for first 2 pages only print footer not for 3rd page

please refer to Note 743605. TotalPages() cannot be used in a formula, so steps as per Note should be performed to check if page is last page.
Please note that I created the Note for an older Version of Business One, but that the logic is still the same.

Hi,
I have a report set up where one can pull invoice information. There is a page footer used for every page which contains a field that I only want visible when it is the last page of the group.
For example, one might pull several invoices, each invoice being its own group. A field would be suppressed in the footer unless it is the last page of that particular invoice.
Is this something that can be done in Crystal Reports XI?

Alright, it's a bit rusty but here's how you can do it:
1) Create this formula and place it in the Report Header:
whileprintingrecords;
numbervar n1 := groupnumber;
2) Create this formula and place it in the Group Footer:
whileprintingrecords;
numbervar n := groupnumber;
3) Create this formula and place it on the Page Footer:
whileprintingrecords;
numbervar n;
4) Right-click the above formula (Formula on the Page Footer) and select Format Field > Common tab > click the formula button beside 'Suppress' and use this formula:
numbervar n1;
numbervar x;
if currentfieldvalue <> n1 then
x := 1;
true;
else
x := 0;
true;
5) Right-click the field that you wish to always suppress except on the last page and select Format Field > Common tab > click the formula button beside 'Suppress' and use this formula:
numbervar x;
if x = 1 then true;

I designed form for invoice print ,in that for multiple pages footer should be print on last page only and hight of the main window should be increase (means if footer will display on last page then space of footer should be used for main window in multiple
page format)
for eg .if i have 12 item so 5 items displyed on each page but i want to print 10 item on first page and remaing on second and after that i want to print footer.

Has you tried to create a "new page" copy of FIRST, and make it the LAST_PAGE... On it you are going to create the desired footer.
The Page Secuence will be something like this:
If you are trying to print 12 items, then PAGE 1 (10 items) -> LAST_PAGE (2 remaining items).

Footer window should be in Last Page

Hi to all..
I have a issue in printing a form..
I have to print the footer window only to the last page.
i have tried all the possiblities like enabled the option 'Only after end of the main window' in the alternative of the footer and added 'At end of the table' in the table footer of the main window.
But still facing the problem of overlapping the main window to the final footer.
i hope you guys can understand what i mean to say..

then the above statement write in the footer window editor.

I used NEW-PAGE END in the main window but it is not working and also I trired with CONTROL_FORM this also not working.

      element = 1

Crystal Reports 9: Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.

Hi,
I have a report that has the following sections.
GH1
GH2a
GH2b - has a sub report
GH2c - has another sub report
GH3
GH4
GH5
details - suppressed
GF5 - suppressed
GF4 - suppressed
GF3 - suppressed
GF2 - suppressed
GF1 - suppressed
The report works fine wehn I run it using Crystal Designer.I am using CR version 9.2.2.693.
When I try to load the report in my application, I get the following error.

Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.Error in File rptName.rpt:
Page header or footer longer than a page.
OK
There are no 'suppress blank sections' option set in the sections where the sub-Reports are.
I also tried setting the No Default Printer option.
The report gets loaded from the application only when I set 'New Page after' in the sections where there are sub-Reports.
I do not want to do this; Is there a workaround?

Can someone tell me if this problem is being worked on as it looks as thogh none of the problems regarding the message u2018Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the pageu2019 have been addressed.
We have several reports that were written in Crystal 7 (I think) and worked in Crystal 9 and X1R2 but now give the above error. We have tried jigging the report in line with the various suggestions but at best can get them to run through successfully with one lot of data and then fail on the second or subsequent pages when you vary the data or report format even slightly. We can report on every bit of data separately or in various combinations but not in others. Changing the bottom page margin by 0.01 cm can cause it to fail on page 7 instead of page 530 (for example). We certainly do not have large page headers (just over 2cm) or page footers (about 0.3cm). We do have some subreports in the details section but have used 'fit to section', added 'keep together', removed u2018keep togetheru2019 from just about everything we can (in desperation) but to no avail. We cannot see a pattern to what is happening. It would be encouraging to know that someone is actually working on this fault.

Page number shows up on the last page only

I have a report that includs 5 sub reports. After modifing the order of the sub reports per user requests, I lost the page number (Page N of M ) on each page except the last page. The same thing happened before on a cross-tab report without any sub report in it.

