  • Extraneous text in Application-Reports

    I posted this in the Content Areas discussion first, and the recommended I post it here instead. I ported several Application-Reports from WebDB to Portal and noticed that now, in the edit parameters form of the Application-Report there is new text appearing, like "Query Options" and "Formatting Options." How can I turn the extraneous text off?

    I've checked and unchecked everything as appropriate. My problem is exactly with the words "Query Options." Those words print. I don't want them to. The didn't used to print with WebDB, now they do. There is no option to turn them off. Similarly, if I want to give users, for example, an output option, the words "General Options" appear above the "Output Format" selection area. Again, this was not true of WebDB. I would like to omit this, in my mind, extraneous text; is there any way to turn it off?
    Edit Report > Goto Customization Form Display Options > Uncheck whatever options that you do not want.
    NOTE: If you have any bind variables then "Query Option" text will come.

  • Receipts & Payment report for a particular period

    Dear Team,
    PFA of receipts & payment report which has to be executed in SAP without development. Kindly request to check & suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sai

    Hi Babu,
    For receipts go to FBL5N dynamic selections select special GL indicator as "A" and select document type "DZ (if you are using the different doc type for receipt posting, then select those document types"  and in the selection screen select all items and select check box special GL transactions and execute it. Then you will get customer receipts.
    Same procedure will apply for payments, you just select the t.code.FBL1N & document type(KZ, if other than this select those documents) and execute it.

  • Issue with ADF Application Report Generation

    1) We are developing the web-base ERP application we are using technology as follows
    a) Operating System Red Hat Enterprise Linux4.
    b) Application Server Oracle Application Server 10.1.3
    c) Oracle ADF is the frame work
    d) Jasper reports (iReport 3.0.0) as report generation tool.
    While generating larger reports using iReport3.0.0 Tool i,e., contains more than 20,000 records the query while executed in Sqlplus takes less than a minute, but while the report is run it takes more time leading to time out and the pdf file is not generated. The error shown on the screen is “the web server unable to process the given request”
    The session time-out is 5 minutes. Please help us to tackle this issue since most of the reports are summarized reports and contain large transactional data and is critical reports.
    You may also suggest other web based report tools which help us generate large reports in PDF and/or text formats.

    PRABEETHSOY,
    some things come to mind.
    While generating larger reports using iReport3.0.0 Tool i,e., contains more than 20,000 records the query while executed in Sqlplus takes less than a minute, but while the report is run it takes more time leading to time out and the pdf file is not generated.Running a query in sqlplus is totally different from running it in an application. Sqlplus only pumps the results to the screen, whereas the application builds some layers around the data, so that you can navigate through the result. This will cost some time.
    You can try to optimize your strategy working with the data, i.e. running the query in forward only mode and/or omit the usaeg of EO where you know you don't need to change data.
    But in the end you may find that you have to use a different approach to generate the reports: do it asynchrony, meaning that you start the generation on the server, let it finish there (putting the result in a file) and send the finished report to the user in a different request. Do do this you can use a poll component, or you ask the user to come back later (giving him a report number to ask for). Other solution are possible.

  • Applied Receipts Register Report in AR - RXi Report

    Hi Fincon,
    I have a client requirement wherein we need to customize the Applied Receipts register report in AR. After analyzing program andd the executable we discovered that the report is an RXi report spawned from a plsql program.
    From the SQL Trace analysis, we found that the report is not doing anything different from what a normal rdf report would do. Can someone throw me any lights on why is this report an RXi report? Has anybody done any customizations on this report? Were there any challenges in customizing this report? How was the customization of this RXi report done?
    Thanks.
    Srini.

    This has to be customized using :Oracle Financials RXi Reports Administration Tool, but it's not that flexible.

