OrgChart Connection Difficulties

I have followed the installation guide for Naksia OrgChart (ver 1.1) and have created the connection string.
However when I go to general settings to select the root organization the selector is grayed out  (I can still type into the text field) and when I mouse over I am told to check my connection settings.
I have tried publishing and saving the build and going back to select the root org after this but it is still grayed out and I get the same message.
When I go to the user console I get a message saying the root could not be found and I should check that I have selected the correct root.
Can anyone help me out with this? I have examined and reexamined the installation and administrator manuals and can't find anything that could help me.
I am using anonymous log on for the moment so my connection string looks like this:
ASHOST=XXXXXX SYSNR=00 USER=XXXXXXX PASSWD=XXXXXXX CLIENT=100
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
James

Hi Luke,
I tried moving the .dll to system32 and am still getting the following error:
ERROR: Bapi_Hroci.getDataSetBase() : Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.  {Inner Exception:[SAPConnector.Open]: Unable to load DLL 'librfc32.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)'
I have the connection string set up to point to the SAP environment with the connection string:
ASHOST=NARH10 SYSNR=00 USER=nakisa PASSWD=XXXXX CLIENT=200
Do we need to do some config in SAP?
We are also trying to get OrgModeler and SuccessionPlanning to connect with similar issues.
Anything you could suggest would be great. I am almost at my wit's end.. it must be something simple but I just can't see it.
Thanks,
James

  • Connection difficulties with 5300 AGN and AccessConnection

    Hello,
I'm having some network difficulties on the new X301.
The laptop has Intel 5300 AGN and AccessConnection v5.
    1. When I come back to office, it doesn't connect to the AP (DIR-635) automatically, even it has been connected, and saved for profile.
    2. After I connect it manually, and after a certain period, the connection seems to be stopped, all network connections got frozen, and a new icon in the notification are shows the 5300 had been disconnected. The driver is 12.12.0.0.75.
    Do you have any idea?

    Hi
Yeah, the detailed information about the notebook could be very useful.
But the driver update is a good idea for the first.
You can also check the settings in the properties of this card in the device manger.
There should be some interesting options which could be changed.

  • Business Process Repository Server connection difficulties

    All,
We have Business Process Repository installed and can connect to it on the same machine but are unable to connect from any remote machine.
It would appear therefore that this is some sort of configuration issue, and I see many discussions of this same problem online but no clear or direct resolution given.
Is there a clear source of information anywhere about how to get remote access going? Do others have similar experiences?
    All help most appreciated. Thanks.
    Andrew Bernard

    Hi Andrew,
Looks like your repository server and the client machines that are unable to connect to repository are in different sections on yr LAN. have you checked at the firewall for required ports to be opened for comminucation between Client and repository server?
You can get the list of ports in the admin documents or can directly ask Oracle support for it.

  • MacBook Pro OSX 10.8.4 Internet connection difficulties

Hi, hoping someone can help here. I'm currently using my home network on my iPad, my wife using her older MacBook with our iMac on and both iPhones are surfing the Internet fine. HOWEVER my new MacBook Pro (version 10.8.4) recognises our home network but doesn't always want to 'activate' if that makes sense.
I have seen other users with this issue and have tried getting rid of keychain data and all networks and starting again (with putting a .old for a system preference folder as recommended by one user) however still no joy. Any opinions welcome!

  • IMac having connection difficulties upon Wake (Mountain Lion)

    iMac 27inch, mid-2010, 2 years old.
No wifi problems before, just performed a clean install of Mountain Lion. Now, whenever I wake my iMac from sleep, the internet connection refuses to work. Airport will say it's connected to my home wifi fine, but nothing will load at all. All other devices are fine.
Turning Airport on and off does nothing. However, opening Network preferences, the clicking the "Assist me..." button, shows that apparently the Mac is having trouble connecting to the ISP. Following the steps in the "Assist me..." section magically makes it connect and sorts everything out until it goes to sleep again.
    Any help?

I have mid-2011 21.5" iMac and upgraded Mac OS from version 10.7.4 to version 10.8 on the day Mountain Lion was launched in Mac App Store. Wireless network at home is set up with latest model of Apple Airport Extreme basestation and router provided by ISP. Worked perfectly before the Mac OS upgrade with 802.11n protocol and 2.4/5 GHz radio bands for Time Machine backup to NAS and fibre broadband Internet connection on iPhone 4S/ iPad 3/ iMac platforms.
Since I have only one configuration for preferred network, so order in the list does not matter. What really solve the problem is to disable the option "Ask to join new networks" in System Preferences > Network > WiFi window. I have performed following test successfully and will continue monitoring the condition in next few days.
    1. Put iMac to sleep with no application running.
    2. Wake up iMac half an hour later to check whether it connect successfully to Internet by itself.
Seems that wireless network connection always experience some problem whenever there is Mac OS upgrade, the same sympton also happened after upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion a year ago. Apple should release Mac OS upgrade vesion 10.8.1 as soon as possible.
Thank you very much for your simple remedy.

