Overtime processing

Hi,
I want to configure the folloowing overtime pocessing scenario:
Overtime processing:
CLIENT follows following method for overtime processing
1.     Overtime on Monday to Friday is calculated as
1.25*basic salary
2.     Overtime on Saturday & Sunday as
1.5*basic salary
3.     Overtime on public holiday as
2 basic salary +250 Naira.
Please help me on this scenario.

Overtime compensation by time off.

Dear Experts,
I am using TM00 for time evaluation, I want to compensate the overtime perfomed by employee by time off only (no payment for overtime), I am using PCR YO16 for determining overtime (Copy of TO16 Determine overtime without approval), I have set the compensation type 3 (Compensation time off) using PCR YO16, I have created one absence quotya type 02 called as "comp off" with "INCREASE" mode in customizing, I have kept base entitlement for this quota type as Day Balance 0410 (Time off from overtime), the issue is that the quota type 02 is geting accrued twice if employee works overtime this is because PCR for compensation of Overtime TC10 updates the quota 02 by UPDTQA by overtime hours and QOUTA function also increases the quota type 02 by overtime hours,.
Since my quota type 02 should only get generated if any employee works overtime I dont want it to get processed by QUOTA function so could you please let me know how to achieve it.
If there is any other solution for my requirement then also please let me know.

Hi Okan,
For accessing the quota in time evaluation should be in increase mode.
Still I tries as you said be it is also preventing it from getting updated by UPDTQA.
I am having one workaround...if I remove the UPDTQA statement from TC12 I am getting correct results since the quota is getting updated by QUOTA function only...but I think this would not be the correct way to get the solution since SAP has provided the UPDTQA statement in TC12 means there should be some purpose behind it...right...the correct way would be to avoid the quota getting updated by QUOTA function...I think we are missing something...bevause of which we are not able prevent QUOTA function from updating our quota..please suggest...

AP Invoice BPEL Process is not populating into Line Interface tables

Hi
We are in the process of Creating BPEL Process for AP Invoice. Before we map Supplier incoming XSD, we have created our own XML and XSD and mapped with Standard APInvoice XML Gateway XSD. Transformation is able to populate header information into AP Invoice header Interface tables. And also its populating the Lines information but not the mapped column values. Its populating only Standard Derived values like Invoice_id, Invoice_line_id, Line_number, Line_type_lookup_code. We have mapped the Amount column to one of our incoming Amount column. Those values are not getting populated into Invoice Interface line tables.

It looks like you dont have the MODIFY statement in the loops where you calculate the QTYDIFF value.
Try:
loop at t_hist.
clear t_hist-qtydiff.
t_hist-qtydiff = t_hist-qtyrcvd - t_hist-qtyinvd.
if not s_qty is initial.
check t_hist-qtydiff in s_qty.
endif.
if not s_value is initial.
check t_hist-valdiff in s_value.
endif.
w_hist-valdiff = w_hist-valdiff + t_hist-valdiff.
<b>MODIFY t_hist from w_hist.</b>
endloop.
Do the same for the other t_hist table loop.

i have a workflow process, which is about overtime.
we created overtime request as a batch. each batch has more employees for OT.
so when the batch is created, workflow starts and send the notification to the
approver .
If the approver approves, then system check in the batch that, any of the employee got more than 10 hours, if exist , then system has to send those
records to the next approver(manager). So its like a master detail process.
but how can i start the detail process, shall i just draw a link to the detail process or i have to manually start using createprocess and startprocess for the detail process. any example is appreciated.

As per my understanding, apart from drawing the link, you will also have to provide the package and procedure to handle this further processing. You can check WF guide for more details.

Hi,
If you are creating a master-detail relationship, then each detail flow needs to be started from a custom function in the master process. You will need to call the APIs to create the process, set the relationship between master and detail, and then start the detail process.

Calculation of overtime amount

Hello everybody,
                 I have done overtime by giving number of hours in the 2010 infotype and assigned the /001 valuation bases to it bcoz it gives the wage per hour.. but the valuation bases is calculating on the whole of gross amount where as i want it calculate on only the basic salary how can i do tht.... waiting for the answers....