  • Application Reports in APEX 4.0

    Hi,
    I've upgraded to APEX 4.0 and really enjoying the new features. The one feature that I used to use in 3.2 is the "Application Reports" under the Tasks.
    It is referred to in the help but for the life of me I cannot find it, has anyone else encountered this?
    Here is the extract from the help file:
    Accessing the Bulk Edit Item Help Report
    To view the Bulk Edit Item Help report:
    1.On the Workspace home page, click the Application Builder icon.
    2.Select an application.
    *3.On the Tasks list, click Application Reports.*
    This is the part that's not there
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Connor

    We shifted all the reports and bulk updates underneath the area they best fit. For bulk edit of help, from the page definition page, click the edit all icon and then the utilities tab - you will see all the bulk edits and special reports available for items. Same for other object types. You can also get at these from the Utilities page (new icon in the upper right), within the right side-bar you will find a list of all the page-specific utilities.
    Same for Shared Components, grid edit of lovs is now a tab under lovs.

  • BILLING HISTORY REPORT AND BILLING AND RECEIPT HISTORY REPORT

    I ran both the billing history report and the billing and receipt history report. There are invoices on the one report but not the other. I then checked it to the age analysis report as well.
    There are three outstanding invoice on the age analysis report and on the billing and receipt history report, but not on the billing history report.
    Any idea why this is so?
    Kindly respond.

    Hi Archana,
    First, you will have to fetch all the Print documents corresponding to the Contract account from ERDK table and then fetch the data for the Print document,Billing document and the Contract from the table DBERDLB.
    Then get the Move-in and Move-out information from the table EVER and Bill start date and end date from the table ERCH.
    Once, you have all this information, then the consumption can be of 2 types : Daliy meter read and Monthly meter read (depends on the client's requirements).
    For daily consumption, you will have to consider the Profiles which can be found out with the help of the FM ISU_PROFILE_GET_EPROFVALDAY and then calculate the consumption accordingly.
    For monthly meter reads, you will have to find out the information from the Equipment or the meter installed.
    Kindly let me know in case you need any further calrifications on the same.
    Regards,

  • Application not Showing Up on Application Report

    I have 7 computers to manage and on one system InDesign (CS4) does not show up on the application usage report. I know she's using the application because this is the primary software we use in our department. Can anyone tell me why it's not showing up on the application report?
    Her system is an imac 10.4.11

    Have you verified that the app is in it's original location with the correct name?
    What version of ARD are you using?
    Have you checked the reporting settings on that system? Are you getting usage for other apps and just not ID?

    Hello,
    You want to do that directly from APEX?
    I normally use PLSQL and dbms_scheduler (dbms_job) for that. Basically my PLSQL code is generating my csv file or pdf report and the job is running that every so often. Would that be an option for you?

