Output of foreach loop is blank

Hi all,
I've been PowerShelling for about a month or two now and picked up a decent amount of knowledge (and enjoying how useful PS is!). However, a script I am writing has me completely stumped.
The script prompts the user for a list of usernames which will be converted to their display name. The code is below:
$multiLineText = Read-MultiLineInputBoxDialog -Message "Please enter the login names you wish to convert.`nSeperate each user on a different line." -WindowTitle "Users" -DefaultText "Text here..."
if ($multiLineText -eq $null) { Write-Host "Script Aborted" -f red; write-host "Press any key to exit..." -nonewline; $x = $host.UI.RawUI.ReadKey("NoEcho,IncludeKeyUp"); exit }
else { foreach ($user in $multiLineText) { Get-ADUser -LDAPFilter "(samaccountname=$user)" -Property displayname | Select-Object -Property samaccountname,displayname } }
Now the problem is, if I enter just 1 username in to the dialog (eg. admin1), then the output works:
samaccountname displayname
admin1 Administrator 1
However, if I add 2 or more names to the list, nothing happens, the script continues but no visible output like above is displayed, yet the $multiLineText variable shows all names entered in the dialog.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

Hi IceWolf,
I found this function, which should be the script you are using:
PowerShell Multi-Line Input Box Dialog, Open File Dialog, Folder
Browser Dialog, Input Box, and Message Box
And this screen below shows the variable "$multipleLineText" is a single string:
As mjolinor suggested, Please try to use:
