Order Troubles

I ordered an iphone 6 this morning and at the end of the ordering process it said something like "Your iphone is reserved, but we can't contact the carrier.  You'll get an email with instructions to complete.".  So I get this email:

So I click the link and try to go through the process and it's forcing me to do an upgrade with AT&T.  For some reason, even though I should be eligible, i'm showing as not eligible for upgrade.  So the process just tells me to talk to AT&T.  I'm fine just buying the phone outright with no contract, in fact that was my intent.  So I call that 1800 number to try and get help.  The lady says well you should have not chosen a carrier and there's nothing she can do.
Is anyone else running into this?  I'm extremely disappointed as I do not intend to wait until Oct when I had a preorder in place and the stupid Apple system can't handle it correctly.

    When I send video from the sequence on the 1394 field at the output displayed in reverse order, because of what the image shows the effect of strobe and "comb". Is there a way around this bug? Will Adobe company to solve this technical problem? Thanks!

    OK so FCP 7 works fine with pro res 422 HQ normal and light. Premiere does not. Upper field settings imported straight into the sequence at first look fine. View it on a crt preview monitor through a video board (exactly the same way as FCP) and what an awful looking picture it is!
    Reversing the field settings cures this effect but hey! (having to render the footage though is not slick in a fast paced working environment) when exporting the footage to mpeg2 for dvd creation in studio pro - guess what! ....the interlacing problem is back again!
    So come on guys - will someone actually answer the question. Have I wasted several days and money trying to move to Premiere CS6 (almost on CC but holding fire on that one!) Somethings going to go - either the Samurai or Premiere.
    It's just like premiere does not see the upper field settings in the native pro res footage. And I've tried all sorts of configurations to cure the problem. The only way I found was to export the XFL files to FCP7 and work with the project on there. And seeing as I'm trying to get away from FCP this isn't ideal.
    So come on tech heads from either atomos or planet earth. Lots of other people have had this problem but no one seems to get a proper answer.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus "unspecified printer problem"

    I just set up my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One.  The set-up seemed to go okay, but when I go to the "devices" tab for "HP Connected" it has a yellow yield sign and says that I have a problem with my printer.  When I click on the yield sign symbol, the box says that "An unspecified problem was reported. Please check your printer."   When I check the printer pannel, there are no problems reported.  The machine seems to print okay, but I'd like to clear up this error that is shown.  Any ideas?
    Also, I've already done the restart and sign-off/sign-in stuff, so we can move on to second-order trouble shooting.  Thanks.

    HELP!
    I am having exactly the same problem. I am simply swapping out an existing Deskjet 3512 that worked perfectly at all levels, so i KNOW i dont have router/port/network issues. eprint was and is flawless. I just plugged it back in to check and it still works just fine with eprint.
    Using my new Pro8600, I send emails to my eprint address and they seem to go...and then nothing. they just don't print.
    I get the"Officejet Pro 8600 Plus "unspecified printer problem"" message but my front panel reports no issues.
    I'm a step away from taking this back and buying an Epson.
    My experience with their support has bee stellar at a commercial printer level.
    This seems to be a very common problem and I just dont have hours to monkey around with something that should work out of the box.
    any help will be appreciated.

    I was having trouble like many others ordering books during the last 2 weeks. I was also concerned about pending charges on my bank account. I received a very detailed explanation and helpful suggestions today form Apple Support. I am posting this in hopes that it helps others and ends all the frustration.

    I understand that you're having an issue placing a book order. I also understand that there were charges on your credit card statement that were eventually dropped.
    I reviewed the orders you submitted for the book titled "Honeymoon" and found that the file could not be opened. That is why your orders haven't processed completely. The size of the book shouldn't be an issue, so you don't need to change anything in it. Please keep submitting the order until you're successful. You may want to try during non peak hours so there'll be less traffic on your ISP's network.
    As for the multiple charges, when you make a purchase using iPhoto, Apple sends an authorization request to your credit card company for the approximate amount of the purchase. This is to verify that your account has sufficient credit to cover the amount of sale. It is a temporary authorization hold, not an actual charge. Most credit card companies remove authorization holds within 48 hours.
    Please note that even an unsuccessful attempt to purchase an item may cause an authorization hold, depending upon how much of the transaction was completed, and multiple attempts can cause multiple authorization holds.
    If you have any questions about whether an amount found on your online statement is an authorization request or a charge, or when the authorization hold will be removed from your account, please contact your credit card company or financial institution.

  • Having trouble with order

    Is anyone but me having trouble getting a new iphone? My daughter and I ordered them on the 9th, had them canceled by apple on the 17th. We reordered them and I can tell that by tomorrow apple is about to cancel them again. My order status went from prepared to ship to not yet shipped today. I spent 4 hrs on the the phone between apple and ATT today about this. Each one blames the other. I have talked to so many people I have a headache, and am ready to throw my iphone at someones head. We both have the original iphone so we are ready to upgrade, but now we are bith so frustrated that I am ready to leave ATT and forget the whole thing.

    On your first cancellation email, did it say that it was cancelled because it couldn't get an approval from ATT? if so, try calling ATT to see why it's not approved. I had similar issue where I accidentally placed 2 orders and one number can only buy one phone.

  • Trouble with subquery and rownum and ordering

    I'm having trouble making this subquery work. The basic idea is that the web app will show only so many rows of results on the page, but right now I'm just playing around in SQL*Plus. The address book holds mixed case, so in order to sort by name properly I need to use UPPER to ignore case sensitivity. This SQL statement works fine for me:
    select addressbookid from addressbook where addressbookid like '905430931|%' order by upper(addressbookid);I know that if you mention ROWNUM in the WHERE clause, you're referring to the row numbers of the ResultSet that Oracle returns. How do I use both ORDER BY UPPER(ADDRESSBOOKID) and WHERE ROWNUM > 25 AND ROWNUM <= 50? I figured a subquery would do it, but I can't write a correct one that does it! Below are my 2 attempts with the errors, and then I just tried to play with rownum:

    Btw, we've made all the table and column names in our database uppercase, so that shouldn't matter.

    If all you are going to do is print double sided and them make
    a single fold reducing the page to 8 1/2 x 11, one side of the
    original 17 x 11 page will be page 4 on the left as you hold
    the page facing you and page 1 on the right, reverse side
    should be printed so top is same as top on the the first side
    and will be page 2 to the left and page 3 to the right. Pick
    up the double sided document with pages 2 and 3 facing you, fold
    left edge to meet right edge; you should now have fold on the left
    with page 1 facing up toward you, turn the page as you normally
    would and pages 2 & 3 should be in order, and one more turn brings
    you to page 4 and the fold should know be on the right. I hope this
    explains clearly enough - if not, post back and some one should
    join in with a better explanation.

    You need to contact the developer of the game, or, the iTunes store support.  iTunes store "MIGHT" issue a 1 time refund.  If you want the credits for the game, talk to the game creator.

    Can you also see blackening in the power jack on the PowerBook? If so, I would be worried that the surge also damaged the computer/
    Does the computer run OK on just the battery? If it is working on battery power, that limits the number of things inside the computer that could have been fried.
    If the computer is severely damaged by the surge, it's not worth repairing. However, a couple of posters in Apple forums said their homeowners'/renters' insurance paid them replacement value of their computer after power surge damage due to known problems on the grid, like the huge power outage that hit the SW Untied Stats and part of Mexico yesterday.