  • Convert Oracle Application Reports to Oracle Reports

    Hi All,
    Our company has an old Oracle Financial Application with number of Reports. The Application Version is 10.7.0 SC161 and the database version is Oracle7 Server Release 7.3.4.3.0 - Production. It was installed in 1998 and was used till 2005. Now we have moved to different Financial App. The data on the application is not being updated anymore. Only the reports are being run on the old historical data. All the reports are canned reports that came with the application, for example Trial Balance, GL Transactions, etc. The rdf files are for example GLRTBD.rdf, GLACTANP.rdf, etc. My challenge is to convert these old application tied reports to new oracle reports and publish them to a new application server for use. I have moved the data by full export / import to a new 9i database. I have downloaded and installed the Reports developer in my workstation and got all the .rdf files from the old server to my workstation. When I try to open some of these rdf files I get compilation errors because of old pll librarys. I recompile them with out error when I am connected to the new database. The biggest problem is there are no direct sql statements in the reports. All of them use flex fields and they are populated by application packages. For example, the GLRTBD report has the following query:
    SELECT
    &PAGEBREAK_SEGMENT PAGEBREAK_SEGMENT_H,
    &ACCOUNTING_SEGMENT ACCOUNTING_SEGMENT_H,
    &FLEXDATA FLEXDATA_H,
    &BEG_BAL BEG_BAL_H,
    &ACTIVITY ACTIVITY_H,
    &END_BAL END_BAL_H
    FROM
    GL_BALANCES GLB,
    GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS GLCC
    WHERE
    GLB.ACTUAL_FLAG = 'A'
    AND GLB.SET_OF_BOOKS_ID = &P_SET_OF_BOOKS_ID
    AND GLB.CURRENCY_CODE = :P_CURRENCY_CODE
    AND &CURRENCY_WHERE
    AND &PERIOD_WHERE
    AND GLB.CODE_COMBINATION_ID = GLCC.CODE_COMBINATION_ID
    AND GLCC.CHART_OF_ACCOUNTS_ID = :STRUCT_NUM
    AND GLCC.TEMPLATE_ID IS NULL
    AND &PAGEBREAK_WHERE
    &GROUPORDER
    and the the beforereport trigger contains:
    SRW.USER_EXIT('FND FLEXSQL
    CODE="GL#"
    APPL_SHORT_NAME="SQLGL"
    OUTPUT=":PAGEBREAK_WHERE"
    MODE="WHERE"
    DISPLAY=":P_PAGEBREAK_SEG_NUM"
    NUM=":STRUCT_NUM"
    TABLEALIAS="''''||GLCC"
    OPERATOR="BETWEEN"
    OPERAND1=":P_LOW_PB_SEG"
    OPERAND2=":P_HIGH_PB_SEG"');
    This is just one example. All the reports are like this. My question is what is the best way to convert these application reports to normal oracle reports and publish them to a new app server. All the reports need concurrent manager in the old server running to process the reports. How can I run them in a new application server without concurrent manager? We use about 20 reports from the old server. I would like to move these 20 reports to the new server and get rid of the overhead of running a whole application. I am looking for a way to convert these reports without recreating them. I would really appreciate your advise/direction in this situation. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your suggestion Rajesh. That is what I would like to do. But how do I recreate the reports in the new APEX server? All the flexfields are populated by the Oracle Application packages like:
    SRW.USER_EXIT('FND FLEXSQL
    CODE="GL#"
    APPL_SHORT_NAME="SQLGL"
    OUTPUT=":PAGEBREAK_WHERE"
    MODE="WHERE"
    DISPLAY=":P_PAGEBREAK_SEG_NUM"
    NUM=":STRUCT_NUM"
    TABLEALIAS="''''||GLCC"
    OPERATOR="BETWEEN"
    OPERAND1=":P_LOW_PB_SEG"
    OPERAND2=":P_HIGH_PB_SEG"');
    This is a builtin package for Oracle Application. What is the process getting these SRW packages in to the new server without actually installing the Oracle Applications. I have installed an apex server in a new linux server. How can I recreate these SRW packages in my new apex server? Thank you.

  • Oracle Applications Report Mod & User Exits...

    OK, here is an incredibly stupid question for y'all. I want to customize an existing Oracle Application report (gasp!). I've brought the .rdf file down to my PC and made my changes. I can run the report OK if I ftp it back to UNIX and run it through Oracle Applications...but I can't run it on my PC. It can't find the user exits.
    Where can I find these user exits, and what must I do with them so I can run the report on my PC (from Report Builder)?
    Thank you for any and all assistance!

    You need to get and install the applicaions software (but not the DB objects) for your PC (if it's available - depends on the OS), so that the apps user-exits are available.
    Otherwise - stick to what you're doing. The advantage of this is that you see exactly how the report is going to look - there are porting issues between unix and win32 (eg fonts). This way you're testing on the target platform.
    You could try posting your question to an appsnet discussion forum (http://appsnet.oracle.com) and see what other applications users do.
    fyi, a lot of the user exits for apps are going away now that they're moving to Reports 6i as part of apps 11i. This is possible as we have included a lot of the functionality that they originally wrote as a user-exit, native in the product.
