Outline agreement Cost on multiple work order

Normally annual maintenance contracts are created at the start of year but the maintenance work orders are created as they are  required.We need to reflect the cost of single annual maintenance contract on multiple maintenance work orders for proper documentation of equipment life cycle costing. How it can be achieved in SAP PM ?

We have mapped a scenario as per your reqirement as follows-
1. Create Rate contract in the year begining- with reference to it create PR then PO with account assignment category F
OR
2. Create PR then PO in the year begining with account assignment category F
3. when you create maintenance order assign the service items of a particular PO to one operation with control key PM03. However change the settings for creation of reservation/purchase requisition to never so that PR do not get triggered.
Then select the operation click on external to assign services from the PO you have already made. In this way you will get the plan cost of the external services.
4. Then go for service entry - ML81N - create service entry sheet with respect to the maintenance order. After service entry you will find the actual cost is debited to the order. In this way you can flow cot to your order & technical objects.
I think this will fulfill your reqirement

    Hi monica,
    Costing variant forms the link between the application and Customizing, since all cost estimates are carried out and saved with reference to a costing variant. The costing variant contains all the control parameters for costing.
    The configuration parameters are maintained for costing type, valuation variants, date control, and quantity structure control.In costing type we specify which field in the material master must the price be updated,
    In valuation variant we specify in what order the system should go about accessing prices for the material master planned price, standard price, moving average price etc. Further which is the price which should be considered for activity price. How the system should select BOM and routing.

  • Cost Centers for Work Orders

    HI Guru's,
    I have an issue with work orders for our maintenance team. The orders are being settled to the incorrect cost center.  I believe this is happening because they have not been set up correctly.  Please can you tell me if there a way to transfer these into the correct cost center?  and how can I change the set up on these work orders?

    It sounds like you need to change the settlement rule on the work orders so they settle to the correct cost center.  Go to IW32 -> Goto->Settlement rule
    To move previous postings, you can do an CO only reposting using transaction KB11 to move CO postings to the correct cost object.

  • Check and fix the cost flow in work order

    Hi Gurus,
    When I am processing the work order, at final stage after TECO the actual cost is showing very high.
    ex : If i use 2 labors for the work and paid 200/- each (only service work order) but when i execute the work it is showing as 3000/- in actual cost.
    please help me how to fix this.

    Are you using internal labor for these expenses? If so, make sure your activity types carry the correct costs on them. Check transaction code KP26. Activity Rates are calcuklated for Cost Center-Activity Type couples for each financial period.

  • Outside Processing for Multiple Work Orders

    I have a request for the following process in 11.5.10.2:
    I have product lines "A", "B", "C" and "D", each with variable demand. Each of these get sent for outside services on a periodic basis.
    Using the OSP functionality in Discrete Manufacturing, we want to do one PO to satisfy the supplier.
    PO#1 may look like:
    - Product A: 500 units
    - Product B: 700 units
    - Product C: 20 units
    - Product D: 1000 units
    PO#2 may look like:
    - Product A: 0 units
    - Product B: 100 units
    - Product C: 50 units
    - Product D: 0 units
    Regardless of the product mix or the number of units being processed, the supplier is going to charge me a flat rate of $1000. I want to burden each of my work orders with its percent contribution to the total PO charge.
    Said another way:
    ($ Flat Rate Charge of PO) / (Total Units of the PO) * (Units on a specific line)
    For PO#1:
    PO#1 may look like:
    - Product A: 500 units = $250
    - Product B: 700 units = $350
    - Product C: 200 units = $100
    - Product D: 1000 units = $500
    - PO total = $1200
    PO#2 may look like:
    - Product A: 0 units = $0
    - Product B: 100 units = $1000
    - Product C: 20 units = $200
    - Product D: 0 units = $0
    - PO total = $1200
    Each product would have a standard OSP lot charge in the router and variances would be driven by the actual PO.
    Is there a way to configure this?

