Page Problems - Move an area

Question

Hi All,
I think this is probably down to my inexperience with DreamWeaver CS4...
I have attached the files I am working with.
I want to move the main item of the menu buttons / image below it to the top of the screen, I will then embed a flash swf in its current location.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to move the items / area to the top of the page - can someone please help me?
Also, it looks a lot nicer and neater in dreamweaver than when it does when I preview it in IE or Chrome, and ideas why?

Both your <div id="container"> and your <div id="header"> have padding-top: 50px;
So right off the bat, you have 100px of cotton padding at the top of the page. Removing those two padding-top properties and values from your style selectors for those two divs will move you that much up the page.
You can add a div beneath the top matter, as:

    <div id="header"><div>
        <ul>
            <li><a href="#idea" class="on">Home</a></li>
            <li><a href="#code">About Us</a></li>
            <li><a href="#author">Staff</a></li>
            <li><a href="#contact">Rooms</a></li>
            <li><a href="#contact">News</a></li>
            <li><a href="#contact">Contact Us</a></li>
        </ul>
        <h1> </h1>
    </div></div>
    <div id="flashvideo"></div>
In your stylesheet, add the following:
div#flashvideo {
     height: 100px;
     width: 900px;
     margin: 0 auto;
of course, name the div what you want, and make the height to your choosing; width, too.
