Other methods to load CSS file

Hi
I am trying to load a CSS file from a mySql DB table (each row represent a customer that use the application, and each one can set his own CSS file)
How can I convert the Stream / String that I loaded from the Clob column to something that I can use here XXXX
scene().getStylesheets().add( XXXX );
I found alot of examples, but they all talking about files from filesystem, or URLs.
my CSS file is in the application memory.
I want to prevent the option to write my string as a new file and then read it again.
I have no problem with loading the CSS file from database, this part is O.K

OHS failed to load css file due to URL too long

Hi everyone.
I hate weblogic and webcenter rendered URL, it is so long and so unfriendly. I have a webcenter portal with two applications and both of them run on clustered managed servers.
To load balance between managed server, I use OHS with mod_wl. My portal application has web root /portal, so that I have to use URL_rewrite method to change / to /portal. My url rewrite rule like that:

PS:
Does this problem relate to mod_rewrite ? If true, how to direct root / to /portal without that module ?
I see that portal project have to have an web root name that cannot be /. So with out rewrite module, my users cannot use http://portal-host/ to entry my portal.
I have another issue with OHS, that is my servlet cannot work with OHS. My servlet (used to provide link to download file) work perfectly on managed servers but not on OHS load balancer. I am wondering that it is URL to long, too.

I am currently running other OHS instance on RHEL 5.5 with the same configurations and have not any error. So, I am wondering about different between Solaris 10 and RHEL. Have you got any idea ?

Safari not loading .css files / hanging page load

A bit of an odd one this...
I'm having a few issues a couple of websites in that the page takes an age to load - and when (if) it does, the CSS file hasn't loaded, so the page is unstyled.
One page is http://www.liverpoolfc.tv - the main page and the advert page before it both have the same issue.
From the activity report, this is because the browser is not completing the download of the file http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/lfc.css - although this will download fine if I download the file not as a part of the site.
The (Safari) activity report shows that the page's .css file is stalling, in this case at 8.0KB out of 8.6KB - this is consistent each time I try to load the page.
The problem occurrs in both Safari (3.2.1) and Firefox (3.0.6) on Mac OS X 10.5.6. It also happens with the current version of WebKit and Camino. The computer is up to date on all other relevant patches, including the recent Security Update, Java Update 3 and Flash.
I'm experiencing this problem with another website, again with the .css file not loading.
Similarly, I have two computers (both the same versions of software) and the problem is consistent between them.
What I've tried so far...
- resetting Safari
- deleting the cookies manually
- using a proxy server
- starting Safari in Rosetta
- using a copy of Safari without any user preferences (via the System Admin login)
None of these have made a difference. However, given that this is a problem across Safari, Firefox etc., I suspect this must be an issue in a shared component.
Any thoughts?

1. From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
2. From the menu bar, select
           ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane. Test.
3. From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Test.

Safari won't load css file

I'm developing a web page at http://uoregon.edu/~jbernal/index_20080723.html. Safari (v 3.1.2) won't load the external css file for this page. The page looks fine in Firefox 3.0. Any suggestions to help me render the css?

Safari 3.1.2 (my machine) loading it without issue.
Must be errors that Safari can't handle with your .css file code.

Firefox won't load css file, due to incorrect MIME type.

I am using dynamic css to rotate header background images. It requires the line:
echo "<style type='text/css' media='screen'> @import url('images/random-images/dynamic_css.php');</style>\n";
to be added between the <head> tags. The file 'dynamic_css.php' contains a line telling the browser that the file type is "text/css", but Firefox treats it as "text/html" and refuses to load it. If I duplicate the style declaration by also adding it outside of the head tags, Firefox loads it, but that causes other issues. What do I need to do to get Firefox to load the script from inside the head tags?

That is probably because the server doesn't send a file with the php file extension as text/css.<br />
Did you try to add a PHP header to make sure that the file gets send as text/css ?<br />
Firefox may try to load such files from the cache and not reload them from the server.

Other problems with loading Captivate files into Flash AS3 project

I have a Captivate file done with Captivate 3, published to
Flash player 9 that is being loaded into Flash AS3. The captivate
is a simple recording of some mouse clicks in a browser. I am
displaying the playbar along the bottom, and its buttons all work
fine except for the progress bar, where you can drag the knob and
scrub back & forth in your presentation.
This progress bar is not working as it should. I see the
mouse cursor change to a hand, but when I click I cannot drag the
knob to control the progress bar. The other buttons in the playbar
do work (replay, pause, play, back, forward).
This is a unique problem in that it is only happening when
viewed in IE (7) when loaded into my Flash AS3 project. When viewed
in Firefox in my project, or as a standalone SWF, or as a SWF
simply embedded onto a plain HTML page, it works just fine.
Does anybody have any insight?
Another thing I notice with loading Captivate files with AS3
is the the amount of output messages it displays. Rather annoying
(unless this is a "feature" I've yet to be aware of - heh)

Firefox doesn' see css files, other browsers do recognize css files. Please, help me.

