Overwriting log file

Question

Hi, I am creating a webserver which records requests and the time of the request in a log file. I have tried everything what I know to get to the end of the file but not succeeded. Each request overwrites the previous request in the log file. Please could you help

this line:FileOutputStream log = new FileOutputStream(a "log.txt", boolean append);wouldn't compile?? SHouldn't it read:FileOutputStream log = new FileOutputStream("log.txt", true);
