Surely I agree with Pavan here that I amnot able to "exactl" understand the need or question. But I guess you want a daily report sort of thing. Make up a shell script and then configure it with DBMS_SCHEDULER.We don't know that youhave 10g or not but still I am just taking a guess that you have. Than using UTL_FILE ,maintain the o/s file the way you want.

Make sure that the backup file with the bookmarks has the correct file extension: .html for a HTML backup and .json for a JSON backup. 
You can check that via the right-click context menu of that file and open the Properties. 
If you are not sure about the file type then you can open the file in Firefox via "File > Open File" 
A JSON backup will show as one long text line without line breaks and a HTML backup as a web page with clickable links. 
A JSON backup starts with: {"title":"","id":1,"dateAdded": 
An HTML backup starts with: <nowiki><!DOCTYPE NETSCAPE-Bookmark-file-1></nowiki>
You may need to add quotes ("") around the name to rename the file to the correct file extension.

You can edit with wordpad, or notepad++, but not with notepad,
because there is one word per line and you will not see that in notepad after Firefox has updated it.  Update after closing Firefox.
I will have to change my Spell Check documentation to not suggest notepad

90% of pictures disappeared after new program. Time machine folders mostly empty. Downloaded my Carbonite file. Can I restore directly from this file or do I have to drag and drop 20,000 pix?

90% of pictures disappeared after adding Maverick. My Time Machine folders were in the right order but mostly empty so useless for restore. Repair and rebuild attempts were not effective. Downloaded my Carbonite file which is now sitting on my desktop. Is there any way to use the restore command to rebuild my portfolio or do I have to drag & drop approx 20,000 pictures? Can album groupings and faces be retained?

Do you still have the original library that was present at the time you upgraded to Mavericks? If so apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Output from online file conversion is unreadable?

Have tried both .doc and .rtf outputs. Both are unintelligible. Anyone help?

How about the exact steps you used along the way (including the PDF creation and the URL)? That way we can try to reproduce your steps or see where one may have gone wrong. There are just too many possibilities to say way the problem is at this point.

What vector card is this?
There are a huge amount of Knowledge base articles that you can access from www.ni.com. Simply go to the website and do a search on dll, etc.
There are also a lot of example problems shipped with LabVIEW that will be very helpful for you to learn from and to modify to meet your needs. Go to File»Find Example ....
There are LabVIEW classes taught locally as well that are very helpful. If you're interested I can arrange for you to receive an email with info about it.

Extracting videos from Captivate file

A while a go I was using one of the earlier versions of Captivate that was around in 2010. I made a long recording which resulted in 2GB worth of data packed into an application type file that Capt. can produce.
The problem is that when ever I try and open this huge recording, the splash screen appears then soon results in: Out of memory while expanding stream.
Is there any way I can EXTRACT the video material from this file?

Can you tell me the Exact version of Adobe Captivate (Go to Help > About Adobe Captivate).
Where have you saved your output file, Is it on some sort of network location?
You have mentioned earlier that you Published it as a .exe , But if you Publish it as a .exe there is only one file that is created in the ouput folder.
But there are other files as well in the same folder , so did you tried to extract the content of exe file from ay other tool.

How do I copy and paste a shape (or layer) from one file to another keeping all of its attributes?

Our department currently uses MS Paint to place varied colored boxes for callouts on top of screen figures used in our documentation. As you know, MS Paint is not a robust image editing application, and we are frustrated at its limitations (especially not having a "non-destructive" edit capability). Consequently, we are evaluating a trial version of PS to see how a workflow could be developed that would allow the department to use callout boxes "stored" in a PS file that could be applied in an easy, consistent manner to our screen figures (but also keep each callout box editable) using PS.
Consequently, in PS using the shape tool, I created a file with our colored boxes for callouts, each on its own layer. Now I am trying to determine how you copy and paste a box (or layer) from this file to a "working" file (one containing a screen figure), while keeping all of its attributes (color, line weight, being editable, etc.). I can't seem to find an option to do this. Is there? If not, is there another workflow in PS that you can recommend for this type of procedure?

P.S. How do you drag and drop a layer? I tried dragging a layer to the other open image, but nothing happened. Do you have to hold down a specific key for this (I'm using Windows)?

How to read data from a file

I have a file that looks like this with out the *'s
lastName firstName number
lastName firstName number2
lastName firstName number3
lastname = (string) an actual last name like smith same for first name
number = an actual number (int) like 90 or 120
I need to read the number from this file and store it in an array. I have some code that I started, but im not sure what to do next. Please help!