    Hi RajaSekhar,
    You can definitely get the orders & notifications for two shifts. You can do this by adding all different workcenters in the customization in the backend system.
    To do this in the backend system go to Order Processing- and pick the corresponding OrderProcessing Scenario and double click on that- then go to varaint and click on selection report and in that you can add mutiple work centers as many as you need and then save the varaint.
    Similarly change the variant for notification processing profile also.
    After making changes in the backend, do a replication of syncbo' MAM25_090 and MAM25_095 and then do a sync from the client to get the proper data.

    Example:  An inspection is being performed based off of a work order.  When an issue is found that requires a notification, a notification type was created for such findings from the inspection.  When that "findings" notification is converted to a work order, how do I link this to the original inspection work order?

    Hi,
    You have some limited options to acheive this viz. You can acheive this by developement like when you create some Notification you can mention the old order number in Reported by field via enhancement but create notification individualy and when you create new order it will link to this notification as well as in notification you can see the original order number.
    Otherwise just try utilize some field to group this like you can use Revision field to by creating a revision for this Inspection and and put that revision in both the orders and as well as in Notifications (from EHP4 revision is available in in Notification too).

  • LIV-Planned Del.Cost for Multiple Purchase order.

    Hi Gurus,
    I have following issue while doing LIV -T-code MIRO . Passing Planned del. cost (Imports -Custom Duty) for Multiple POs (Same Vendor)
    Checked following basics.
    1.In Po Planned Del cost are maintained .(Custom Duty)
    2.in MIRO -Selected Layout All information and Planned Del. cost
    3.In Details tab Entered Doc. type RI (inv. receipt-IM) for imports.
    4.Entered all mand. details like Amount ,currencey etc
    1.Selected Layout All information and Planned Del. cost
    2.Selected in Po reference Tab- Purchase order/Scheduling agreement and in more allocation area ,I am entering mulitple purchase order.(say 2 Pos)
    When I adopt required 2 Po and line items to be settled r desplayed. and Again when I enter.Only One PO is displayed and other vansihes.
    I need Both the PO  (multiple PO).
    Please help in resolving the issue.

    Hi,
    Yes, it is possible.
    In MIRO, click on "More Allocation Criteria" button besides Purchase Order field
    here go to search help of PO in the Pop-up screen and enter the vendor code and company code and execute
    Now select the POs and click on "Copy" button and now click on "Adopt" button in the pop-up screen
    It will copy all the POs and then follow the normal procedure of LIV.

  • Work Order & Cost Center Commitment Management

    We have a business requirement to be able to view our work order commitments (Reqs and POs) from the work order as well as from the cost center assigned to the work order via a settlement rule. Our business users do not like the work order collecting all of the costs instead of the cost center where they perform their cost controlling.
    The actuals will settle to the cost center eventually but without the commitments they have no way of planning for future costs. Commitments management is activated for both the cost centers and work orders involved. I am open to any suggestions on how to achive this requirement. Thanks!

  • PM work order estimate cost

    I wanted to ask regarding  "Estimated cost of work order"
    Ponit 1- In Transaction IW32 (change work order) change the Estimated Cost field so that it does not u201Cgrey outu201D after the work order has been released. This field is available for data entry while the work order is in the CRTD status but cannot be accessed once the Work Orders changes to REL status.--is it possible to change the estimated cost after Work order released
    Point2 - If ponit 1  is not possible, an alternative is to have the planned cost of the work order auto fill the estimated cost field if no value is entered when the release flag is executed. (that means can we take planned cost as estimated cost automatically if estimated cost field is  blank)
    our clints want these two functionality. please any body know on thes issues let me know.

  • Transfering the Cost from Cost center to PM Work order

    Hi all,
    We have a scenario.
    we are doing material consumption from storage locaiton to a cost center using 201.
    when the material requirement comes from work order, we are doing reverse consumption posting from Cost center to storage location using 202. and then issue the material to work order using 261.
    Is there any way, that we can move the cost directly from cost center to work order (skipping the storage location in between).