Then select ur basic pay wage type.. double click on it.. check processing class 1. Maintain specification 1.. for ur basic pay wage type only.. for rest of the wage types which u copied.. maintain processing class 1 specification 0..   Dont change Processing classes of standard entries..

Downsizing a fat ODS to optimaze the processing time!

Hello all,
Working with SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0, a customizing FI_CO OPC ODS with 300.000.000 records extracted from Sap R/3, was enhanced with 2 new fields and since then it has generated big processing time about 20 hrs and same times basis team needs to kill it! This ODS has been loading a Cube and the new enhanced fields will be loaded to another Cube.
As a newbie and Sap BI also newbie at this project, Ive been requested to analyze the model and give a better option to optimize the loading process, options such as should this ODS be deleted and data be extracted straight to the Cubes, or downsizing this ODS by removing the olds records of it and saving it in other new ODS?
Anyone could come up with a bright idea?

In reality the problem is not about processing overtime while loading the COPS ODS, but after the 2 new attributes were added to the structure COPS ODS the "Transport" of it is taking big overtime, caused by the needy of BW to re-index the ODS since the 300.0000.000 records are already there! As I said before, I need to redesign the model and suggest some good options to solve the problem. Some options could be deleting data from ODS and keeping the InfoCubes; or deleting data prior to current fiscal year from COPS ODS and keeping historical InfoCubes; or updating everything then perform logical partitioning then keep details in the ODS and aggregate data in Infocubes, also could be moving all COPS ODS data to a temp, apply OPC changes to it and then move data back!
I need to show the advantage or disadvantage of my options and must choose the better solution!

Overtime calculation in TM00.

Hi Experts,
I am implementing positive time management and requirement for overtime calculation is as follows:
if employee works number of hours more than his/her daily work schedule the overtime wage type should get generated for the excess hours.
e.g. employee's daily working hours are 8 hrs (9 to 6 with 1 hour unpaid break) and if he/she works till 9 in night but he/she was out off the office for 1 hour from 4 to 5 then only "2" hours overtime should get calculated.
currently 3 hrs overtime wage type (1OVT) is getting generated using GWT M ZML.
For work around I thought of keeping this 3 hrs OT as it is but creating one more deduction wage type (1DDC) for absence hour (pair 4 to 5) I have assigned the processing type as "A" for this pair type using V_T555Z and define the generation rule for generating the wage type fpr this in V_T510S but function DEFTP is changing the processing type of this absence hour pair to "S" again because of which the wage type (1DDC) is not getiing generating.
Please suggest how to proceed with this. If you have any other solution please suggest.

I have created the attendance quota 01 and created entry in 2007 for 2 hours for date 1st april 2004 (with and without meantioning the time)
then I maintained the time event entries in 2011 with 1 hr overtime.
but after rule TO20 the processing type of the time pair is not getting changed to "M", also the attendance quota 01 is not
getting deducted.

Confusion on pair type and Processing Type

Dear Experts
I have the the below doubt in TIP Table
Pair type gives the information on the how the Time pairs being generated as
0-      Non recorded Time
1-      Attendences
2-      Absences
3-      Attendences Recorded from client
Processing Types also gives information on how the Time pairs are coming with below spec
- Pair is deleted at a later stage
BLANK Pair not included in calculation of productive time
P Attendance pair, included in calculation
of planned working time
A Absence pair, included in calculation
of planned working pair
S Planned working time pir
M Overtime pair
Kindly let me know on what senerios we go with pair type and processing type as they have the same meaning

i am clear but as mentioned in pair type 1= attendence (2011 - Positive) and Planned working time for negative . in processing type S, A,P also signifies the information how the Time pairs are Generated   and also we have Origin indicator of time pair O which specifies wheather the time pairs are coming from E,M.A,P and D.
Since they have same information why Sap has defined pair Type processing Type and Origin Indicator
                                                             I got the inputs theriotically but practically i am not able to get the TIP Table to read and understand .

