Pacman cant download packages upgrade doesnt work SOLVED

Pacman is complaining that there is no package to download. Also to each server it connnects gives error 404.
I checked my mirrorlist and I have enough servers checked there. Also I think there noting wrong with pacman.conf.
My system was not upgraded for at least 2 years.
Here I tried to upgrade one of the packages.

Pacman is broken now.
pacman -Syu
pacman: error while loading shared libraries: libarchive.so.12: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Followed all the news and changes from year 2010. My problem was that I could not upgrade pacman to version 4 (is 3.5 npw). But now even the current version 3.5 is broken.
I will have to manually install pacman or what ?
Q: pacman is completely broken! How do I reinstall it?
A: In the case that pacman is broken beyond repair, manually download the necessary packages (openssl, libarchive, and pacman) and extract them to root. The pacman binary will be restored along with its default configuration file. Afterwards, reinstall these packages with pacman to maintain package database integrity. Stupid question, I know - but I seem to be having a tough time finding the docs or config that describes where pacman stores the downloaded packages during upgrades and installs.

Iboostup is giving app corrupted please delete and download error, this doesnt work, their app says its an appstore problem..please can you help?

iboostup says its corrupted and to reload fRom store, I have followed instructions deleted it and also tried to delete the file that the FAQ says also should be deletd - that cant be found and the redownloaded version still doesnt work, help please?

If nothing thee helps, installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
reinstalls the App Store for you which may help.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed then try the App Store.
By the way.. this app is apparently just a utility for when your Mac beccomes slow and unresponsive. You don't need an app for that.
Not enough free space on the startup disk can cause this issue.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on the Desktop.
Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

If disk space is not the issue, run Disk Utility to verify and if necesssary, repair the startup disk.

If the touch screen physically doesn't work, it's too late to back it up. You should have been syncing your contacts with something... a cloud service or contact manager on a PC. If you were not, then I'm afraid you're going to lose them.

Pacman files downloaded, and saved to. [Solved]

I was wondering, I looked on Arch Wiki first, but didn't find what I needed, where does pacman download files that you later install, for example pacman -S kde I know there must be a place where KDE files must be stored, unless pacman automatically cleans up unnecessary files after it installs the package, if not, where would I go to remove the left overs, now since KDE is installed, I feel I don't need the KDE installation files, since it's already installed.

I would highly recommend NOT doing pacman -Scc. It wont hurt anything, but then it will remove ALL packages from /var/cache/pacman/pkg- if in the future you need to downgrade a package that introduces a bug, you will not be able to via pacman's cache. Now, there is the ARM and the Download script in the AUR that can assist you with downgrading, but these also rely on your network working and take time to grab each package.
A better approach is to run pacman -Sc. This will clear all packages EXCEPT ones currently installed. So, if you use your system a while, seems to have no bugs, then you can run pacman -Sc to clear everything except the packages currently installed. Just a suggestion...

Can you try this
curl -u <username>:<password> http://<host>:<port>/<path to package in repository> -o <destination file>
Example - curl -u admin:admin http://localhost:4502/etc/packages/my_packages/test.zip -o ./test.zip
if you don't use option "-o filepath" then it will write output stream to system output may be because of that you are not able to see the download.

I have an ipod mini 4g and when i download songs it doesnt work!

I have a ipod mini 4g that iv had for about a year and awhile ago i noticed that when i downloaded songs from itunes they worked for a little while then they just wouldnt play! the song name showed on the screen for a second but then it just skipped it and went onto the next song that i downloaded from a cd. i tried deleting it and putting it back on through the library but it did the same thing! what am i doing wrong

It used to work, but after I wait for the FB like option goes off and the download bar appears, I click on it and nothing happens. So I went into extensions and clicked on remove thinking I would start over, but now, the mp3 downloader isn't even there anymore. What do I do now to get it back?

Hello< so i posted this question because my ipod touch thats about a year to 2 years old has stopped turning on randomly. I was using it not even 5 mins before this happened and all it was doing was sitting on my lap while i was texting some quickly before i was going to go back on. when i tried to it would not turn on i tried holding the power button iot did not work, so i left it pluged in for the night in hoping it wold turn back on. when i woke up this morning it did not, so i tried pluging it in to my computer to see if it would show something so i could at least reset it but it did not. so now i am stuck.
If anyone could help me out that would be wonderful!

[SOLVED] fluxbox middle click to group tabs doesnt work[solved]

I remember that a while ago when I installed fluxbox thatmiddle clicking the titlebar and dragging it to another window will group them together, but this does'nt happen anymore... I've tried every possible combination with the mouse and I can't get them to group together. I even installed and uninstall and built fluxbox from source from scratch. I can't find any documentation that says something changed. What happended? Any input on this will be greatly appreciated.

My system works as you describe (middle click titlebar and drag). I believe this functionality is controlled by your ~/.fluxbox/keys file. In my 'keys' file, I have the following line.
OnTitlebar Mouse2 :StartTabbing
Perhaps your 'keys' file has changed.

If you're using xorg 7 from testing, you'll need to fix the RgbPath in xorg.conf.

Where does pacman stores downloaded programs?

I am trying to use Grip but need to find the path for lame I used pacman -S lame now i need to link the encoder excutable to the full path were lame was placed by pacman

Pacman downloads packages to /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ by default. Pacman then unpacks them and installs them on your system. If you need to find the full path to an executable, use the "which" command:
which lame
That will display the full path to lame. To see the full path to all files belonging to lame, you could do this:
pacman -Ql lame

Not yet. There was an upgrade page to 10.8.2 for the late 2012 models but it's down now. I have to assume that Apple pulled it because of some bugs. I would look for something next week, more likely than not. In the meantime, the OP should be good with 10.8.1 until the update shows up again.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