  • Re-set DLINK - connection difficulties

We had to re-set our DLINK router that I use wireless on my Mac and my partner uses connected to his PC. I cannot now connect to our network unless I type in the whole of the new WEP encryption key each time. It is as if the previous code number is stuck there.
I would like advice on the best way to re-set my access so that I just click and log on - as I am not sure I am doing the right thing. If I remember correctly I had to use 'other' rather than the 'DLINK' network option then fill in the numbers.
Apologies if this seems dim, but it's never happened before and I am baffled.

    Try Navigating to:
System Preferences>Network>Airport>Airport>By Defualt Join: Preferred Networks: (Remove all of the networks listed). The Change the By Default Join: Automatic.
Turn off your airport, turn it back on, and when it connectes, it should ask you for your password, make sure you check "Save password it keychain".
    That should helpl.

  • IChat connection difficulties, can't connect with IM, audio or video.

OK guys - i started off on iChat having problems logging in with my .mac address, and i found an answer on here that suggested typing it in as an AIM login and that worked ok.
THEN, i could send IM type chats, but it wouldn't connect to video or audio claiming that there was an error, or it never got an answer from the other party.
I ended up removing iChat from the computer and reinstalling it from the Discs that came with the computer (OK, probably a PC habit.. i'm sorry!), and created the account again, only now it won't even connect to an IM chat with someone from my buddy list, as well as the audio/video connection problems too.
The person i'm trying to contact has it up and running fine as they tested with other people. What on earth have i done wrong?

  • Connection difficulties with Lumia 800 and CK 100

I have a Nokia Lumia 800 and an installed CK-100 car kit, the kit has been professionally installed and works as it should do ie it is switched on with the car ignition and can be paired with both my Lumia and my partners Samsung via bluetooth.
The problem I am having is the car kit keeps connecting with the phone resulting in two beeps through the speakers as it confirms it has connected both the phone and player function.  This repeats every 1 minute and is very frustrating.  It does this almost non stop although some times after about 10 -15 connects it suddenly disconnects.
    I have found a way to stop this happening, but it is not ideal and certainly not how a hands free kit should be, as follows;
Set the Lock function to its max setting (5 minutes) and tile to the Bluetooth screen, then by constantly touching the screen every 5 mins to keep the Bluetooth settings screen open it works.
I have sent two emails to the Nokia help centre (both times it is clear that they do not understand the questions) and have phoned the help desk twice, on one of the occasions the help desk person told me to reset the phone (which clears all your setting, Apps etc) and it worked fine for 4 days then started as above.
Anybody got any ideas? to me it looks like the bluetooth setting is doing something when it is in sleep mode.
    Regards
    martyn

Check whether you may have use your Lumia 800 on another PC initially so it has it's primary sync relationship with that PC.
When you connect your Lumia with your PC and Zune starts select 'phone' and verify the sync relationship which is shown below the phone image. If this says 'guest' you will have to click 'Change Sync Relationship' to move it to the PC you are using.
On any other PC you can remove the phone from the list of know devices through Settings>phone>sync options and click 'forget this phone for each phone you wish to remove. If multiple phone are known to this install of Zune you will see left and right arrows besides the phone image with which you can select the phone to change settings for.
Press the 'Accept As Solution' icon if I have solved your problem, click on the Star Icon below if my advice has helped you!

  • As a Verizon FIOS client, can we just use Ethernet cable to connect to time capsule, or do we need their router to connect to the time capsule?

As a Verizon FIOS client, can we just use Ethernet cable to connect to time capsule or do we need the Verizon router to connect to time capsule?

The Time Capsule is indeed a wireless router with simultaneous dual band capability...and a hard drive for backup purposes. You can use that to your advantage if you configure the Time Capsule as I suggested in Bridge Mode.
The Time Capsule will provide a 802.11n 5 GHz band and a 802.11n/g/b compatible 2.4 GHz band to allow virtually any device to connect to the network.
I suppose that you could also use the "g" wireless network provided by the Verizon router as a "guest" network or something similar if you really do need another wireless network.
It might be possible to configure the Time Capsule as the main router on the network....that's a question for Verizon. But even if you might be able to do this, I'm sure it is not supported by Verizon, so you would be on your own in the event of any Internet connection difficulties on your service.
And, since the Time Capsule does not have a built in modem....you would still need to add a separate modem to the installation anyway.
That's why my suggestion is to use the Verizon device as the "modem" and let the Time Capsule provide the dual band wireless network and of course, handle the Time Machine backups.

