Outlook Integration Toolbar

Dear all,
i have installed the outlook integration add-on on SBO successful. If I open Outlook on the Server where the add-on has been installed, I can see the new toolbar with the new SAP Business One Synchronisation features. Now a user wants to synchronise contacts from Outlook with SBO from a local Outlook Client (not directly on the SBO Server). How can I install the SAP Business One Outlook toolbar on a local Outlook client, where no SAP Business One Client is installed?
Many thanks, david

Hi David,
There is a standalone version of the Outlook Integration client that can be used on a workstation that doesn't have SBO. It should be available in a separate installation folder in the Outlook Integration CD or download (I'm assuming you are running SBO 2005A SP1...this option may not be available in earlier versions).
Kind Regards,
Owen

    Hello,
    try to read belows:
    Microsoft Outlook Integration
    1. You have installed the following on your workstation:
    • Microsoft® Outlook (supported versions: 2000 SR1 (and higher), 2002, 2003)
    • Microsoft® Word (supported versions: 2000 SR1 (and higher), 2002, 2003)

    2. After installing Microsoft Outlook, you have created an e-mail account so that you can send and receive e-mails.
    3. Microsoft Outlook is set as your default mail client. To check your default mail client, on the Microsoft Windows taskbar, choose Start → Settings → Control Panel → Internet Options. On the Programs tab, Microsoft Outlook should be selected in the E-mail field.
    4. You have administrator privileges for the SAP Business One server and have used the SAP Business One Add-On Server Installer to install default snapshot templates on the server as follows:
    a. Put the CD for add-ons in the CD-ROM drive of your SAP Business One server.
    b. Open the SAP Business One add-on server directory. Double-click setup.exe.
    c. In the first window of the InstallShield Wizard, choose Next.
    d. In the Choose Destination Location window, choose Browse to select the installation folder. Then choose Next.
    e. Follow the instructions in the Start Copying Files window.
    f. In the InstallShield Wizard Complete window, choose Finish.
    5. Before you begin add-on registration, you have closed these programs on your workstation:
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
Another is that have you correctly installed standalone installer ?

  • Outlook Integration toolbar does not load.

I have installed the outlook add-on and with one client it cannot load the toolbar within outlook.  The sapb1 menu does not appear nor does the toolbar.  Other clients at same site function properly except one.  All clients have same specs.
Anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem?

    Hi William,
I've had endless problems when it came to outlook, i used one of the older versions of the add on which had the problem of showing once or never and then never again. But if you are using the latest version you can try the following (can also do it on older version)
    1) open outlook, click on the "help",then click on the "About Microsoft Office Outlook", once a window comes up there will be a button that says disabled items, click it and then you usualy see the add on there. Activate it.
if that doesn't help try the following
2)Go to tools->options->other->advanced options->com ada-in's. See if it's there and you can activate it. From there, there is also add in manager.
    3) If still not working, best option is then to uninstall and try again. But do it first from that client.
let me know if this helps.

  • Outlook integration MS outlook tool bar

    Hi
Does any one know how to manually add the outlook integration toolbar into MS outlook.
We have a client who only uses terminal services and the are happy to email out of the terminal service but they only want users to check emails and sync contacts on the local PC.
The problem is there is no SAP on the local PC therefore the outlook integration tool bar in outlook will not appear.
    How can this be added?
    Thanks

    Hello,
Did you try the: 'Outlook Integration Standalone' version on the PC.
This does not need a direct connection with SAP BO.
I have not tried or used it myself so please read the documentation.
    Kind regards
    Henk Tjassing

  • Outlook Integration w/o the client

I have a client that run their B1 clients on a terminal server but they'd like to run Outlook Integration locally on their PCs where they use Outlook.  I installed the OI toolbar on one of their PCs but when I try to login it gives an error saying that it can't find the database list.  When I install the B1 client locally the OI toolbar connects fine.  We're looking to see if we can get the OI toolbar working without having to install the client on all the PCs.  Does anyone know if it's possible to do that?

Sorry, I just reread my post and I think that I didn't make clear that we're using the Outlook Integration Stand Alone client.  I was under the impression that the purpose of the standalone client was that it didn't require the B1 fat client to be installed with it.  I see a couple of official post here stating just that.  I also see a couple of other posts from people in the same situation that I'm in now, same error, but I don't see any solutions in those threads...

  • Skype 6.1 for Windows Desktop with Outlook Integra...

Introducing Skype 6.1 for Windows, now with Outlook integration and a visual update to the toolbar. This is an exciting update because the time spent on email by many people is still significant. And if you're like many of us who work at Skype, we spend lots of time toggling between our email and Skype desktop clients. Now it's really convenient to send a Skype instant message, start a free Skype to Skype call, or make a call to any mobile or landline - all within Outlook.
NB: The Outlook integration does not work with the Outlook 2013 preview version. You need to either use Outlook 2010 or upgrade to the final Outlook 2013 once that is available.
More details showing the feature in use in several screenshots can be found in our Skype news blog article.
We'd love to hear about your experience trying it out. As we also did some minor tweaks and improvements and are happy to hear your feedback about this update by posting here on the Skype Community.

  • MS Outlook 2007 and SBO outlook integration OK?

