Order Search

Hi Experts,
I'm new to ABAP and SAP. I've been asked to develop a function module to fetch following fields.
Order#, PO#, ShipTo, Entry Date, Start Date-Complete Date, Vendor Name, Units, Invoice#
There will be only 1 input field and that will accept either PO#, Order# or Account#. I've to right a function module to fetch the required data, based on the given input.
Can anybody help me here with the logic and possibly with code outlines?

Hi akash,
Create a fn module, with import parameters as Order, Account or PO.
From Billing Document (Invoice) you can get the Sales Orders and from the corresponding sales order you can get the PO's.
Use VBFA table for the above.

As Standard there are 2 separate search fields for Status.
One for User Status
One for System Status
Are you sure that the other Status value you require are not for other Service Transactions different to the one you are wanting to search on?
If you need to make a only the User Status for a given selected Transaction Type, then you would need to make an enhancement to that Component

ISA, Sales Order Search, Search by extra fields

In the standard ISA, customer can search based on Reference Number, Transaction Number, and Purchase Order Number. The options exist in a drop down menu. I want to add extra fields in the menu and search with new criteria. How do we add functionality to search for other criteria?
What is the best procedure to modify the Internet Sales Application?

Please refer to SAP Note 685545. An example is explained there how to search for an extra field.
There are three areas where you have to customize.
-Changes to the UI -> JSP
-Extend the standard Java order search class
-Create a Z_BAPI to search using the new parameter.

CSC order search not working on local windows machine.

Hi All,
I am facing an issue when I set up CSC9.1 with Search9.1 on local windows XP machine.
I have setup everything for CSC with our ATG Commerce application.
The same DB and configurations work on my other linux installations.
Also, I have checked the JSP is present in the EAR at the correct location.
Below is the error which is thrown on the console when I hit the search button on CSC order search page.

This seems like a JBoss/OS problem. Can you check if you have the right permissions to the ear file - did you install JBoss as one user, and then install the ATG ear as another user, or does the JSP file/enclosing directory itself have some permissions issue? Did you start JBoss as a different user?
<Abhinav> - I am using multiple instances of JBoss for CSC, Commerce, BCC and other apps. All applications except CSC works fine. I also checked the permissions on the containing folder in CSC EAR and other EARs, and all are same. Also I am the only user for my machine and have done everything via my login.
Or, can you check JBoss startup logs and see if you have any relevant errors? Do you see any errors just before this exception in your server logs?

Enhance ERP Sales Order search

Hello experts,
I would like to know if it is possible to enhance the ERP Sales order search by adding new search criteria.
Actually, this search criteria is a Z field in the ERP sales order ( In my case, a field displayed in the Additional data B tab at the item level of the ERP sales order)
Have any of you implement such enhancement? Could you please give me any guidance?

Ordered Search Problem

I am trying to complete the code for an ordered search where the target entered is first compared to the last value held in the array. There is no errors in the code but when I press the find button to activate the search these messages are being displayed in the console:

Service order search based on IBASE is not working

Hi All,
I am facing one Issue in CRM web ui..when we search service order based on the referenced installed base id it's not returning the proper result..if we have multiple service orders for the IBASE id it's returning only few values some times even though if we have service order associated with IBASE id it's not returning any value..
I am guessing it's returning wrong result..
I wanted to check which logic has been written for this search result or is it using any search help table.. Could you please help me where we can find the logic written for this search criteria..

I found the following:
If you fill someting in the fields REFOBJ_IBASE, this value is being converted into a GUID internally
This happens in function CRM_BSP_OIC_1O_SEARCH_FROM_RF
So you have to make sure that the search field REFOBJ_IBASE points towards the field CRMD_SRV_REFOBJ~GUID_OBJECT ( via table CRMC_REPDY )
And even then I have the impression it only works when you only fill the Ibase in the order. When you fill the component there is a different GUID.
In my case I found out it is even more complex, so I will need to create my own search field (extend search structure )

