC Extreme , part number is SDSDQX-064G-U46A and EAN code is 619659096014.
Looking at the front of the blister you can see UHS-1 (U1) labelled at the blister and also at the microSD card , I know that SanDisk has launched another serial of the same card with UHS-3 (U3) enabled , but at this time all the official SanDisk suppliers in the EU only have in stock the UHS-1 version. The prroblem is that the official pictures provided by SanDisk (Aprimo portal) appears the UHS-3 not the UHS-1 as the stock I have.  I´ve got a customer that complains about the UHS-1 transfer rate as he needs the card for 4K recording, I know that 4K recording is valid with UHS-1 cards as well. I´ve seen that Amazon has listed the UHS-3 (U3) version, and I wantedf to know if the card is the same despite the blister shows UHS-3 (U3)  or UHS-1 (U1). As far as I understand i think the card is the same as the read speed of 80MB/s appears in both versions (U3 and U1). Could you please clarify if there are 2 different versions of the mpn SDSDQX-064G-U46A? I guess this is a SanDisk commercial issue and the card is the same but I want a official response from SanDisk in oder I can clarify to my customers. In the past SanDisk launched many different versions of the same card (i.e. the microSD Ultra 64GB, android versions..etc..) This is a picture of the UHS-1 version :  And this is a picture of the UHS-3 (U3) version:  Thanks in advance for your response, Eduardo (MemoryVal)

    Hi memoryval,
The change fro U1 to U3 was a blind roll and the SKU has not changed. The cards are the same in reference to speed the only change was from U1 to U3. Unfortunately from a part number ordering perspective you will not be able to distinguish the newer U3 cards from the older U1 cards.

  • Your advise on canceling a delivery order from stock perspective

    Dear all,
I have a situation a sales return order is created, and later a movement type 657 (Returns from customer to blocked stock) is posted for the return delivery of 8pcs. Thus, there is an 8pcs appear in our blocked stock.
THen one week later, one logistic guy perform a stock transfer of this block stock of 8pcs to UU stock using movement 343. Thus, we have 8pcs of UU stock and 0pcs of block stock in our stock overview.
Then another week later, an outbound delivery for a goods issue of movement 645 (i..e. Goods issue for a cross-company stock transport order) of 1 pcs from our warehouse. Now, our stock situation become 7pcs in UU, and still 0pcs in block stock.
My question is our business want to perform a cancelation of the initial sales return order of the 8pcs. Which is impossble as there is no 8pcs of blocked stock that can be used to cancel out the intial material document of 657 movement with 658 reversal. Then I was thinking we can reverse back the stock transfer movement which is incured with 343 movement with 344 (i.e. move the 8pcs of UU to blocked). However, this is also impossible because our stock situation is now 7pcs in UU.
What is your advise if our business really want to cancel our initial return delivery document?
THere is no way to do this right base on my sitautaion i just describe? what is the alternative solution? thanks
    tuff

    Hi,
This is a production, those goods already issue out for stock transfer to other plant, cannot just reverse like that.
Does anyone have a best solution?
I was thinking about perform a physical inventory to make the 8pcs back into the blocked stock, then I will perform a VL09 to reverse the delivery.
But using this physical inventory method will lead to increase in stock value... but  does perform the VL09 which reverse the stock will cancel out the increase stock value cause by the phsyical inventory?
    please advise. thanks