I have a client that has MS outlook 2007 installed on some client machines and would like the SBO integration as well, has anyone done this yet and have there been any issues?
    Thanks! Amy

    Hi Amy,
What version of SBO are you running? We've had problems with Outlook 2007 and Outlook Integration (eg getting the OI toolbar to display properly) when running SBO 2007A.
You can get more details by logging your question with SAP Support but, for what it's worth, my recommendation is avoid it at the moment if you can.
    Kind Regards,

  • Cannot send alert from SAP by Outlook integration

    Dear All,
We are on SAP8.8. When we create an Alert for a user query, we want to send the report by e mail as well.
We can receive the report by message in SAP. We have no error message in SAP to say send out failed.
But we didn't receive anything from SAP for the report.
I tried to sent out email from SAP. I click the icon then sent out e mail. It can send out for me. So the outlook integration add-on should be fine. Is there anywhere we should check to see if the e mail has been sent out?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    hi,
In Meassges/Alert overview, under sent messages tab,you can see messages which is sent from your system or if you are not able to send email,Goto administration->addons->Outlook integration->Default settings...you check the check box thats it.

  • Jabber 9.2.1 outlook integration.

    Hi,
Just rolled out jabber 9.2.1 to a few users and we are noticing a few problems.
    1. We are no longer able to search the outlook local address book.
On the connection status it shows connection error, address outlook, protocol MAPI, error COM0x80070002.
    2. The calendar integration is not working. We have the Outlook option ticked, but nothing shows up on the calendar tab.
    3. Our Helpdesk operative had a direct number and a number in a hunt group for helpdesk calls. The popup no longer works for the huntgroup calls. I have seen a few reports of this.
Im also looking at getting video working. We didnt have this setup before, but I thought I would try it. i have the MSI installed and a working webcam attached, but the desktop video connection status shows unavailable, reason unknown.
Other than that its gone well
    Steve.

    ****Solved****
I have found that the problem with Outlook integration occured when the new client was upgraded from 9.1
If I uninstall the old client first and then delete the 'c:\documents and settings\userid\application data\Ciso' folder, the new install works OK.
    Steve.

  • MS Outlook Integration with SAP

    Hi,
I have few questions on outlook integration ( CRM 4.0) which is as follows.
    1) Can we integrate Email by implementing Outlook integration in CRM 4.0? I heard that we can only integrate activities and tasks with SAP and MS outlook
    2) When we create contact information in the account screen in CRM PCUI under relationship tab, the attributes like email id, mobile number, fax number, designation and department gets stores in relationship pop up in CRM GUI. Can I transfer these data (maintained in relationship pop-up in GUI) to MS outlook? I heard it has to be maintained in contact master data and not in relationship pop-up.
    3) When a Contact Person is exchanged from CRM to Groupware having the relationship “Is Contact Person For” to an Organization in CRM, the name of the Company is displayed in Outlook Contact data. Also there is an option to display the address of the organization in the contact person’s communication fields. If the name of the Organization is changed or address data or communication fields are changed at a later point in time in CRM the updated name or address of the Company is not reflected in groupware contact for this Contact person. Is this True?
    4) If a Meeting request is created in Groupware with a Contact Person as invitee, his organization is NOT determined and added to the Business Activity.
E.g. it is NOT possible to determine the account of the contact person and add this account as the Activity Partner in the Business Activity. Is this True?
    Points will be rewarded****************

    Hi
    1) Unread eMails are shown in the inbox. In standard nothing more, but you can read the inbox entries and from there on build your own functionality to create an activity from there (pretty difficult). Other than that, only activities and tasks are integrated.
    2) It can be done. A customer of mine did it together with SAP, but they both together spend some 100 days into this solution - obviously not a standard solution.
    3) Yes, it is not updated as the shown adress is only inherited and does not belong to the CP. The CP is only updated if its own CRM data is changed.
    4) This is not a standard functionality of the groupware integration. However you could customize a reverse partner determination from contact person to its BP and put that into the business partner. I would try and trigger it OnSave, otherwise you need to go into the BAPI_Order_Save and program it yourself.
    Hope this helps,
    Kai

  • Oracle CRM On Demand Outlook Integration - Add-in shows inactive

I have followed the steps given in the Oracle CRM On Demand->MySetup.
After installing the OEI, the dll file is registered.
In MS outlook->Tools->Trust Center->Add-ins. The Siebel Outlook Integration Add-ins is shown in the "Inactive Application Add-ins".
How can this be enabled/Active so that Oracle CRM On Demand application is integrated with Microsoft Outlook?
    kindly advice.

Finally found a solution for this problem:
In MS Outlook 2007, navigate to Tools->Trust Center->Macro Security-> Select option "Warnings for all macros".
Restart MS Outlook and the Oracle CRM email Integration buttons will appear..
    Hope this helps..

  • Attachments in Outlook Integration

    Hello experts,
I have troubles enclosing attachments using Outlook Integration. A customer wants to add more attachments to a mail, for example a Purchase Order (PDF) and a logo (PNG, GIF etc.).
When a new purchase order is saved and I click the mail button, it perfectly inserts the attachment PDF. After that I go to the third tab (Attachments) and press "Search". I search for a logo (in an other folder then the one defined at attachments in the general settings) and attach it, so far still no problems. Then it is time to send the mail: It sends the mail, but it doesn't add the logo in the mail.
I tested it again and then added a second attachment from the attachments folder and then it does work. I did test this on a client and the customers server aswell.
At my own computer and from a couple of collegues it is possible to add more attachments even from different folders.
Is this problem familiar to any one? And does anybody know how to solve this issue?
    Looking forward for your replies,
    Kind regards,
