Package name with "-" is not allowed ?
Trying to use our domainname "so-fa.de" in our package structure, the package and import statement force a the following compiler error:
GenericModel.java:47: ';' expected
package de.so-fa.itm.gui.Model;
Is "-" the score character not allowed ?
Is there a preferred mapping (to "_" underscore) ?

Apparently not. The JLS advices you to use under score character in those cases:
"If the domain name contains a hyphen, or any other special character not allowed in an identifier (3.8), convert it into an underscore."

Difficult to get good package names with ojspc in automated build
If I understand the documentation for "ojspc" correctly, there is an aspect of its functionality that makes it difficult to have a convenient automated build which can also get good package names for the generated Java source files.
If you don't specify the "-packageName" option, ojspc will build a package name relative to the current directory, including sub-directories. However, specifying "-packageName" will ONLY use that package, and will not create sub-packages associated with sub-directories.
If you don't use the "-packageName" option, then you have to run the build from the root directory of your JSP files. When you're running an automated build with ANT, it's not convenient to do this.
The likely result of this is that I would have to make sure that all of my JSP files are named differently, even if they're in different directories, and use the "-packageName" option to specify a particular package name for all of the generated source files.After more careful reading, I realized that using the "-appRoot" option (without using "-packageName") makes it possible for an ANT build to generate good package names (with directories).
The following note, however, in the ojspc documentation is kind of odd:
"It is advisable that you run ojspc once for each directory of your JSP application, so files in different directories can be given different package names, as appropriate."
I assume this is referring to using the "-packageName" option. If you don't need to use "-packageName", especially if you have multiple directories of JSP pages, it is much easier to just let ojspc pick the package names. -

Actually I want to create an object view or object table with all the details of division, department , cost center and operation and it will store depending upon the respective upper level hirarcy 's id.For eg. department details can be fetched through division id etc..
So I can't figure out what to do for this kind of structure and how to do that.

Thanks for your great suggestion.Actually what you have suggested is correct and it was tested by me correctly.But actually I want to store records in the multiple objects hirarcy depending upon the respective upper level hirarcy 's id.For say how can I retrive all records related to divisionID which is in the top level hirarchy? So by selecting divisionID=01, how can I easily select all depts,cost centers and Operation details?
Again I have another problem , when try to retrive record using PL/SQL I got some problem.

Two mail accounts with same name and SSL not allowed?!
Dear Common Wisdom:
I have two accounts in my Mail program with the same web host. That means the outgoing mail server has the same name.
If I put on SSL, though, it is not allowed to save two servers with the same name in two different accounts.
Can I get around this and still use SSL for both accounts?

KostasEach domain is expected to refer to its own unique database schema. Same SOA schema should not be shared by multiple SOA clusters/domains. It is technically possible though, I suppose, and still can run fine any one SOA environment at any given time with the other SOA environments/domains (sharing the same SOA schema) shutdown. It is not the general/recommended practice to share SOA schema across domains and there could be potential implications and unexpected behavior, particularly when the SOA environments pointing to the same schema are all running at a time.

ESS Business Package Error: Period type not allowed for profile ESS

We are trying to configure the business package for Employee Self Service on Enterprise Portal 6.0. We followed this SDN contribution <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/21eb036a-0a01-0010-25a3-b2224432640a">ESS doc guide</a>
So far we have successfully deployed the business packages and followed all the configurations that were pointed out in the doc guide. Unfortunately when we try to access the Employee Self-Service portal pages (Overview, Employee Search, etc), we encounter this error:
Critical Error:
Period type not allowed for profile ESS, error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE

Will a jni header accept a package name with "." in between
My java class for native function call is included in a package with name like "xxx.yyy.zzz"
So when I edit the jni class in header file generated to include the package name ,it shows error.

SSID with PSK not allowing clients to reconnect
I have a 2504 that has 2 SSID's configured. 1 SSID is corp and has WPA2-PSK enbabled and works just fine. SSID 2 is guest and I would like to lock it down with a WPA2-PSK. This works fine for 24hours then the clients that have been connected to SSID 2 can no longer connect. I have had a laptop, an Android phone, Ipad 2, and an Iphone all get kicked off SSID 2 after 24 hours. Even if I put the correct password in they can't connect to SSID 2 I end up resetting the password and then it happens again the next day. Any thoughts?