  • DPS Feedback From Client: A Book Publisher's Perspective

    Greetings,
I thought it might be helpful to both Adobe and other publishers to post some real-world feedback from one of our clients.
    But first, some background:
We are a book publisher moving into the realm of book apps. Our book apps or not at all like their printed counterparts and mix in a bunch of new content and interactive features. Our apps are also not like magazines, which is what DPS feels like it was designed for.
We've been doing some testing with DPS, especially as it relates to a business model for us and our clients. We've also been testing resolutions, and figuring out the differences between single-issue and multi-issue apps.
I posted an overview of where our tests led us in terms of single vs. multi, here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4333151#4333151
and I posted some resolutions tests to see if an iPad 1/2 resolution app would look "good enough" on an iPad 3 (or the new iPad), here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4333426#4333426
and finally an overview of what we hope Adobe will do with single-issue apps and renditions, here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4333494#4333494
Below is a continuation of our DPS discovery process. At the same time we are exploring HTML5/CSS3/Javascript development with Baker. Although we've developed our own webapps, run everything in Amazon's cloud (ec2, s3) and have a development team familiar with everything needed to get a book app out via HTML, we are giving DPS a fair shot because we've invested so much money in Adobe's software and we'd rather our production team handle book apps instead of our development team.
With all of that said as a backdrop, we presented an interested client with the option of publishing two single-issue apps (iPad 1/2 and iPad 3) or publishing one multi-issue app.
Pricing wise, we kept our design fees the same with either option. The only pricing difference was $395x2 for the single-issue app route vs. a monthly charge to help us offset Adobe's monthly charge for the multi-issue app.
The questions from the client and answers from us went like this, in roughly this order:
Q: With the single-issue app, we don't pay an ongoing monthly fee?
    A: Correct. It's just the up-front per-app fee.
Q: And in the multi-issue app arrangement, it doesn't matter how little our sales trickle in 6-9 months down the line, we're still paying the monthly fee if we want to have the app for sale at all?
    A: Yes.
Q: Does either option limit us in terms of how long the app will be available for download?
A: No. Both options allow for ongoing sales of the app. The primary difference being you pay monthly to keep the app "alive" for multi-issue apps whereas single-issue apps live indefinitely with no monthly cost.
Q: So it seems like single-issue apps are the way for us.
A: From a pricing standpoint alone, yes, because most of your app sales will occur in the first month or two and single-issue apps do not carry any monthly costs down the line. That said, single-issue apps have some serious limitations.
    Q: Like?
A: For starters, we would have to develop two apps to target iPad 1/2 and iPad 3.
Q: So the customer would have to make the choice? We are expecting the customer to get  technical and figure out which app is for their device?
A: Yes. Renditions only exist in multi-issue apps, currently.
Q: Let's suppose we can get over that because eventually we will want to develop an Android version and a Kindle Fire version and in that case we are expecting customers to know which app works on their device...
A: Let me stop you there. Single-issue apps only work for iPad.
Q: So if we go the single-issue route, we simply can't ever develop an Android or Kindle Fire app?
A: Not as a single-issue app for any other platform than iPad. If it was essential you release on other platforms, we could look into converting the single-issue app into a multi-issue app later on, although we'd be looking at that monthly charge again.
Q: Right, which simply doesn't make sense for our app because of its timely nature.
A: We agree. Let's give up developing for other platforms for now and even indefinitely and focus in on just the iPad single-issue app development.
Q: Okay. So we release two apps, one for iPad 1/2 and one for iPad 3 using single-issue apps. What if we want to update the app down the road? Do we update both apps at once?
A: Actually, with single-issue apps, you can't update the app. Once it's submitted to Apple, it's locked in once and for all. Only multi-issue apps can be updated.
Q: That's another serious issue for us. Are there any other limitations we haven't discussed?
