Ordered queue?
Hello, could somebody please advice - I need to build some kind of scheduled queue, where records have a time to execute defined in milliseconds. So a key will be a number, which defines a time stamp, and I would like to open cursor and first record will be a record where the key value is minimal, then next record will have value next to minimal and so on. I saw it is possible to do similar things with Sequence, but in my case I can insert one record with key 17, and another record with key 5, and when I open cursor and query for next record - cursor should return record with key 5 - not 7.
Hi,
The short answer is you can use a sequence or a timestamp in a format that you decide works best based on your queries. The keys will be stored in sorted order so that should give you what you want. JE automatically determines the record's proper placement in the database's internal B-Tree using whatever key and data comparison functions that are available to it.
When you create a cursor and traverse it, you can go in sorted order. For more information:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/je/GettingStartedGuide/Cursors.html
To see more information about cursor methods such as get(), previous(), please see:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/je/java/com/sleepycat/je/Cursor.html
What logical design do you have in mind? If you describe in more detail your logical design, the type queries you have, I will try to help you further.

There is two way's to fix this:
a) If you can get Bios Ver 1.7a, made by one of the user's you will rectify this problem, I had this ver but unfortunately I had to format my hard drive and I lost it all.
b) Use Ver 1.5, this version seem to work best for everyone.
Thank You I try the 1.5 bios... & waiting for the correct new bios... :( -
Customization to "Carry Out Sourcing" & "Process Purchase Order" Screens
Hi, we are using SRM 4.0 and wondering if following screen customizations are possible
<b>Carry Out Sourcing queue</b>
Is it possible to use some of the existing Fields/Area to show key information within the queue that are important to Buyers such as Total PR Value, Required Date, Comment Field (for Buyer to write notes or status)? The fields Category and Quantity are not that important to us than the other fields mentioned above.
<b>Process Purchase Order queue</b>
Is it possible to use some of the existing Fields/Area to show key information within the queue such as Requestor Name, Required Date, Comment Field (for Buyer to write notes/status)? These are more important to us than the Purchasing Org. and Purchasing Group fields.
The above requested fields will tremendously help the Buyer in managing the queue by making it easier to assign low value orders; by enbaling other Buyer/s to view cart status when covering for someone without drilling down per requisition/line. The comment field within the queue will help to immediately show why the order is on hold, etc.
I would be interested to know as well if you have any suggestions on how we can assign low value orders to junior buyers faster and more efficiently and if there is an automated way to do it.Thanks - Here is the quick clarification. We are not using Sourcing Cockpit (eSourcing, Bidding) functionality in SRM. By "Carry Out Sourcing", I meant the area where Buyers look for workload and add approved requisitions to their work area. That is the screen we are trying to customize. Is there a template for that as well and is it easy to customize without breaking the code.
Also please advice on customizing "Process Purchase Order" screen.
Lastly, is there an option to autoamtically assign the Approved Shopping Cart to a Buyer based on the dollar amount?
Thanks in advance;

Hi,
Can anyone guide me to any link where I could find the naming conventions for CIF queues (Like CFSTK* = Stocks queue, CFSLS* = Sales Orders queue etc..)
Ashutosh KulkarniHi Ashutosh,
Here are few of them with naming convention:
Initial Data Transfer CF_ADC_LOA
Stocks CFSTK*
Purchase Orders and Purchase R CFPO*
Planned Orders/Production Orde CFPLO*
Sales Orders CFSLS*
Manual Reservations CFRSV*
Confirmations CFCNF*
Planned Independent Requiremen CFPIR*
Requirements Reduction of Plan CFMAT*
Production Campaigns CFPCM*
Master Data for Classes CFCLA*
Master Data for Characteristic CFCHR*
Shipments CFSHP*
Planning Tables CFCUVT*
Hope this is what you require?

