OS4 not as promised ... ;(

hey guys! ive got the iPhone 3G 16GB...tried updating it, it went well no errors whatsoever, but the issues were i couldnt get to change my home screen background ;( dont know what went wrong during the updates... and Couldnt even get to do the "multitasking" as what they advertised during the updates... huhuhu
Help me guys! don't know how to fix it...

I have the same problem. My 10 days pass and I been promise by phone I will get 38Mb. They test my line and sad you will get 38Mb. I came from Plusnet and I had with them 38-40Mb no problem with the line or something, but now I get only 20-23Mb max. Even with cable I get only 23Mb. Is there any chance to speak with sky expert to sort that out? I try to give a call but only what I hear is restart your broadband, change wirreles chanel or if you get that speed it is the best connection we can give you. I am sorry but why you give waranty you will give 38Mb to people and give only 23MB???

  • Add Credit Notes to Promise to Pay

    Hi,
Can somebody tell me how to enhance the badi FDM_P2P_JUDGE to include payments (unallocated) and credit notes?
At the moment we are not able to add credit notes to a P2P. We are on EHP4 for FSCM
    Thank you
    Richard Gentenaar

    Hi,
The problem is that it's not P2P is not intended to include random credits. I checked with SAP via OSS credit notes can only be added to the P2P WHEN they are linked in the receivables process. Then this is automatic. Otherwise not so that doesn't help our business case.
This is the exact answer from SAP:
    Dear Richard,
it is not intended to include credit notes into promises to pay.
If an invoice (1000) and a credit memo (500) are marked in process
receivables, one promise to pay is created (500) for the invoice.
If a promise to pay already exists for an invoice and a credit memo
should be considered, the credit memo has to be cleared with the
    incoice.
Please let me know if you have further questions. If the problem is
solved, I kindly ask you to close the message by confirming.
    Best regards,
    Development IMS Financials, SAP AG
I took the name out for privicy reasons
    So that is clear.
    Regards,
    Richard

  • Iphone 6 trade-up NOT as promised!

I've seen other threads so I know I am not alone.  I put a perfectly functional iPhone4 appraised at $200 into the flimsy, required envelope provided me and said a little prayer.  Fast forward to today when I get the "great news" that my $36 is available to me.  Say what??  Verizon Customer Service is unable to help, and the phone number they transfer you to is "experiencing high volume" and hangs up on you!!!!  I've been a Verizon customer since before they were Verizon, and have never experienced anything like this - it seems like blatant dishonesty!  I'm assuming they will say - assuming I can EVER actually reach someone - that my phone was cracked.  Shocker.  Did anyone test those ridiculous envelopes??  I feel utterly deceived and sick to my stomach, not to mention $164 dollars poorer.  I expected more.  And the worst part is there is apparently no way to speak to someone who can actually help me get what I was promised, or make this right somehow.  Seriously considering defecting to Sprint.  Never, ever thought I'd say that.  Has anyone had any luck getting to a person with the ability to help?

Okay, JenniferH_VZW.....I can relate to the frustration experienced by StephanieS.  When Verizon was running their promotion for "getting up to $299 rebate back on your old iPhone, when you order a new iPhone 6 or 6+", the system you had in place to easily direct customers on how to actually fulfill this promotion weren't terribly clear. I went online to
Verizon's website, read about the promotion, and then completed the submission form to see what I would most likely receive for my old iPhone 4. It is in good condition, so the website confirmed that I would receive $199 (which is the most that they would give me for an iPhone 4 16 gb), depending of course on what the actual phone looked like when they received it.  I completed this form online, and tried to print out the final page, but unfortunately, it didn't print. It was a little glitchy as I was trying to complete the form, as well, as I would completely fill in all the information, and then it would just sit and think, and never go any further.  When I finally got it to go though, I guess I assumed that Verizon would have a record of this when it came time to return my old phone.  No such luck.  I received an email from Verizon  confirming the order of my new iPhone, which I actually ordered by phone from Verizon, because I wanted to confirm with a living person that I was expecting to participate in the rebate program where I would receive credit for my old phone. The representatives all acted like it would be fine, and that I would be receiving packing materials to return my old phone in, once I had received my new phone, which was on backorder and wouldn't ship until 10/24/14. Original order date was 9/26/14.  I got an confirmation email for my phone order, but no mention of a submission ID #,
except a blurb reminding me to fill out the online submission form in order to receive the promotional credit. I had already done this, so it didn't occur to me to do it again. Got my new IPhone 6+, as promised, just a few days after the
10/24/14 ship date, but there were no materials included to return the old phone for the promotional rebate. I remembered someone saying that I would be receiving some return packaging in the mail, but haven't received that yet either. So I started calling Verizon, and have now talked to 3 or 4 different reps, only one of whom seemed to really understand how to help me out.  Verizon has done a terrible job of training their reps on how to help people in this situation. One rep sent me to the "Returns" department, where I was greeted and then transferred and then disconnected, one rep seemed completely befuddled by the whole situation, and kept waiting for a supervisor to get to his station so she could talk to me. In a desperate attempt to help me, he at one point had me putting my old iPhone 4 in the HopeLine plastic recycle bag that came with my new phone, while printing out some return label from somewhere else to put over the printed return address on the bag.....I told him that there was copy on the bag telling me not to use the bag for mail-in rebates.....I called 611 again to see if I could get a different rep who would know more. I finally was directed to go to trade-in.vzw.com, where I found a number to call and talk to them directly. The first person I spoke with gave me the number for Verizon customer service....Lordy!  I called the trade-in number again, and got someone to send me some packaging to return my phone in, and she said that someone fromVerizon would be calling or emailing me...we'll see. This has taken WAY too much of my time. Extremely inefficent for myself and for all the poor Verizon reps who haven't been educated on how to advise people like me, in this situation.

