Outlook plugin not recognising room

I've got a server installation of Connect 6 running at my
University, but for some reason the Outlook plugin does not work. I
give it some valid credentials yet it rejects them.
We have recently moved to Exchange - would this affect it?
Anyone had any similar issues? I've used the Outlook plugin fine
with external rooms, but my own rooms, hosted within the Uni, don't
work!

We are having the same issues, though we are using the hosted
service verison. We have tried the "/" trick and added the user to
"Meeting Hosts" group. Still not working. I believe it may be
related to a network firewall issue, but do not see any assistance
in the documentation. Other testing has included moving a laptop
off the corporate network and onto the "Internet" (via a Sprint
broadband card). When the process is started (again) to configure
the plug-in, the symptoms change, i.e. the process appears to move
farther, but a new error is returned "The meeting room you
specified is incorrect. Please enter a different meeting room".
When on the corporate network, the error is (all things the same --
same meeting room/user name/password) is: "Login, password and
meeting room URL could not be validated. Please make sure you
entered the correct information."
Any ideas and/or would support be able to provide more
details about how this mechanism actually works?

  • Room finder is empty in Outlook - but not in OWA ?

     I have this problem - exactly as asked here:

     They kind of referer to this site. Then i have been looking and searching here - and didnt really come up with anything. So - therefor this post :)
    I have this setup:
     Exchange 2013, SP1 - CU5
     Mostly Windows 7 with Office 2013 - about 200 clients - (also a citrix farm with same version) :  2013 Pro Plus (15.0.4693.1000)
    Problem:
     For some reason, when i want to use the room finder, when creating a new meeting - my room finder justs says "None"
     It works fine with OWA.
    What i have done:
     It was created with powershell as following (The room list):
    New-DistributionGroup -Name RoomsHQ -DisplayName "Rooms HQ" -PrimarySmtpAddress
    RoomsHQ@*********.com –RoomList
    and then added the rooms:
    Add-DistributionGroupMember -Identity RoomsHQ -Member RoomBlue
    Add-DistributionGroupMember -Identity RoomsHQ -Member RoomRed
    and so on...
    All the rooms are of the type: Room
    Im pretty confident its a client problem since its working in OWA. The Client also lists all the rooms when i want to add them manually (clicking Rooms... next to the location field) - so outlook CAN see the rooms.
    Also - There has been no difference running Cached mode or not.
    I dont know where to look next :) Hope one of you bright minds can help me in the right direction :)

    Since OWA works fine, I believe the issue should be related to Outlook autodiscover and EWS. You can check the settings by the following steps on an problematic Outlook
    client:
    a. While Outlook is running, click the CTRL key and then right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and then select “Test Email Autoconfiguration”.
    b. Confirm that your email address is in the address field, uncheck “Use Guessmart” and “secure Guessmart authentication” boxes. Then click the “Test” button.

  • My Time Machine external hard drive is not recognised anymore under 10.9.1

    Hi,
    I am running 10.9.1 on my MBP13" mid 2010.
    I plugged in my external hard drive (Western Digital Elements 500GB portable drive) and it is no longer recognised.
    This has been going on for a couple of weeks.
    TM says its not connected.
    Icon not on desktop
    not seen in disk utilities.
    I have tried it on another machine (iMac 2006 10.6) and it is not recognised either.
    Tried rebooting with the drive plugged in and without.
    attempted to install WD Quick Formatter and this saw the drive but was unable to reformat as it said that it was 'in use'
    I thought that this might be TM so I disassociated it from TM - Still No Go.
    Any Ideas appreciated.

