Overriding email address for Payables separate remittance advice (sra)
After copying a production instance into a test or development instance, we would like to override email addresses for all emails sent from automated processes. For workflows and alerts, there is a feature to send all email to an override email address. This does not seem to work for Payables separate remittance advice (sra) emails.
I believe (but could be wrong) that the SRA does not use the workflow mailer. Instead it uses the “XML Publisher Delivery Manager”. Is there a way to override all email addresses for emails sent through XML Publisher Delivery Manager?

I also opened an SR on this question. I don't believe there is any solution for this requirement offered by Oracle. I am planning on writing a script to update supplier contact email addresses to an override email box for test instances. If anyone has a slicker solution, let us know.

1) The Enhancement Request has already been filed as Enhancement Defect 9308736. Enhancements have a long duration as they require review of various teams at different levels to determine desirability and feasibility. You can follow up the progress of this enhancement by monitoring this defect via MyOracleSupport. As this functionality is not available in R12, please consider customizing the needed feature in your internal organization.

In R12 Oracle Payables, is it posssible to specify multiple email addresses in the Email field under the Separate Remittance Advice Delivery tab. This is to send separate remittance advice to multiple email addresses for a given supplier / supplier site.
Navigation:
Responsibility: Payables Manager
(N): Suppliers -> Entry
Query a supplier.
On the left side, click on Payment Details
Click on the Update Payment Details icon for a supplier site
Click on the tab Separate Remittance Advice Delivery
Select Delivery Method = Email
Enter email address in the Email field.
Does Oracle support comma or semi-color delimited email addresses entered in the Email field, by which Separate Remittance Advices can be sent to those email addresses?

I have tested the same in R11i instance and specified multiple email address with comma as separator.

R12 Send Separate Remittance Advice - Data Source

Hi,
I want to insert a field in the template file IBYR_SRA.rtf. I am trying to get the XML Data Source file for the Separate Remittance Advice program. When I run the process, the output comes as pdf file even though I change the output format of the concurrent program to XML. The log file shows some html tags. How can I get the XML data source, so I can modify my template to include additional fields?

Don't know if this helps you but what I did was run the payment all the way through, then go into the log file of the Format Payment Instructions (with Text Output in my case) and pull the XML coded from the log. Look for text in the log that starts somewhat like "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><OutboundPaymentInstruction>....."
Then copy that entire section to a Notepad window. Save the file with .xml as the extension then use your XML editor to open it. I then use that as my datasource to test my rtf template formatting.

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
Step 2
Restart your broadband device and your router, if different. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
Step 3
From the menu bar, select

Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or obviously invalid, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
Step 4
Back up all data, then take the steps suggested in this support article.
There are five steps in that article. Please take all of them. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
Step 5
From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, make a note of them and then deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server. Restore the previous settings if that happens.

Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
Step 8
Boot in safe mode and log in. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but didn't work when you booted out of safe mode, stop here and post your results.
Step 9
Reset the NVRAM.
Step 10
Reinstall OS X.
Step 11
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support.

System Email Address for Remittance Advice

Hello,
We currently send the Remittance Advice by email to Supplier.
The sender address on the email to Supplier is [email protected] and we would like to change this sender address to [email protected]
We can see that the default email address for all output forms can be changed in Fine Tuning Activity 'E-mail and Fax Settings' and it is currently [email protected] However we want to use a specific address for the Purchase Order email and another for the Remittance Advice email.
Can anyone tell us where we set the Remittance (or Purchase Order) specific email address ?

Hi Kevin,
As a standard behavior, the system sends an e-mail from buyer responsible address and not from default sender address. Default sender address will be used if there is no document-specific sender address. It means that if the buyer responsible does not maintain e-mail address, then system will send the Purchase Order from default sender e-mail address; else it will be consider the buyer responsible contact data.

Everytime I attempt to use my Apple ID associated with iTunes with iMessage, iCloud, or Facetime, it tells me: 'Unable to verify email because it is already in use'. I've been playing around with it and find when I enter another email address other then the one associated with my iTunes account, it'll work. So it seems that my Apple ID will log me into the cloud (or whatever it may be), but I need another email address for the messages to be sent to? Perhaps somebody can clarify for me. But we are unable to figure out on how to get the data source for the standard program 'Send Separate Remittance Advices'.
The program is of the type Java concurrent program. Is there any way to get the XML tags for this program.