The >> operator reads a value corresponding to the target type. For example, to read an integer value, read it into an int variable (or long or long long, depending on the integer range).
The >> operator skips white space (blanks, tabs, newlines) and then reads characters corresponding to the target type: digits for an integer value, for example. It stops at the first character that cannot be in the representation of the type. If no characters are read, the stream goes into an error state, and further I/O requests are ignored until you clear the stream state.
You can read each group of data like this:

dataFile >> first >> last >> number;If the data doesn't have the right characteristics, the stream will go into an error state, which you can detect by testing the stream directly:
if( dataFile ) ...Using EOF as the loop control is not a good idea, since if there is an error, the loop will never terminate. You can do something like this:

} Reading past EOF puts the stream in an error state, so checking the stream state before saving the data and in the loop control will do the trick.
You can use a char array instead of a string for the names, but then you have to add extra testing to be sure you don't overflow the array, and deal with the extra characters you don't read. Strings will expand as needed. The string is declared as a local variable in the loop, so it gets re-initialized each time through; you don't need to write code to reset it.
My example loop is not robust in the face of errors. Stream I/O works fine when you know the input data is well-formed. It is not suited to input that can be wrong, such as data typed from the terminal, because it is not easy to validate the input and recover from errors.

Path Problem: Can't Load Database Settings From A File

I am writing a swing application with the following functionality: 
(1) There is a base class that supports things like changing the look and feel – this is done via a JDialog that loads all the installed lafs from which the user selects a choice. 
(2) Enables the user to set/change the physical database properties – location, password usernames and the like. - 
The idea is that when the application starts up for the first time the user will be asked to provide the database settings and then they will be stored in a file and then every time the application starts the settings will be loaded from this file. This works out fine!!!!!!!!! 
 
Now here is the problem: 
All the above is supported by an abstract class that extends JFrame (I’ve put abstract after testing) - MySuperFrame. After testing, I packaged this class together with other utility classes into a jar file. 
So my application which inherits from MySuperFrame fails on start-up with an exception that the database settings file cannot be found – And I know that it is in the jar file.

This is the structure of my project: 
There is the src and the bin directories and then there is an external folder (not a package inside these two folders) called files (this is where my database settings file is stored). 
How do I solve this problem?

Calling javascript function from *.js file in Acrobat plug-in

I had already found that 'AFExecuteThisScript' procedure but ity seems that it execute a script passed in param as a string. What about if I want to execute an external '.js' file ?
Are there any other function that can do that? What about parsing whole *.js file as a string?
Do you have any idea or code exaple how to do it?

How to create Inbound Idoc from XML file-Need help urgently

Hi,
can any one tell how to create inbound Idoc from XML file.
we have xml file in application server Ex. /usr/INT/SMS/PAYTEXT.xml' we want to generate inbound idoc from this file.we are successfully able to generate outbound XML file from outbound Idoc by using the XML port. But not able to generate idoc from XML file by using we19 or we16.
Please let me know the process to trigger inbound Idoc with out using XI and any other components.

My question is the same really .. I am testing with WE19 and it seems SAP cannot accept an XML inbound file as standard.
I see lots of mention of using a Function Module.
Am I correct in saying therefore that ABAP development is required to create a program to run the FM and process the idoc?
Or is there something tht can be done with Standard SAP?

How to handle multiple threads to read one line from a file each time?

Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm new to multiple threads java programming. What I want to do is as following:
1. I'm writing a program to read one line of text from a very large file, and then do some process on this one line of text, then read the next line of text from this file, then process on this line of text, ...... When reach the end of the file, close the file.
This is a single thread scenario.
2. To fullly untilized computer resource, I want to create multiple threads to process this large file.
One thing is very important is that each line of text in the large file has to be read sequentially. This means that the first line of text in the large file is read first, then the second line, then the third line ......
My question is that if I create multiple threads to process the same file, how can I make sure that different threads will read the line of text from the same file sequentially?
I don't have enough experience on java multiple threads programming, so it will be very appreaciated if you can help me on this as soon as you are available.

A better solutoin would be to have a single thread that reads each line an puts it into a queue, and then multiple threads reading from the queue to process these lines.
This will only be effective if the amount of processing to be done on each line is very large compared to how long it takes to read the line, or if you have more than one CPU on your machine.