For overtime approval process... either u can use IT 2005. or You can use IT 2007 for overtime quota and 2002 for Approval process. Its also mentioned in one of the SAP HR Book HR311. You can refer that book, Its in detail and really going to help you..

My Salary Process Has become dead slow.

I'm glad that your problem is resolved, but do have some observations.
First if you are batch processing several thousand records then the most appropriate place to do that is on the db server - your client pc should have very little involvement.
Second, I'm not a big fan of separate tablespaces for tables and indexes, but you would seem to be using a tablespace named for index objects to store tables.

Speed up process to create web forms that put info into database

Hi All
Basically what Im trying to ask is that I have been developing jsp pages with some javabeans to insert information into databases and then to insert/retreive this information. I have been doing this by hand and it takes time even though I have a library of beans that I have built overtime. My management wants me to deploy new forms within 30 minutes.
Current method of creating forms

1 - I make the form in dreamweaver
2- Copy and paste the code into my IDE jpadpro
3- Put in the bean connection in the jsp page and create new insert statement
4 - Create the result page
5- Ftp pages to server
I am looking to speed the process of creating new forms which connect to ms sql server (insert) information. I have already invested in crystal reports to make reports which i think has cut my development time by 10 foldes. I am looking for something similar to insert information into the databases.
If there is no such software then is there a java IDE where I can design web page forms visually (like dreamweaver/ microsoft infopath) and create the jdbc connections through wizards. I think microsofts visual studio does this, but i cant use this as i am working with j2ee with ms sql server database.
I am currently looking into eclipse with the myeclipse plugin to see if it will speed things up. Any suggestions from anyone most welcomed.
Also will JSF be better to use?

Cutting down development times of forms applications is probably why they created Formular (http://formular.redeye.no/ ).
In my company, we use Formular to define the data we wish to collect. We do this in XML. The XML is pretty straight forward to grasp. Formular uses this XML to generate the actual HTML form so you do not need to build several JSPs for each form you display. Formular handles multiple pages gracefully.
After building a few forms this way, you quickly learn ways to save time by establishing a library of commonly used components such as data field validators.
These are components you always end up using in many forms (such as data formating, value range checks, required checks, etc.).
The Formular package allows you to reuse those.
The other fine feature is the availability of data sources. These are classes that Formular uses to populate your forms (or example generate select lists, or radio buttons from data you have in a database or even a file).
Finally, you might be lucky to be in a position to create a single form processing model for your applications. What we have is a generic form processing class that receives data collected by Formular, and use the configuration data from the XML to determine how that data will be handled. You could for instance have a class that you call/invoke dynamically depending on how the form is configured.
I use the XML file custom parameters for this (these params and their values are invisible to the user but accessible by the generic form handler that comes with the package).
You might use these to specify the table you want that form to be posted into, and also maybe even specify exactly which fields.
For our usage, this package is of great value, and we found the licensing costs very attractive. A license is around 43 dollars per site if I remember well.
For the amount of work you put in, I'd recommend this software for you to evaluate.

Error in generate the time off from overtime

Dear all,
     I try to config absence quota of the overtime compensation(time off) in the system, and without clock time.one hour overtime for one hour time off.And I put the time evaluation into payroll calculation,this means we don't have the time evaluation.
     Now I have a problem that when I run the payroll calculation, the quota hasn't generated in the end. I find that in the process in payroll, the quota of time off have generated but hasn't transfered. The table qttrans is nothing and others table have the data.
    So , can you tell me where I have made a mistakes.

if you are not haveing RPTIME00 (TE) the quotas are generated throough Programme RPTQTA00 Tcode PT_QTA00
if u want to generate the Compoff for Quotas Just check the Use of the Option IT0416 and XT00 Sub schema which you have use to insert the PCR
and if u want to Generate the OT you can generate it through IT2010 , IT0015
and also check the Time status in Infotype 0007 Which you have being maintained

But I am stuck, I cant find the table for approver and status stated in the undertime web apps.
Can you provide me the table or script to retrieve the data?