  • Q45MDO does not initialise Promise RAID controller boot ROM

    Hi all,
I have an MSI Q45MDO with a Promise EX8350 SATA RAID controller plugged into the PCI-E x16 slot, as I am using the board's onboard graphics for display purposes. However, when the system is booted, the Promise BIOS (which would allow me to configure the attached hard drives) is not displayed.
Does anyone know why this is and how I can get the Promise BIOS to be shown on bootup again?

Your Promise Card is explicitly listed in the Support list for your mainboard:
    http://eu.msi.com/uploads/test_report/TR2_1750.pdf
You might wanna contact MSI Technical Support about this.  Maybe they can point you into the right direction:

Also, get in touch with promise to find out if there is a new BIOS available for your Controller Card.

  • Final Cut Pro 10.1 does not detect Promise Pegasus

    HI,
I would like to change my location of where events are stored at for FCPX to my Promise Pegasus (6x3TB, configured to RAID 5), which is what i bought it for, but sadly, my FCPX does NOT detect my Pegasus at all in Library. It does however detect other storage devices like when my SD card is plugged in etc, and my macintosh hd.
I spent alot of time reading up and googling and some advices say it must be configured to MAC OS Extended (journaled) which, when i checked, it is! So I don't know what's the problem now.
It is getting very frustrating and I can't seem to get it to work. Would really appreciate if any kind souls can help me out on this!

Did you solved that isue? I have the same problem.
    Thanks

  • OS4 not letting me change wallpaper

Hey guys I had the same problem as most It took too long to back up so I did a restore and update and that worked but when I go to settings and then wallpaper all I see are my photo albums. When I select a pic the only time I can see it is when I am putting in my password to unlock the phone. HELP PLEASE.....

That's not supported for the 3G iPhone.
"Not all features are compatible with all devices. For example, multitasking, _custom wallpaper_, and Bluetooth keyboard support are available only with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the third-generation iPod touch (32GB and 64GB models from late 2009)."

  • Itouch 8g 2nd gen. OS4 not connecting to WIFI-NO WIFI

My Itouch suddenly stopped connecting to the internet. My apps wouldn't work at all. Where the Wifi bars used to display there is now only IPOD displayed. After upgrading my Itouch to OS4 it still only says "ipod" and won't recognize or allow me to connect to any networks I used to be connected to.

Try powering off and then backon the router.
Does the router work for other wifi device?

  • My next step tomorrow will be OFCOM is this is not...