    Hi,
    I guess Initially you are transferring material (201 movement) from Central Warehouse to Cost Center assigned to each department. After that, if you get any reservation from the particular department work order, you are issuing the components to work order by doing 202 & 261 movements.
    You can follow either one way.
    1. Without doing 201 movement type, once you create a order, based on reservation you can do 261 movement to order from central warehouse directly.
    OR
    2. Define storage location, do the stock transfer between storage locations. While creating maintenance order, assign the concern storage location in the order. So from that storage location, you can do 261 movement. Also by Material valuation, you can find the value of materials as well.

    I am aware we can bring in the costs in the work order through Activity types and assigning the costs to the acitvity type.
    Is there anyway we can bring in the actual cost for the work performed by the associate? should we link the work center to HRMS?
    Please advise. I need your valuable input for all the points below.
    Main points that need to be addressed:
    1. Each associate that is capable of confirming hours to a work order needs to be assigned an hourly rate that is reflective of the actual cost for the work performed by this associate. These hours are then tracked through the work order to give a cost for labor assigned to that particular job.
    2.Any materials used in the performance of the required task(s) dictated by the work order will be assigned to that order. These materials can be assigned through SAP purchase requisitions, tool crib spot buys, or procurement with a purchase card.
    3.Standard reports need to be created so we can track the total maintenance costs for any level of the equipment hierarchy as currently set up in SAP. When this report is created it should show the total maintenace costs for all the levels of the equipment hierarchy broken down into labor cost and material cost.  I am using Tcode IW37N and IW40 . Is there any suggestion?

    1) You will need to create Work Centres for your associates and create the Activity Types. You can default the Activity Type for each Work Centre and maintain the rate for the activity via t-code KP26 planning.
    2) Planned and unplanned Purchase Requisitions for Components with category N will debit the order with material costs. But what do you mean by "tool crib spot buys" and "procurement with a purchase card"? You may need to develop a solution to do such postings to the Order (or for purposes of Cost controlling, manual activity allocation similar to confirming work may be desired such as Manual Activity Allocations via CO transactions (KB21N), unless you can cover that with Purchase Requisitions and POs with "F Order" account assignment.
    3) MCI8 Cost Report should be suitable for you, once you set up the Value Categories & Cost Key Figures.

  • Mass Printing of Works Orders and Related Documentation

    Hi everyone,
    I have a very peculiar problem, and any pointers in the right direction will be appreciated.
    If this is not the right forum, please point me into the right direction.
    The problem that I have is this:
    I print multiple Works Orders (Plant Maintenance) at a time.
    Linked to these work orders are Equipments etc. and linked to the Equipments, SAP DMS documents. When priting the Work Orders, the sequence of the related information (e.g. documents) are random, i.e. a user will need to sort the prints to match the Work Order with it's relevant documents.
    Essentially, what I need is: print #1 W/O with attached docs, then print #2 W/O with attached docs, then print #3 W/O with attached docs
    Any ideas at what I need to look at?
    You can imagine if I print 400 works orders and all the documents related to it and it in not collated.

    I am very new to the concept of purchasing and outline agreements and below are some questions. Please help.

    Are they attached to purchase orders? and if so, how do you find out the PO attached to the contract(outline agreement).

    1.For Outline agreement, Tax code is not mandatory. However, you can enter the same by selecting the line item and clicking "Item Details" (F2).
    2. Yes, Contracts(Outline agreements) are attached to Purchase Orders. They are called Release Orders. To create a PO against a Contract, go to ME33K, give the Contrcat no and in the Menu go to Contract->Follow On functions->Release Order.
    You can view the Pos attached to the Contract in ME33K. Select the item in the item overview and then choose Item -> Statistics -> Release documentation.
    For further information on the release order (i.e. on the purchase order), choose Goto -> Release details.
    If you wish the goods receipts and values of invoices received to be displayed for the item, choose Goto -> PO history. All GR and invoice documents are then listed.
