Org unit Hierarchy structure  at Key date

Hello Friends,
We have an issue with  displaying HR Org unit hierarchy structure  between two calendar months.
The BI Report has a selection parameter to select Org unit hierarchy , Calendar month From  and Calendar month To
The BI Report is  to display the no.of sick absence days for employees in a chosen Org unit hier.
Employee  A had a sick absence of 5 days  in  the month 04.2011  in the Org unit X .  The same employee had a sick absence of 4 days in 05.2011.The Org unit X then delimit in 05.2011 , the Org unit X is no longer in Org structure from 05.2011.
When we run the report for 04.2011  to 04.2011 , the employee A is showing  absence   under Correct Org unit ie X with correct Org structure .
When  we run the Report for 05.2011 to 05.2011 , the employee A is showing absence under  hierarchy Org unit Not assigned which is OK .
But the issue is when we run the Report from 04.2011 to 05.2011 , The employee A absence days 9 (5 +4 ) showing under Not assigned Org unit hierarchy structure which is  the latest Org unit .
When I deactivate the Org unit hierarchy  and choose tech name of Org unit , It is showing correct Org unit key
But The user would like to see 5 days under org unit X  and 4 days under Not assigned with  Correct Org unit hier structure  when we run the Report from 04.2011 to 05..2011  .
We have a user Exit variable  for  the Key date  in the Bex Report  which  seems to be taking only one date at any time .
Is  there any way to get the correct figures under Org unit hier structure where  employee had absence in when we put range of calendar months on a selection screen ?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
You can try adding two more attributes to Org Unit as "Calender month from" and "Calender month to".
In these attributes maintain the validity period for the corresponding master data.
For example, in your case you can maintain the master data as:
Employee | Org Unit | Calender month from |Calender month to | sick absence
A | X | 4.2011| 4.2011 | 5 days
A |    | 5.2011 | 05.2011 | 4 days
And in report use variables for Calender month from" and "Calender month to".
Hence, when user executes the report with selection as:
Calender month from" = 04.2011
"Calender month to"    =  05.2011
The data will be read from master data based on these selections along with key date and report will show output as expected.
Employee | Org Unit | Calender month from |Calender month to | sick absence
A | X | 4.2011| 4.2011 | 5 days
A |    | 5.2011 | 05.2011 | 4 days
Hope this works for you.

    Hi
Yes, we can display the same by using time dependent hierachy's i.e. your org is converted to time dependent so that respective employee shows with respective of time.

  • Department / Org. unit Hierarchy report

    Hi Team,
I am trying to pull a department / org. unit hierarchy report that rolls-up, for example if I am an IT analyst, under Service mgmt, ultimately rolling up to IT (org. unit) similiar to PPOME view.
I did try a FM (RH_STRUC_GET), but could not get the req. details.
Let me know if there is something like this, that I can use.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please try evaluation path O-O-S-P in report RHSTRU00 as mentioned by semvladigo.

  • Transport of org.units and structure

    Hi all
I know there is a possibility to transport org.units and its structure (PPOMA_BBP). There are some settings to do in table T77S0 (key = TRSP.CORR) and 2 reports RHMOVE30 and/or RHMOVE50 to be used depending on the setting done in T77S0.
It is also required to configure ALE distribution model with IDoc type HRMD_A.
My question is: what do I have to include in the filter? What are the relevant info types to be replicated via ALE?
We're on SRM 4.0 with SRM Server 5.0 SP08. We don't have HR module in SAP R/3 in use.
Thanks anyone for some help regarding this one!

  • User In Planning unit Hierarchy unable to see data form in editable mode

    hi all,
we are facing a problem in planning unit hierarchy in Hyperion planning, where we have 4 users, Hierarchy is define as
    hierarchy: budget approved
    version: approved
    Entity: Finance
    Senario:Budget
    haroon asghar ( owner)
    adeel javid (Reviewer)
    Naeem asghar (Reviewer)
    Imtiaz (Reviewer)
Issue is that, after start the budget activity (promotional path) by Admin, the data form editable to Owner haroon asghar
but after completing his work by haroon, when he promote the planning unit ,the next user in Hierarchy "Adeel javid" unable to see data form in respective planning unit in uneditable data form not only for this user but all rest of the users as well, while i think data form should only uneditable(grayed) for user Haroon Asghar who promote the planning unit.
we have checked all security rights to the users those are "Write access" but still Adeel javid is unable to enter data,so the budget activity is stop due to this problem.
when i remove the planning unit then i log in with all user one by one and see all data form required version, scenario and entity were editable to all users mention above
we want to run budget activity with the above planning unit hierarchy.
plz any one provide the proposed solution of the said issue

  • Change Org.unit Hierarchy

    Hi,
I want to change hierarchy of organization unit X111 immediately after X1.
    Ex:
    Existing
    Root X
            |_X1
                |_X11
                |     |_X111
                |_X12
    Required
    Root X
            |_X1
                |_X11
                |_X111
                |_X12
Under Org.Unit X111 some employees exist. Live Payroll run at least for 1 year completed.
Is it preferable to change org. unit report to link from X11 to X1.
    What will be implications ?
    regard,
    Chintan