I would like to start out with, would you pay for somthing that you are not getting/promised when you sign up for BT?
As of the point of composing this post i am sat in a local McDoanlds having to use the FREE WIFI Service to run my business as BT have cut me off and they are not open Sunday!!!!!!!
I would like to first of point out that if this is not resolved by tomorrow that i will be talking this matter to OFCOM regarding  the "service" that BT Provide me and the lack of customer support, failed promises and neglet to me as a customer.
When i joined BT (worst mistake switching from Plusnet) for the infinity service in August I signed up online and was told that i will have a £50 Sainsburys vouchers sent to me but it could take upto 90* days for me to recive them. I have called up 34 times to BT and the indian call centre, spoken to 4 managers, the BT Vouchers offline team. (NOTE NOT HAD ONE CALL TO ME) In January i had finally told BT that i had enough of chasing them for these vouchers and DEMANDED that they either send them to me by tomororw or I would stop paying my BT bill...
2 weeks ago BT stopped my intetrnet and phone service which i rely on to run my business, I had to call them and spend 1 hour on hold, repeat my long story for the 32nd time to an Indian call centre where i spoke to a manger who somewhat understood what i was saying
"Would you pay for a service that was promised to you when you sign up to a broadband provider"
    No - He said
"So why should i pay for a service where i was promised £50 of vouchers and its been over 90 days,  I have called up 34 times to BT and the indian call centre, spoken to 4 managers, the BT Vouchers offline team and still not had my vouchers.
He explained that he would personally deal with me and get the "BT OFFLINE VOUCEHRS TEAM" to contact me within 3 working days, he also explained that he could only reactivate my service if i pay, now as i run a business from home i had to bite a bullet and sink my hard earned £££ into BT's pocket.
3 days have passed and again NOTHING from this BT vouchers team, so i had to spend time on hold (I SHOULD BE WORKING) and again repeat my story ask them to check the notes and so on and so on... they then transfered me to the "BT OFFLINE VOUCHERS TEAM" where i was greeted with some snotty woman who insidted that i had these vouchers, i explained that i had not and asked them why they would not send high value vouchers as Royal Maill Signed for? she ignored me and told me that they would have to look into this and if the vouchers had been claimed for that there was nothing they could do!
So she took some information from me and told me that they would have to make some inveastergations, i have no pro  blem with BT looking into the matter, but while they did i asked a simple plain question and wanted her word (Holly) that BT would not disconect me.
"I will put a note here to explain that while we are investergating your accound that your service would not be terminated due to you not paying your bill" and for anyone reading this - I wont pay as i have not had the vouchers.
It is now the 24th of Febuary and i have been cut off, i cant ring BT as they are not open on a Sunday and the number that BT tell me to call is an automated payment line LOL no chance BT.
If my service is not reconeted my BT Bill to this date wiped and a BT customer service have not made contact with me by 5:30pm 25th Febuary I will be cutting the line from BT and will be having OFCOM look into the matter on my behlaf and will be composing a story to the Daily Mail watchdog desk of the Shocking service BT provice. Id like to see if BT do have a shread of customer service left into them. Also these following questions i deman ansewrs to.
Why have i had to resort to the forums to get a answer?
Why have i had to make 34 calls to BT
Why have i not recived my vouchers
Why do BT NOT send hight value vouchers as a Royal Mail signed for?
Why have i had my service cut when i was promised it would not be whille BT look into this matter for me
Why have I had to spend so many hours on hold or waiting to speak to someone and repeat my story again and again to.
I look forward to a reply.
    Regards

Been in the same boat, I had to do all the leg work myself and people constantly making excuses up for slow speeds. Turns out I was correct, now talking with the Chairman and CEO Office department to take further action upon my miserable service from BT.
Though Ofcom won't look at your case on a individual scale more of these reports will be appearing in Ofcoms hands and then will decide to step in to assert action whether this is rules and regulations, fines or even both.
Hope you get this fixed, I will also be moving ship once my contract has finished.