Allocating queues exclusively to app servers at the queue name level
I am wondering if there is a way we can achieve this
Let us say
When materials(r3ad_mat) and customers(r3ad_cust) are loading we want to assign these queues in the following way
material queues
R3AD_MAT* and csapr_mat* to app server 1 & app server 2
customer queues
r3ad_cust* and csabupa* to app server 1 & app server 2
sales order queues
r3ad_sales* to csa_order* exclusively to app server 3
This way app server 3 will be clear of the data loads and will be utilized for dialog users and sales orders.
Thanks in advance for your help.
PBIf the new server has the same users, and ldap reflects that, you can simply copy the entire queue over from the old box to the new box. You don't even have to stop the new server.
After your copy is complete, you can either wait for the server to notice the new files, or you can run
imsimta cache -sync
to tell it to re-read the queues. -
Anyone have their iPhone 5 pre-order shipping confirmation and working tracking link yet?
For anyone pre-ordering an iPhone 5, please post when you have a UPS/Fedex shipping tracking link that actually works and indicates that your iPhone 5 is in transit and whether or not it is scheduled to be delivered on Friday the 21st to coincide with when the iPhone 5 will be available in stores. And did you pre-order through the Apple store or through one of the carriers, e.g. Verizon or AT&T? And did you pre-order early on Friday the 14th or are you hours or days back in the pre-order queue?
Wahoo! Just finished up my pre-order on Verizon's site. (Apple site still displaying "We'll be back" page as of 3:18 AM EST). Definitely says 9/21 DELIVERY, not SHIPPING ...

PPDS planned order picking p an extra component when published to ECC
Hi Gurus,
When i create a PPDs Planned order the components are correct ,but when i send the order to ECC,its picking one extra component (whihc is already there in component list).Strange part is that the extra component whihc is popping up in ECc is withlut item category.
Any idea why publishing for only this material is behaving weird.
Please let me know if any suggestion
Thanks,
SuyashHi Suyash.
Ok, so if I understood the issue correctly,
1) Planned Order is created in APO. At this point, there is dependent demand on component X, which is present in the PPM
2) Planned Order is saved and sent over to ECC. At this point, a new demand on the same component X is created. So now, there are 2 dependent demands for the same component, which is unexpected.
Is this it? I would suggest stopping the planned order queue in the inbound of ECC when it is first sent over from APO, and then checking whether the data coming from APO is correct. Aside from that, check whether there are any CIF user exits in ECC inbound that may be influencing the behavior.

Mod_jk child workerEnv in error state
We're using apache2, tomcat 5 on a freebsd 5.3 machine. Starting apache we're having some "mod_jk child workerEnv in error state 30" error in our httpd-error.log. The error state number is increasing. Any clues?