    You don't have to do anything.
    When Time Machine is out of room, it will automatically delete the oldest backup(s) to make room for new ones. If you have the +Notify after old backups are deleted+ box checked in Time Machine Preferences > Options, you'll see the message in the blue box in #C4 of [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
    If you do want to manually delete some backups, you can do that, but only via Time Machine. See #12 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

  • Acrobat not recognising MS word

    Morning All,
    My first post here so apologies if its in the wrong place or been done to death. I am having issues with Acrobat XI Standard and its interaction with MS Office 2013 (MS WIndows 7, 64bit).
    I can print to a .pdf from within the word (or Office) file however acrobat is not recognising the files from within acrobat. It is also not allowing me to convert or combine when right clicking on the file from Windows Explorer.
    I had the issue earlier on XI Pro with Office 2010 on a previous computer and Adobe were pretty useless in trouble shooting. The only way I could get it to work was to fully operate the machine through the hidden Windows Admin mode. Due to the security protocols with my new employers, I am not able to do this so must find a fix...

    No, .txt and .jpeg files work fine in all respects.
    Take a look at the below for a little more info. No Office files are listed at all.

  • Outlook 2007 Conduits / Barracuda Outlook Plugin - Trouble Report and Workaround

    This is a trouble report and workaround.
    My employer uses a Barracuda spam firewall.  They encourage users, who have Outlook 2007, to install the Outlook plugin.  The plugin makes a couple of icons on the Outlook toolbar that are useful for improving the spam filtering capability of Outlook.  
    Unfortunately, shortly after I installed the Barracuda plugin, Hotsync with my Palm Centro stopped working right.  
    There is a conflict between Palm's Outlook 2007 Conduits and the Barracuda plugin for Outlook.  This prevents the Calendar from synching my Centro.  (The other Outlook components I have synched, Memos and Contacts, might still synch).  
    As a workaround, I disabled the Barracuda plugin, and Hotsync worked correctly.
    It is possible to leave the Barracuda plugin enabled most of the time, but disable the plugin right before you Hotsync, then re-enable.  It's not too onerous, because most users only synch their Palms once or twice a day.
    It's not idea, but this is the best workaround I have found for Palm users who have Outlook 2007 and would like to use the Barracuda plugin.

    Do you mean the Oulook will be crashed if all users log on to these 3 problematic clients to configurate their own Windows profiles and Outlook profiles? However, if uses log on to another client, it works?
    Seems like this is an Outlook client issue, if possible, please reinstall OS for one client computer to test.

  • Why does Satellite L300-10Q not recognise a wireless lan

    This new laptop computer is working ok on a wired LAN but does not recognise a Wireless Lan. Got message that no networks can be found. In the same room with another Toshiba Laptop the wireless LAN is found and has a good signal strength.
    The switch for wireless LAN is turned on and "antenna" pictogram led is burning red.
    Seems that it is not configurated for detection. Any Idea how to solve this?

    Thanks for your reaction. But on the other working laptop several wireless access points can be "seen" in the area and on this laptop none. When wanting to contact a LAN it constantly refers to not a network cable connected and no wireless LAN access points can be seen unfortunately.
    The system it works on for both laptops is Vista Home edition premium. Checked if the system was not set on "off line" working; what else can be checked to know that automatic detection is set and that the system is looking for the wireless points ?

  • Indesign server not recognising fonts.

    Hi Experts,
    We are generating pdf by running Indesign client plugin on indesign server.
    We are able to generate the pdf but correct font is not recognised.
    We have placed font in
    c:\programe files\adobe\indesign cs5 server\fonts\avery.lnk
    the avery.lnk pointing to one of our shared folder placed on other IP adress machine.
    whereas if we place font files directly to
    "c:\program files\adobe\indesign cs5 server\fonts"  fonts are recognised, but not from avery.lnk.
    We checked that avery.lnk is correctly pointing to our repository where we have kept out fonts.
    I will be highly thankful for any reply.

    Are you sure you haven't converted everything to outlines?
    Not sure what else you could try apart from the standard trashing your prefs or cleaning by exporting but if those don't work post this question on the Indesign forum, you'll get far more people answering there.