If you open it with chrome, safari and ie, it works fine. But when I start using Mozilla and Opera, they simply don't see css files.

This should not be any issue with PE7 as it is meant for opening any supported not corrupted image. Can you please re check this issue with you. Make sure you have copied the image successfully and completely from your phone to your machine.
If again you are facing the issue please share the image your are trying to open.

Java script and css files are not loaded

I am using 9iAS 1.0.2.2.2a on Windows Server Family 2000. My web application is using bc4j and developed in JDeveloper 3.2. I am also using Apache and web cache and caching js and css files.
Problem is some times it does not load js files but load css files.
Some times loads css files but does not load js files.
Some times does not load js and css files.
& some times loads both types of files.
How to control this problem.

I'm fairly certain this issue represents a bug in IE 11. The same problem(s) do not occur in IE 9 or IE 10. The same problems occur on unrelated websites accessed from separate machines. Doing a force-refresh (Ctrl+F5) always fixes the issue.
I took your advice about opening the console to look for error messages during page load. When loading normally (i.e. not doing a force-refresh), the console shows the following:

Loading .css into my .fla file (non-.AS file)

My .html file loads, but not my .css file.
I want to add the proper code to load a .css file, which is
for my .html file, directly into my .fla file that has the code for
the text area and scrollbar with the .html file loading

Then I swap out the css file name with what I have - style_dtf.css - and it doesn't error (no output regarding CSS), but it shows ALL the code from the XML file in a big string, with all the tags and everything.
Very weird...
I even pasted the CSS from the example file into the beginning of my CSS file and still same effect.
I do have all my SWFs in a seperate folder, but for now I just duplicated my CSS and XML into both folders.

Problem loading css or js file

Hello,
I am relatively new in java and I am trying to do a simple CRUD with Servlets and JSP. I am working with netbeans 8, and I have a Servlet that call the JSP pages.
When I run the application, Servlet call a login.jsp and if validation is true, then it call index.jsp
The problem occurs when one jsp page want to load a css file, then jsp page doesn't load the css file!
I tried debugging with firebug page, but I don't found the problem.
Some idea because this malfunction?

You can solve this using two ways...!
1. You can give the hard-core path (full path with the project name: /ProjectName/DirectoryName/JavaScriptFileName.js)
2. You can use request.contextPath() (to get the current context name)

Loading cod files on to playbook

My first question is,
Is that possible to load cod files on playbook ?
I have tried these methods to load the cod file that I developed in eclipse on to playbook.
1. In eclipse, tried the option Load Project(s) on device.
It did not work. All it does when I do that is, it just complies and goes off..its not installing the app on the device,
2. Started the app loader, (Program Files --> Common Files --> App loader --> loader) and tried to hit next, it is saying
"You need to use the Blackberry Desktop Software to update this device." But the desktop software says, it isthe latest version
Please let me know if there are any other methods to load the application on to playbook. Also, please let me know if I am doing anything wrong..

No. COD files are Java applications. BAR files are currently either native C++ apps, Adobe AIR apps or WebWorks apps. They are totally different formats and cannot be converted. PB does not support COD formatted files.

we can use file adapter,using native builder,sample it,
delimited/fixed length, we can do normal file read and file write/DB write.It works fine.
2)If my input file is xml file,we can't use native builder format(Because it doesn't support
delimited/fixed length/complex character in native format builder).

I can write my XMl file into write folder as it is using opaque object(No native format translation)
I can write XML file into DB using BLOB data type.
But my requirement is:

Can i do it using DOM parser/SAX parser?

Loading XML files into an 8.0.6 database...

Hi,
I've got an Oracle 8.0.6 instance (Sun E250 Solaris 5.7) with multiple import data feeds. I am currently using SQL*Loader to load this data which are flat text delimited files. My data feeds will soon be supplying XML files instead of these flat files which is great, unfortunately, I will not be able to upgrade in 8.1.7 in time so that I can use the XML parser.
Is there anyway I can use SQL*Loader or some other tool to load XML files into my 8.0.6 database? If there is a way, could someone please send the information I would need to help perform this task?

Check out the Oracle XDB Developer's Guide, Chapter 3. There is an example of using BFileName function to load the xml files from a directory object created using create or replace directory. It works really well.

Loading an external css file

hi friends,
i am facing a small problem.
in my team i have a designer he works on css and i do coding
in flex.
what i want to do is , allow my designer to change the look
and feel of my flex application
just using css and there should be no use to recompile the
code again.
i have tried many thing and saw many examples.
in each example i saw they either want an .swf file (i.e to
recompile)
or the example is only working for text fields (not for
Button,canvas etc.).
i want to enable my designer to just write the css for any
component in my application, go on to browser
and just refresh the page containing the flex application and
the change should be seen.

That simplified things, but I can't understand why StyleSheet
ParseCSS() method converts class selectors to all lowercase.
