Packages deleting without jobs requests
We have a problem that packages are being deleting constantly according to the distmgr.log. this is going on non-stop for many days.
package distributions have come to a halt. nothing will distribute. nothing can be found in logs anywhere to indicate why.
we want to stop the deleting jobs. so we can troubleshoot and per chance packages will distribute in meantime.
we have a premier support engineer with us. so far no luck in determining cause or stopping the process.

Package deleted without reason [complaint]
Hi,
my pkg has been deleted from AUR. Reson:
The frontpage on AUR [1] states:
"Contributed PKGBUILDs must conform to the Arch Packaging Standards
otherwise they will be deleted!"
The sublime-text-2 package does not comply with the Arch Packaging
Standards [2]:
"Package names should consist of alphanumeric characters only; all
letters should be lowercase."
Oh rly? Which part in my pkgname was not alphanumeric? I see only hyphen so going that way you should delete half of AUR packages. All *-git, *-bzr etc.
Or maybe '-2' is wrong? Well, there is so many other popular packages containing numeric lika that, just search for it. Should they be all deleted too? Good luck with that
Well, I dont really care about this pkg now. I was going to disown it anyway coz too much frequent updates. Anyway it is bad that trusted user cannot comply to rules.

I'm the TU that deleted the package. The package had several problems and oddities. The files were installed to /usr/bin/sublime-text-2/ and the package name had the version number as part of the package name.
There also exists a package named just "sublime-text", that is a better written PKGBUILD, so there is no reason to keep the "sublime-text-2" around, despite the fact that it was submitted before the "sublime-text" package.
If my first reason was not enough, then installing all sorts of files in /usr/bin is covered by this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … irectories
You are almost right. Installation folder was wrong but I fix it today morning and after that package has been deleted . That was issue that exist for over half a year and now you wake up . Yes there is same program under 'correct' name but its based on my package and fixes posted in comments under my pkg. I was planning include this fixes, what I did today. After that both pkgs look the same. So it cant be reason to delete my pkg.
I feel really bad that my pkg was deleted when there is so much other messy packages on AUR. Not to mention out-dated for few years. -

E-recruiting - Copy of a Job request requisition without the name Copy
Hi experts,
I have a challenge here in the customer I'm working for. They want that when an user creates a copy of a job request requisition which is already related to a job posting, the system does not name it as "copy of requisition XXXXXX", but create the new requisition as "requisition number XXXXXX".
Is that possible? Does somebody knows if it's possible via customize or if a enhancement will be necessary?
Thanks in advance for your help!
ThaisHello,
I don't think this would be possible through configuration. Assuming you are on EHP 4, you have to use the enhancment framework to achieve this. This is in method COPY_REQUISITION of component ERC_C_REQ_MGMT_UI.

How to delete the open requests in the LBWQ
Hi guys ... Can any one let me know how to delete / update the open requests in the queue . I need to delete the Open requests in the LBWQ...we are applying patches and for that we need to delete from LBWQ and RSA7...I guess there is an ABAP report which will deletes the open requests...Can any one let me know that report name please
Thanks in advance...
regards
Edited by: sam on Dec 17, 2007 6:15 PMIf your job control runs fine then best thing is to transfer the records from LBWQ to RSA7 and pull it to BW. If you do this all your delta data is intact and you do not loose any delta data. But if you delete the LBWQ you potentially loose all youre delta data. You can go to LBWE and start the job control and move data to RSA7 and then pull it to BW.
But i am not very clear why you wish to delete this data ? If you do this then better you reinitialize all your delta data by following your normal procedure of filling up the setup tables and then initalizing in BW. -
How to delete the compressed Request ID in the info cube... ?
Hi BW Gurus,
one of the info package will upload the request in to three data targets and failed due to error with duplicate records. I am able to delete the bad request in two data targets and facing problem with one data target due to the request is available in green and got compressed.
The reasons why i am unable to delete the request in that data target is it is already got compressed and rolledup.
I tried with selective deletion based on same request ID i have done that successfully but the request still presents in the data target. I have checked in listcube and found no data for the request id.
now i have one more question like the request has bring down to status not ok in the monitor and done selective deletion will it be a problem on the data missing please advise me if any data missing will occur for the particular data target.
can any one help on this. Thanks in Advance.
Venkat.Hi Venkat
You have one way to delete the compressed request
But this is possible only if u have the request in PSA
If the request is in PSA, do reverse posting
This will nullify the particular bad request by changing the press sign into - and - sign into + for all the records went in the cube for that particular request

