Organizer data base is damaged in acrobat 9 standard
I have tried to "repair" and reinstall my Adobe Acrobat 9 standard version to correct my organizer data base damage issue. I have deleted and replace the organizer90 file as suggested in previous discussions to no avail. I have created a txt version and removed the .txt to the folder making it blank also. Nothing has fixed this issue. I have had this product for years without many issues. This is the first time it appears to be unresolvable.
Do you have any suggestions beyond what I have discussed. As an example is there a specific order of action items to make the repairs. It is perplexing that a full uninstall and then a full reinstall has not solved the issue. I am only an occasional user so this product suits my needs and demands regarding pdf files. posted 070514 Scott
you must not be removing the correct file. double check that you're deleting from the correct directory.
also, after restarting your computer, before launching acrobat, make sure that organizer90 is not present. then launch acrobat and check that it re-creates the organizer90 file.
and, if that fails, you could try holding down shift-ctrl-alt while starting acrobat. if done correctly you'll see a confirmation dialog about resetting your preferences.

Will PSE3 Organizer data base transfer intact to LR
Believe it or not I like the data base in PSE3. As a matter of fact I keep PSE3 on my computer just for this. I generally back up my images to a DVD, while keeping the originals on an external drive. I then upload from the DVD to PSE3 which creates thumbs of the originals. The tag system in PSE3 allows me to tag the thumbs with categories, explicit names, dates, etc. which I can search for in any method I wish later. Being able to view thumbs of images greatly assist me in locating the image I want.
I know many of you are using much more sophisticated software, but I have over 8,000 thumbs of images tagged in PSE3. I would not like to have to go back and re tag all those images.
Question is will LR allow me to import the current PSE3 file structure and continue using the same system, and view the thumbs as always? If it does, I will get LR while the discount is in place.Hello all:
Same question for PSE5, will LR1 receive all data from edited and tagged, ranked files. I have to make a decision about moving my db to LR. I did participate in the betas, but noticed that the bets didn't have a way to back up a group of photos (shoot or collection), with all their tags, keywords, rankings, proxy viewing files, and all the file edits, whether NEF, PSD, TIFF, or JPG, (since files are edited non-destructively). My question is for non layered edits only.

I think the biggest shortcoming of a front end (library/organizer) is backing up, with choices as to what to grab (tags, keywords, rankings, proxy viewing files, and all the file edits) and marking the files or folder or shoot/collection as having been backed up and what date. I find myself looking at a folder in Windows and having to go through 4 notebooks of discs, to remind myself if I had backed the files up and what the date was. Even so, it is very difficult to decide which (new edited) files have been created/changed and not yet backed up. My workaround (at the folder level only) was to place a 00BackedUp.txt file, with the backup date, at the beginning of the folder, which still doesn't immediately tell you whether a version of a picture had been backed up, without doing some analysis.
Backing up the library (DB) is great, but for me, its about 18 DVD's (Professional + Personal Catalogs). I don't even know if lib backups grab all the above mentioned pieces. -
I receive an error message every time I close a file "The Organizer base is damaged and will reset the next time Acrobat is launched." But it never fixes itself. What's the fix?

Entourage error message 4362 - damaged data base - cannot back up , compact
I've been using 10.5.8 on my G5 for 2 yrs NO problems - THEN - error message 4362 starts to appear as Entourage (2004 Office) gets close to 1.5G bytes. Disk utility can run and verify YES there is a damage in data base.
BUT the rebuild option will NOT last more than 30secs before I/O error.
I have tried to open Entourage with option key down and I have thrown out any email older than 1yr.
Next move is to re-install Entourage - and import folders - unless some one has a better idea/solution. Please -- RayHi Ray,

The data base for Microsoft Office 2008 has been damaged. I've tried twice to rebuild the data base, but it stalls after 2 hours and I'm forced to cancel. Very frustrating. The Office tools is a nice tool, but it's not working. I can use Word, Excel and PP but Entourage will not open at all. I've removed office and reinstalled and downloaded all of the updates. I still get the same message. If I have to start over, so be it, but I'm not sure how to completely remove Office. I removed it using Microsoft tools. (Positive reinforcement that I will always use Macs!) Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

