Outlook Calendar & problem with Invitations

Exchange calendar sync fine, but there's an interaction question or problem.
SCENARIO:
--Calendar entry is in Outlook, as "accepted", with this acceptance coming from me on Windows desktop.
--Receive a Duplicate "invitation" on the iPhone.
--On the iPhone, the event invitation shows as "maybe".
--Don't need to accept meeting invitation....
--Using the invitation slide option to "delete" it from the invite inbox, the entry is deleted AND IN THE CALENDAR AND ON THE EXCHANGE SERVER.
If you want to clean out the invitation inbox, how do you do it without deleting the actual calendar entry???

Why is everything so difficult since 'upgrading' to Maverick. I can't sync my Outlook calendar (default) with iCal or my iPad.
Also, I can't send pictures via Dropbox any more. Two basic necessities that I just can't get to work.

Microsoft didn't update Outlook to be Mavericks ready.
I don't really use Dropbox, but if their software doesn't work like it used to, they didn't update it for Mavericks.

  • Calendar problems with Outlook 2007 and plugin

We are trying to roll out outlook 2007 together with outlook connector 7.2u1 at patch level 125361-03. Installation goes ok. But we have a major problem with Calendars.
Having used Sun Mail & Calendar for years our users subscribe to a number of calendars, these show up in outlook in the left hand pane and are selectable to view, which syncs the calendar into outlook - all well and good.
Now the major problem, when syncing another persons calendar to view availability etc, all the reminders get sent to the user viewing the calendar as well as going to the owner - where we have users that subscribe to around 20-30 calendars thats alot of other peoples reminders that pop up on the screen !
    Any help greatfully received.

Outlook 2007 supports reminders in non-default calendars which is why you are now seeing this issue and not with say Outlook 2003.
The bug is fixed in patch 125361-05 - you must log a sun support request to get a copy of the patch.

  • Problems with Outlook Calendar syncing with my Palm TX

I have recently started have problems getting my Palm TX to sync with Outlook 2003 Calendar. I don't have any issues with Contacts or Tasks syncing. In the Hot Sync log, I get the following error code "OLERR:03-0024 (0x8000ffff)". Any ideas what causing this?
Post relates to: Treo 700p (Sprint)
Post relates to: Treo 700p (Sprint)

Relates to Palm TX but probably applies to other Palm's.
I had same Calendar sync problem but with Outlook 2007 (Win XP). One day I could sync, next I could not.  I tried resets, re-installing software, running DbFixIt but nothing worked. I kept getting a log saying "Sync with Calendar had failed."
The solution turned out to be more simple than I imagined.  Just make sure you have the Microsoft 2007 patch installed if you are running Office 2007.
    Here goes...
Right click on the sync symbol on your PC. Left click on "Custom" from the drop-down menu.
Under the Custom menu, select Calendar (Outlook). On the right side click "Change".
Make sure the button is checked for "Syncronize the files".
Next click on Settings. Decide what you prefer, e.g Handheld wins" in the drop-down menu.
You might also decide you want to sync two computers (e.g. a desktop and a laptop). You will see an option to apply that setting on the same Setting menu.
Click OK. Then you MUST make sure the "Set As Default" box is checked for this to take effect in future.
    Finally click "OK".
If you are having the same problem with Contacts, it is the same procedure except you pick Contacts (Outlook) in the Custom menu.
It fixed my Calendar sync problem and everything is back to normal.

  • Outlook Sync Problem with Torch 9800

I have always problems to Sync my 9800 to Outlook, I know this problem is caused because for some reason son calendar entries with Attendees field starting  ""< fails, and I get the message: Error encountered. Error Code 0x80040fb3. Check Documentation,  I normally  delete this Outlook entree and Sync and problem solved, however deleting the entree is not a acceptable solution, when there is several entries with the same problem.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
Some user suggest to delete all calendar entries and make a new Sync, this also works but takes a lot of time, and I wonder if this problem is already solved.
My desktop software is version 6.1.0.35

  • SYNCHING OUTLOOK CALENDAR PROBLEM!

