Page properties and privilege

I need to copy an entire folder inside a pagegroup,
and I need to change many properties.
I just use the api wwsec_api.set_group_acl to change access privilege,
but I need to change also other pages properties:
- flag on access tab properties: access_setting: specify access setting (for bypass template settings)
- flag on approval tab properties: define new approval routing and add new approval step.
Can I use an API to do this?
Or Can I set this properties working on portal tables directly ? And which tables?
Thanks in advance,
Fabio

No, direct access to the Portal tables is not supported - you can invalidate your support agreement if you modify the schema or update the tables directly, except through the APIs and Views documented in the Portal Development Kit.

  • Page Properties and Text Rollovers

    I have been trying to create simple text rollovers for my
    page and have ran into a confusing problem. In Page Properties, I
    used the link feature to make a word in green text turn orange when
    the mouse rolls over it. This works fine. However, what if I want
    another piece of text on the same page to have a
    different text rollover? Is there an option to override the
    Page Property setting (without using flash text?) Because now
    whenever I create a link, it automatically turns the word green
    with an orange rollover!
    My page is not uploaded to the net yet, but please help me!
    This is driving me
    insane!

    You need to take some time to learn how to control links.
    Read this, it
    goes on to cover how to create multiple instances of
    different colored
    links.

  • Page properties and logo missing after renaming folder

    When renaming one of my folders I got the message that the
    application is updating all links. The renamed pages look normal on
    my desktop when viewed in a browser. I uploaded the renamed folder
    to my website and found to my chagrin that the page logo and page
    properties are missing. I had changed nothing else in the website
    files or folders. Can anyone tell what went wrong?

    You renamed a folder and didn't upload your images into the
    renamed folder.
    For example, you say your logo would be here -
    http://www.onejackdaw.com/My_NA_Birds_Gallery/content/logo.png
    but it's actually still here -

    I have clicked on something that is making my page properties
    keep reverting to the default. I used to be able to go to the page
    properties and set them but now I set them and as soon as I click
    back on the area that I want to modify it automatically reverts
    back to the default font and the text color changes back to the

    Please start with creating a new page.
    I need to know exactly what you have on that page before you

    just copy the a: pseudo links in you style sheet
    paste them to somewhere else, and prefix them with:
    .footerGrey
    .footerGrey a { font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica,
    sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    color: #333333;}
    .footerGrey a:link { color:blue; }
    .footerGrey a:visited { color:purple; }
    .footerGrey a:focus { color:orange; }
    a:active { color:navy; }
    OK ?

  • Overriding Page Properties

    I have been looking for a way to override my page properties in Dreamweaver in order to apply a different color link to some specific text on the page. I followed the instructions on the link listed below and it worked great when I previewed the page in Firefox. Unfortunately, the link I am trying to control is a phone number. The purpose is to allow the viewer to select the phone number when they view the site on an iPhone of Blackberry in order to make the call.
    Both iPhone and Blackberry want to still use the page properties and not the override rules.
    I've got the site posted at http://www.eccodesign.com/centerstone_management/bent_oaks/index.html
    There are two lines of text in the masthead. One reads "welcome to" and the other is the phone number. They are both coded the same but appear differently on both the iPhone and the Blackberry.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Desparate in Dallas!

    But, both the online version and the handheld version need to come from the same files.
    I dont know what that means, but you can have more than one stylesheet attahced to a page, the one for the handhelds would be applied to the phones, the one for the screen would be for monitors.  There is plenty of info abound about it.

  • CSS rules vs. page properties

    Hello,
    I have taken over a website which is already built. I'm very,
    very new to all this, please bear with me.
    I am trying to apply styles etc; I have a CSS sheet which I
    like and incorporate in pages but it seems that some styles are
    conflicting -between the CSS sheet, the page properties and even my
    left menu.
    As a result, when I load some pages on the website, they 1st
    show a certain style (very briefly) then jumps to the "final"
    style.
    Which style tool supercedes the others and how can I control
    them better?
    Thank you,
    Caroline

    The style closest (in the code) to the element being styled
    wins (in the
    case of conflicts). Thus -
    <style type="text/css">
    body { color:red; }
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p style="color:blue;"><span
    style="color:green;">This text is
    green</span></p>
    If you are gathering that all this code is important, you are
    spot on. I
    wouldn't want you working on any website without being fairly
    comfortable in
    the code. Meantime, these may help -

  • I want to edit properties of the interface windows opened while "Open File", "Save Page As" and interface opened during Downloading of any file.