A: There are two more limitations: 1) Single-issue apps rely on the latest version of Adobe Content Viewer approved by Apple. Currently, version 19 of Adobe's DPS tools work with the Adobe Content Viewer that's approved and live in the App Store. That means we can develop your app using v19 of Adobe's tools but will have to hold off on updating to v20. This isn't so much a real issue as a potential issue. If, for example, v20 has some killer feature you really want to have, we simply couldn't use it. 2) Single-issue apps have no analytics.
Q: With all of these limitations, we're going to have to discuss internally which way to go. What's your recommendation?
A: All things considered, we think single-issue apps is the best solution now for your app. We have no exact target sales numbers in mind, but it's almost a certainty you will sell 80% of all app sales in the first 1-2 months. Knowing you want to keep the app available indefinitely means a single-issue app is the only way to go.
After two days and a few conference calls, the client decided to move forward with two single-issue apps, although a bit begrudgingly. We didn't pull any punches and let them know we expect Adobe to spend some time refining their pricing strategy and unifying the feature set as the technology starts to grow up. At this point, the seemingly wonky pricing structure and feature parity is the cost of being on the bleeding edge.
And we are now jumping into developing the app with DPS for our client. I should say, however, we are also working quickly to come up with a viable HTML5 route for publishing to avoid Adobe's system altogether. At this point I anticipate we will move to HTML in the next 2-5 months if Adobe's pricing/features don't start to move toward what we need. If we do jump to HTML, the answer to most clients' questions will be, "we can do that; for cheap; on all devices" and so on, which is a pretty attractive thing.
This ended up being considerably longer than I had originally envisioned, but my hope is it is useful for Adobe in refining the product and helpful for other publishers just starting down the DPS path.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Alistair,
Agreed. It wouldn't be right for us to pass on Adobe DPS' entire monthly charge to one client, and we have no plans to do so. We are still fine tuning the amount we would pass on to each client.
From our perspective, we are hesitant to invest anything at all in the multi-issue route because other paths to digital publishing/apps are looking more and more attractive. If we put out a handful of DPS multi-issue apps now (say, 4-5) then jump to HTML in 3-6 months, we will have to maintain Adobe's monthly fee indefinitely for the first 4-5 apps. It's as if we are paying Adobe for the right to be locked into paying Adobe monthly. No thanks.
From the client's perspective, even if the monthly amount we pass on is minimal, simple math shows at some point monthly sales will not cover the monthly carrying cost. When that point comes is pretty crucial to figure out, but it's likely it will come in month 2 or 3, which means the client would be forced to pull the app from the app store just 2-3 months after its release.
I keep trying to find a parallel for the business model in this new book app world. What is Adobe's role if we were talking traditional book publishing?
    - The book store? No, that's the role of whichever app store the app is sold through (Apple's App Store, Android Market, etc.).
    - The distributor? Possibly, since you could consider Adobe hosting the files as a type of distribution service (although, I'd prefer to host it all myself). If Adobe is the distributor, $0.30/download seems reasonable.
    - The press? I suppose this could be argued since Adobe takes an input of files and outputs an app like a press takes an input of files and outputs a printed product. That's sorta like a press. But if that's the case, a per app fee (or even a per download fee) makes more sense than a monthly carrying cost. We don't pay our presses monthly after they've printed our books for the right to sell them.
Obviously, there's a flaw in thinking about this new world in old ways, but I'd still like to figure out exactly what Adobe's role is and why we (or our clients) would pay Adobe monthly. If, for example, Adobe's pricing scheme was something more like $400 per app created (with all features like renditions, updates, social sharing, etc.) + $0.30 per download to host the file with an option to bypass Adobe's (shaky) hosting service, we'd jump into DPS with no reservations and be publishing dozens of apps per year. Instead, we're dabbling with publishing one app and working as quickly as possible to find other solutions, which would eventually lead to converting our Adobe Create Suite based production team to an HTML/CSS/Javascript team.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Migration of Purchase Order History using RM06EEI1

