OTL Project Time card Custom LOV error

after doing the necessary setups and ldt modifications , am getting an error "Message not found. Application: HXC, Message Name: HXC_CUI_ERROR. Tokens: CUI_ERROR_CODE = LOV_NULL_COMPONENT_ALIAS; " while opening the time card
Can any one please help me out in resolving the issue.

OTL Time card: Where to write custom validations

Hi,
I need to write some validations after the user submits time card.
WHat is the package in which I can write these custom validations? Does oracle recommend any specific package?
Also, If i have two projects,
Time card period: 01-01-12 to 01-08-12
Project 1 ends on 01-05-12
Project 2 starts from 01-06-12
Would it be possible to restrict project lov if user tries to enter project on 01-07-12, not to use project 1?
if not possible where can I make that validation in the code?

I will answering your doubts no 3 and 4
Instead of using XML template, I would suggest you to use WED Adi, which can be called from the OTL page
button. And at that time the only thing u have to upload server with the WebAdi template.
Here you will not need to build a custom table, a view will solve the purpose. And there is not need of further maintenance
For the file to be read only you can include it in the code while extending your respective controller class.
But Oracle recommend not to extend controller class. Let the client be aware of it, that it requires the extension
of controller class of the page. If he thumps up the extension of controller class then your life becomes pretty simple.

Time card issue in CATS

Hi All,
while trying to correct the error (via CAT2), system not allowing to delete / correct time card entries, the error says Production order flagged for deletion,so we could not transfer time cards to CONTROLLING, due to this we could not close Nov.month.

Each period is closed for posting after certain date.
In CATS profile settings, if u tick "Take account of period lock", you would not be able to chnge/add for a period which is already closed in costing.
You can change the posting date in the transfer program RCATSTCO(transfer to controlling) manually.

Get the project ID, asssuming that you are passing project id through hash map.

OTL time card: how to apply criteria to LOV

Hi,
I am adding a new lov to record state and city and I need to limit the cities to project cities.
Any idea how I can apply criteria to a LOV, especially if I am configuring by adding custom LOV.

Hi,
You can do it by OAF personalization.
Enable the link 'Personalize page' on the given OTL page and then for that column set the rendered property as 'True' and then the column will become mandatory,

OTL Time Card Explosion based on custom rules

Hi,
I am working on a customization in which the users are setting up some custom rules thru some custom form. They want the Time card to be exploded based on these rules.
Can someone please suggest me some API which i can use to explode the time card. And also does this explosion move the data to HXT tables ?
would I need to run the transfer to BEE program? or the API would automatically move the data to BEE.

Error while creating Time Card Using API

I have a requirement to run OTL Interface once day to create/update Time Card in OTL for those datea created on sysdate-1 in Service Module (data will get feeded from Service Module). For example this interface will run on sysdate to create time cards for those data created in the service module on sysdate-1.

Custom VO for OTL Custom Timecard Error in R12

Hello All,
I am very new to OA Framework and JDev so first let me write down the steps I did before I got the error on one of the LOVs on timecard page.
1. Created a database view called HXC_CUSTOM_VIEW with only 2 columns
2. Created VO via Jdev in read only mode. Hardcorded the values in CustomLOVVO.xml as,
RowClass="oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OAViewRowImpl"
ComponentClass="oracle.apps.hxc.selfservice.timecard.server.CustomLOVVO"
Generated the JAVA as CustomLOVVOImpl. Compiled the project and got .class file.
3. Transfered .xml and .class files onto the server under $JAVA_TOP/hxc/selfservice/timecard/server. CHMOD to 777 for both files.
4. As I am on R12, logged onto application and clicked on responsibility "AK HTML FORMS". Created Attributes and Region and added Region Items.
Covered important details while creating Region such as,
"oracle.apps.hxc.selfservice.timecard.server.TimecardAM"
"oracle.apps.hxc.selfservice.configui.webui.LovCO"
5. Added 2 items under the Region.
6. Modified the timecard .LDT file and add the code to include LOV.
7. Bounced apache and logged into OTL Self-service. Clicked on create timecard, entered value for all fields and when on click on the LOV icon for this item I get the below error,

Editing Oracle seeded files is not recommended as they are not upgrade/ patch safe. Read OTL impl white paper for your custom LOV requirements, They have explained well.

OTL Time Card issue in Self Service

Hi All,
I am working in OTL. I m new to this module. Currently i am facing the below issue.
In OTL, there is a validation of project and task when user enters time card.
Whenever user enters time cards against the hour type which is not of PTO (e.g. regular) etc, project number
and project task should be mandatory.
It is working fine in OTL Time Keeper, but not working in Self Service Time Card.
I am analyzing the issue but not getting the exact solution for the same.
Kindly reply me to resolve it.

Check through the Preferences form to find the layout preference attached to a person.
If your OTL implementer was wise enough, he would have given a new name to the modified layout. Otherwise use the fndload command to download the layout ldt file and compare with the original ones.

OTL Rule firing when deleting the time card

Hi Friends,
I have created an OTL Time entry rule and this works fine while entering the time entry. But when I try to delete the complete time card the application fires the same time entry rule.
Can someone help me as to why this error comes up when I try to delete the time card. Without the time entry rule I am able to delete(end-date) the time card successfully.

You might have selected the value Submission / Resubmission / Delete to when you created the Time Entry Rule. Select only Submission / Resubmission.