Sapscript bottom text in Main, just for the last page, but printing only in the last page

I need to print a text but only for the last page in the main window.
I have tried with IF.
IF &PAGE& = &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES&
BOTTOM
....TEXT
ENDBOTTOM
ENDIF
But it prints in all pages in every main window.
Can someone point me what I am doing wrong or how can I do this?

the problem with this condition is the following.
The Sapscript composer cannot know during the processing of e.g. the first page,
how many pages will follow. So &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES& still contains the same
value like& PAGE& and is filled with the correct values only at the very end of the processing.
(when the total number of pages is known).
So I suggest you to use the BOTTOM command in the print program,
when the processing of all item of the MAIN window is ended.
There is an other variable &NEXTPAGE&. &NEXTPAGE& will always be 0
when it reaches to last page to print. The problem with this variable that
it can not be used in a condition in MAIN window too, only in a separate page window.

Output page footer if group details overflow single page

My report is all group details, with no page footer or headers, but I want to have a page footer output something like "continued on next page" only if that group continues on the next page, if there is a new group, then I want it suppressed.
I can't figure out where to put it, since one of the detail sections has the sub-report that causes it to go to a second page. I can't just say if there is a second page put it on, because they may print many groups of records at the same time, and each "group" is really its own report, so I don't want to indicate there is another page to that, since there isn't to that "group"
Make any sense? What am I missing (I will admit to being a CR newbie). Does one of the print state variables help with this?

Actually I tried to suppress like so:

Details is a formula which is counting the number of purchased products in the Order. Once it reaches 15, the group goes over the next page and all I need is to print some text on that page, and go to the next page. The footer is holding the space reserved for it and on other pages where I don't need the footer to show up it reserves a lot of space.
Also I tried to place it into a fake group footer, but because I only need it to show up when it goes on the next page in that group this solution didn't work as well.
Is there a function which will tell the footer to print like so:
DETALTS - NEW PAGE AFTER - {@Details} = 14
PAGE FOOTER - {@Details} = 14 - Print it
PAGE FOOTER - {@Details} <> 14 - Do not Print it and do not reserve space for it.

Multiple pages in SP01 (spool) but only last page printed to printer.

Here is a strange situation. I have 28 pages in one spool request, but when I print it out, only the last page printed out... Where are the 27 pages? Even though I use printing setting (From page 1 to page 28), it still printed last page only...

How to display PDF in slideshow, without returning to the first page or stall/halt on the last page?

I want to display PDF's with multiple pages as a slideshow.
This is possible with a default Adobe Reader and have this working for ONE pdf file.
But I want do display multiple PDF's as a slideshow, the one after the other.
In Adobe Reader you can define to return to the first page again or it automatically 'stalls/halts' at the last page.
But I want Adobe Reader to close after the last page is displayed so it continues (in a simple DOS-script) with a second, third, etc. PDF to be displayed.
Is this possible?
What kind of simple DOS-script kan be used or an other reader/utility?

I was looking for ways to script this kind of solution.
But do not have good results. There are tools to combine pdf's into one large pdf - but mostly to be selected by hand.
We need it in a scriptable way to automate.
Additionally, we want to be able to combine different types of documents to rotate as a slide show (so not only PDF's but also pictures or other output).
If you or someone else have such scripts, it will be highly appreciated.

Despite setting a Home Page Firefox always opens in the last page viewed. How do I solve this?

I have followed the instructions for setting a Home Page. Firefox always opens in the last page I viewed. Clicking on the Home icon does take me to my Home Page once Firefox has opened.

You can check if you have an user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.

Your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
you can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Setting Printer Acrobat XI Default to print all PDF files last page first

I have just recently upgraded to Mavericks and also have the Creative Cloud using Acrobat XI Pro. In using Reader 9, whenever I printed a PDF the output would print in reverse order, so all I would have to do is take it from the printer and hand it off; it would be in the correct order. How do I setup Acrobat XI Pro to accomplish the same settings (print in reverse order) on not only 1 PDF, but all PDF files? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Can a print preset be created that would work for all PDF files and not just the one opened? Just trying to find out since no one has answered my question in 2 days and Tech Support wasn't much help.

When I go on a page, content is not display UNTIL I go to that specific part of the page. Usually all content on a page is shown ahead of time. How do I fix it?

The setting was there before. I remember an option for it, but I don't think it's there anymore.

Last Page Header and Footer in XML Report

Hi
I have one requirement , where except last page for an invoice, all other pages should have one header.
Last page should have nothing header and in Body some information(Total details) should be displayed and in footer terms and conditions should be displayed.
if one page is there for invoice , in second page (total details) and terms and conditions should be displayed.
Any one who already faced this issue please suggest how can proceed for requirements

I need a large footer to appear at the bottom of the last page
I have made a section break: new page
I have created a field with the contents <?start@last-page-first:body?><?end body?>
I have run the report to create an RTF file and the last page footer appears on all the pages
But if I run it to PDF the footer does the right thing and only appears on the last page
If I create a Powerpoint document it works OK
It only fails in the format that I require, RTF?
Any ideas how to fix this?