    Hi
I have migrated Open Purchase Orders from one SAP system to another SAP system.
I have loaded the Purchase Order details using business object BUS2012  and the PO History using program RM06EEI1.
Only open quantities were loaded to facilitate subsequent Goods Receipts and Invoice Receipts.
The records were loaded without errors.
The Material Ledger was inactive during the migration and activated after the migration.
Everything looks ok from a migration perspective.  The correct quantities are created on the PO, the GR shows on the History tab, and the correct GL Accounts were posted to i.e the GRIR Clearing Account and the IR Account.
However, I am unable to perform Invoice Verification (MIRO) and Reversal of Goods Receipts (MIGO) on these records.
The error message is "No (suitable) item found for purchase order".
Has anyone encountered this scenario and can shed some light on this issue?
    Regards
    Magan

    Hi,
I think the best solution would be,
Identify the open POs in legacy system
Migrate the data for these POs for table EKKO, EKPO, EKET and long texts.
Once migrated run tcode OMQ5. this will generate the correct file so that you can upload correct PO history.
Susequently, upload this file through the tcode OMQ2.
Check that you provide correct conversion accounts..
you will get correct Open POs and PO history of open POs from legacy to new system.

  • Why don't the questions as reported in forms match the order of questions on the pdf form used to collect the data?

I imported a PDF from for my survey. Then, I distributed it. People have completed it and the results have been submitted back to my FormsCentral account. The first two questions are text entry, then there are two 6 option multiple-choice questions before a 3 option multiple choice question. Why is it that in the report gives me results from four 6-option multiple choice questions before the 3-option question when there are only two? To make matters worse, the questions aren't coded with the text of the questions. They're coded cryptically, as are the responses. What the heck is going on and can I fix this?

    Drew:
I'm having trouble deciphering what you wrote: "As I said, the initial order seems somewhat arbitrary from the user's perspective." As I work in the political arena, I'm parsing this out. It's either a brilliantly worded "you're screwed" statement, or there is some ambiguity and hope here. Let's deconstruct:
"initial order" Does this mean the order of my questions in the survey? There's nothing arbitrary about them. I know the order of my questions
"somewhat arbitrary" Does this mean there's actually some order to the way the results are being outputted? If so, how do I determine that order?
"from the user's perspective." Is there another perspective from which the actual (original/initial) ordering of the questions can be resurrected?
I'm not trying to badger. That's not my intent. You have a user here who is reading hope from your words, and I'm trying to distinguish between real hope and a nice way of saying "SOL."
    So:
Answer One:  There is some hope
    Answer Two:  SOL
After this, I can mark the question. Thank you.

  • Order for GS3 cancelled TWICE - Won't let us keep unlimited data

Preordered 2 Samsung Galaxy S3 phones on June 26 in order to keep our unlimited data plans. Unfortunately, Verizon's order processing team emailed me on July 3 saying our order was cancelled. I quickly called Verizon at (800) 483-7200 and asked "Becky" why my order was cancelled and it was because the shipping address was different from the billing address. The reason for this was because my girlfriend wouldn't be home to sign for the phones upon delivery so she wanted them shipped to my house since I would be home and would be the one setting them up so we use them that day. After being on hold for quite a long time, "Becky" finally got back to me and I told her to just ship the phones to the billing address so there wouldn't be any problems. She then put me on hold again and after about 7 min of waiting, she told me that the order has been placed and should arrive by July 12. Then I asked for a confirmation for the order but she could not provide one for me but she said she would call back when she was able to get one. Already this seemed like a bad sign.
A couple hours later, my girlfriend calls to tell me that our order has been cancelled AGAIN. I quickly call Verizon and speak to "Diego" who then transfers me to "Barbara" in telesales who places the order WITH UNLIMITED DATA but asks for a form of payment. I asked to just have it billed to the account but she said that the order exceeds the $400 limit for account billings. I don't have a credit card for this order so she calls my girlfriend whose name is on the account but my girlfriend doesn't answer since she's at work. I try to call my girlfriend with "Barbara" on the other line. She doesn't answer and my other call with "Barbara" is lost.
    Back to square one.
I call *611 from my phone to speak with "Tyrone" who tells me the same thing, the order exceeds $400 for billing and they would need another form of payment. Since the original order was CANCELLED, they can't use the original credit card. I decide to take care of this matter on my girlfriends day off and ask "Tyrone" if we would be able to retain our UNLIMITED DATA plan since we had originally ordered the phones before June 28 and he said there would be no guarantee and would most likely have to fill out an "inactive pricing request" or IRP (not sure of the actual name).
    I gave up after that.
Of course this is incredibly inconvenient and I'm close to just terminating our service with Verizon over this situation. We've been verizon customers for a little over 5 years and would hate to switch to another wireless provider but this is by far our worst experience with customer service. From my perspective, It seems that Verizon is doing all they can to prevent us from keeping our unlimited data plan for use with our GS3's. Also, judging by the previous topics and comments on this forum, it seems this problem with retaining unlimited data is widespread.
This is obviously not worth bringing into a small claims court but how are any of you current Verizon customers dealing with this? Is it even worth it to keep fighting this?