I had no problems synching my Outlook calendar with my boss's Z10 until the latest BlackBerry Link software update (1.1.1.26) (which was a problem in itself: after several fruitless attempts to update, had to uninstall and download from the BlackBerry site).
Now when I do the synch, the Z10 Calendar is rendered completely blank - although the data is obviously somewhere on the Z10 as appointments DO come up under 'forthcoming appointments' or whatever the title is on the Hub.
Any help on this very gratefully received!

Alas, I can't remember and my boss is away with his BlackBerry! Once I get it in my hands again, I'll have a look and see if I can work out what it was I found ....

  • Sync contacts/calendar problem with 160gb classic

I've been unable to successfully sync contacts and calendars with my Windows PC (running XP).
I am using software version 1.1.1 and iTunes version 7.6.0.29.
When I try and sync with my Outlook calendar, the iPod/iTunes appears to be syncing. When I disconnect the iPod and look in the calendar, no events are saved. When trying to sync contacts, I check the "sync contacts from" box and then pull down to "microsoft outlook". As soon as I attempt to hit the "microsoft outlook" pull-down, iTunes freezes. I've not had any issues syncing music, podcasts, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help!

The easy way is just to do a restore. In the future, I wouldn't work on my iTunes library files while the iPod is connected. It seems to me that iTunes already uses a HUGE chunk of system resources, and having the iPod connected just uses even more. Then when you start changing ID3 tags ("Get Info"), it can really cause the system to CHUG. If you don't believe me, try just changing one ID3 tag on a 1.5GB movie file. iTunes practically takes over the computer until it's darned good and ready to do something else.
Or, I'd download [Tagger|http://tvtagger.wordpress.com>, which doesn't use nearly as many resources as iTunes, and allows you to edit many more ID3 fields than iTunes does.

  • Outlook users' problems with Apple mail attachments

Folks on Windows XP using Outlook 2003 are having problems with email from Apple mail. Apple mail is using Windows Friendly Attachments and Rich Text as the settings. Sometimes attachments (Word, Excel, PDF) come in fine with an additional .htm attachment, but the body text of the message is missing. If the Outlook user opens the .htm file, there is the body of the Apple mail. Testing with Plain Text results in the body text appearing fine in Outlook, but the attachment is seen as a *.dat file and of course can't be opened. The Macs are all on OS X Tiger with all OS updates applied. Users of Outlook in other offices don't have this problem, and users of Thunderbird on Windows don't have this problem. Any ideas on what is causing this and how to resolve it? Is there a setting on Outlook that needs to be tweaked? Is there a setting on Apple mail that needs to be tweaked? Apple mail attachments to this Windows office worked fine until a few weeks ago. I do not know what changed between then and now as I am not in charge of the computers at the Windows office. Could a Mac OS update have caused a problem? Something on Windows or Outlook specifically? Thanks for any help you can provide. I've scoured the web and have tried everything to no avail. Zipping attachments, while a workaround, is not a long-term solution. Thanks!

Is this in an environment where an MS Exchange Server is being used? Seeing a file change to .dat would often point to that.
Plain Text should be the plan of action for users of Apple Mail, but something (probably the Exchange Server) is messing that up. See:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/138053
    and also related:
    http://www.pchell.com/support/winmaildat.shtml
Moving to Leopard would probably not solve this -- the administrator of the exchange server must act.
Also the problem with winmail.dat files is known to impact other email clients used even on Windows computers.

  • Outlook Calendar Sync with 9850

Can I sync my 9850 with Outlook Calendar?  I keep getting an "Error was encountered while syncing zero," and then it freezes up.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I find no KB in the public database that exactly matches the error you reported...perhaps your search may be more lucky:
    http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/microsite.do
Failing anything useful there, I suggest this thread:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Cleanly-quot-Starting-Over-quot-with-...
It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
    Good luck!

  • Synchronization of past Outlook Calendar entries with Blackberry Q10

Is there no option to include the synchronization of past calendar entries from my Outllok Calendar? All what I found on Blackberry Link is “Import contacts/ Calendar”. However, it seems that the synchronization applies only to future Outlook Calendar entries. There should be an option allowing to keep the past calendar entries on the BB device. Is there something that I overlook? Thanks for any support.

Hello mokkTA1 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for your question synchronizing your device with your computer.
In BlackBerry Link click on your device and open the settings. Under Synchronization click on Configure next to the Calendar. Under Device Sync Period there is an option to sync All Entries. The default setting chooses the last 30 days and future entries.
After changing the sync period, try the sync and let me know if the older items now import.
    Thanks!