    Hi Chintan,
    Go to T Code: PPOME
According to your EX: Select X111, click on it and drag and drop it in X1. So that automatically the link flow over there. Hope there will not be any prob in payroll.
    If found useful awrad points

  • ORG UNIT Hierarchy

    Hi All,
I am working on a BI side of SAP. At my work place they have defined the ORG_UNIT Hierarchy in the poratl but not in the ECC Box. But there are reports our users are requesting to have a hierachial selection. Since it is not defined in ECC I cannot extract from portal. is there any way to findout what ever they have done in portal can find it in R3? What is the transaction to look for Hierarchy in R3 for 0ORG_UNIT or which setting or table I should look for the hiearchy?
Or should I insiat that this need to be created in R3 so Ican generate reports out of BI?
    Thanks,
    Alex.

    Hi Alex,
    The transaction is ppom_old
    Hope it helps

  • Blank positions views in org unit hierarchy

    Nakisa version: OrgChart 4.1
    Hi all,
I wanted to replace in views pos_standard and pos_portrait the position name by the position short. To achieve this, I made the template field named 'Position' point to Data element field POSITION_SHORT, instead of POSITION_NAME (out of the box setup) in both view templates. This method displays in view pos_standard the position short name instead of the long name (which is the intended result), but in view pos_portrait the content becomes blank (see screenshot).
Even stranger, when I revert the pos_portrait view back to its original setup (Position template field pointing to POSITION_NAME), the view stays blank!
There is no meaningful trace in the error log that could help me investigate this.
Is this something you have seen before?
    Thanks for your help.
    M.E.

At top of template generated for pos_standard (in my 4.1 build that is pos_standard_f532615d8a9a44f.xsl), I would look to amend this line from
    <xsl:variable name="Position" select="/cds/sections/section[@name='pos_standard_TopLevelDetailf532615d8a9a44f']/detail[@name='pos_standard_TopLevelDetailf532615d8a9a44f']/record/field[@name='POSITION_STEXT']"/>
    to
    <xsl:variable name="Position" select="/cds/sections/section[@name='pos_standard_TopLevelDetailf532615d8a9a44f']/detail[@name='pos_standard_TopLevelDetailf532615d8a9a44f']/record/field[@name='POSITION_SHORT']"/>
A few lines below, also amend STEXT to SHORT in:
    <variablemapping>
    <variablename>Position</variablename>
    <detailname>pos_standard_TopLevelDetailf532615d8a9a44f</detailname>
    <fieldname>POSITION_STEXT</fieldname>
    </variablemapping>
Sounds like you might have done that BUT did you also update the detailsdata used by the Position Views?  By default they don't include the POSITION_SHORT field.
See "..\AppResources\detaildataconfiguration\pos_standard_TopLevelDetailf532615d8a9a44f.xml".  Duplicate the line for POSITION_STEXT in the fieldset and change one entry to POSITION_SHORT. Put a copy of this new file in your .delta. Save and Publish.

  • Org.units structure/hierarchy

    Hi all,
I need org.units hierarchy/structure. I think of a table with fields like org.unit id, parent org.unit id. The data should be suitable for building a tree later which will display the org.units hierarchy.
I read much in the forum, but I didn't find smth helpful.
Is there a function module which exports such a data?
    Thanks,
    Ogniana

    Hi!
Well I don't know any function modules about it. I'm reading them directly from the table HRP1000, HRP1001. It is a bit complicated and requires a few hours till figures out the keys and the hierarchy (OBJID is the upper and SOBID is the lower level) in this table.
If no one will post a useful function module, you might try these tables.
I'll check back later maybe I can use a function module, if someone posts one...
    Best regards

  • Can a position be linked to more than one org unit by A012 relation in SRM?

    Hi All,
In the HR Org structure in ECC, a position (S) can have more than one A012 relation with different organization units (O).
    For example:
    S 123 has a A012 relation with Org unit A; validity date: 04/04/2006 to 12/31/9999
    S 123 has a A012 relation with Org unit B; validity date: 06/01/2006 to 12/31/9999
org unit B falls under Org unit A in the Org unit hierarchy structure.
But, in SRM I find that only one relation A012 linking S to O can be maintained, which is:
    S 123 has a A012 relation with Org unit B; validity date: 06/01/2006 to 12/31/9999
I tried passing the data again through PFAL transaction (update mode), but the data in SRM does not change.
Is this standard behaviour? Can't a person manage more than one org unit in SRM?
I am currently working on SRM 5.0 with ECC 6.0 as backend.
    Regards,
    Ancy

    Hi,
This functionality only relates to users who are professional
purchasers. It means that they can be responsible for more than one
purchasing group. In past releases, they were responsible for the
purchasing group that they hung from in the org structure. Since some
customers wanted that they could be responsible for more than one
purchasing group, but the system would not allow the purchaser to belong
to more than one org unit. Hence they introduced the new functionality
that I described above. However it is not technically possible for a
user to belong to more than one org unit since this would lead to
inconsistencies in the way that the attributes work.
    I hope this helps.
    Kind Regards,
    Edel.