i wouldn't give up. they clearly show that you tried to order it prior to 6/28. i would call back again, but this time have everything in order.....your credit card, details of the first order, etc, etc. i've seen a few people here have luck with getting it straightened out. just be stern, but polite. you ordered it prior to 6/28 and they need to reinstate THAT order. and i agree that it's absurd to have an area in the order for shipping address if it can't be anything except the billing address.

  • Specific Vendor selection from a Customer for component in a Bulk Order

We have a situation that for a Particular customer ordering Bulk they can only select an API based on Vendors
Customer one orders Bulk A and API X but API X can only come from Vendor 1
Customer two orders Bulk A and API X but API X can only come from Vendor 2
How can you manage this best in SAP PP ECC ?

    Hi Milton007,
Well as per your thread i would like to suggest you there is a cycle in MM module perspective Which is also called as P2P cycle
and here you have an option to select the best vendor.
So, i hope go for this scenario.

  • Item category TAK in sales order.

    Hi all,
Actually i am a PP guy. One of out user want customer specific planned and production order. For that he want to change item category in sales order From TAN to TAK. he want the system should directly create sales order for that item with item category TAK.  I manually changrd item category to TAK tested this in sanbox but system is not creating sales order specific planned and production orders after changing item category to TAK also. I also tried changing strategy to 20, 40, 82 but item category was not TAK.
Does item category is determined by strategy group in MRP 3.
When I changed item category to TAK why planned and production order were NOT sales order specific.
    Pl explain
    Thanks

    Hi,
how system come to know which item catwegory is to be used in sales order.
In your case, for TAK..if u check in VOV4 the item category determination must be like this...
Sales Order typeItem category grp(from Mat.master)UsageHigher level item cat.grpDefault item categ
    OR0001(make to order) BlankBlankTAK
This ishow ur item categ wud get determined in sales orders...
i wanted to know waht ia significance of TAK as item category in sales order
I beleive TAK does not have any specific settings for MTO scnario..it's merely a copy of TAN..Only Item cat.grp 0001 does matter in MTO scenario...and ofcourse strat.type from PP perspective..

  • Automatic creation of NB purch.order from UB re-stock order

    Hi SAP gurus,
we have the following business case (we operate in an R/3 4.6C version): we purchase goods from an Intercompany/3rd party vendor (e.g in US) which are imported in a different EU country (e.g. BE) before being physically received in the final destination country (e.g. ES).
If the user places the PO (NB order) with receiving plant directly the ES plant, this will generate wrong reporting in Intrastat and eventually in VAT (e.g. if Tax code determination is automated on the basis of the receiving country).
From our understanding for getting the right Legal reporting (Intrastat/VAT) a 2 steps process is needed:
    1) create the PO (NB order type) with receiving plant a "virtual" plant in the country of importation (e.g. BE)
    2) create a subsequent re-stock order (UB order type) from the "virtual" plant in the country of importation (e.g. BE) into the real final destination plant (e.g. ES)
Does anybody know if it's possible to have the automatic generation (material master settings via the MRP run in R/3 or APO) of the purchase order (NB order type) as a result of a lack of stock in the supplying plant (the 'virtual' BE one in our example) of a re-stock order (UB order type)?
If so, could you please provide some hints?
Thanks in advance for your help
    Regards
    Michael

