Pages-as in setting up blank pages

I'm trying to set up a blank page (template) to create a new page using a colored background for the entire page, not just a shape or object, or text box. any suggestions?

I browsed through all of Pages prefs and the inspector and found no pref for a background color. Of course, you could create a new rectangular object, make it fill the page, fill it with the color you wish and make it a master object. From the Pages manual:
Click outside the text flow of your document so that the insertion point is not visible.
Add a graphics object. You can add an imported image, drawn shape, table, chart, or text box. To learn about how to add a graphic, see Chapter 6, “Working With Graphics and Other Media.” Make sure the graphic is a “fixed object” (is not placed inline with the text flow).
Position the graphic wherever you want it on the page.
Choose Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master. The selection handles disappear from the object, so you can no longer select it. To edit or move a master object, you must first make master objects selectable for the entire document. Master objects look different from other objects because they have blue selection handles.
If you know html there is an easier way. I opened my html editor and put a background color in an html doc and saved the doc to my desktop as an html. I opened the doc in Pages and the background color was there as a master object.

If a restore did not fix it, you have a hardware issue--possible bad wi-fi radio.

BAPI_PO_CHANGE: Realease group is set to blank

Hi,
I have a custom report which is used Bapi BAPI_PO_CHANGE to update the delivery date.
I got the weird issue is that after updating using this Bapi, the Realease Strategy tab disappeared (It was there before).
This means the Realease group is set to blank.
Please advise me any OSS note or a solution to fix this problem.

Setting the blank f5 and f6 keys for just the bluetooth keyboard?

I just got the apple bluetooth wireless keyboard for my mac book pro. I use it for when my computer is linked to my tv.
I am wondering, how do I set the blank f5 and f6 keys to something? My mbp model is older so all the function keys are layed out differently (the audio levels are f4 and f5 instead of f11 and f12)
I want to keep my laptop function keys exactly how they are. Its just the f5 and f6 on the bluetooth I want to change. I cant seem to figure out how to do it in the preferences. Also, it looks like theres no way to choose just the wireless for this situation?

I believe you would have to write a routine to have those keys recognized for specific purposes. I do not do that, so I cannot give any guidance.

Password set to blank

I just got our iMac back from the Apple store after having the Seagate hard drive swapped out. I restored from an external hard drive. However, when I try to log in, I get a message "Password set to blank by AppleCare". No old passwords work. What does this mean?

Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
      left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
        the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
      the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.

This started after i had installed a software recently. I have uninstalled that software now. I even set the opening page as 'Blank'. Also hit the 'restore to default' button.

I can't get it to set a blank home page, and the instructions given for this don't work.

The instructions say that if you want a blank home page, you should open a new tab, then click on the icon to the left of the space where the website name would be and drag it to the Home icon. Unfortunately, when I click on that icon, I can't grab and move it.

I know how to set each link on my page to target_blank and I know how I can code my page to make this the default but is there a way to do this without actually writing the code in myself?

Not only is the target="_blank" attribute deprecated, it's a usability faux pas. If site visitors want to open links in new tabs/windows they can use right click. If ALL your links automatically launch a new tab/window you're crowding their browser and making a decision that isn't yours to make. The golden rule in web design is "don't mess with people's browsers."

Infoview portlet webpage set to blank -- now I'm stuck!

So, I'm very new to this software. I'm fiddling around with the settings (because that's just what I do) and under Options > Infoview > portlet, select "web page". but I leave the webpage field at the default of "http:
" and hit ok. now when i hit the "info view" button, i get a "cannot find server" page, where the browser is pointing to "http:
" . Which might not be so bad, except that I cannot get anywhere else -- I keep getting that error. I've tried all the links in my history and while they will bring up a page I can use, after a few clicks I go right bakc to the cannot find server error.
Which brings up another buggy thing -- I was trying to change the previous portlet setting, that being the "welcome" or whatever the other option is but these options are not saved in the sense that you can change them later, though they will still come up as the "saved" option..
Exceedingly frustrating.. Can anyone help? I started to search, but didn't find much..