  • Outlook syncing problem with new iTunes update

I'm concerned about syncing my iTouch again, as I have major problems from the last time:
Last week, I updated and synced my iTouch (4th gen) and the synch acted different.  I was faced with "conflicts in Outlook" to review.  I was doing this on the fly, and didn't really think anything of it, even though I hadn't ever been asked this before, so I went ahead without thinking.  Before this, in order for my Contacts folders to not all sync together, I had to make a Contacts folder I named "iTouch Contacts."  When I finished the sync, I noticed that in Outlook, my main Contacts folder now only had about 400 contacts in it (should have about 3000), and my iTouch Contacts folder had over 3000.  Obviously, my iTouch had done something weird and synced differently.  I knew I had some kind of duplicating mess to deal with, but just ended up moving all of the iTouch contacts to the main Contacts folder to deal with it later.  In the next couple of days, I synced it again, and (again) the same "conflicts" and that began to worry me.  When it was all said and done, for some reason, I saw that the iTouch Contacts folder in Outlook had 3000 again.  Without thinking, I was just disgusted and deleted all those contacts.  I later realized that I had deleted the majority of my contacts and that my main Outlook Contacts folder was again down to only 400.  Since most of my contacts are no longer in Outlook, I can't email people from a new email, but must use a previous email and reply to them.  Also, when I look at the contacts on my actual iTouch device, ALL my Outlook Contacts folders are there, even ones I have never had checked to sync with the device.
My question:  How do I dare sync again...without knowing first how to get all my Contacts transferred from my iTouch to Outlook?  And then how do I figure out how to sync the right folders?  The recent update must have had some changes that just took over without asking me!  I had even unchecked the boxes under the Info tab in iTunes on my device, so as to NOT sync contacts, but it just went ahead and did it anyway.
Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi lastskier
Have you browsed through the forums at all? Its worth spending a little while doing so because most problems have been experienced by others and resolved.
My recommended method for installing iTunes upgrades is:
    1. Back up your iTunes library, and by this I mean locate the iTunes folder (usually in My music) and copy all of it and its contents preferably to a removeable hard drive (they are really cheap now). This is your insurance and if all else fails you have not lost your music files.
    2. Download the iTunes programme from the apple website to your pc - DO NOT install online.
    3. Temporarily disable any antivirus/antispy software programmes (locate the icon in the lower right hand side of your desktop and right click - you should get options to disable)
    4. Run the install and reboot.
With any luck you will be up and running and the new iTunes will have found your old library and imported it. You will still have a safe copy on your removeable drive.
Conflicts with AV/antispy programmes are the most common problem with iTunes installs.
If it doesn't work and you are happy you have a back up of your music, you could try uninstalling all iTunes, iPod and QT s/w using "add/remove programs" and then running thru the steps again. However, this time you may have to get your new iTunes to find your music files on your removeable drive by plugging it in to your pc and getting iTunes to search for it.
You will have lost any library settings e.g. playlist info play count etc by going this route, but there are fancier ways of dealing with that. You can open up "my Music" folder and reimport your entire back up copy of the iTunes folder and this will preserve your old settings.
Let me know how you get on.

  • Troubles sincronizing outlook calendar 2007 with DM 5.0.1 in XP PRO SP2

I am having some troubles when i run the sincronize proccess, windows XP closed automatically the desktop manager program because appeared  "windows has been  detected an invalid operation and the program will be close". first of all, the problem occurs in a Lap-top sony VAIO SR190F, if I run the program for fist time everything it is OK, but when I write a date in blackbery or Outlook for a second time and run the process again windows sent the message and the program is closed  and the sincronize process did not finish, This Lap-Top had a vista bussniess installed and I decided formated and install XP Pro SP2, and now the problem still. it is the same, the operating system is not the problem.
I decided to do some test in order to check if the Blackeberry was working fine and the results are here:
I do not have problems If i run the process for "N" times in other Lap wiht XP, I did a test in a toshiba lap with vista home and everything is worked fine. so I think the problem can be a Hardware in my VAIO SR190F, but I am not sure about it,  the problem is very wierd.... i do not what am I do to solve this issue.
Please is very urgent to solve this, if anybody here can help me, I will be apreciated.
    Regards.