Momo3use time machine (if you have it on before all the errors in office) to restore the working files. if not you can use cleanmymac to remove all microsoft office program files and then reinstall office. Back up all your data before useing cleanmymac. it is a good app but it can clean too much some times if you do use clean my mac, open clean my mac click applications tab drag office apps from finder>applications not the dock and microsoft update as well. then click remove. it will remove all files that go with office (It wont remove Your document files) her is a link to a free trial of clean my mac http://macpaw.com/cleanmymac

Enhance view InrHeaderViewSet if it's not been done yet.
In view controller implementation class for this view (in my case it was ZL_ICCMP_BT_INRHEADERVIEW_IMPL) redefine GET_TAB_LINK_TABLE method in the following way:

there are certain logical databases like SD_ORDER,SD_SALES_DOCUMENT which has tables VBAK,VBAP,VEDA but i am unable to join remaining tables VBREVE and VBREVK with those logical data bases
Please provide some valuable suggestions on this.

How to trigger pop-up window in report and update data base from report
Hi All,
I have a requirement, in a report output list to trigger a pop up window with some rejection codes corresponding to each sales order when i select from the output list. Also i need to update data base by selecting one of the rejection code in the pop-up window list for that sales order. Can any one please let me know how to achive this.
Also, i have check boxes for each record in the output list. Also, i have added one more check box as "Select All'. When select 'Sleect All' check box , all check boxes need to be checked, how to achieve this. PLease let me know.

I have created a SAP Query with logical data base ADA,I have selected four tables in it.Do i need to link these tables if yes..where and how?The report is for fields in asset master data.
.But i get below error when i try to genaret the output :

i get such similar five messages but they are warning..when i execute with warning however i get the fields with description but not with Value.Ex:i get asset description and not Asset number as required.You don't have to link them, they ar linked that is the power of a logical data base
To get the text in your report you need the key fields

Why does Acrobat Standard 6.0 recognize scanner but Pro 9 will not?
I am running both programs on an Intel Mac (same machine), 10.5.8 Progam. My Acrobat Standard 6.0 pulls in the scanner immediately, but my Pro 9 will not recognize the scanner. Is there something I have to do to get the Pro 9 to recognize the same scanner?

Logical Data Base to be used in the QUICKVIEWER
hello Abappers,
My client cannot select text fields using SQVI so he wants me to come up with a way for him to do so. I was thinking of creating a logical data base which can be selected in SQVI. I could build the FM READ_TEXT into the QV but what I need clarification on is outputting the text fields because the logical data base is really a set of table joins and since I am using the QV I do not have the flexibility that I would have if I was using a logical data base in a program.
Please advise if anybody has any ideas on this approach and how I would structure the output.

Since you say you are a beginner, lets start this way, hopefully U know from what datasources in ECC or R/3 you are supposed to load data from. Once you are sure about it, then follow this steps.
1) Go to RSA5 transaction in ECC or R/3 System ( source system ).
2) Select the specific datasource from which data is to be extracted to BI and press Activate Datasources button on the top right.
3) Then on check whether this datasource is available in RSA6 screen.
4) Come to BI system, there go to the Source Systems screen, there select the specific Source System (ECC or R/3).
Go to U'r specific Infoarea i.e., SCM in that select the datasource for which U are supposed to extract data, right click and select Replicate Metadata.
5) Once replication is done now right click again on datasource and create and run the infopackage , if its BI 7.0 data will be extracted till PSA.
6) After this create Transformation by right clicking on the Datasource again. Since I guess U will be using standard datasource U will get automatic transformations between the source fields and the infoobjects. Activate Transformations.
7) After this Create a DTP process by again right clicking on the Datasource. Here U specify the Data Target to which data is to be loaded.
8) Activate the DTP, once that's done successfully, Execute the DTP by clicking the Execute Button in the DTP.
9) Monitor U'r data loading thru Monitor screen.