  • C309a no longer connects wirelessly

I'v searched and read many threads on this site and noticed many more beyond the c309a with similar connectivity difficulties connecting wirelessly.   Ours worked for many months and suddenly would not.   We ran through may resets, resets of power, etc.  Followed many pieces of advice on this site.
II've had many HPs over my lifetime, both at home and at work.   I'm done after reading these.   No HP PCs, cameras or formerly gold standard printers  --   AIOs, Lasers and Inkjets.  We fit a desirable demographic.
We have kids at home who depend on the printer for their projects.  I do not have USBs on hand right now to do a hard-wire work-around.  The office setup was configured for wireless.   Stupid me.
Too bad.  The new HP PCs looked interesting and well-rated by CNET.
I'll shop for Epson  or Canon tomorrow and blame it on HP hiring Carly F. and then Mark H. and likely huge packages to send them packing and correct HP's board's mistakes.   Should have spent the money on good employee incentives, QA, product support  and customer service and satisfaction.   I feel badly, however, for the HP employees who work hard.  Despite their work, its the failed execs who get rewarded by clubby boards.   Does HP pay US corporate tax in the US?   I'll check that  intead of trying to connect anymore. .

Does the printer pass the network test page?
    I was an HP employee.

  • Any recommended modem to connect to airport extreme?

I'm looking for a "simple" modem hook up to my new airport extreme. I don't want to have to try and put my excisting westell 327w dsl router/modem into bridge mode. I'm not to sure if its possible or if I'll be able to do it successfully. Is there any modems that that are a easy setup with the airport extreme. Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to the discussions, CooteyBug!
The only real reason to configure the modem as a simple "bridge" with the AirPort Extreme is if you need to be able to activate the Guest Network feature. Otherwise, the AirPort Extreme will work just fine in bridge mode to provide a dual band wireless network. If you don't need the wireless provided by the Westell gateway, you can turn it off, or perhaps use that as a Guest Network if you need that feature.
If you decide that you need a simple modem, It's always a good idea to start with your service provider to see if they offer a "bridge only" device. Often, they will provide a modem at no charge in return for a commitment of a year or more of continued service. This way, you can be assured that the provider will support the product in case you have internet connection difficulties.
If your provider does not offer a simple DSL modem, the Motorola AT&T 2210 should work with virtually any DSL service line. It will take a few minutes to configure the modem properly as a "bridge", but this is not difficult with the web based setup page(s) for the device.
In turn, the AirPort Extreme will need to be configured to "Connect Using PPPoE" with the modem in bridge mode. This is easily accomplished with AirPort Utility, the setup application for the AirPort Extreme.

  • Using Cisco Connect with 2 different Routers

I have the linkys n300 E1200 at my office and the Linksys E1000 at my home.  How do i configure Cisco Connect to work with both of these routers so i don't have any connectivity issues?

You can only have one Cisco Connect software installed on your computer. What are your challenges with the Linksys routers? Are you experiencing slow connection? Or intermittent connection? Does it occur on both routers? Since the two routers are on two different locations, we need to properly isolate this matter to know what is really causing it.
Updating the router's firmware will help in resolving connectivity difficulties. If the wireless connection drops, you can also try adjusting the wireless channels of the router. I am using channel 9 for my EA4500 router. Make sure as well that the router is being placed on a higher location or less interference area.

  • Slow Internet Connections

Just now, it took me almost a minute to connect with this website. I don't know how this compares with the experience of others, but I consider that to be unsatisfactory. It's too slow, and I have done much better in the past. i called my ISP (Earthlink) to ask for a line check. They referred me to <speedtest.net>. I took the test, and my download speed was 6,992 Kb/s. Earthlink told me that this was just fine for my DSL connection, but I don't know. I do know that the results for previous tests with "speedtest.net" were 3,447, 3,086, 3443, and 4,818 Kb/s and that I didn't have the slow connection difficulties then. This makes me think that the problem might be with my computer, not my ISP.
    (1) Should 6,992 Kb/s produce satisfactory results? (By "satisfactory" I'm here just talking about the time between clicking on a link and the opening of the intended website.)
    (2) Are there any recommended software programs, or even check-off lists, that help determine the cause of a computer's sluggishness or, alternatively, to speed the thing up?
    (3) This is not that important but it just occurred to me that a software program that kept a record of downloading times (website opening times) for a particular computer would be very useful analytical tool. Is there such a thing?

Is it possible you have slow DNS lookup? Since most network operations start by first translating the domain.name.com into 12.34.56.78 IP addresses, if the DNS lookup is slow, it makes the entire connection operation appear to be slow.
As an experiment, try setting the OpenDNS.org severs as your DNS servers.
    System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> DNS -> [+]
    208.67.222.222
    [+]
    208.67.220.220
See if this improves your connection performance? If it does, then your problem is with the DNS servers you were using before this experiment.
I decided to try and follow your instructions, even though though they are above my level of computer knowledge and experience. I got to the Network screen with DNS highlighted. On the left, under "DNS Server," is a dim 192.168.1.1. Under it is an activated 207.69.188.185. To the right under "Search Domains" is an empty box.
    What is the next step?
