Over ride job ticket at job submission (New user)

Hi!I'm new to forum and new to FFC as well so please bear with me. Our FFC was just updated to version 4.0.2.0 [2015.05.18 9865 01.04]After that I don't have an option to choose over ride job ticket and give order quantity along with paper stock name. Any idea what is going on? Is there some way to turn it on again or was it removed in new version?

The option has moved but it is still there. You can see it at the bottom of the job submission UI If you are not seeing the same options I would check the server and client versions in the About FreeFlow Core screen If the version numbers do not match then flush the browser cache and restart your browser. Also, as you may have noticed above, you now have the option to select a printer destination and to define all job ticketing during upload.That new option will make job ticketing both more complete and easier (people have a hard time typing in the exact stock name in the override).

  • Get rid of registration screen for all new users...

    I have installed iWork 09 through ARD to the 20 computers in the lab. The issue is that whenever a new user logs in, it continues to ask to register. We have a lot of young students who cannot simply click 'register' later. Is there a way to disable this?
    Thanks.

    I assumes that this kind of problem must be treated with the Educational department.
    As a single user I don't know the way multiple license behave.

  • 10.6 server on w2k AD domain, trouble making new user home folders

    i recently starting working as a public school which has over 800 macs, both intel and ppc, laptops and desktops. there are also 300 windows machines as well. my job is to create the new user accounts for the students and staff as well as perform routine maintenance on the computers/servers. there are 3 xserves (intel) running 10.6.8 and 3 windows boxes running 2000 server. (i know thats old but it was top of the line when the building was build in 2002) the windows machines perform the user authentication via active directory and the xserves house the home folders stored on an xserve raid. the problem i am having it that i cannot create the new home folders for the incoming students on the xserve. the accounts are created in AD with no problems, and everything points to where it should be. however, when i try to manually create them (either by createhomedir in terminal, or by a script one of the previous system admins made) nothing happens. both active directory and open directory are up and running and all the servers seem to be talking to each other. on a side note, if i deleted an existing home folder and than ran the terminal command, it creates it perfectly. in one last attempt i re-bound all the mac servers to the AD and now it wont even let me re-create an existing home folder. anyone have any thoughts or ideas?? i have about a month left to get this fixed and all the computers imaged with the new config. i'd rather not have to re-build the AD domain but if it comes down to it, i may not have any choice.

    sorry i havent posted back sooner. i tried server cleanup and it did seem to fix other minor issues with the server, and it mapped the correct path to the user home folders. but it won't let me fix the permissions. when a student logs in to a client machine their home folder window opens up and all the folders are there but it won't let you open them stating that "you do not have the correct permissions" i ran fix permissions in server cleanup a few times, but it didnt fix the situation. also, i noticed that when i tell SC to look at the active directory domain, i get an error window and it stops loading users after the C's (alphabetical by last name) could this be because the AD domain is windows 2000 server? i just got 2 win2003 server machines freed up that i could migrate the AD domain to. that might fix some issues.

  • After creating a new user account, how do I move my files into the new user?

    I have an issue where my 'Desktop/Screensaver' prefs seem to be corrupt somehow. When I click on that icon in System Preferences, it stalls and I get the spinning ball, thus resulting in a force quit. After reading a Mac Format magazine where someone wrote in with a similar issue, they said to trash various prefs (did that and made no difference) and if that didn't work, try creating a New User account (therefore creating brand new system prefs) and move your stuff over.
    Well, I've created the New User account, but I can't figure out how to move/copy my stuff into the user folders. After copying and attempting to move stuff in, I see folders with a red circle with a white line through it (like a 'no entry' sign).
    Any clue as to how this can be done? All I'm trying to do is to reinstate the system prefs so they are not corrupt anymore on my log-in.

    No. Not the main Library folder. Make absolutely sure you are in the Home Library folder and not the main Library folder.
    Your Home Library folder is hidden in Lion. To get to it, in the Finder menu, select GO and hold the option key down. Select Library in the submenu. The Finder window will open in your Home Library. This is where your user prefs are stored.
    Once there, you will see the Preferences folder. Open it up, select all items within it and move them to the trash. You will need to restart in order for the new Finder preferences to be recreated.
    Once you restart, then you will be back to the default preferences to the system and all applications. And yes, it will affect all settings including your Dock, just as logging into a new user. You will have to reset everything there also.
    If you wish to do a selective method, instead of deleting all preferences, try deleting the one associated with your problem. Screen saver problems should be affected by the system preferences, so try deleting this:
    com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    com.apple.systempreferences.plist.lockfile
    Note that when you delete system file preferences, a restart will be required. For applications, just quit the application before trashing preference files.