    Michael,
From a planning perspective, use Stock Transport orders:
Set up STO BE>ES (Normally, type of sto is dependent on company codes, but I will assume you want UB)
Setup STO US>BE (again, type of sto is determined by business requirements, but I will assume your selection of NB)
You will need a plant in BE.  All the standard STO configuration and master data for both legs of the journey would have to be created.
You will need to perform receipt transactions in the BE plant, as well as issue transactions to the UB order.  One would normally think that the goods must physically move through belgium, and that an importer of record would need to take possession of them at the border.  If you use MTO, the two orders (NB/UB) can be account assigned to the same sales order and therefore linked.
Planning would be satisfied by the two step jump.  Other business requirements would have to be worked out.

  • Dangerous Goods checks in transfer order (based on purchase order)

    Dear,
We have defined a process to transfer products from one plant of our company to another plant of our company based on a purchase order (Transfer order), a delivery and a shipment.
Problem: the delivery and shipment could be checked in a Dangerous Goods standpoint but nothing seems to be available in standard to check the process at the first step : at purchase order step.
My question is : do you know if a standard feature exist on purchase order to ensure a "non frustating process" as soon as possible ?
    Many thanks for your help
    Best regards, Jérôme

    Dear Jerome
DG Set up is only related to SAP SD process (e.g. check SAP EHS online help), Therefore DG checks are not available in the purchase part. And your scenario it quite standard; Normally the DG check part starts in Sales process, then in delivery and then in shipment. If you use SAP TM again you can use DG checks there.
    C.B.
PS: e.g. SAP GTS and SAP EHS SVT are integrated in purchase process by standard. But is is not a good idea to "misuse" these modules for DG perspectives in MM process.

    Hello Gurus,
I have created a New Sales Order Type as per the given requirements. This is a Credit Memo Request. I have done all that are needed from SD perspective.
Can you please let me know what needs to be done from FI-CO perspective when a New Sales Order Type is created and this is a Credit Memo Request. If some one can let me know the customizations that needs to be done it will be very helpful for me.
    Thanks,
    SNK.

    Hi,
As per my understanding, there is nothing to be required from FI-CO perspective, in case when you defined a document type in SD.
During the sales order processing the SD-FI interface happenes for following activities
    1) Credit check (In case you use Credt management)
    2) Tax determination
    For more knowledge
go through the link given below.

    Hope it helps,

  • Help required in mapping Materials , Quotation and Sales order

    Hi,
We need your help for the following requirement
There is a vehicle model and colours for these models
Company gets sales plan from dealers for vehicle model and later dealer confrms  the PO Qty with model and required colour.
I need to map this in SAP.
I am proposing to create a Quotation for the sales plan from dealers with vehicle model and when company recieves PO , they will create Sales order with reference to Quotation.
The challenge i need to get all the colours ( finished materials ) for that model, currenttly all models and finished materials are managed in product heirarchy.
When i create order with reference to quotation..........the dealer should able to get the list of colours ( materials ) in the system for that model ( i am planning to create material masters for these models as well)....Please help me how to map this in SAP SD
i am just guessing if higher level item category concept can help .......or please suggest feasible solution
When he creates sales order with reference to quotation, instead of model ( mateial ) from the qtn ..........dealer should get the list of end prodcuts ( colours ) for the model in the sales order so that he chooses the required colour and saves SO.
Actually this is a portal driven project and SO creation is also integrated inthe portal for the dealers.

    Hi there,
You said that the sales order process is done through the portal through the dealers?  We are currently looking at a similar requirement from a customer perspective to create an online store sort of feel integrating the S/D module.
Can you share any ideas, things you did for portal integration?  Web Dyn Pro application, Visual Composer, gave portal access to the dealers to S/D transactions?
Thanks for any input you can give!
    Jonathan
