I guess u can create a custom file chooser class. This should essentially include an event listener for selections done in the file chooser dialog and store in an array. you can pass this array back to the calling class/method.
I could do it for u...but since u are already working on it...you might as well just go ahead and do it

I have had this application for some time, simply never used it. Last night I tried converting a PDF file to word, unsuccessfully, I might add.
Today, whilst printing a page, my printing settings appear to have been reset because when I selected Print selected page, the following message appeared:

How do I reconfigure my settings to preview rather than defaulting to PDF? Kindly advise. Cheers.

I have only been able to print by exporting from iphoto. I have a new HP printer and there is software that supports photo printing ("HP photo smart") and I have been able to do it this way. On some occasions I have been able to use the iphoto>print>then preview before actually printing. There is a print option on the preview pane and that has worked on occasion...unsure why it doesn't work always. Please pass on any other hints, or let me know if this works for you!!

Error in iPhoto 6: "no pages from the document were selected to be printed"

Getting this error: "no pages from the document were selected to be printed" after -- you guessed it -- selecting a photo and trying to print (from iPhoto 6).
Everything was working fine (I had successfully printed several photos) and then I tried to get the printer to communicate through a Bluetooth dongle plugged into the printer, and now the printing won't work, although I'm plugged into the printer via USB. Printer is an Epson PictureMate PM200.
I've tried deleting the iPhoto preferences file, but that didn't seem to help.

Okay, so I ran the disk utility, repairing disk permission as well as deleting the iPhoto permissions file, and I have successfully printed - yippee =).

Error message, both in iPhoto and Preview: No pages from the document were selected to be printed.

When I try to print a photo I get the above message stating that no pages have been selected. I tried deleting the iPhoto prefs plist, as I had read in earlier discussions, but that has not helped. I tried opening in Preview, but get the same message.
I have a new printer, HP 7520 series, and have been printing to regular paper just fine. It is only in attempting to print from the photo tray that I have run into this problem. I used page setup first to select the photo paper size and layout, then selected print from the menu.
Any ideas?

Enhanced JFileChooser for file encoding selection

In many I18N applications, files are stored in different encodings, including Unicode formats. It would be very useful for JFileChooser to have a file encoding selection mechanism similar to that in MS Windows' common file dialogs -- the "Encoding" box can be seen in Windows 2000/XP Notepad's File Open/Save dialog, directly under "File name" and "Save as type" combo boxes.
This enhancement will make JFileChooser closely match Windows standard file dialogs and be a desirable option on other platforms as well.

That is a good point! I think all of documents encoded in Unicode need this feature to be saved correctly.

JFileChooser, how can you allow the user to select MORE than 1 file?

Hello everyone.
I want to allow the user to select multiple files from a directory, not just 1, but not just the whole directory.
Currently I see these 2 options from looking at the sun's JFileChooser demo:

Hi,
I'm trying to capture an image of computer that was already imaged using MDT 2013. I tried to install the new Windows Updates and add some files to the original image but each time I try to recapture the image I get this error: "ZTI Error Unhanded error
returned by LTISysprep: The system cannot find the file specified -2147024894 0x80070002"
I checked the Deployment Share and I do have LTISysprep.wsf in there.

Well, it only runs LTISysprep when you tell it you want to capture an image (via the wizard, or through the equivalent set of CustomSettings.ini parameters).
The log you provided doesn't actually show it running LTISysprep. In fact, it specifically shows that you specified not to capture an image:
Property DoCapture is now = NO
Maybe you specified to join a domain (which isn't good for capturing an image) and it skipped the wizard pane about that?

How to find if the user has selected one or many files using a file chooser

I have a file chooser but want it to return either a file or file array depending on whether more than one file is selected but there doesn't seem to be any way to find out if that is the case or not. I want it to look something like:
            if(fileChooser.getSelectedFile().isDirectory()==true)
                selectedFile=fileChooser.getCurrentDirectory();
            else if(fileChooser.multipleFilesSelected())
                fileChooser.getSelectedFiles();//we have more than one file selected
            else

Is it possible to export to PDF without a Return character at the end of every line?

I am the author of a book whose first edition has been typeset and extensively amended in InDesign. I now need to rewrite the first edition to produce a second edition.
When I copy-and-paste from the PDF with which the publisher has supplied me into MS Word, I get a Return character at the end of every line, which means that text doesn’t automatically wrap and sentences are fragmented so that I get spurious grammar errors.
I know that not all PDF files have a Return at the end of every line. Is it possible to restrict Returns to the end of paragraphs when exporting from InDesign to PDF? If so, what should the publisher be asking the typesetter to do?

I don't have InDesign myself, so I know hardly anything about how it's used. I'm just trying to research what an internationally-known publisher should already know how to do, but apparently doesn't!
Following your suggestion, Mike, I have downloaded the trial version of Acrobat and exported the PDF to a Word file. This has been moderately successful as there are far fewer spurious Return characters, just a few that I suspect may be hangovers from the typesetter having introduced soft returns in ID.
As you've suggested Peter and Ellis, I'll suggest that the publisher asks the typesettter to export from ID to RTF and Text to see if that's even better.

Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!

If I use NIK HDR and the photo returns to LR, the stack is automatically changed from 3 to 4. When LR's HDR merge brings a photo back into LR's library, the stack number does not change and the DRG version isn't included in the stack.

The Ps CS6 public beta version contains the same camera support as found in Ps CS5/5.5 compatible CR 6.6. There will be future updates to CR 7 for Ps CS6 to pick up more camera support. The Nikon D800 NEF files are not supported, yet.
If you like to work with your D800 files in the public beta build now, you'll have to get the DNG Converter 6.7 from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw6-7/
and convert your files to DNG.

Firefox 3.6.* and earlier set the downloaded file's modification time to the current time. In Firefox 4.0 the behavior has been changed, if a server returns a timestamp telling when the file was last modified (Last-Modified header), it is used instead.
You can revert to the previous behaviour by using the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/93121/ Download Timestamp] add-on.