  • Hierarchy Key Date

I've noticed something strange in our system.
We have queries defined using a time-dependent hierarchy for which we specified a key date different from the query date.
Now I cannot change it because the selection options for key date are greyed-out. Even creating a query from scratch with the hierarchy results in greyed-out key-date options on the hierarchy. It defaults to the key-date of the query. Can this be a change in behaviour after upgrade to 3.5?
    Regards,
    Eric

    Hi,
I’ve made an additional search for OSS notes. Found a lot, concerned mainly on incorrect hierarchy or query key date.
Found also very strange note, # 674220 “Date entry not valid for time-dependent hierarchy structure”:
    <b>Symptom
For characteristics with time-dependent hierarchy structures, the
hierarchy validity date is always the key date of the query
    Other terms
    Query, time-dependent hierarchy structures
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Programm Error
    Solution
The date radio group buttons available for Key date
has no meaning, when hierarchy structure is time-dependent. The validity
date for hierarchy will always be taken as the key date of the query.
in this case. Hence, kindly ignore any other date entered in this field.
A corrective action will be taken in the future release to stop
    entering any other date.</b>
It might be understood that hierarchy key date should always be as a query key date. Though the note was applicable to earlier releases but it could be read as that in future releases this option for hierarchy key date is going to be disabled.
I’ve searched BW for 3.5 SP notes. Found nothing about this option to be disabled. Moreover, in my system this option is enabled. So, if there is a bug, I couldn’t find anything usefull.
Documentation says that this option is to be enabled for time-dependent hierarchies only. So, if your situation is not caused by a bug, then something might be wrong with your hierarchies.  Please look directly in SE16 at your H, I, J & K hierarchies tables, try to find something unusual. Maybe DATEFROM or DATETO values are missing in H table. Maybe the hierarchy is not active or corrupt. Or something.
Should you have found nothing, the last resort is to raise OSS note to SAP.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • Empty start validity date for an org unit

    Dears!
some time ago we discovered a disturbing issue in Productive data. Some org units have an empty start date. I have no idea how it could be created by users, but now we need to solve it.
The records with empty start date are visible in PP01 only in Display mode.
The program RE_RHBEGDA0 (New start date) doesn't help. After running the new record for an object is created but there is still remaining the record with empty start date, but with shifted end date...
Do you have any idea how to solve this?
    Thanks all in advance,
    Anastasia

    Hi,
You are right - user definitely couldn't create it. Probably you need to ask you ABAPer.
I can suggest you to try to copy original record and replace empty start date with valid one: PP01, IT1000, copy, change start date, save.
    Cheers!

  • HR Report to display headcount up to 10 levels of Org Units

    Hi Experts,
Can you please give steps for the following requirement. Is there any standards available. Please explain the procedure to create report.
Points will be awarded fot the suitable solutions.
The report shouldl query SAP for the number of employees based on the personnel area and sub area.  The main reporting is based on the sub area.  If the employee is in the India Pers Area the total number of employees from each sub area will have to be deducted from the headcount for that sub area and added to the India area for headcount totaling.   For each of the areas/subareas we need to gather the total number of Active Employees, Temp Employees and Contractors.  This information can be gathered from the employee group.

If you want to read the org unit hierarchy from the org structure, tables HRP1001 and HRP1000 should
have all the information you need. HRP1001 hold the relationships between the org structure objects
and HRP1000 holds information about each object.
If you don't want to do the selects yourself, there is a very useful function module called
RH_STRUC_GET which does the same sort of thing ie reads the relationships between org structure objects
using whatever evaluation path you pass in in parameter ACT_WEGID..

  • Org Unit

Client has Hierarchy structure for 0ORGUNIT.
each division has more than 100 dept. the business process for all the dept within the dept is the same.
A planning level is created for each dept. Now there are two options for how to configure for the dept.
One option is to use 0ORGUNIT variable for dept at the planning level.there is only one generic package need to be created.each dept's user data access authorization is controlled by assigning it's own 0ORGUNIT node at variable configuration and the role assign to the user.
The second option is to configure a package for each dept through the hard code of 0ORGUNIT at the package configuration level. each dept'ser will be assign their own role in order to access their data.
Since all the BPS application are going to be moved to web by web interface builder. the first option is much less work comparing with the second one.
Anybody can see any problem if we go for the first option?
    Thanks,

Org Unit hierarchy is time dependant and hierarchy autorizations have their own quirks. You need a good secuirty person to create the roles and he/she has to understand your requirements.
Security gave me lot of heartburns in both my projects.
    Hope this helps.
