Orion.Project.Handler Documentation

Hello,
I am trying to write a plugin that will create a new type of project in the orion workspace. This project will be preloaded with files that it is dependent on. I am trying to use the "orion.project.handler" service for this purpose, but I am having trouble implementing this part of the documentation "The function should initialize project in the workspace (including adding project.json to it) and return the project description containing at least ContentLocation"
https://wiki.eclipse.org/Orion/Documentation/Developer_Guide/Project_services#orion.project.handler
How do I initialize a project??
How do I add a project.json file??
I have tried using the File and Workspace APIs but I get cross domain errors when trying to send GET and POST requests to https://orionhub.org/workspace
From a REST client I was able to make those request and create the projects and files but I need to be able to do it within the plugin.
If any one can please help me with this it would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Here the links to some documentation but I'm not sure if this solves your particular problem.

http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/viewlets/11/

Can you provide more details about your implementation of actions (new, delete, ...) ?
Note from web development guide:
Note: The View menu items do not require that you write application
code to make them functional. However, you must provide
application code for any items that you want to use on the other
menus.regards

  • Event handler documentation

Is there any better documentation/samples on what event handlers do. I can't see anything that says what variables are passed to an event handler following an event. For example, if a doc close event occurs does the handler get passed username, password, document ID, IP address etc? Or does it just get passed an event ID that you then go and lookup in the APS database.
This aspect of the SDK seems very poorly documented.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

OK, found some info in the developer guide.

  • Project Technical Documentation Creation - FoReDoclet

    Hello All,
I'm using the FoReDoclet (version 1.1) application for creating technical documentation for my project developed in Oracle Forms 10g. When I run the batch file after making the necessary changes and as per the instructions I get a following error
    - parsing: .\SLOT_PLANNER.fmb
    ERROR nostran.foredoclet.util.TemplateHelper
    - ERROR: Unknown property (ShowPalette)
I've checked and rechecked the particular fmb using the forms builder...but it working fine.... only when I run the batch file for creating technical documentation. Can anyone please tell me whats causing the problem and how to overcome it.
    thanks & regards,
    Arun

I'm not sure there is "best practices" but some of the things that can help people understand are:
An ADF BC diagram - this will describe all your ADF BC objects - just drag your components into a new empty diagram
A JSF page flow - to show how pages are called.
Java class diagram - for Java code that is not in the above two
One more thing to consider - since ADF BC, JSF page flow and JSPX pages are all XML based - you could write XSL files that will actually transform them into any type of documentation you want.

  • LabVIEW Project SDLC Documentation

    Hi,
My Organization is using LabVIEW newly. We don't have any templates available for LabVIEW SDLC documentation . What does the High Level Design (HLD) document / Low Level Design (LLD) / Software Interface document of LabVIEW consist of?
Can any one provide me the relevent links/ material ?
    Thanks in Advance !!!

    Hi ITA,
I do not know much about SDLC but it looks to just be a fairly high-level model for software development.  I cannot seem to find any documentation for this model with regard to LabVIEW, but maybe this information will address some of the issue and be useful to you.

  • Not able to see General Documentation in Implementation Project

    Hi All,
I've created one Template Project and one Implementation Project. Now I've added some documents to Template Project - General Documentation Tab. Ideally this newly added documents should be appeared in Implementation Project - General Tab. But in my case I am not able to see this newly added documents. Is there any reason behind this? What should I do to make them visible in Implementation Proj - General Documentation tab?
Another question is, If a document from Project Documentation tab is deleted by pressing 'Delete Row' button (not actual 'Delete' button), how can I retrieve that document? How can I see the list of all deleted documents?
    Thanks in advance!
    Shaun

    Hi Shaun,
For the implementation project, please read the session  "USING THE TEMPLATES" in the wiki page for template projects, where it explains how to update your project with the changes made in the template project.
regarding the download, I'm not aware of any easy way to do mass download of the documents. Maybe in SI80 you could do such thing but I believe you would only be able to filter by the folder where the documents are phisically stored and as you're using a template project, all the documents are stored in the folder SOLAR00, shared along with solutions and etc..
more info about this in the wiki page for documents in solar01 and solar02:

  • Query Regarding Documentation in Solution Manager

Solution Manager Library says that when we do any configuration or testing ,automatically the document(Configuration Document or Test Script) gets generated. Can we have an Overview of how Solution Manager handles Documentation. If Automatic Documentation is Possible what are the settings to be done and where to view the Documents?