  • Server 2012 Essentials - very slow to add new user

    Eight month old Dell PowerEdge R320 rackmount server, running Windows Server 2012 Essentials. XEON E5-2400 processor, 16 GB RAM, 6 TB of SATA disks( RAID-1).  "Shared resources' on this server are not all that extensive since there are only six
    'shared folders' on this server ... And for certain I am NOT any sort of 'guru' as it would pertain to Windows Server 2012 Essentials, but it seems to me that the fact it takes over 35 minutes to add a single
    new user to this server is a bit "unusual", to say the least... As I mentioned, there are only six "shared resource" folders on this server being served from the "DATA" disk that users can access with R/W rights, and all other
    resources on this server are marked as 'no access' for our twelve (now thirteen) users.  Does this not seem to be an inordinately long time to add a single new user..?  I have just checked and found a few updates (maybe five) that were 'pending'
    a reboot (which it is doing now, as I write this), and I will try adding a new user as a 'test' after this reboot, but - am I wrong?  Doesn't this seem to be an extremely long time just to add a single new user..?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your post.
    Please wait for the update installed and reboot, then try to add user to check the result.
    Adding a new user did not need much time generally.

  • Script for job ticket

    Hi All,
    I working on a script related to a job ticket. Standard print program is RIPRJT00 and standard script is u2018PM_COMMONu2019.
    I need to add certain fields to the layout, so i am creating a new Z script and copying print program and modifying it.
    In that I need to retrieve Functional  location description, which can be obtained from structure RIOT (RIOT-PLTXT).
    So, can anybody guide me how ti retrieve this value at runtime as it is a structure?
    Thanks,
    Archana

    SAP best practice is to leave the driver program AS IT IS.  Copy the SAPScript, modify/enhance it with DEFINE, PERFORM, etc.  If you follow this practice, youl could save yourself some time and difficulty.
    Go to SE11, enter the field name PLTXT and perform a where used.  You'll probably find that it's in transparent table IFLOTX.