Customer appointments useless re iPad 2
On Thursday, March 10, I received a phone call from a rep at the local Verizon Wireless store that they would be receiving the iPad 2s the next day, and asking if I'd like to make an appointment to come in and pick one up. So we set up an appointment for 6:00 PM on Friday, March 11. You would think the purpose of the appointment would be so you could just walk in and pick up one that was being held for you, right? WRONG!!!
I got to the Verizon Store at 5:30, just in case my rep finished up early with her 5:30 appointment. The auto sign-in program didn't register the fact that I had in an appointment, and a store employee finally came over and signed me in. At one point, I managed to snag an employee to confirm that if I had an appointment, they'd be holding my item for me and was told yes. So I didn't worry, thinking my iPad 2 was waiting behind the counter for me. I hung out in the store for awhile, only to hear somebody say the iPads were already sold out. I tried again confirming with someone that one was being held for me since I had an appointment, and was told they were unable to place customer holds on newly released items. I asked what the purpose was of my setting up an appointment, and they couldn't tell me.
Finally, my rep finished up with her other appointment and told me that she had tried pulling iPads for all her appointments, but was told to put them all back. So I asked why I didn't get a phone call, as then I would have known to come EARLY, and stand in line with everyone else and take my chances. She didn't have any kind of answer to that question, and I most definitely did not receive a phone call.
The staff could tell I was upset about making an appointment for absolutely no purpose, and they offered to do what they could to make it right. The only thing they could do was place an order for the iPad, and tell me they'd have it overnighted to be at no cost to me. Fine. They said because of the time, they thought it might be able to ship out on Friday, but that it should ship on Monday at the latest. They said I could check online for a tracking number when I got home. They also said that no flags came up when they placed the order, which meant the item was in stock and would be shipping to me.
Later that evening I tried to check order status online, but got an error message of technical difficulties and to try back later. So I called in, the rep was finally able to locate my order, and said that shipping was showing as process pending. She said I should have it Monday and to call back Saturday morning for the tracking number.
Saturday morning, still the same online error message. I called again, and was still told I should have it Monday. Called Saturday afternoon/evening, encountered a very nice young man, but he gave me the unfortunate news that due to the time the order was placed on Friday, shipping had already ceased for the day, and I never should have been told at all that the item would ship Friday. He looked at the records, and told me that it should definitely ship to me on Monday, and to call back Monday for a tracking number.
I called back around 11:30 eastern time today, and still no tracking number. I explained the whole sorry history to this girl, and told her how frustrated I was that every time I called back to confirm what a previous rep had told me, I was then told I'd been given incorrect information. All she would tell me at first was that it was showing shipping in process, and that once it actually shipped, I'd get it overnight. I went round and round and round, and finally convinced her to check inventory levels of this particular iPad 2 model to verify that Verizon actually had it in stock and that it was not on back order.
She confirmed for me that there were adequate inventory levels and that it was not on back order from Apple. She said to check later this afternoon to see if the shipping department had made it to my order.
I called back a few minutes ago and it's still showing pending. This rep said she would send me a text and let me know whether it did or did not ship today.
I'm very angry that at every step of this process a rep gives me information, then I call in later to talk with another rep, and I've been told the previous rep gave me incorrect information. If this had just happened once, it wouldn't be so bad. But it's been with pretty much every single step of this process.
At this point, if either my local Apple store or Best Buy receives an AT&T version before my Verizon one ships, I'm going to go grab onto the AT&T version, cancel the Verizon order, and buy the AT&T version.
I've been a Verizon customer for so long now I can't even remember, but at least 8 years. I have never received such astoundingly bad customer service in the past. But this experience has been so bad I'm not even sure I want to remain a customer. I'm about ready to switch over to Virgin Mobile when my contract expires in December: $25 a month for unlimited internet/data/tethering of the iPad. I could have 4 phones (mine, husband's, 2 kids) with unlimited data for $100 a month, instead of the $155 I'm paying now for three phones but only mine to have internet access.
Verizon's going to have to work very, very hard to prevent me from doing just that. Save $55 a month and have ALL members of the family able to have unlimited data plans on their Android phones? Why wouldn't I jump at that? There's ample competitor coverage everywhere we'd need to use our phones. I would be updating to an iPhone 4 right now from my enV Touch, but I have unlimited data on my current plan, and I'm not willing to pay yet another $30 a month just to have the same access on an iPhone.
Because right now, I'm very fearful that there really isn't an iPad sitting in a room somewhere waiting on me, and just waiting on the shipping department to get that far through processing the order queue to pack it up and send it on its way to me. I'm very afraid that all the iPads that were originally available have already shipped, and my order is one of those that will be waiting 2-3 weeks for the next shipment of products to arrive from Apple.honestly make the switch. I am soon. I have been seening this happen alot lately. Verzion looks at as we have the iphone or pads and we can treat them like crap now. There thinking they will stay becuase were better then ATT. I have been looking at other services as well. I am seeing i can get better covrage and save alot more and get a better phone with them. make the switch

Parent/Child requests in error
Hi,
I am actually working on a custom interface where I will have to pause the parent request when the child requests are running.
APPS.FND_SUBMIT.submit_program (
application => r_stage_program.application_short_name
, program => r_stage_program.concurrent_program_name
, stage => r_stage_program.stage_name
, argument1 => l_arguments(1)
, argument2 => l_arguments(2)
, argument3 => l_arguments(3)
APPS.FND_CONC_GLOBAL.set_req_globals( conc_status => 'PAUSED'
, request_data => l_user_request_set_name );
When I am using these codes in the custom package, it says No Active Manager and the parent request is terminating in Error.
Questions:
Is there a child concurrent manager that should be activated to avoid the “No Manager” warning?
Is there another example where the PAUSED request is used ?
I got the example below from Oracle. The problem is that it is terminating in “Error” for the parent request and it is indicating “Inactive” / “No Manager” for the child requests.
* This is sample PL/SQL concurrent program submits 10
* sub-requests. The sub-requests are submitted one at a
* time. Each time a sub-request is submitted, the parent
* exits to the Running/Paused state, so that it does not
* consume any resources while waiting for the child
* request, to complete. When the child completes the
* parent is restarted.

if r = 0 then
-- If request submission failed, exit with error.

request_data => to_char(i));
errbuf := 'Sub-Request submitted!';

end;
Can anyone help please if they have encountered this kind of problem?
Thank you in advance.

HTTP Error 501 with SOAP Sender channel
Hello,
i've am simple Question:
I want to call the following SAP XI SOAP Sender channel "MySoapSenderChannel":
XI-Parameters:
namespace: <myInterfaceNamespace>
Interface: <myAsynchInterface>
QoS: Exactly Once in Order
Queue: MY_QUEUE
We do not care about the Response - so the processing is asynchron.
Thus my interface mapping maps to asynch interfaces. The desitnation
is an ABAP Proxy. The configuration has been done and tested.
Here my question:
according the documentation, the URL has the following syntax:
http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel.
In our case:
http://<myHost>:8002/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:MyService:MySoapSenderChannel.
But when i generate a WSDL for the interface out of the Configuration, the address is:
<soap:address location="http://<myHost>:8002/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=MyService&Interface=...
and so forth.
But was is the difference between these 2 possibilities?
Why do i get HTTP Error 501 when i use the URL from the documentation (the first one)?
Thanx in advance
GunnarGunnar,
I will suggest you to go through it once to check all your connection.

A solution for batch print PDF documents
Dear,
I use a command line to auto print some PDF documents as below:
C:\>AcroRd32.exe /h /t PDF_file_name printer_name
the printing is no problem.
But when I use the command line to print a large number of PDF files, there are a problem, for example:
There are 3 PDFs that I want to print, they are 1.pdf, 2.pdf and 3.pdf
I sent command one by one like below.
C:\>AcroRd32.exe /h /t 1.pdf printer_name
C:\>AcroRd32.exe /h /t 2.pdf printer_name
C:\>AcroRd32.exe /h /t 3.pdf printer_name
But the hard copy from the print are:
first print: 1.pdf
2nd print: 3.pdf
3rd print: 2.pdf
what can I do for this case, I want to get the output seq. will be 1.pdf, 2.pdf, 3.pdf.
Thanks.KingPool's snarky response notwithstanding (he appears to have some financial interest in “pushing” sales of PrimoPDF), your need is real and your observations do correspond to the reality of printing. The fact is that when you use spooling under Windows, the application program actually can complete spooling of the file to the printer before that spooled output is ready to be actually transmitted to the device. The print process is a multiple step, asynchronous process.
To absolutely force printing in an exact order as per your scenario, go to the printer's Properties and select the Advanced tab. The printer is probably currently set to Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster with either the Start printing immediately or the Start printing after last page is spooled option selected. Change that to the Print directly to the printer option and then press OK. This will force printing in the order that you specify. Note however, that this forces Reader to wait as the document is fully printed and then terminate. You should reset that spooling option when you are done with this batch printing operation to regain system performance.
Alternatively, another approach you could try would be to hold the particular print queue before running your commands. Then, after ascertaining that all the print jobs are on the queue and ready to be printed, release the queue. The jobs should print in the order queued. And finally, if there still is a mis-ordering of the jobs, after holding the entire queue, put a hold on all the jobs, release the printer queue, and then release the jobs in desired order.

EIM Auto pushback - requeue at higher priority?
Hello,
In our EIM 4.3.2(8) implementation (ICM Enterprise integrated queues and agents), all new and incomplete activites auto-pushback to queue after 8 hours (overnight generally). The problem with this is, they're getting pushed to the back of the queue. I'd like to have all auto-pushback emails queue at a higher priority so that during days of high email volume, we don't get stragglers that keep getting pushed to the end of the queue while newer emails get handled.
I saw this:
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Transferred_Emails_Get_Sent_To_End_of_Queue
and thought maybe I could pull some Activity related column through to ICM to act on to change the priority... Not sure what I should use though. I considered looking at the "WHEN_CREATED" field and upping the priority in ICM if that's more than a day ago, but I wonder if there is a simpler way to do this.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.New tasks are sent from EIM to ICM in order queue priority, activity priority and oldest - in that order. While sending new task there is no differentiation between new email first time in queue Vs email which is auto pushed back to queue, if queue and activity priority are same then oldest activity criteria will be honored.
There is no other way in default EIM product to push auto pushed back emails ahead of others.
