P1 Validation Errors on BMP/Package Services/Flat/Non-Barcoded
We getting the following error;
:MPU_WT [4062] - The maximum weight for Package Services Bound Printed Matter and Media/Library Flats is 20 oz.
You should get this error I believe IF the job is sorted to be barcoded/machinable(USFM1000) and is OVER 20oz. We have the job set to Non-machinable. Yet we get this error as if we have it set to automated. Is anyone getting this validation error since release of PostalOne 26 was put into place on 1/3?
Latest from P1 minutes
o Release 26 Known Issue: This incorrect error message is being removed in a patch release. The DMM states maximum weight for Bound Printed Matter BPM flats claiming a bar code discount is 20 oz. The DMM states maximum weight for all other Bound Printed Matter BPM flats is 15 lbs. The 20 oz requirement for all BPM flats was an error and must be removed. After the meeting: The incorrect validation was removed January 9, 2011.
The maximum weight for any piece of library or media mail is 70 lbs. The correct requirement will be implemented in a future release. The 20 oz requirement for Media and Library Mail flats was an error and must be removed. After the meeting: The incorrect validation was removed January 9, 2011.
o The version weight for Periodical and Pending Periodical Machinable Flats cannot be greater than 22 oz. After the meeting, it was determined this is a known issue, the maximum weight for Machinable flats per DMM 707.26.2 is 4.4 lbs. This validation will be removed in a patch release. After the meeting: The incorrect validation will be removed January 16, 2011.

Validation error while creating Web Service Proxy.
Hi,
I'm trying to create Web Service Proxy. But I'm stuck with a Validation error
model error: type
+"{http://xmlns.oracle.com/2001/XMLSchema/DOM}+
+org.w3c.dom.Document" not found.+
I'm using "Create Web Service Proxy" wizard. There are 6 steps in creating proxy through JDev. wizard.
First step itself displaying the above validation error when I click on "Next" button.
Few points
We have created web service using "oracle.j2ee.ws.StatelessJavaRpcWebService" servlet
Thanks in advance.
-SukumarHi,
It might be that the .net service which you have is not WS-I compliant. Can you first run WS-I Analyzer on the wsdl to see it the test passes.
Thanks,
Vishal -
Some PDFs cause Package service to respond with E_PACK_UNKNOWN_FILE_TYPE. The files are "almost valid" in a sense that they can be opened and displayed by both Acrobat Reader and OS X Preview. But they are not spec-compliant. First few lines in these files look like this:
BT /F1 12.00 Tf ET
%PDF-1.73
3 0 obj
<</Type /Page
/Parent 1 0 R
Note that the very first line is not a %PDF header, but something else. Per my understanding, Content Server is more stringent than Acrobat Reader, and fails these files.
I'm told, the offending files were created by "FPDF v4.8 for PHP4".
The reason I'm posting this here is mostly so that someone else having the same problem can Google it up. But I also would like to register my frustration at how utterly unhelpful both the error response from the service, and the Content Server documentation were in troubleshooting this.Some PDFs cause Package service to respond with E_PACK_UNKNOWN_FILE_TYPE. Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
Validation error = 16
From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",”cacerts”);
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", trustKeyPasswd);
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType","JKS");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType","JKS");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", keyStoreName);
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword",clientCertPwd); System.setProperty("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump","true");
Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignClass3G5PCA3Root.txt -alias "Verisign Class3 G5P CA3 Root"
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediatePrimary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Primary"
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediateSecondary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Secondary"
Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
1. Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
2. Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
3. Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
4. Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

The how to guide is :
-Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
-Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
-Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
-Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
-Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server. -
How do you resolve Financial Management service validation error in EPM ?
Does anyone know how to resolve Financial Management service validation error from EPM Diagnostic Report?
Environment:
Quad-Core AMD Processor 2.2 GHz (Server Machine)
5 GB RAM
Server 2003 Standard 32-Bit SP2 (also tried in Enterprise)
Application Server:
WebLogic Server 9.2 Custom Installation (with Add-Ins)
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html
Database:
Oracle 10gR2 (Standard Installation per step-by-step guide from Oracle)
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html
Hyperion EMP System 11.1.1.3:
Installer
Foundation Services (4 Files )
EMP Architect
Financial Management, Planning, Financial Reporting and Web Analysis (primarily interested in FM)
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/bi/performance-management/index.html
The following are the sequences of steps carried out during the Installation and Configuration of EPM:
1) Installed the Server along with its respective SP2 – Shutdown the machine
2) Assigned IP and DNS addresses
3) Installed Window components by ticking Application Server Console, Enable COM+ access, IIS and DNS
4) Run “dcpromo” to create a Domain Controller with default values and assigned a domain name – Shutdown the machine
5) Installed Weblogic Server 9.2 and configure it using Configuration Wizard – Selected “test environment” and ticked default “listening port” – Shutdown the machine
6) Basic installation of Oracle Database 10gR2 using Step-by-Step guide provided by Oracle and carried out Password Management steps. After installation, I then created a user “oracle” and assigned it to ora_dba User Group with the required Local Security Policies – “log on as a batch job” and “Act as part of operating system”
7) Logged into database and acknowledge the licensing window – Shutdown the machine
8) Restarted the machine and checked all relevant and newly installed Database and WebLogic services are running.
9) Started Installing EPM components by double clicking “InstallTool.cmd” and selected all relevant components at ONCE as per Installation Guide – Result: - All selected EPM components were successfully installed without errors or exceptions
10) At the end of installation window, I carried out the configuration in the following scearios:
Scenario 1: Configuration all at Default settings
Scenario 2: Configuration all, except “Application Server” I selected the WebLogic9.2
Scenario 3: Configuration all, except “Application Server” and “Workspace Web Server” were being Welogic9.2 and IIS HTTP
RESULT: After all numerous installations, all came down to ONE ERROR from “Diagnostic Report” stating the following:
Financial Management:
FAILED SVR: HFM Service Validation Check if HFM service in working state.
Error: Error message: <03/11/2010 05:32:26 PM> CreateApplicationCAS... Failed at line: 2
Recommended Action: Make sure HAT utility is working. 1 s
I then simply ignored this error and tried to deploy an Application, all worked fine until you get to the point at “Job Console” where you need to press “Refresh” button. Progress remained at 12% until it got timedout after 300 seconds and force attempt of refreshing resulting in “aborted” job with the following error:

This is, I believe preventing me from deploying Consolidation Apps, including Sample Application provided with EPM Downloads. I have tried installing and configuring by components. All failed with the same outcome.
I have been working on this effortlessly in different combinations to get at least one Financial Management Application get deployed so I could enhance my learning adventure. As it stands, I am not sure where to get help and completely lost in the World of Oracle. I am also come to wonder whether “Free Downloads of EPM” are indeed, is “complete and is in working-state” or do I need a licence to use for personal learning experience? Are there different downloads for different needs or/users For example, eDelivery downloads are different from OTN Agreement downloads?
I have downloaded the files from following URL:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/bi/performance-management/index.html
I am completely lost and all services are up and running and not sure what I am missing!! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

While installing itunes i am getting error "this installation package could not be opened.verify that the package exists and that you can access it,or contact the appliacation vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package"
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
ERROR: This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the applikcation vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." I have tried everything which I found on google and apple community. Does anybody have the exact solution? PLEASE HELP!
What has this to do with the application Front Row which this forum covers?
What are you trying to install, on what Mac, with what version of OS X? -
I sometimes get the following error randomly -

My package name in SSIS/BIDS is MY_PACKAGE, but in the error I see MY_PACKAGE_PLUS, which was the name of an older version of the package. This error goes away when I close SSIS and then restart it. I wonder why this happens and how do I fix it
? Is this some bug in SSIS ? The same package runs without errors in SQL server agent.
Thanks.It seems the old package reference still exists in your project bin folder or inside stproj file. WHich is why it tries to validate the older package each time when you start the project.

Cluster Creation Validation Error - List Services
Good Afternoon All,
I am setting up a simple two node Windows 2008 SP2 Failover cluster. The nodes are brand new and patched with all updates. Having gone through this process many times before I was confident it would be quick and painless. However I am getting
the following validation error that I have never seen before:
An error occurred while executing the test. There was an error getting information about the running services on the nodes. There was an error retrieving information about the Services from node 'Node.domain'. Object reference not set to an instance of an
object
I'm at a complete loss as to where to start. If the task is to simply obtain a list of running services I would have thought that would be relatively straight forward. A simple Get-Service from Powershell will display those details. I have
located a KB article that refers to this exact error and there is a hotfix available but this is strictly for Windows 2008 R2 not R1 (SP2).
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2559392
Has anyone seen this error before?Hi valleydoofer,
This error some time occur when you installed Powershell 3, please try to uninstall Powershell 3 from the nodes then rerun the validation.

Windows Installer error box re: valid Windows Installer patch package
I have Windows XP with Internet Explorer and every time I try and download Adobe Reader I get an error box stating: "this patch could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package."
I was told by tech support to install Mozilla with firefox and try again...which I did with the same results. What can I do??Why not try this? At worst, you'll only waste some time.

Validation Error: We can't read the package
Hope someone has some ideas, cause I'm out.
The error (We can't Read the package) doesn't really tell me much.
I have tried to upload this package for a couple weeks and I did see some information one time about a "username" variable not being valid. I have not be able to reproduce the information about "username" for several
days.
Fishing around I did find something that might be relevant in the AppxManifest.xml with the Publisher="CN=$username$" I don't know if this should be populating or not.
Using Visual Studio 2013 update 4. (Apache Cordova Template)