  • Seagate Hard Drives not detected by the Windows 7 installer

I've spent hours on this trying every conceivable reason, so I apologize in advance for the length on this post.
I connected a Seagate 320GB 7200.10 hard drive to a P35 chipset system and attempted to install Windows 7 RTM onto it. The installer got to the part of detecting hard drives, but could not detect this drive. Native SATA mode was enabled, and AHCI was enabled.
I disabled Native SATA mode, then after that failed I also tried disabling AHCI by setting the controller to IDE mode. Still, the Windows 7 installer refused to detect the drive.
I replaced both the SATA & power cables, verified the drives are detected by the AHCI firmware and the BIOS, and I even tried different motherboard SATA ports to no effect. I took a second , identical Seagate 320GB SATA hard drive, this time pre-formatted it inside Windows 7 RC using NTFS defaults, and again (with and without AHCI and Native SATA mode) Windows 7 will not see this hard drive either!
I even downloaded the AHCI preinstall drivers and loaded these using a flash drive. When I did Windows 7 would autodetect the ICH9 driver and I would click Next. Windows 7 would suddenly see the drive, but all options to format or create a partition are grayed out. Clicking the more info button gives me this error message:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."
I used the AHCI preinstall drivers specific for the motherboard (Vista 64)  and I also tried the AHCI preinstall drivers from Intel for Windows 7 RC 64. As of this writing Intel has not released official Windows 7 RTM Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers.
In frustration I installed a SSD (with AHCI and Native SATA mode enabled) and suddenly Windows 7 detects the SSD without needing to load any driver (as would be expected, since Vista and 7 include Intel Storage Manager drivers by default already). I installed Windows 7 RTM 64bit onto the SSD without issue.
15 minutes later I was at the Windows 7 desktop, and Windows 7 was showing the Seagate 320GB hard drive under "My Computer" as normal. I could even use the Seagate hard drive as normal as if nothing was wrong. For kicks I launched the Windows 7 installer inside Windows 7, but as you can see below it still refused to see the drive, despite the drive being shown under My Computer:
    (Since I can't use thumbnails, here's the direct link: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n129/Chanur64/Box/Howpossible.jpg )
Also I should note I previously had Windows 7 Beta installed on an IDE drive in this exact system, and had no problems with it. Windows 7 RTM would allow me to install to an IDE drive and allowed me to install to an SSD, but it cannot see and cannot install onto both Seagate 320GB hard drives. These Seagates are known good drives previously part of a RAID 5 array.
If anyone knows what is going on or has some ideas I've not tried I would love to hear from you and get this figured out. Suffice to say this is not a promising start for Windows 7.
    Intel Q6600
    Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 (ICH9R southbridge)
    4GB DDR2-800
    2x Seagate 320GB SATA 7200.10
    Intel X25-M 80GB
    8800GTS 320mb
PC Power & Cooling 750w PSU

I just had to solve the same issue with a Seagate Momentus Thin hard drive (
    http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/laptops/slim-laptop-hard-drives/)
Tried several BIOS configuration, AHCI drivers, etc and Windows 7 32bits couldn't detect the drive.
My solution was to boot with a USB pendrive with HirenCD tools (http://www.hiren.info/) and use a partition manager to erase disk contents, create and format a partition.
Windows 7 detected the hard drive for the first time and now is installing, so.. crossing fingers.
    Thanks,
    Diego
    Diego,
Thanks for the information and the link to Hiren.info!  I'm creating my bootable flash drive now.  I'll report back if I get this to work.
I had this same issue on a Seagate Momentus 7200.2 "laptop" hard drive.  I say "lap top" in quotes because it's actually in a desktop (HP Compaq Ultra-slim dc7800).  I believe it was an upgrade, so it took me a while to figure out what I was dealing
with until I finally took out the harddrive and checked what company made it!
    Thanks everyone!

  • Pictures not loading up in safari/firefox

    hi
im using facebook and many of the applications on it
for the past two weeks the pictures which usually come up, initially come up as a box to show the picture is loading up, then the box just disappers with no picture at all.
i try the exact same sites on my pc and it works perfectly fine.
also, there are many websites which simply load very slowly in comparison with my PC. any thoughts?
    thank you in advance
    m8edy

More on my trials - I am still unsure what "reload the Webkit" means. But I am determined to keep my G5 usable, for myself, for at least another 4 years. So what to do?
Updated to the latest version of the OS which happened on July 1 - 10.5.4
I loaded the latest versions of iPhoto, iDVD, (iLife 08 programs), then performed a Software Update to get all of these packages up to date. I obtained the latest FaceBook uploaders for iPhoto and Aperture, and installed them alongside the latest incarnation of Firefox (#3 it be) Experimentation ensued.
    iPhoto
I attempted to upload files from iPhoto - kept getting failures that the export utility could not log into Facebook. so no go
Firefox browser and Facebook java folder browser
Attempted to start an album and then get Facebook to find files on my computer to upload into my Facebook account, from within Facebook using Firefox . no go again - this is where Firefox fails and there I am - looking at the desktop and seeing a message that Firefox would like to post the failure to the developers. hmmm not looking promising here
    Aperture - using 2.1
I went to the Export Utility, selected Facebook Exporter, logged into the Facebook account (sounding promising - but not ready to make a happy dance yet) selected files, existing album was the destination, then pressed "GO". Took a long time for the half dozen files, and there was a note in the bottom of the Aperture window indicating an upload was happening. Took a awhile and so I went for a TV break, and almost forgot about the upload.
When I came back, Aperture was quiet - no message. So I left Aperture and went to the Facebook page. The pictures were there. I sort of looked stunned - success?
Success with the Facebook Exporter for Aperture v 0.5.2 - yes
But this is not a cheap fix, as Lightroom is my preferred source for culling photos, but there is a fix without having to use another Mac in the house. So, I'm feeling much better now.

