API is acceptable but interface table is perefable .

How to create Payment against the invoices in R12 using API/Interface table

Hi Experts,
I need your help.
As per my requirement , we need to create the payments against the invoices using the payment information provided.
Earlier the Payments against the invoice is done by (3rd party system) in 11i.
But, as a part of R12 implementation,
The requirement is like now they are going to provide us and flat file(having below payment information) and we need to create the payment with these information.
COLUMNS PROVIDED

We need to create an inbound interface to achieve the below requirement.
1. Create the payments in oracle R12 with the above payment information. (unable to find the way please suggest).
2. Creating the Journal entries. -> We are having GL_INTERFACE & Journal Import program to import the journals.
3. Finally we have to posting the same into GL.-- Interface & Import programs available.
Is there any api or interface tables can be used to create the payment against the invoices in r12?
Could you please help me to achive my above requirements.
Any sample code or reference will be a great help for me.

Need API or interface table for manufacturer & mfr part

We are developing integration that would push data to following base tables.
1.     mtl_item_categories
2.     mtl_manufacturers
3.     mtl_mfg_part_numbers
We could find interface table for category but nothing for manufacturers and manufacturer part.
Let me know any API or open interface table that can be used in Apps 11.5.9 and above. Thanks in advance.

API or interface table to create releases for a blanket purchase agreement

I need to know if Oracle provides a standard API or interface table to create releases for a blanket purchase agreement.
I tried using the release_num field in PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE, PO_LINES_INTERFACE. But this is not working.
I'm able to create the blanket purchase agreement using the open interfaces, but not the releases.

Hi Alister,
You can't create a release of a BPA through API, there is no such APIs provided by oracle.
Where as you can create a BPA by using API. You need to dump/poplulate data in PO_headers_interface & PO_Lines_intreface table.. Then use Purchasing Documents Open Interface API to create a BPA.

Custom PL/SQL API that inserts the data into a custom interface table.

We are developing a custom Web ADI integrator for importing suppliers into Oracle.
The Web ADI interface is a custom PL/SQL API that inserts the data into a custom interface table. We have defined the content, uploader and an importer. The importer is again a custom PL/SQL API that will process the records inserted into the custom table and updates the STATUS column of the custom interface table. We want to show the status column back on the spreadsheet.
Defined the 'Document Row' import rule and added the rows that would identify the unique record.
Errored row import rule, we are using a SELECT * from custom_table where status<>'Success' and vendor_name=$param$.vendor_name
The source of this parameter is import.vendor_name
We have also defined an Error lookup.
After the above setup is completed, we invoke the create document and click on Oracle->Upload.
The records are getting imported, but the importer program is failing with An error has occurred while running an API import. The ERRORED_ROWS step 20003:ER_500141, parameter number 1 must contain the value BIND in attribute 1.'

The same issue.
Need help.
Also checked bne.log, no additional information.

We have used interface tables just to have better control and reprocessing abilities. You may need to be little careful about the TCA tables.

How to import order from Interface table using Api Order Import

Hi All
I am using oracle EBus R12.
I was working in Data migration in Order management.
I have manually entered data in Interface table ie (oe_header_iface_all) and (oe_lines_iface_all)
And i have given the order_source_id as 2 and order_source as COPY.
And after that i ran the concurrent program with parameter as COPY but the concurrent program does'nt picks the order in the interface.
Can any one please tell the steps in OM.

R12.1 customer conversion APIs or interface tables

When converting customers in R12.1, is it best to use TCA APIs or the ra_customer interface tables and customer import import

There was not interface / api for Uom conversions in 11.5.10.2.
I don't think it is there in R12 either but you can check the following

API (interface tables) to synchronize Oracle EBS and outsourced functions?

Hi,
Our company is outsourcing the inventory and shipping functions. Now we'll need to synchronize the Oracle EBS with actual shipment data. We have've to use the APIs and keep Oracle tables in sync with the legacy system.
Which API we can use for Pick Confirm, when we have to do WMS and LPN handling? Or is there some other way (like interface tables) to take care of this issue?
APIs should be supported with our EBS version 11.5.9. EBS version upgrade is not possible for us now. We'll need info how to implement above issue asap.

Interface tables Or API's Used for Conversion of Categories&category sets

Hello All ,
In the inventory module we have Categories concept , once Items are converted into oracle we assign items to categories by using the Mtl_item_categories_interface table , but how do we convert the categories into oracle , do we have any interface tables or any Apis .
It would be great if any one can help me in this regard...

Hello Sairam,
I think there is no such an API : so, for category conversion, we use Dataload tool.
One thing you can do is running a trace of the creation of a category : that way, you will see all control that are performed during category creation.
Once the control are performed, you can insert rows with procedure MTL_CATEGORIES_PKG.INSERT_ROW.
Same method for category sets (package MTL_CATEGORY_SETS_PKG
)

OTL Timecard Customization !!!

Hi All,
I'm trying Customization to OTL Timecard i.e add two extra columns Project Name and Task Name.
I got this ldt file (hxczzhxclayt0019.ldt) to customize. I did my changes to add these fields. I was successful in seeing these columns.
But the problem is I don’t know if the LOV is actually working or not. When I click on the Torch or LOV icon, it does open and I’m able to select the project name. But when I’m done with selection of the project name it does not reflect on the Project Name column of the Table Matrix, it instead shows the Project Id in the Project Column of the Table Matrix. And how will I make the Project Id and Project Name dependent.
Note:1) ProjectLOVVO was already there with project name. so i dint customize it.
2) And i have no idea how QUALIFIER_ATTRIBUTE6 field works.
3) Could any body please explain me or direct me where i can get the definitions of the fields QUALIFIER_ATTRIBUTE (1 to 30)
