OSS1 connection failed ,the message means local saprouter timeout
When we testing connection by OSS1, we didn't logon the SAPNet. the error detail means my local saprouter is timeout. But I don't what wrong with my saprouter. becasue we use SM59 to test SAPOSS or SDCC_OSS,the connetion test are all ok.

pls check if the process saprouter is started on operating system level. If not
you can start it from operating system level. Please use saprouter -help to find
out the syntax. You can see as well in your saprouttab if you specified
the proper connection settings / permits.

From the error and other description it seems that there is some misconfiguration with setup. You need to provide the FQDN name of the server as might server name is not resolving its name properly and so facing issue. As seems from below details:

Configuration used and full address name both appears different so please verify configuration accordingly.
Please check the DNS record, check certificate whether it match FQDN name of the server with certificate name, also try to check to connect with IP address and see what result you can find.

'"Connection Failed" : The server "rrnas01" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again' message keeps displaying whenever I try to open any Adobe CS5 applications (except for Adobe Acrobat Pro). It displays until I click "OK" about 15-20 times or so and then will finally let my program open.
I have tried deleting files within my Library/Preferences folder and turning off/deleting login items within my system preferences as other forums suggested but nothing happened. Spending 3.5 hours on the phone with Adobe and completely uninstalling and then reinstalling the entire CS5 Master Collection didn't work either.
Also, it may be helpful to know that my programs worked fine for about three weeks then when we got internet and changed the password (the join, not the adminstrative password) with the wireless network "ScubaSteve" (which I've used with no problems at my old apartment) it started acting up. I have never seen "rrnas01" before so I don't know at all where it came from. I also installed the free 30 day trial of Suitcase Fusion 3 recently, but thinking that could also be the cause I have uninstalled it, and still no help.
Please help me! And please keep in mind I don't know all the computer lingo that a lot of the people in these forums seem to know. Lion is also affected but not as badly.
7.6.4 seems worse than earlier firmware.. so back to 7.6.1 or 7.5.2 if that is possible.
Obviously that is not a solution for a later Gen5 TC.
Reset to factory after the firmware downgrade. .use all network names that are short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
If the TC is the main router set the dhcp to a very short lease time.. eg 30min.. and see how it goes, or try a longer lease like 99days.
I prefer the very short lease but response has been mixed.
Use ethernet not wireless.. ethernet is always more reliable and stable than wireless.
And last .. a nightly electric timer that powers off every night at midnight for 1min.. would not be the first device we have suggested a fix that amounts to beat the unit to the punch by forcing it to reboot since it is unstable. -
We have multiple websites that do not launch now as a result of the recent upgrade from Firefox version 36.04 to version 37.01. We received "Secure Connection Failed" error messages which indicate that the connection was interrupted while the page was loading, and that the page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please explain why this is happening, and if a fix will be issued soon by Mozilla, as everything was operating normally prior to the most recent Firefox upgrade. Alternatively, please identify browser settings that can/should be changed in order for Firefox to access these basic Internet sites (that are completely accessible using other browsers such as IE and Google Chrome). So I think I know what caused this problem, but I can't figure out how to make it stop...
When I go to print, if I try to click on the pop-up to change the default printer setting, there's a LONG delay, then I get a dialog that says:
Connection Failed
The server "name" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, then try again.
Then there's another delay and I get the message a second time. I can then select any of my printer settings and print fine, it's just an annoying delay if I click on that pop-up accidentally or need to change it.
I have a new iMac and I migrated from my old G5. The "name" of the server it is seeking is my old G5, so that must be in the settings somewhere, but I can't find it. I tried going into the Print & Fax settings in System Preferences, deleting the printer there, and then re-adding, but that didn't clear it up.

--JohnHmm, well, this stopped working again for me. I tried swapping ethernet and re-installing the Airport client update - to no avail. I could always see my Mac shares from PCs though. However, I have (for now) managed to connect to the PC using ip address rather than name even though finder quite clearly sees the name. Does your printer connection work by ip rather than name ? I'm going to play name lookup detective for a bit now - it's some kind of Netbios name lookup issue I guess as I've no local DNS service. resolv.conf is apparently not used so a bit of learning to do! ...
... nmblookup seems to work but nslookup doesn't. Looks like SL connect via Finder isn't using nmblookup properly and I can't see how to make that work. When this gets reported enough it should get a publicised work-round or a fix. If only I can get dig/nslookup to slave out to nmblookup ...must be something I can configure for that ?? -

I've been connecting my 24" iMac with my 15" MacBookPro either over the WiFi or via Ethernet for months to share hard drive space & to save time transfering files constantly.
But now, all of a sudden, I'm getting the following error message:

After this, I succeded in being able to connect via Share Screen and via Web Sharing. It is only not working when I access through finder. Also, it's not letting me click on "Connect As..." so I can't check if it's entering the correct info too.
Both Macs are 10.6.6 and both have software fully updated.