    I am doing a small project on dedicated web client where in user automatically logs in non-root user and Firefox automatically starts.
    I am using Fedora 14 kernel 2.6.35.12-88.fc14.i686 and Firefox 3.6.16.
    I have installed only Gnome in my computer with no Nautilus or other file browser on it.
    I want to edit properties of the interface windows opened while "Open File", "Save Page As" and interface opened during Downloading of any file.
    Please guide me for this.

    First, I sent an email to the author of PhotoME to inform him of the serious issues his addon caused with Firefox latest versions.
    Now, for those of you who do not have the PhotoME addon and yet experience the same problem that I had and that I described above, I suggest the following strategy.
    As PhotoME did cause these problems with Firefox latest versions, I am pretty covinved other addons probably might cause these problems too. Therefore, adopt the following method.
    Test one addon at a time to see if this particular addon is behind your Firefox issues like the ones I had.
    So, disable one addon only at a time. Then close your Firefox and restart it from scratch and see if you still have your Firefox problems. You must restart the Firefox browser from scratch. If you still have these Firefox problems, re-enable the disabled addon, restart your Firefox (again!) and repeat the same method for every single addon that you have.
    Try to be selective by choosing first addons that are more likely to cause your Firefox problems such as not very well-known or not very popular addons (like it was the case for the PhotoME addon).
    If this method works or if it does not work, report it on this web page so that others can be helped with your comments.
    I hope this method will help you because I was really upset that I had these Firefox problems and I first thought it was the fault of Firefox, only to discover later that this PhotoME addon was the culprit and had caused me such upset.

  • Page Properties Panel and CSS

    In the Property Inspector I open the Page Properties dialog
    box and expect to see within the category list : Appearance, Links,
    Headings, Title/Encoding, and Tracing Image. All I see is
    Appearance. Titel/Encoding and Tracing Image. Under Appearance
    again I would expect to be able to select a page font, and it
    attributes but it starts right off with background image and its
    attrbute. Any ideas why the font info is missing?

    Can you try again, please?

  • Keyword and description not included in the Page Properties window

    There is no  Keyword and Description option in the Page Properties window (metadata). The only item available is HTML as <head>. How do I get Keyword and Description options included?

    A master page has no keyword or description section, because it isn’t exported as HTML.

    Is there a way to set that value as a default?

  • CAN't find Parameters, Events and Approval tabs in the Page Properties opti

    Hi Gurus,
    I am trying to test the approval process. I have created a page group and also created a page under that. I don't find the 3 tabs Parameters, Events and Approval in the Edit Page/Page Properties option. Please reply me what I have to do to activate those tabs.

    ---------------

    In your Page Group properties ensure that parameters and events are enabled. Once they are enabled at the page group level, the tabs should appear in your page properties.

  • Problem editing text color and page properties due to favicon link

    I recently added a link to a sites favicon using the link tag. Following advice on the net this was added beneath the HTML tag and before the HEAD tag. I was using a Dreamweaver template for the site and it updated all pages with the new link in the non-editable area above HEAD and just after the template declaration.
    This was fine, unitl the user went to edit the site. He found that he could no longer get to page properties as he got an error that no page properties existed in editable areas... although there was an editable region for the page title. Also text color and highlighting were now disabled.
    Moving the link tag into the head area has resolved the editing issue, but it seems a strange bug. Is there some way to add something between HTML and HEAD and have it appear before the InstanceBegin of the template?

    You can edit text in any PDF by using trial version but as for as my knowledge and limited experience with Adobe I could not find any text color option in Adobe Acrobat. But you can highlight text in Adobe Acrobat. If you want to change the text color in PDF, I would like to recommend some another software which allows you to change the color of text and is available for download here.
    Let me tell you how can change text color using this software. Open PDF file > go to "edit tab" > Click "edit" then highlight text to change the color. As you can see in the below screenshot.
    Free free to ask. Hope it helps you. Don't forget to come back to share your views.
    Thanks

    I just published my Muse site on Adobe, and now when i do a search and get a return on the search, it repeats the site name several times. is it in the page properties?

    By search you are referring to Google search ?? or you are using any search module in your site and the keywords shows same topic multiple times on page ?
    Please elaborate more, provide site url.
    Regarding using keywords, description etc, you can add that to your page using page properties > metadata section.

  • Adding javascript to page open and page close in acrobat 8.1.2

    Reading the Acrobat Javascript Object Specification on page 22 it says that you can add javascript to the "page open" and "page close" events of a document.
    It then says that under the menu "Document -> Set page action" you can add scripts for those events
    I am using Acrobat 8.1.2 and under the document menu there is no "Set page action". And there is nowhere where I can find any "set page action" menu...

    - open the Navigation Panel 'Pages'