  • GoDaddy's webformmailer.php on my site is not working

I am stuck.  I created a site for a client and uploaded it to the GoDaddy server so they could also do updates on their HTML editor.  I used the GoDaddy webformmailer.php code they provide and it did work initally.  We tested it several times a few months ago and the test emails were coming through.  We did an update on the site, not touching the webformmailer.php code, and now it is not working.  She even had about 15-20 people say on Facebook that they used the contact page to send messages.
I reached out to GoDaddy twice so far, both times with run-around answers:
Maybe the form was blank that was submitted...
Add a captcha to it so it verify's that it is indeed a human...
Can someone help me out here?  Has anyone else had this issue?  I am not .php or SQL savy, just breaking ground with it, but, obviously it worked before, something happened on GoDaddy's end to make it not work now.  Here is the code (what is italicized and in red is GoDaddy's code I copied and pasted):

I've tested your core code (the php that's in red) on a GoDaddy account that includes the PHP script, and the script works. I simply pasted it within the <body> tags of a rudimentary HTML file (empty <head> and no other code).
However, I agree with those who have said there are better form-handling options, and because form-handling is such a fundamental website feature, I am beginning also to agree with MurraySummers that GD is not a service I'd recommend.  For more than a decade, I've enjoyed using a CGI program called CGIEmail (which I think was originally published by MIT), but GoDaddy has nothing like it. The form data arrives in a text email, not an awkward attachment, and can be arranged in any order, accompanied by any text you want (e.g., instructions, verbose field names, HTML tags and text, CSV record line, whatever, including more than on of these formats in a single email), and can send to any email address(s) you specify. Different forms can send to different addresses, which are specified in the a forms' formatting file, which is a txt file, stored in a restricted directory. (GoDaddy has said a script would not be able to access a restricted directory without displaying the password ... I suppose also bumblebees cannot fly? In any case, GoDaddy could support that in another way if they really cared to.). I was hoping to adapt one of their PHP scripts to create a PHP equivalent, but they provide no documentation (except the install instructions) and it's not a promising use of my time.
Since this thread is 9 months old, I assume you've resolved your problem by now, but for the record, I'd try running just the PHP in a simple .php file as I did, and be sure the webformmailer.php program is in your root directory. In case it might be corrupted, you might contact GoDaddy support to learn how to reinstall it. The install instructions include a link to that process, but I can't say whether or not the reinstallation might have unwanted side effects.  If it still doesn't work, then the problem must (have been) elsewhere on your page, or (the most likely cause) you haven't specified the target address correctly. All three of GoDaddy's email scripts send only to one address, which you specify on a separate page for your account.
If you've resolved this problem, please consider explaining how. It might be of help to others.

  • Droid Incredable not syncing with Windows 7 64 bit

I have tried everything and this wont sync with my windows 7 OS. I tried on my Laptop and my desktop both with same OS. It will recognize at first attempt and load the drivers. That is as far as it will go. I get a message in my device panel REV 4 controller not supported by Microsoft. If in fact that is even the device that it is referring to. My SD card is mounted. I tried the sync all, I selected hard drive, I selected HTC sync. Any suggestions. I think this is a compatible with 64 bit.

  • Refund not allowed for poor quality

I have learned that even though my Skype number does not work correctly and there is poor quality on the line, it can never be refunded, and apparently Skype don't guarantee that it will even work properly according to customer support.
After three hours, over a number of 'chats', and loads of conflicting info the best they can do is troubleshooting tips. I would love to sell people broken stuff and tell them that it don't guarantee it will work... lol
They really are ruthless and not very customer orientated at Skype. Polls have shown they are way behind others in terms of call quality etc. so I do advise you to take your money elsewhere. Skype know they have bad quality, so it's best not to promise something that works. Clever.... but for how long?