    hi
    Role of a mySAP Functional Consultant
    What are the differences between a functional and business consultant?
    The difference between Functional consultant and Business consultant are as follows:
    1) A funcitonal consultant is able to configure the system unlike business consultant.
    2) Functional consultant know more about business process unlike Business consultant.
    3) A business consultant will bring business process knowledge and provide it to functional consultant who in turn used this knowledge to configure the system.
    4) Functional consultant has more configuration knolwledge then Business consultant.
    The responsibilities of a support consultant are:
    - Primarily responsible for Handling tickets and application support to the endusers
    - When an issue comes diagnose, analyse and solve the issue
    - Responsible for any enhancements
    - Writing functional specs and interacting with Abapers to develop any user exits
    - Training the end users and preparing end user training material
    For those who wished to know the role of a functional consultant.  Below is one view:
    A functional consultant evaluates the demands in talking with the customer's representatives, transforms the essence into an abstract and algorithmic business model. Hence, he identifies the use cases and transforms them into logical and technical views.
    Then the main task starts: customizing the respective business area and making sure the system reacts in the manner according to the constraints of the requested use case.
    The consultant documents the settings and prepares proper guidelines that allow other consultants to do further changes or repairs with due efforts.
    The consultant takes care that proper training is given to the users and that the system is usable, performing appropriately and the business flow is complete and correct.
    During go live he assists the technical staff by testing the behaviour of the system.
    After go live he guarantees that the procedures remain usable and consistent in real live situation and proposes enhancements.
    Role of a Functional Consultant in an End To End Implementation
    When you talk about the role of a Functional consultant in an end to end implementation, I think it won't be possible for me or anybody to define everything but I will try to summarize it:
    1. Functional consultant is expected to generate knowledge about the current business process, design current business flows, study current business processes and its complication, in all we can say getting through with current business setup. Flow diagrams and DFD are prepared, most of the time in Vision format, all this forms the part of AS IS document.
    2. Everything configured has to be documented as per their categories in the form of predefined templates, these have to be then approved by the team leads or who ever the consultant is reporting to.
    3. Mapping and GAP analysis is done for each module, I have seen people defining integration after mapping, gap analysis and configuration is done, but as per my experience in implementation, it is a simultaneous process.
    4. Before starting configuring  future business processes in SAP, the DFD/ERD are prepared, this documentation is called TO BE, which can be also siad as the result of mapping and gap analysis.
    5. Sometimes Functional consultants are also expected to prepare test scripts for testing the configured scenarios.
    6. End user manual and user training is also expected from F.Consultants.
    The project normally starts off  with a Kick off meeting in which the team size, team members, reporting system, responsibilities, duties, methodlogy, dates and schedules, working hours which have been predicided are formally defined.
    ASAP, it won't be possible for me to explain it here, but all I can tell you about it is that it is SAP standard implementation methodology, which SAP prescribes but is not mandatory for any company to follow, such as IBM follow some blue Methodlogy, some companies follow typical SDLC steps, ASAP stands for Accerlated SAP, you can find all the steps on SAP site, through google, reading it from there won't give you a great knowledge about ASAP but will obviously get you to know the definitions of various term.
    SAP Tickets - What Is That?
    Handling tickets is called Issue Tracking system. The errors or bugs forwarded by the end user to the support team are prioritized under three seviority High, Medium and Low. Each and every seviority as got its time limits before that we have to fix the error.
    The main job of the supporting consultant is to provide assistance on line to the customer or the organisation where SAP is already implemented for which the person should be very strong in the subject and the process which are implemented in SAP at the client side to understand,to analyse,to actuate and to give the right solution in right time.This is the job of the support consultant.
    The issues or the tickets(problems) which are arised is taken care of on priority basis by the support team consultants.
    The work process in support projects are given below for your reference.
    1.  The customer or the end user logs a call through any tool or by mail (RADIX).
    2.  Each one of the support team is a part of support group.
    3. Whenever a customer logs a call he /she  has to mention to which work group (by name).
    4. Once the calls came to the work group the support consultant or the team need to send an IR (Initial Response) to the user depending upon the priority of the calls. (Top,High,Med,Low,None)
    5. Then the error is fixed, debugged by the support consultant or the team. Then after testing properly by generating TR(Transport Request through the basis admin)
    6. Then it is informed to the end user/customer/super user about the changes which have moved to the production server by CTS process.
    These are the process.  In summary, what I understand is that if any configuration or customization is required to solve the issue, then the consultant have to work on DEV Client, then the end user will test it in the QA client and after approval the BASIS consultant has to transport it to the PRODUCTION client.
    An example:
    Tickets in SD can be considered as the problems which the end user or the employee in the company face while working on R/3.  Tickets usually occur during the implementation or after theimplementation of the project.  There can be numerous problem which can occur in the production support and a person who is working in the support has to resolve those tickets in the limited duration, every ticket has the particular deadline alert so your responsibility is to finish it before that deadline.
    To begin with , we should give "TICKET" to you for not knowing it.
    Here is an eg of a ticket raise:
    End user is not able to
    1. Create Sales order for a customer from a New plant , since shipping point determination is not happened . ( Without Shipping point the document becomes INCOMPLETE and he will not be able to proceed further like DELIVERY, BILLING).
    He raises a ticket and the priority is set in one of the below:
    1. Low  2. Medium  3. High.
    Now you need to solve this ticket. You would analyze the problem and identify that the SP configuration has to be done for the new plant.
    You would request a transport for DEV CLIENT to BASIS. You do the change and Request one more Transport to BASIS for QA client. The End user will test the same by creating a sales order for the new plant and approve it.
    Finally, you request a transport to move the changes to PRODUCTION. Once the change is deployed in production the TICKET is closed.  What I have given is a small example. You would get some real issues with severity HIGH in your day-day support.
    nagesh
    The main duty of a consultant is to transfer external know-how to the client. It is not manpower that counts but intelligence, understanding of processes, a feeling for defects and general a common sense.

  • IRecruitment: New users cannot see jobs as candidates

    Hi
    I´m experiencing a problem with iRecruitment. All the people in my company have an Oracle user associated to their corresponding person. The ones created long before (i don´t know exactly when, maybe when iRecruitment was implemented), can connect using the employee candidate resp. and search for jobs without problem. The new created users also connect with the same responsibility, but they cannot see any job. I´ve run the following programs with no success:
    - Synchronize WF LOCAL tables with the following values for the “Orig System” parameter:
    1. PER_ROLE
    2. FND_RESP
    3. FND_USR
    - Sync responsibility role data into the WF table
    - Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation
    Any idea?
    Thank you in advance

    Thanks guys. I finally solved it. We have a security policy activated to prevent users to see certain info (such as salaries) thru the app or database. One of the tables was per_all_vacancies. So we granted the profile value associated to that policy to these users and now they are able to search for vacancies. Thank you all of you for your help and effort. I´ve noted down all your suggestions so i can solve future problems regarding irec.