ISA 50 - B2C Open orders search, extending generic-searchbackend-config.xml

I have several B2C sites and webshops, and B2C self-created accounts are common to all sites. The problem is that all open orders and completed orders (from all sites) appear in the open orders / completed orders in My Account. I'd like to separate the display of orders for each site.
Each of my site corresponds to a sales organisation in CRM / R3. In the GenericSearchDynamicContent class, which is used in the standard generic-searchbackend-config.xml to generate dynamic values in filters, I found a method addSalesOrg(). I tried to add this in the customer/generic-searchbackend-config.xml :

But it doesn't work, all orders are displayed. If I don't set the entityType and RAN, ABAP returns an error and doesn't take in account the property SALES_ORG, but I don't know if these are the good values (I found these values by debbuging abap ...)
I haven't found any documentation on the parameters I could add and the corresponding types etc., the Dev and Ext guide (and tuts) shows an example on how to add a search parameter in the selection screen and add a column in the result screen, but no detailed list of fields we could add...
Please let me know if you have a solution to add sales organisation to the search parameters, and links to documentation.

Cant find any of the classes.
(We are running ERP and not CRM.
But if I have a look at the log from the ISA it says that this fm is called.ERP_ISA_GEN_DOCUMENT_SEL
The FM isa also called correct and I dont think it is here the bug is.
I'm more suspecious about the XML file where I'm am making the Depending:
<depending propertyName="document_types" value="ORDER" />
Fore som reason this depending properti is ignored because the GenericSearchDynamicContent is called under also when searching for "CONTRACT"
I'm more conserned about the syntax in the XML - is this correct?
Or maybe have I added the the whole property at the wrong place - but in that case, it shouldent work at all, I think.

Ordering search results in Finder

When I search for certain files, I often need to sort the results in some custom order. Like by "date created". Or, by "date created", then by "kind". Unfortunately, Finder offers sorting by either "name", "kind", "last opened" only. Cmd+J (view options) actually doesn't offer an options. Creating a smart folder doesn't help either.
Am I missing something, or should I just look for another file browser for this kind of task?

Change sort order search results?

When I search in Mountain Lion I get a list of results, for instance documents that contain the word "serial"
see the attached screenshot.
The searchresults are ordered by name.
Only problem is the last result (starting with a Z) comes first.
I want the results starting with an A to show first.
In Lion you could reverse the sort order by clicking in the top bar (which says "Name" or "Naam" in my screenshot) but here that does not work.
What am I missing?

Best collection for ordered search?

I have a list of objects that need to be in a specific order (e.g. sorted by name). The list does not only contain the names as elements, but specific objects that have a field for the name/id. With a simple ArrayList, this is no problem. However, I also need to search in this (big) list very often for another field (date). The simple search is not very smart (for -loop over all elements until found).
I found the java.util.TreeMap class and its javadoc tells about what I'm looking for ... i think:
[This class guarantees that the map will be in ascending key order, sorted according to the natural order for the key's class (see Comparable), or by the comparator provided at creation time, depending on which constructor is used.
This implementation provides guaranteed log(n) time cost for the containsKey, get, put and remove operations.

So, does this data structure fullfill my 3 needs:
1) elements need to be sorted
2) search is quite fast (compared to brainless iteration over all elements)
3) insertion guarantees the elements to be in sorted order

You mean to say your list could have three kinds of
elements: name(String), date or an Object. In that
case you need to implement comparator for elements in
a way specific to your needs. I think TreeMap is the
best fit for your requirement, but I am no expert.
Just trying to think along with you, I could be as
wrong as u could be.No, my List contains objects of the same type (class "Item"). Each item object has misc fields: "posId", "incDate" and others. The list is filled so that the objects are ordered by incDate and posId. I sometimes have to search for specific incDate and sometimes for specific posIds, but to make things worse: I don't search for just 1 hit, but for a range of hits (time frame or set of objects with same posIds).
So, I doubt I can use a Hashtable or a TreeMap, because they are based on unique keys. I fear I have to stick with my plain ArrayList and do stupid for-loop searches to find my ranges - even though the objects are sorted ... ?