  • Portal not working in IE 10 (Internet explorer 10)

    Hello,
Our customer is using IE 10 (Internet explorer 10) and above, as their
bowser. We tried running SAP EP on IE 8 (Internet explorer 8), login
page of portal itself not coming up in IE 8, its giving us error. so we
are worried whether SAP EP will work on IE 10 also.
We tried running SAP EP on IE 6 (Internet explorer 6), and its working
fine, login page of portal is coming up properly in IE 6.
So I request you to please let us know what maximum version of IE
(Internet explorer) our customer can have on their desktop in order to
run SAP EP properly (with all the functionallity) ? Can we use IE 10
    also ?
Our OS (Operating system) is XP and in some case microsoft vista also
and our portal version is EP 7.0 , SP 14 as of now.
kindly let us know in detail.
    thanks
    regards

Check out SAP Note 1590563: SAP web application within the context of IE9.
We have been able to control IE’s document mode by using  <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Emulate8"> in personal projects in the past and it might be possible to add the <meta> element to the SAP web pages for ESS and BuyRight and test if this allows the page to render properly using IE9 (without manually putting it into Compatibility View).  The solution for the second scenario mentioned in the SAP note sounds promising.
Of course Microsoft makes it difficult again, because IE 10 will introduce another new revised Quirks Mode for IE 10 which will eliminate support for older features and include some HTML5 by default to catch up to what the other browsers (Firefox and Chrome) currently do when the <!DOCTYPE> directive is missing.

  • Bridge1[+2]  / Lightroom not working together bug

Why is it that these two programmes seem so incompatible?
Many of the [non-customisable] shortcuts are different, F2 is rename in one, yet is batch rename in the other for one particularly pointless difference. LR is choosing to break with convention elsewhere. But for no good reason that I can see and I've looked! There are many more.
A much bigger problem though is that if I update an Image in Bridge it updates the sidecar file that goes with the Raw file, so in theory LR should see the differences.
If you look at this screen shot, you'll see that is not the case.
    http://farm1.static.flickr.com/168/435164417_1d27ffbe22_o.jpg
Pics are focus test images and the pic in Bridge have been darkened, desaturated or colour boosted, just for illustration of this bug. And as you can see nothing has changed in LR, not even after visiting another folder in LR or restarting LR.
BTW I have updated to ACR3.7 and Bride2 Beta shows the changes done in B1 no problem. Reimporting the images has no effect as they are already in library. Rendering previews again also has no effect.
Though if I delete a file and then reimport it, the changes are implemented. So yet another clunky workaround. But if I make a change in LR nothing happens in Bridge2 Beta, not even if I refresh. And when I restarted Bridge2 to see if that happened I get no thumbnails at all in the folder, just icons ?!? Another restart of Bridge and images appear, but still no change to reflect LR alterations. :-( Changes written into XMP box is ticked BTW.
Not only that, Bridge allows you to rename Jpegs and Raw Files together [hooray for common sense, though serious boos for always incrementing file no. sequencing], but if you try and move JPEGs and RAWs to separate folders to get around LR's [bizarre] refusal to recognize file extensions, you find you cannot. The reason - they are now paired and they move together in Bridge. Which would not be an issue bar LR's extension bug. So because of LR I now have to leave Bridge and move the files using a different file manger, duh!
I'm curious, were the Bridge team and LR team not allowed to communicate or were LR engineers simply instructed to do everything in a different manner even if the tasks were identical in each programme? As the conflicts between the two are simply baffling. The only other explanation I can think of at present, is that it is foolishly assumed that no-one will use them both.
It's only a few days until LR's price goes up and I only have 2 days trial left, I'm still not convinced it's a sensible investment as Bridge is so much quicker to use at present, for far too many unnecessary reasons. Syncing and processing a large no. of images is very quick + easy in ACR anyway and as no-one at Adobe seems to have commented on the various complaints here regarding LR, I may well be sticking with Bridge. At least the engineers there respond and give feedback on the forums. If I knew a LR 1.1 was imminent I may invest my cash, but sadly it's not looking promising at the moment.
LR has great potential, but seems very broken at present in silly little ways and if the next iteration is not for another year.....it's sadly not worth paying for at present. And if a bug fix is announced after the price rise, I can't see me being tempted to spend the $400 it'll cost here in the UK.

    > A much bigger problem though is that if I update an Image in Bridge it updates the sidecar file that goes with the Raw file, so in theory LR should see the differences.
If you look at this screen shot, you'll see that is not the case.
You have to import the xmp data in LR to get it to recognize the changes. Metadata-xmp