I have gone to this website almost everyday for years and I have not changed anything in my internet settings, but now I'm getting this message: secure connection failed: The Certifying Authority for this certificate is not permitted to issue a certificate with this name. Suppress "Connection Failed" Error Messages on Client?
Hi there,
I have a Leopard server which is Managing Preferences for users in groups. In my Login Preference for a group, I have it basically "auto mounting" shares, such as smb://leopard-server/accounting and smb://leopard-server/graphics.
The works great so far. A user logs into their machine, managed prefs determines their group membership, and poof all the appropriate network drives show up on their desktop.
Problem is - when a user is off the network (for instance, at home with their laptop), after they power up and login they are immediately assailed with error messages, one for each failed connection to a network drive: "Connection failed. The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time".
Now it is understandable why Leopard is bringing up those error messages - it's trying it's best to connect to the network drive but the user isn't on the network.
Question is: is there any way to suppress these error messages and let the users who are off-network boot to their desktop "quietly"?
I know you can hold the Option key at login in order to turn off Managed Prefs altogether, but the problem with that is users tend to forget to turn Managed Prefs back on when they get back into the office.
Any ideas?It's not just you, I am seeing this behaviour too.
Where 10.4 clients would fail silently, 10.5 is throwing the "Connection Failed" error message as you described.
I agree it is confusing to end users and would like a way to supress it, the only thing that springs to mind is manually mounting the share via a login hook that first checks network availability rather than using a WGM configured mount. Trouble is, to mount an afp share with the users credentials via a script is a whole new problem in itself. -
Connection failed the file server is running on your machine
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could potentially help me figure out an issue I have been encountering when connection to server via VPN Connection.
I can successfully connect to a VPN connection, however, when I try and connect to my server I am receiveing a prompt that "connection failed the file server is running on your machine"
Does anyone know what this means or has suggestions?

Just the network is cranky..
Simple first step.. restart the TC.. ie unplug the power cord.. count to 10.. plug it back in.
Second step if that fails.. restart the network.. off everything.. restart in order.. modem.. TC.. clients 2min gap.
Finally if you are prepared to fight you can load 5.6 utility onto Mountain Lion and do a disconnect all users.. or a few other ways.. turn off file sharing and turn it back on.
The issue being TM did not dismount the sparsebundle correctly.

This is just FYI in case somebody else runs across this. On one user account, an error window would pop up every so often that said:
Connection Failed
The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and try again.
It turns out that the problem was caused by Screen Saver. The error popped up whenever screen saver tried to launch. On the problem account I had the "Pictures" folder selected for the screen saver, and apparently there must be an alias in that folder pointing to something on a remote server, because as soon as I go to System Preferences and open the Screen Saver panel, I get the error.
It has been driving me crazy for months but finally I thought to look in Console, where I saw the error "afp_mount[5045] CFLog (0): CFMessagePort: bootstrap_register(): failed 1103 (0x44f), port = 0x2d03, name = 'com.apple.afp_mount.ServiceProvider'"
Searching for that error led me to the Macosxhints forum at http://forums.macosxhints.com/archive/index.php/t-53209.html where a user had posted the same problem. Changing to a different screen saver or a different folder for pictures resolved the issue.

Fail the message in PI, on validation failure
Hi all,
We are working on PI 7.4 SP07 single stack system.
For a particular interface (File(FTP)-->PI-->ABAP Proxy) the requirement is to fail the message in PI and raise an alert if the value for a specific field (say BatchID) in the source file is maintained in lower case.
What is the best way to achieve this requirement.
Please share your thoughts and inputs.

I would recommend the below option rather than failing the mapping in PI .
Check the condition and notify to Business for condition failure .So that they can correct the file and places again
1)Use the Enhanced Receiver Determination and check the condition based on this open either mail or ECC Business component/Business system.
2)Create 2 mappings one for mail and other for ABAP Proxy communication.
There is also an option to fail @ mapping level by throwing a custom exception .

Our user used to be able to change the categories in a shared outlook calendar appointment but is now getting the error:
The Operation failed the messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
We have tried re-creating the mail profile but still get the same error.
If anyone has any other suggestions, that would be great, thanks.Glad to hear that it works fine in new profile. It seems your old OST file or other file in profile is corrupted. After you create a new profile, Outlook would re-sync your mailbox to a totally new OST as the data file.

My back ups are failing, the message I receive is "The backup disk image "/Volumes/Mamma and Pappa's Time Caps-1/Liz Giusti’s MacBook Pro.sparsebundle” is already in use. Any suggestions?
I am trying to back up my Macbook Pro to a time capsule attached to my iMac. When I first installed the Time Capsule, all backups went well.Reboot the TC.. it has got lost.. or reboot the whole network.. restart in correct order. .modem router.. TC.. clients.
It suddenly will reappear.. you might need to reboot it again in a few days. .such is apple software today.