  • Over Ride Equals()

    Hello,
    I writing a program that over rides the Equals() method.
    At the end of the program. It should tell you which pizza has the most toppings. But I don't think the way I have my prgrogram written. It really is checking for content like want it to. Can someone point out what I am doing wrong??
    Here is my program:
    * Author: David O. Kayholm Jr.
    * Program: PizzaParlor
    * Assingment: 6
    class Ingredient
         private String name;  // name of our ingredient
         // constructor for our Ingredient
         public Ingredient(String name)
              this.name = name;
         // override method in Object to print
         // our object's state.  Otherwise, we'll
         // just get classname@hashcode!
         public String toString()
              return " " + name;
    class Pizza
         private String name;       // name of our pizza
         private final int max = 8; // max number of ingredients
         private int count     = 0; //counts ingredients per pizza
         public boolean equals(Object obj) //What is being compared here??
              if (obj instanceof Pizza)
                   Pizza apie = (Pizza)obj;

    equals() -- It's job is to determine whether two objects are equal, not which one is more or less. That is either A and B are equal, or they're not. If they're not equal, A could be less than B, or A could be greater than B. I you need to distinguish between A < B and A > B (as you seem to want to do for your pizza), then you need to use Comparator or Comparable.
    So what does it mean for two objects to be "equal"? That is entirely up to the imlementer of the class. In your case, two pizzas might be equals if the have the same name and all the same toppings. Or perhaps they're only equal if bother references refer to the same pizza object. (This is how Object implements equals, and it's what you get if you don't override equals.)
    Here's a template for equals that I usually start with. It's not always appropriate, but often it is.
    public boolean equals(Object obj) {
        MyClass that;
        if (obj == this) { return true; } // It's the same object
        if (obj == null) { return false; } // nothing is ever equal to null
        that = (MyClass)obj;
        if (!(this.objectRefField.equals(that.objectRefField))) { return false; } // any field not matching means they're not equal
        if (this.primitiveField != that.primitiveField) { return false; }
        // repeat whichever of the above lines is appropriate for each member variable
        return true; // if we got here, all the fields were equal
    }hashCode() -- a hash is like a fingerprint or checksum or summary of the state of an object. One use is to provide a quick lookup of an object without having to examin every other object to get to it. A hash should be fast to compute, and there should be a high probability that two objects that are not equal will have different hash codes.
    For example, let's say you have a Person class, and there are fields like firstName, lastName, phoneNumber, Address, etc. You might compare all the fields to see if two Person objects are equal. However, you might just use phoneNum.hashcode() (if phoneNum is an object) or phoneNum itself (if phoneNum is an int or long) for your hashCode method. This would work well, becuase it will be fast to compute, and out of, say, thousands of people, not that many will have the same phone number (me and my wife and kids all do, or me and my officemates do, etc.)
    How is it used? For example, java.util.Set is a collection of objects, but you can't add the same object more than once. So, when you go to add an object, it looks to see if it's already there. How does it do that? Well, it could use equals() to compare the object you're tyring to add to every object it's storing, and if it gets all the way through, then the object's not there, and it can be added. This will be slow.
    What it does (or what it could do--I don't know that I've ever looked) is to first look at the hashcode. It gets the hashCode of the object you're trying to add, then looks to see if that hashcode is present among the objects it has already stored. If not, it adds your object. If it was present, it does equals() against all the object with that hashcode.
    This is faster because the hashcodes are ints, and they can be sorted and binary searched a lot faster than objects. The hashcode for each object only has to be computed when the object is added, and it's cached after that (or could be). If it does find a match on hashcode, the number of objects on which it has to do the slow equals() (i.e., number of people with same phone #) is just a small subset of the whole set.
    Which brings us to why you have to override hashCode if you override equals. For the above scenario to work, two objects that are equal must also have the same hashcode. If two objects were equal but had different hashcodes, then the hashcode search wouldn't get the match, and you'd add the "same" object twice.
    The default hashcode that Object uses is based on (or is the same as?) the object's address.
    To make this work, hashCode can't use any fields that equals doesn't use. It can (and generally should--for performance reasons) ignore some fields that equals uses. Simply returning 0 all the time is a legal hashcode function, but it's also the most innefficient one.
    Back to your original problem. If you want to learn about equals, well, I hope I've helped. If you want to determine which pizza has more toppings, well, that's not what equals is for. Use Comparator or Comparable.
    Comparator is an interface with a method "compare()" that takes two objects and returns <0 if the first object is "less", 0 if the objects are equal, and >0 if the first object is "more". Just as "equals" is up to the developer to define, so are the semantics of less and more. In your case, one pizza is "more"than another if it has more toppings. Your comparator's compare() method could just return pizza1.numToppings - pizza2.numToppings.
    Comparable is an interface with a method "compareTo()" that takes one object to compare this to. It's like calling Comparator.compare(this, obj). It's used for defining the "natural ordering" of a class. It's what's used for sorting when you don't explicitly specify a Copmarator.
    Hope this helps!