Unable to rotate pdf with script(not allowed error security settings prevent error)

Index failure for a PDF with Extraction Not Allowed

We have a few PDFs files protected against Page Extraction.
Is it possible to pass the password to the TREX Engine, somehow, in order to be able to index these files? We want to keep this protection, because the users should not be able to extract any information, when opening the documents.

JohnThe Template .dwt file is only used locally by DW itself, there's no reason to upload it to the server unless you intend to share it with someone. You have to upload each individual page that the Template updates, every time you update the template and propagate that change across the child pages.
It would probably be better to use a server side include. That way, you could update one file then upload it and all of your pages would automatically carry that update...

I recently upgraded to Numbers 3.5.2. I have an older Macbook Pro (2009) and I run Yosemite 10.10.2. I am unable to open any saved files that were created with earlier versions of Numbers. When I open the Numbers app, I am offered the Welcome To Numbers page. When I choose the 'Open Recent' option, I am offered the greyed names of files that I had recently used, however, I am unable to open any of these files (no error message is displayed). Welcome To Numbers stays on the screen. I tried opening the app by clicking on the file name but it produced the same results. I am having a similar problem with Pages. I suspect a compatibility problem between the new OSX and the new iWork offerings. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does it require a setting change or is it a bug?

SOA advance installaiton with database not allowing owsm to funtion
Friends,
I have installed windows SOA suite on Oracle database using advance installation option. As per instructions I have installed the SOA schemas before I did the SOA suite installation. The installation went fine and was able to start SOA suite but to my surprise I am not able to log into OWSM or WebService manager. I verified the Schema ORAWSM in our database, it is present.
If I do the SOA installation with Olite database everything works fine.
So, friends, I am sure some of you must have got this problem can any of you suggest me what else needs to done to fix this problem. I have installed 3 times, same problem.

please help....This is my first time syncing to itunes and it it asking me to allow access, please respond on your ipad. this is my problem becuase my display not showing up so i cannot respond.
the only thing i can think of that happened was when there was a software update a few days and thats it.
Anyone know how i can get this resolved please and thank you.Try this before trying to sync. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

I agree with Chris.
Since I installed Mavericks, ANY TIME I use File>Open or Save As from ANY app at all... I get a 30 second or longer view of the "spinner" going round and round until i can finally see the folder I etiher want to open a file from or save one to.
It's a real P.I.T.A. and I eagerly await the 10.9.1 update that will hopefully fix it. -

It isn't that it's an AVI that it's poor quality, it's down to the culture and individuals that steal and post it on the internet for others to download. If you use these sorts of services, you'll be plagued by poor quality video, infections on your computer and potentially a knock on the door.
You can get good quality movies from the iTunes Store that won't infect your computer and let you sleep peacefully in your bed at night. -
Function not found when package name exists with same name as schema name
Hi all, any help would be appreciated :)
I found an issue with pl/sql resolving a functions location when the db has a package name with the same as the db schema name.
My example:
-- arbitrary test function, not in any package
create or replace FUNCTION testFunc
inTest IN VARCHAR2
RETURN VARCHAR2
AS
BEGIN
RETURN 'a';
END;
-- There is a package called "FM" with functions that are not referenced or used in this example and the db schema is "FM".
-- The following PL/SQL fails with the message: "ORA-00904: "FM"."TESTFUNC": invalid identifier"
select cursor (select testFunc('a') from dual) from dual;
-- The following PL/SQL works:
select * from (select testFunc('a') from dual);
As mentioned the function testFunc is NOT in the FM package. This issue does not happen when I remove the FM package. So it seems like there is an issue with cursors calling functions when there exists any package with the same name as the db schema.
Can anyone tell me why this happens and also what I can add to force the function that is not in any package to be referenced (without Oracle trying to look in the FM package)?

In general I would not advice to have schema and objects with the same name.
Here is what documentation is saying here: How Name Resolution Differs in PL/SQL and SQL
PL/SQL uses the same name-resolution rules as SQL when the PL/SQL compiler processes a SQL statement, such as a DML statement. For example, for a name such as HR.JOBS, SQL matches objects in the HR schema first, then packages, types, tables, and views in the current schema.
PL/SQL uses a different order to resolve names in PL/SQL statements such as assignments and subprogram calls. In the case of a name HR.JOBS, PL/SQL searches first for packages, types, tables, and views named HR in the current schema, then for objects in the HR schema.As you can see above when using PL/SQL for your case Oracle searches first for packages, types, tables, and views named FM in the current schema, then for objects in the FM schema.
And because a package FM is found it is raising an error due to the fact that the procedure could not be found in that package.