    Hi LJ,
It's not just 1.5 that has a problem with SP2, It's Microsoft causing many different problems in the process of removing MSJVM from windows.
It is possible to solve but you need to do a bit of detective work first as there are several states your computer may be in depending on which patches have been installed and which JVM you have.
Firstly try typing "jview" into a command window (Start -> Run then type "cmd").
This will tell you if you have the MSJVM installed (probably not with SP2)
Then type "java -version" and this will tell you which Sun JVM is recognised.
N.B. Make sure "Use Sun Java version xxxx..." is selected in IE. (Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced)
If the Sun JVM is installed and the MS JVM is not, try putting an empty text file into the System32 folder called "msjava.dll" (create a .txt file with nothing in it and then rename it to .dll).
This will fool the computers registry into thinking that the MSJVM is installed but all calls to Java will be passed to the current Sun JVM. I'm not sure why this works but it has solved the problem on many machines.
If this doesn't work, post again and i'll tell you the rest.
    Hope this helps.
    Alastair.

  • Outlook sync problems with iTunes 7.6

After I upgraded to iTunes 7.6 and iPhone 1.1.3, I couldn't sync Outlook (2007)contacts or cals with my iPhone. I reset, uninstalled iTunes/reinstalled, etc, but nothing worked. Then I uninstalled iTunes 7.6 and reinstalled iTunes 7.5.02 (a copy that I found on the web) and everything works well now.
It looks like 7.6 has problems with Outlook syncing. Do not upgrade if this is important to you.

To download iTunes 7.5, go to:
    http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/11/07/direct-download-itunes-75-to-activate-i phone-anywhere-internationally/
You first need to uninstall 7.6 as well as the Apple Mobile Device support program. Then empty your trash and reboot. Install 7.5. When you try to start 7.5 the first time, it will give you an error related to the library file. Search for that file and trash it (I didn't empty the trash at that point to be safe). Try to start 7.5 at that point and it should work fine. It did for me.

  • Outlook 2007 calendar - problems with recurring appointments

In general sync appears to work. However, when amendments are made to recurring appointments I am seeing two types of problem:
    1) If I DELETE one instance of a recurring appointment in Outlook it is not deleted on the iPad.
    2) If I AMEND one instance of a recurring appointment the revised appointment appears, but so does the original one (eg if the appointment was for 10:00-11:00 and I move it to 14:00-15:00 in Outlook for just one week I end up with appontments at both times on the iPad for that day.
In summary the iPad seems to have the simplistic view that recurring appointments will happen EVERY time period and doesn't seem to allow for the fact that there may be individual changes.
Is this a known bug or does this work correctly for other people?
    Nick

We have this issue at our company as well.  We have Exchange 2010 on the back end, execs with latest-model iDevices (iOS 8.1.2, iPhone 6S, iPad Air, etc.)
These execs have several monthly and weekly recurring meetings. Sometimes, they will adjust one meeting up or down a half-hour.
If done on the CEO's iPhone, it does not change his iPad or Outlook. If on his iPad, it doesn't change iPhone or Outlook.
If done via Outlook, either by him or his executive assistant (delegate editor access to calendar), outlook updates but neither iPhone.
Our Exchange admins have verified that they see the updates go from Outlook clients to Exchange and out ActiveSync.
We finally have a SyncDiagnostics profile on the iDevices, but we have to wait for the execs to make meeting changes that don't sync.

  • Sync with outlook (calendar problem)

I used to sync and everything was all right, but now (I don't know after what) everything syncs but my calendar. I use microsoft outlook 2003 and all my app.s are up to date.
Now, contacts are syncing but not calendar. any ideas? I am going insane...
    thx..

At times, Outlook's pst file can become corrupt for one reason or another. This can cause issues when you are syncing to the iPhone. Look at this link from Microsoft in regards to running a check on the pst file to repair any problems you may have.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227
Once you run that, try another sync. If it still won't sync, you may have to go into iTunes preferences and reset the sync history and try again. That will usually correct the problems that can occur. Also, make sure you have all of the pertinent updates to both XP and Office 2003.