Do you have any idea regarding this issue.
Thansk & Regards,
kaushalHello Kaushal,
you habe to link user, key user i.e. a business partner (BP), and managed system and this work like this:
a) User <-> BP: start transaction BP, assign role Employee to your business partner and enter the user name on tab Identification
b) BP <-> managed system: start transaction BP, select role General and enter the External System Identifier (format: <managed system ID> <installation number> <client> <user in managed system>) on tab Identification
Alternative: Use transaction BP_GEN to create valid business partners for managed systems
See also the Solution Manager Implementation Guide (IMG):
-> transaction SPRO
.> SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide
-> SAP Solution Manager
-> Cross-Scenario Settings
then
-> Business Partners
and
-> iBase
(Note that IMG path (and labels) might vary in between support packages)

hi all,
we a have a data target which was compressed and rolled up...
please do suggest us how to go for selective deletion if the data target was rolled up???
on what basis we need to do the selective deletion ??
thanks for ur understanding...
suggestions would be highly rewarded
regards
PrinceHi,
in the subsequent datatargets of your ODS:
if the requests are only rolled up, then you can delete those requests; now if your aggregates are collapsed then you'll have to dactivate them and reactivate them after. If not you can simply delete them.
then delete all the requests from your ODS up to the request right after the missing one. This will deactivate you ODS delta init. This is not a problem since when you'll have finished with the above your ODS and subsequent targets will have a consistent status in terms of data.
Reinit your ODS delta without datatransfer, reconstruct your missing request and the subsequent requests in your ODS.
Reactivate them (not all together as a single activation, but separately).
Then load the delta into your subsequent targets.
Now if the subsequent datatargets are collapsed then you'll have to either reinit with full load or selective delete them. the missing request in your ODS still must be reloaded before!
If you go for selective deletion you'll have to find the right selection criteria based on the data of your ODS. For instance if you can ensure that only a selected period is incorrect (all the ODS requests from the missing one to the last only contain data for JAN08) then you can selectively delete JAN08 from your subseq targets and perform a FULL load selecting JAN08 from your ODS.
Then perform an INIT without data transfer... you can then continue your deltas as usual....
hope this helps....

hi all,
i am working on ECC6.0.
i am not able to find the path to delete background job completly.
can any body give me the navigation for the same in ECC6.0
Thanks in advancehi
hopen ths wll help
To delete a background job explicitly, use:
BP_JOB_SELECT to obtain the jobname and job number of the job that you wish to delete.
You can select jobs according to all of the criteria available in the interactive background processing management system:
Jobname: Using a well-planned naming convention for your jobs will help you to select them precisely.
Job number
Name of the user who scheduled a job
Specifications for the start-time window/no start time scheduled
Start dependent upon predecessor jobs
Start dependent upon an event and event argument
Job status (preliminary, scheduled, ready, running, finished, aborted).
BP_JOB_DELETE to delete the job. The job log is deleted as well, if the job has already been run.
A job cannot delete itself. Also, a job that is currently running cannot be deleted. However, you can have it deleted automatically if it is completed successfully. See the DELANFREP parameter of JOB_OPEN.
Sample Program: Deleting a Background Job
Data declarations: BP_JOB_SELECT
DATA JSELECT LIKE BTCSELECT.
DATA SEL_JOBLIST LIKE TBTCJOB OCCURS 100 WITH HEADER LINE.
Sample selection criteria
JSELECT-JOBNAME = 'Name of job'.
JSELECT-USERNAME = SY-UNAME.
CALL FUNCTION 'BP_JOB_SELECT'
EXPORTING
JOBSELECT_DIALOG = BTC_NO
JOBSEL_PARAM_IN = JSELECT
IMPORTING
JOBSEL_PARAM_OUT = JSELECT
TABLES
JOBSELECT_JOBLIST = SEL_JOBLIST
EXCEPTIONS NO_JOBS_FOUND = 1
SELECTION_CANCELED = 2
OTHERS = 99.
In this example, the program loops over the internal table
SEL_JOBLIST and deletes each of the jobs that was selected.
Alternative: Have the user select the job to be deleted
with BP_JOBLIST_PROCESSOR. For an example, please see
Sample Program: Wait for Predecessor Job with JOB_CLOSE.
LOOP AT SEL_JOBLIST.
CALL FUNCTION 'BP_JOB_DELETE'
EXPORTING
FORCEDMODE = 'X'
JOBNAME = SEL_JOBLIST-JOBNAME
JOBCOUNT = SEL_JOBLIST-JOBCOUNT
EXCEPTIONS
OTHERS = 99.
ENDLOOP. *
FORCEDMODE deletes the job header even if other portions of the
job cannot be deleted from the TemSe facility, where they are
held.
FORCEDMODE can be used without fear of causing problems in the
System. Any TemSe problem that affects background jobs can be
resolved directly in the TemSe system and does not require the
job header.