  • Outlook plugin issues

    We are having major issues with the outlook plugin... OutlookDesktopFlag_6.5.0_003.msi
    All issues are reported by Office 2003 users.
    We use a CRM program called Touche, which is re-branded SolvIt from Prosper Business Solutions (sold as Touche by Harland Financial Systems). This program pulls data from outlook into it's screen and I think that's where the issue is.
    On many of these PC's when they sign into Touche, they get a Runtime error 216 at 65404AEC. They click OK and then a Microsoft Outlook dialog box comes up saying that there was an issue loading the IronPort postx add-in and try detect & repair in the help menu.
    1. Detect & Repair in the help menu takes a long time and does not fix the issue.
    2. Re-running OutlookDesktopFlag_6.5.0_003.msi and selecting repair does not fix the issue.
    3. Going into Outlook options and disabling the plugin DOES fix the issue.
    Note, opening outlook by itself does not always invoke the issue.
    Anyone have experience with the Outlook Desktop flag?
    I also uninstalled it from a machine and the "Send Secure" button still exists in his compose e-mail screen, although pushing it does not do anything.

    I think you best open a support case with Ironport and the supplier of your CRM. This looks like the two Outlook add-ons are biting each others ass.
    Since you have to deal with two independent sofware vendors that have written extra software for a MS product (Outlook) I think this can cause you a hard time getting a solution.

  • Pse10 will not recognise Epson V750 Pro scanner in Mac 10.7.2

    Hi all
    I'm having trouble getting my Pse10 Organiser to recognise my Epson V750 Pro scanner with Mac 10.7.2 .  In <get pctures from > it goes straight from 
    < cameras or card readers > to < files or folders > with no scanner option in between.
    I have tried installing Twain plugin  in every concievable location but the message is always the same < Photoshop does not recognise this type of file > . On opening Pse10 it flashes during initialising < building Twain menu items. Epson V750 Pro >  so it must almost be correctly installed.   In the hard drive the Twain plugin is described as  <alias >.
    I have tried :   applications/Pse10/support files/optional plugins/import modules/ = Twain .   &:  support files/plugins/import modules/ = Twain and  Anti-Ali...T.plugin .  The scanner works perfectly as a copier on the Mac when not in Photoshop so the driver is OK and up to date . The problem is between Mac & Photoshop, this is a purchased DVD installation which I have uninstalled-re-installed several times. The technicians at Adobe suggested trying downloading Trial Pse10 to check if my disc is off but on downloading the Trial it gets stuck every time  in  < extracting > after ten hous of which I give up .
    Someone suggested that this may be a 32 bit / 64 bit problem, I just do not know.
    Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.

    There is no scanning into organizer on a mac, as explained before in your other thread. Installing the plug-in only enables scanning into editor (in windows, organizer scanning is via WIA only, and there's no WIA on a mac).
    If you see alias, you did not move the plug-in, you made an alias for it. You must move the actual plug-in, not make an alias. Just drag it over without pressing any other keys.
    This will not work unless your scanner already works with OS X scanning. When it's connected and you open Preview and go to File>Import from Scanner, do you see your scanner listed?

    Thanks Faisal for your reply. I tried Ctrl+0 (zero) but no difference. I think Ctrl+0 is for clearing the zoom in/out effect in web pages. While this tool is a windows (desktop) application.
    Please note that I have taken the snap (attached in original post) after maximizing the
    Update Assembly dialog (by double clicking the title bar area.
    The version of the Plugin Registration Tool is 6.1.1.1143 64bit. If you can check your Plugin Registration Tool version and post the snapshot as well?

    well...i go only to the site "Test it here: http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml". After this i was able to go to a site with the title "Java Downloads for All Operating Systems" and here you download your JRE for your OS. For XP or Win 7 it was a java 6 update 29-b11. The file to install is named '''jxpiinstall.exe'''. After install an restart you go again to [http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml testvm.xml] and see that the java plugin works fine.... (see the screenshot)...