  • JSM - Creating Job Documentation from Job Request itself

    Hi all,
    I am still exploring JSM, and I know its possible to create Job Request (Job Req) from Job Documentation (Job Doc).
    But is it possible to create the reverse (Job Doc from Job Req) ?
    This will be great, if the user is creating Job Req from "Detailed" version (compared to "Basic"), which has similar entries and tabs, as Job Doc.
    I did read somewhere that its possible, but I never find any documentation or SCN/blogs on this.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Shahul

    This was answers below, in the comment area by Volker.
    How to configure SAP's standard Job Request form - Part 2
    Hi Shahul,
    the user triggers the Job Doc creation from within the Incident or Change Request in the JSM assignment block, but then the data from teh Job Request is automatically taken over for the Job Document.
    So starting the creation and pushing the save button is manual work, but the filling out the Job Doc is done automatically.
    Kind Regards

  • How to get the SQL Signon that Agent Jobs "Run As" or "Executed as User"

    How to get the SQL Signon that Agent Jobs "Run As" or "Executed as User"?
    I have an install SQL scripts that creates a Linked Server. I want to put some security on the Linked Server and only grant the Agent Job Signon (the "Run As" or "Executed as User") access to the linked server. I need to retrieve the
    Agent Job Signon (something like "NT SERVICE\SQLAgent$FIDEV360BI02").
    I could query certain jobs and SUBSTRING the Message column - using some form of the query below, which would return "Executed as user: NT SERVICE\SQLAgent$SSDEVBI02. The step succeeded." But that is pretty imprecise.
    use msdb
    SELECT [JobName] = JOB.name,
    [Step] = HIST.step_id,
    [StepName] = HIST.step_name,

    by default all sql jobs are executed as sql server agent account, unless otherwise a proxy is setup.
    you can get the proxy information as Olaf mentioned, if the proxy_id is null for the step, it implies that the job step was executed as sql server service account and in such case it will be null
    so, if it is null, it ran as sql server agent account.
    so, one work around is get the sql server agent service account and if the proxy is null, that means it ran as sql server agent account, so, use isnull function. the disadvantage would be if the sql server agent account was switched, you might not get the
    accurate information as the new account will show up though the job really ran as old account, to get this information, you need to  get this from the logmessage column as you mentioned above.
     try this code...
    /*from sql 2008r2 sp1, you get the service accounts using tsql,otherwise you have to query the registry keys*/
    declare @sqlserveragentaccount varchar(2000)
    select @sqlserveragentaccount= service_account
    from sys.dm_server_services
    where servicename like '%sql%server%agent%'
    select message,isnull(name,@sqlserveragentaccount) as AccountName
    from sysjobhistory a inner join sysjobsteps b
    on a.step_id=b.step_id and a.job_id=b.job_id
    left outer join sysproxies c on c.proxy_id=b.proxy_id
    Hope it Helps!!

  • Differences in Background jobs and Dialog jobs

    Hi everyone,
    I am new to SAP and would like a little clarification regarding what is meant by Background jobs and Dialog jobs/processes. We had a situation at our client location where the system got completely bogged down to the point that it almost froze and many of the process chains were failing in BI. As per the basis team, the jobs were triggered as "dialog jobs" instead of "background" jobs which caused a heavy load on the system.
    What is the difference? What happens when the jobs are run in the background or as dialog? Can both be checked in SM37?
    Points will be awarded
    Thanks.

    **Dialog Work process:** The Dialog work process fulfill all requests for the execution of dialog steps triggered by an active user. The dialog work process are not used for request which take long time and which use more cpu. Every dispatcher requires at least two dialog work processes. The dialog work process default time is 300 secs. If the dialog work process does not respond in this time, it will be terminated. Also dialog work process are multiplexed to handle large no of user request.
    **Background Work process:** The background work processes execute programs that run without user interaction. At least two background work processes are required per SAP system. More than one background work processes can be configured per dispatcher. Usually the background work process are used for carrying jobs that take long time to finish, like client copy, client transport etc.., . There are two types of background work process. They are A type and B type. A type background work process are used for mission critical jobs. Background jobs of priority a have high priority than B type back ground jobs.
    you can check your job using tcode SM50.
    Thanks