    Hi,
You con do it in 3 different levels for example:
    1. At Business Scenario, go to the TAB General Documentation and put all your document related to this Scenario
    2. At Process, same as Business Scenario
    3. At Process Step, same as Business Scenario.
Note: all the documentation for the project you are in this moment must be in the TAB Proj. Documentation so to reference the documentation you allready have on Gen documentation Go to Copy/Lynk and the chose "Lynk to project doc. Tab".

    Manuel.

  • DBAShell - New Open Source Project for Oracle DBA's

I'd like to have this project included in the Open Source Oracle tools list at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/community/opensource_projects.html
I’'ve been an Oracle DBA for quite some time (since 7.0.13) and a developer for many years. One of the things I'’ve always wished for was an easier way to set up environment variables for different Oracle Home’s and a way to provide passwords to scripts without embedding them in plain-view.
About 3 years ago, I started a set of functions and scripts at my company that did exactly just that and provided many more functions for things like checking database status, running scripts quietly unless errors are detected, running actions in parallel (like fast shutdowns at once, or multiple analyzes), restarting databases in a guaranteed fashion, aliases to common folder locations, etc..
About a month ago, after putting all this time and effort into these scripts and using them in production all this time, I realized I wanted more out of the scripts like support for other databases and thought that it would be best if I gave it new life as an Open Source project.
So that is how http://sourceforge.net/projects/dbashell/ was started. Now it’s in a second release (DBAShell 0.85) that is more modular and would allow other people to easily add support for other OS’s, other Shells, and other Databases.
Here is a description of the project from the latest news item:
DBAShell is a project based around Shell functions and scripts designed to make it easy for DBA's to use Databases in a command line environment. Currently supported is Oracle with ksh and bash on AIX, Solaris, Linux. The code base itself is 3 years old and has been in use in Production environments all of that time.
    Features include:
    * Automatic setting of all environment variables based on SID requested.
    * Manage PATH's and other path like variables for each ORACLE_HOME needed.
    * Run scripts with stored passwords (no more hard-coding of passwords!!)
    * Automatically set SID based on Script location (makes it easier to share scripts between SID's)
    * manage temporary script output and check for oracle errors in output
    * check database status and versions from scripts
    * stop/start databases in parallel (faster startup)
    * compile all database objects
    * analyze objects in parallel (Faster analyzes)
    * set aliases and variables for common SID areas, etc..
    * many helpful commands for common Oracle tasks
Over a thousand people have already downloaded the prior release and more are downloading every hour.
I'm seeking feedback from anybody that would be willing to take a look at the project, trying it out, give me any feedback you have on it, and perhaps even direct me to where I could best promote this project.
I wrote a tutorial that shows at a glance some of the more useful features of DBAShell:
    http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=34041&group_id=170224
    Main site:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/dbashell/
    Documentation: http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=33704&group_id=170224
    Download:
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dbashell/dbashell-0.85.tar.gz?download

Always glad to have people thinking about the poor DBA's. Usually, the developers get most of the attention in open source.

I'm seeking feedback from anybody that would be willing to take a look at the project, trying it out, give me any feedback you have on it, and perhaps even direct me to where I could best promote this project.
I wrote a tutorial that shows at a glance some of the more useful features of DBAShell:

    Main site:

Always glad to have people thinking about the poor DBA's. Usually, the developers get most of the attention in open source.

  • Add word document in project systems with BAPI

    Hi,
I want to create a project with documentation automatically.
I have created a project with following structure with   BAPI_PROJECTDEF_MAINTAIN.
    PROJECT
         DOCUMENTATION
Now I want to add a word document in DOCUMENTATION.
I know how to add a document via transaction CJ20N, but that is not what I want.
I want to add a document via BAPI.
Do you know how I can achieve this with a BAPI ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Chu

    Hi Avinash,
    Thanks for your quick response.
I try to fill in those input parameters.
I have already stored my document at the server and look at table DRAD for colom DKOB and OBJKY.
When I fill in those values in FM CNPB_M_CREATE_DOCUMENT start to running.
But where did my document goes ? I can not find it back, and it is not added in my DOCUMENTATION.
Do you have any idea where my document is now ?