B2B-51507 - Payload Validation Error - while creating VDA -4913V3
I created a document definition under Positional Flat file for VDA-> 4913V4. I created ecs file using the Document editor and created the xsd. I used both these files in creating the Document definition. In the document definition, under identification tab, I have these values.
Identification Value -> empty
Identification Start Position -> 0
Identification End Position -> 128
And I created a Partner Agreement using this Document Definition. I created a channel to send the document to GXS Mailbox.
In the agreement if I have both Validate and Translate checked on, I am getting an error which is show in the reports->Business Message.
Error Code B2B-51507
Error Description Machine Info: (RRDV2SOA) Description: Payload validation error.
Error Level ERROR_LEVEL_COLLABORATION
Error Severity ERROR
Error Text Payload validation error.
If I have only Translate checked on, I am not getting any error, but the message that is sent to GXS is zero bytes.
If I leave both Validate and translate unchecked, the xml is sent to GXS but not the native Format.
I took the payload from the business message and validated and it looks correct.
I am using the sample data that is already validated in the B2B Document Editor using Data Analyzer.
Can you help me on this. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. If needed I can send you the ecs, xsd, and B2B partner definition export zip file to your email address.
Here is the logfile for this error.

Thank you
Krishna.I selected the option "Save guideline before exporting". I am guessing it is failing on the main element of the xml message because of some namespace issue. I am generating the XML using xsl transformationin BPEL and sending the XML payload to B2B Service.
Is there a way to know what part of the XML is erroring duing the validation on the server. The error message is not helpful even I turned on Trace 32 level.
Any ideas?
Thank you

AIP-51505: General Validation Error - SFTP transport - validation disabled
Configuration :
internal DC with SFTP
external DC with SFTP (via proxy)
Business Protocol Custom Document over Generic Exchange
MLR 12? (patch 8703404)
3 environments have the same tip.properties
2 environments pick up and send all files successfully.
I cannot see a difference between the deployments that is causing the validation error.
[also in all three B2B's are an ebXML and AS2 trading partner configuration]
The 3rd generates validation errors for all files (14) in the b2b.log and sends some (1-7).
Note that the sent ones change, if a failed one is retried in the source directory, sometimes it is sent successfully.
In the failing/validating deployment there is no validation for (cut and pasted from UI screens) :
Document Protocol Revision Details = Translation Enabled False Validation Enabled False
Document Types (Document Definition Details for each document def) = Is Translation Enabled False Is Validation Enabled False

2010.04.29 at 19:07:14:375: Thread-10: B2B - (DEBUG) oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.msgproc.DbAccess:updateWireBusinessToErrorState Updating wire message error informationThank you for the suggestion, unfortunately, I cannot get it to work.
I've updated the IDC transport server to 3 different filename_formats, and tried the corresponding files, with correct names to match the filename_format.
After updating the IDC I validated the trading partner (host).
I then updated the agreement using the updated IDC, and validated the agreement.
I then validated the host again.
Then I created a new deployment.
And still received the error.
I then deleted the old IDC and created a new IDC and new agreement and new deployment, trying 3 different "Internal delivery channel filename format" values (updating and validating the agreement and host trading partner each time).
And still received the error.
No matter what I set EITHER the IDC "filename format" OR "Internal delivery channel filename format", the b2b.log always reports :
filename_format = %TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%TIMESTAMP%.txt
e.g.

fullpath:/mnt/maximage_prd/sa_transfer/SA_DRUGS_10.txt
timestamp:Thu Jan 15 09:54:18 PST 1970
When I try a file with a revision number, e.g. SA_DRUGS_10.txt the log shows :
2010.05.16 at 18:05:03:602: Thread-14: B2B - (DEBUG) oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.exchange.generic.GenericExchangePlugin:decodeIncomingMessage FILE_FORMAT = TO_PARTY - SA

2010.05.16 at 18:05:03:895: Thread-14: B2B - (ERROR) Error -: AIP-51505: General Validation Error
which makes sense as "10" is not a timestamp.
If I exclude the revision, using SA_DRUGS.txt the log shows :
2010.05.16 at 18:27:03:543: Thread-14: B2B - (DEBUG) oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.exchange.generic.GenericExchangePlugin:decodeIncomingMessage Transport Protocol = {SFTP}

2010.05.16 at 18:27:03:545: Thread-14: B2B - (ERROR) Error -: AIP-51505: General Validation Error
So, the timestamp gets ignored (as there is no "_" delimiter), but it still fails, probably because there is no timestamp in the filename.
So, why won't the UI correctly set the IDC filename_format or Internal filename_format ? -
Error executing SSIS packages from Agent
Hi All,
I designed SSIS package that loads data from Oracle table to SQl server table along with loading data into Diension and fact tables using SSIS packages only. First I created all SSIS packages that loads data into Staging tables from
Oracle table in next level loading data into Dimension table and final level is loading data into Fact table. At lasts I created One master package there I'm calling all packages (Execute package task) differently.
Configuration type: Parent package configuration for All child packages. XML config for parent package.
When I execute SSIS package from BIDS data is loading up to Fact table. When I execute SSIS packages through Sql server agent ( Using File System Deployment)When I execute SSIS package from Sql server agent it is throwing an error message like

Regards, PraveenHi Praveen,
The issue may occur if the SQL Server Agent Service Account or Proxy account doesn’t have sufficient permissions. Please create a SQL Server Agent Proxy account that has the permissions to execute the package and perform update operations on the SQL Server
fact tables.
