Padding OUTSIDE application container?

Still trying to figure out an issue that has me baffled, although I do keep coming up with new ways to describe the issue. What's happening is this: I'm getting padding OUTSIDE of the application container when I view my flex application in IE running under Windows 7. Any other browser/OS combo is fine - looks normal with no extra padding.
In the example below I've made the application container 1px smaller on each side so you can see the padding appearing outside the application container's scrollbars.
This will (as far as I can tell) look normal to you unless you are using IE in Win7:

Plesae let us know what you are trying to do. This happens sometimes if you removed
the app definition from admin console and did not bring down the admin server
but try to reboot managed servers.
As a general fix remove the app definition from the config and bring down the
whole domain (all servers, admin and managed) and bring them up and then add app
definition and deploy it. This should fix it.

Error occurs when i try to install a built application containing Web services VIs

Hello,
at the moment i am trying to create and install a built application containing a Web server and Web services VIs. I did the steps as described here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/7747/en#toc13
But when I install my application on the target PC the following error occurs after the installation:
Error2: Failed to perform action
"[LV2011RTEDIR]LVWS\NILVWSPostInstallerScript.exe"
"[ProgramFilesFolder]DeployWebServices\Webservice.lvws"
What did I do wrong? The project example is attached
Development system: LV2011 SP1, WIn7
Target PC: Win7, no LabVIEW, but ALL possible additional installer/run-times installed

Hi,
long time ago, but I can remember. You have to copy a folder.
e.g. I have the file in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\2013\LVWS , but there is no LVWS folder in \Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\2012
(I have a new computer, and for some reason I'm also missing the file in the LV2012 folder now.)
Try to copy from another version to 2012 U(or download my fzip). I also don't now, why it is missing. Maybe something during the LV2012 installion was wrong.

BC product catalog stays outside div container

BC Ecommerce catalog content strays outside div container.

looks like the class .container in bootstrap.css line #5401 is setting the width of your layout to 1170px. Which is over riding an eariler setting for same class up on line #202 in bootstrap.css. Since your table is set to 100% of it's overall container you are getting the overhang. if you change that setting to 940px (which is probably what you wanted anyway), the products should be within site layout.

Remove all children from application container

I have a portion of script in my flex application (.mxml) like this:

I have to make this function because "this.removeAllChildren" doesn't work,
and "this.rawChildren" doesn't have a function called removeAllChildren.
But I guess this script will fail when the numChildren is smaller than the largest index of children.
I believe it fails in this case because there's an existing function in rawChildren to set the index
of a child: rawChildren.setChildIndex. What if I set the index of a child to be 999999?

the gradient of the blue image can be seen, not so clearl but visible.

I am using an applicationsTable in my jsff page and as per the requirement, have to set the property primaryToolbarRendered="false".

Any pointers on how can I hide this space will be helpful.

The application module is the main point of contact for the ViewObject and EntityObject classes. It handles things like the connection pooling and other coordination aspects.
You need to go through the app module to access the ViewObject class methods.

Built Application containing VISA resource name control in Labview 7.1 not working

Very new to Labview (student). I built an application (my first)that uses VISA serial in Labview 7.1. The application contains a VISA resource name control. The program worked when silmulated, but not when built as app. When I removed this control from the application and made it a constant - the app worked. Any reason for this? A way around it perhaps? Would love an answer. I did make sure the Run-time engin is correctly installed and that it is not the problem. Thanks, Madri

Is it posible to run soa application outside of container?

Does SOA applicarion has to be deployed to a container (such as weblogic)? is it posble to run as a standalone command applications? for exampel. a SOA application as simple as just call a web service, is it posible to run it without container?

SOA Suite is dependent on an Application Server such as WebLogic. It must also be deployed into a JVM or managed server. Containers is a term we used to give JVMs in iAS, these are the equivalent to WebLogic managed servers.
So I think to answer your question, the answer is no.
Even basic java web services need to be run in a JVM, as they are applications exposed as a web service. This can become confusing as JDev and Eclipse have built in application servers that apps get deployed to during development.

Trying to write to a directory outside the container

I want to write to the equivalent of C:\store, however, because I'm using Linux, I want to write to /store. I have tried adding

All Applications Appear Outside Applications Folder On Hard Drive!!!!!!!!

Normally when you open the Hard Drive you should see the Applications Folder together with several other items.
I have just noticed that ALL my applications are OUTSIDE the Applications Folder and the folder has no disclosure triangle.
I cannot make the apps go back into their folder out of sight.
If I double click the folder all the apps appear normally.
Everything seems to work normally except the apps are always visible in the HD folder.
Any ideas on what has happened and how I can make them appear as they used to?
I don't know whether it has been like this for a while and I have only just noticed it?

The HD window was not fully open and the left hand edge (containing the disclosure triangles) was covered.
By moving the blue lozenge (at the bottom) to the left, all was revealed

Refresh JNDI tree when accessing from outside the container

Hello,
I wrote a tool (a simple main class) which runs a thread to simply check the DataSources stored in an Application Server's JNDI tree (to see, if they can be used by other tools).
The problem is: Once the thread is running, it always gets the same DataSource back, no matter if the DS's properties changed. Let me describe what happens:
1. I defined a DataSource in Orion 2.0.5's data-sources.xml
2. Testing it with an application in the container works fine.
3. I start my external tool, which gets the DataSource and checks it - it works
4. Then I stop the container and change the DataSource props in a way that the connection won't be established (i.e. wrong url)
5. After restarting the container, the aplication in the container throws the expected SQLException
6. But the external tool (which is still running) does its next lookup for the DataSource and gets a valid one and claims that everything is fine.
Well, it seems to me that the external tool outside of the container somehow gets a copy of the JNDI tree (or something) and does no real lookup, but I just don't know. Another hint is, that - unless I do a context.list(""); before looking up the object - the container did not even need to run after the first lookup from the external tool - it just needed one lookup and afterwards I could stop the container without having the external tool recognizing any changes. Well, it at least recognizes that now by the above mentioned context.list(""); ...
I hope I explained it right, let me just add some code of my tool.

Applications Appear Permanently OUTSIDE Applications Folder In HD Window!!!

No - it's not an FCE question but I have asked elsewhere with no luck.
Yesterday after I had been moving and deleting some redundant applications I noticed that when I opened the "HD Window" the Applications Folder was there as usual but no longer had a disclosure triangle.
Furthermore all the applications were outside it and would not go back in. See the screenshot:-

It is not a problem as such, because everything seems to work normally and when I double-click the applications folder just the applications appear as is normal.
However, it is not normal to have them all permanently on display in the HD window.
It may have been caused by moving or dropping something in the wrong place.
Any ideas how to get it back to its normal appearance?

The answer was provided by JMVP on the eMac forum.
The HD window was not fully open and the left hand edge (containing the disclosure triangles) was covered.
By moving the blue lozenge (at the bottom) to the left, all was revealed.
Guess who's face is redder than usual!