Creating a separate email address for my husband on our iMac.

I have an icloud account/email address but now I want to create a new separate email address for my husband to use. I am still using Leopard on my iMac, I did not upgrade to Lion.
I am not sure how to go about doing this and I haven't found anything on apple.com to help me either. Its all very confusing. Please help! Thanks!

You can create an 'email alias', which is an extra address (not account) which delivers into the main inbox - so your and his emails would be mixed up. You do this at http://me.com - go to the Mail page, click the cogwheel icon at top right and choose 'Preferences' - go to the 'Accounts' pane and click the '+' button below the list.
If you want to keep your emails separate he will need to create a new iCloud - however he won't be able to do this on Leopard, though he can on an iOS5 device. (You must presumably have migrated from MobileMe to get it working). If he does this he will need to be on his own Mac or on a separate user account on yours to keep the emails separate.

Separate Remittance Advice

We recently upgraded from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3. We do have a custom payment format and it is working fine. After we are done with the Payment batch, we want to run the Send Separate Remittance Advice process manually. When we try to submit the process, I do not see the Payment Instruction Id in the LOV. We do not want to automatically submith the remittance process, so we haven't enabled the feature in the PPP reporting setup.
When I checked the table IBY_PAY_INSTRUCTIONS_ALL (GENERATE_SEP_REMIT_ADVICE_FLAG) and IBY_PAYMENTS_ALL(SEPARATE_REMIT_ADVICE_REQ_FLAG), the remittance flag fields are set to N. If I manually update those fields in the the 2 tables to Y, I am able to run the remittance process. What should I change to have these flags to get populated with value "Y"?
I am positive there's some setup I am missing.

Can I create an email address for a family member using my apple ID?

I converted to iCloud from Mobile Me in October before I created email addresses for my kids. Can I create accounts for them in iCloud?

Just go to http://appleid.apple.com and create a new Apple ID for each kid - note that you will need a different associated email address for each ID, and different from your own, but you can use free addresses such as Yahoo.
Then start a new iCloud account for each using the IDs. You will need to have a separate user account on your Mac for each kid (you should be doing this anyway, and they should be non-admin accounts) and then you can enter the ID in System Preferences>iCloud and create a new @me.com address in each case.
Alternatively you could create up to three email aliases on your own account - these are addresses, not accounts, and deliver into your main inbox alonside your mail, so everyone will be able to see everyone else's mail, which may well not be what you want.

You can add more identities to a single profile.
Go to Tools -> Account Settings -> <your account> and click the Manage Identities button on the bottom right. That's the place where you can add additional e-mail addresses for your account.

FaceTime asking for email address for people to call but it's already set up and won't skip, already on iPhone 4, want it on iPad

So my nan has just got an iPad for Christmas, she already has an iPhone 4 and her FaceTime account is already set up, but she would like it on her iPad as it is obviously bigger than her iPhone. However, FaceTime will not let her proceed when it asks for the email address for people to contact her on. It says that it is already in use??

If all you want is an additional email address you can create up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account.
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account, move it to another account, or reactivate it if you delete it.

If you want to keep her email separate from yours she will need to create a new Apple ID, and use it to create a new iCloud account either on a separate computer or on a separate User Account on your Mac.

Broadcasting via Bursting to multiple email address for a single vendor cod

I have a requirement to broadcast out a web template based scorecard to multiple email addresses for a given vendor code. We have gotten it to work via a single email address, but I need to send it to more than one email per vendor code.

Hi Chris,
If my understanding is right, you must be using the master data of vendor Code(Which has an attribute to store Email IDs).
You can add multiple email ID to the same master data separated by semi colon ";"
If you are using user IDs instead, I dont think it is possible to use multiple user ID in the same attribute.
in this case you need to enhance the master data with a new attribute to store the second user ID and the create a separate setting for this attribute.