No, iTunes doesn't know where your library is.
You're not the only one who is confused by that.
By setting the 'iTunes Music' folder location, you set the location where iTunes has to store the next imports.
And you told iTunes where to put the songs after you choose 'Add to Library...' (when you have checked 'Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library').
The location of your songs is stored in the 'iTunes Library' file, which you, unfortunately, trashed.
Just drag and drop the folder with all your music on the Library icon in the Source pane or select 'Add to Library...' and navigate to the folder containing your music.
I can't tell you how much information is restored by syncing your iPod.
I have no experience with it.
If it was set to 'automatically update', it could be wiped.
Several 3rd party applications can transfer songs, including playlists, ratings and play counts to the computer.
Try Senuti or iPodRip (find the latest versions on versiontracker.com).

Pie chart legend showing digit "1" when we set "ignore blank cells"property

We have pie chart in Xcelsius 2008 that shows the data with legend value and we have also set the ignore blank cells property to ignore the blank value from column. but once we set this property, it displays the digit "1" in the legend when there is no data.
we are expecting that nothing should be displayed in pie chart legend when there is no data for the pie chart.

I could replicate your scenario.
Workaround is to create a duplicate of this chart. Go to properties of this new chart.
Go to Appearance ->
Uncheck
- Legend
- Mouse-over values
- Data Labels
for this chart.
Write a logic in excel using 'IF' to verify if your data is empty.
Use 'Dynamic Visibility' feature to display this chart only when your data is empty.
Display your original chart if your data is not empty.

UserServicesPolicy setting is blank

When I run get-csuser -identity "username", the property UserServicesPolicy is blank. Does this mean the user is using the only policy we have which is Global. I am trying to turn off the UCS because we don't have Exchange 2013 yet. I get annoying
30254 Event ID's. I set the UCS to False to when I run get-csuserservicespolicy, I get the following:

Blank means either Global or Site level policies, because you mentioned only one policy exists then yes Global is being applied to this user.

That being said, I think the error you have is 32054 which is a noise event. I've seen this error resolved after applying CU4 to Lync Server 2013 and the latest Service Pack and Update Rollup to Exchange 2010. Users had to sign out and sign in to their mobile
clients to stop the events.

How do I reset / initialize 'Latest End' in a workflow?
As part of my tests, in a step within a workflow, using F4, I introduced:
&_WORKITEM.ACTUALSTARTDATE; in DATE field &_WORKITEM.ACTUALSTARTTIME; in TIME field
a part of the 'Latest End'. Subsequently saved, activated and tested the workflow.
Now however, I would like to remove these two expressions but nothing seem to work. They are stuck in there for good. Can't suppress these things! Any idea as to how to put these two fields back to blank?

When following your instructions on setting a blank new tab, I get and error message "invalid url", even though the sting entered in the config is as you state.

I would like a blank new tab to open, but have followed the help guidance to modify the about:config.
However, for all strings shown, I get a consistent error message "invalid url", even though the string has been copied correctly.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Open Jasper Report in new page using servlet

Guys,
Looks very simple but i am having problem making this process work. I am using 11.1.1.4
This is my use case:
- From a employee page, user clicks on a menu item to open report for current employee. I need to pass appropriate report parameters to servlet and open report into new page.
I can successfully call servlet using commandmenuitem and set request parameters and call servlet from backing bean.... but that doesn't open report in a new page.... any way i can do this?
Another option i tried was that using gomenuitem and setting target=blank but in that case i need to pass the parameter using servlet url which i like to avoid.(in case i need to pass many parameters in future) (also values will be set on page so i need to generate url when then click the menuitem...... so there are some hoops and loops i need to go through) I don't know a way to pass the request parameter using backing bean to servlet... i don't think it is possible.
Those are the two approaches i tried.
If you have any better approach...I would appreciate if you can let me know. (i have searched on internet for two days now.... for the solution)