Basically we will use this option while loading the data through data source which dosn't support delta and every time it is a full load and data need to be loaded on daily basis. This we will use to avoid manul intervension in deleting the previous request from the data target every time.
Suppose if the loading is through the process chain and if it is of 3.x data flow means then u can keep this deletion of over lapping req at info package level, but if it is BI 7.0 flow means then it should be maintained at process chain varient level.
In BI 7.0 Flow: Varient -
> DELETE OVERLAPPING REQUESTS (give the DTP) -
> DELETION SELECTION -
> SELECT THE OPTIONS accordingly.

Pick out the SSIS package from a job
Hi Everyone,
I have a SQL 2k5 instance. Previously someone embedded a SSIS package in a job and I just want to look into the SSIS package to understand the logics. However, in the job property, the package source is "SQL Server" and I don't know where I can
find the package itself(actually I tried open corresponding integration service but found nothing) and make a copy. Could someone give me some advice? Thank you very much.
regards,
OliverHi Jens,
Thanks for your reply. Actually 2 of the job parameters are as below:
Package Source: SQL Server
Server: DE-S-0157590\DE_S_0157590
I tried to connect to integration service "DE-S-0157590", and I expanded every folder in the object panel but didn't find any SSIS package there. Could you please give some more suggestions? Thanks a lot.
Hi Oliver_Wang,
According to your description, we need to verify if someone has delete the SSIS package which is used in your job, I recommend you run this job and check if the job can execute successfully. Or you can choose “Edit” in the job steps and check if the SSIS
package exists in select an SSIS Package Box.
If the package indeed exist, we need to verify if you choose the right SQL Server instance. In addition, when you connect to integration service, we need to verify if your login account has permission to view the SSIS package and so on. There is an article
about SQL Server Agent jobs for packages, you can review it.

Hello,
My spool is full Could i delete old spool request if i deleted is there any impact on system ??/
the spool request now reached into 31,901 so what steps i have to take please guide.
Regards
Deepak
Edited by: DEEPAK Somvanshi on Jul 6, 2010 6:35 PMHi Deepak,
1. Check whether background job SAP_REORG_SPOOL with the report RSPO0041/RSPO1041 is running properly or not.
2. If running properly, Goto t-code SP01, enter from and to dates for "Date Created" and execute. Spool requests get displayed. Select any one spool request and check the request attributes(F8). If you're able to see date under "deleted on" as either 12/31/2099 or 01/01/2100, this is due to kernel problem. For this you've to apply the new kernel as per the below note.
Note 1423484 - Wrong date on cover page for spool requests
Hope this would help you.

Is it is possible to delete released transport requests...
Hi Experts,
I had created transport request and it is released, moved to quality with errors. I dont know why I am getting errors while transporting the request, Now I am creating another transport request. Is it any possibility to delete released transport request or is there any solution for this. why I am getting errors while transporting from dev to quality.
Thanks & Regards,
RAJHI,
Its not possible to delete the released transport request. You should have to follow transport procedure .
T-code for Transport Connection- Check in SE09/se10 for creating requests.
For collecting objects you have go Transport connection without missing the objects.
SE03 for checking the Request objects.
Go to transport connection in RSA1 Select u r Data target or report what ever it may be in development sys & select only necessary objectsu2026 click on transport optionu2026u2026it will ask the transport request create new req. go to SE-9 release the objectu2026go to STMS import u2026RELEASE The objects in quality sysu2026same procedure to production sys.
Thanks

Has anyone verified the temp readings as of the 3.7 bios?
Just flashed my bios to 3.7. 3.6 reported 38- 43°C idle, 60-64°C load. 3.7 show 32-36°C idle to 55°C load. Temps look nice, but how accurate are they? Has anyone used a probe to verify the accuracy of the temps? I wonder how close the readings a
