Pages: how to create tabulation on index
Hi!
I've Pages 5.2.2. I want to allineate numbers of an index of a document I'm writing, with some dots between titles and number of pages.
In Microsoft Word it's very simple: in "Tabulation" You can set tabulation position and choose a filling character (for example a dot).
How can I do it in Pages? On the documentation I found only how to insert an index, nothing about tabulation.
Thanks for reply, but if I go in Format > Text > Tabs I can't see "Tabs"!

How to create statistics for INDEX thru GUI
In DB13 i see messages MISSING_STATISTICS for some indexes.
I manage for tables thru DB20. How can i create statistsics for INDEX.
Rgds
PRHello PR,
at first let's say you should use the BRTools to create statistics for the indexes, because of the sample method (estimate, compute) - SAP has an algorithm to choose the right sample size.
Have a look at here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/f4/81e93a637bfd70e10000000a11402f/content.htm
If you want to create statistics manually out of the R/3 ... you can use the report "RSANAORA"
Transaction SE38 -> Report RSANAORA -> Choose your index and sample method... and go on.

Re: how to create a temporary index for a table in program
Hi,
I execute a report to access table EKBE. The field that is essential is the CPUDT - entry date.
Now, the EKBE is not index with this field.
I do not want to create a permanent index which might occupied space. The current read on EKBE is sequential.
I thought of creating an index in the program and then releases it once the report is out.
Is there a way to achieve that?Hi,
You can dump the data into one internal table and create index of that internal table like this:
tables: ekbe.
data: begin of itab occurs 0,
cpudt like ekbe-cpudt,
indx type i,
end of itab.
select cpudt up to 10 rows
from ekbe into table itab.
loop at itab.
itab-indx = sy-tabix.
write:/ itab-cpudt, itab-indx.
endloop.

How to create partitioned bitmap index in SQL Developer?
I am running SQL Developer version 3.0.04.34 ; on Windows 7 (64 bit) against:
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production
PL/SQL Release 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
CORE 11.1.0.7.0 Production
TNS for Linux: Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
I am trying to create a bitmap index on a partitioned fact table which is part of a data warehouse. The index is in support of a single-column foreign-key to a dimension table. Heretofore, we had been using partitioned B-Tree indexes. According to the Data Warehousing Guide, we should consider using bitmap indexes for this purpose. Accordingly, I was trying to create such an index in our development environment. I used SQL Developer to edit the table, and attempted to create a bitmap index using the advanced screen from the index edit screen. I changed the partition type to "Local" from "None" using the radio button. When I attempt to save this change, I get an error message "A bitmap index cannot have a global partition". This happens whether or not I have assigned storage for the partitions. The index partition names are the ones used successfully for the existing B-tree indexes. I can create the SQL for the index creation by hand, but it would be simpler and easier to maintain if I could use SQL Developer.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated.
Vin SteeleThere is a radio button for index type in the New Index... dialog and in the index section of the edit table dialog.
Which version of SQL Developer are you using? -
How to create two independent index in the same RH project?
Hello everyone
I used Rh html 9.
I created a new index in my project to have two independent and different index, but the two index are connected. When I deleted one word in the new index, the same word is deleted in the first index.
When I've created the second index, I didn't choose the option "from an existing index", because I wanted a new and empty index but RH created a copy of the existing index and linked with the existing index.
It is possible toc reate a lot of different table of content and glossary but not different index ?
If someone can explain me why it doesn't work for index.
Thank you.
FlorenceHi there
If you click File > Project Settings > General tab, is the index set to have keywords in Topics or the Index file (HHK)?
If it's set for Index file (HHK) that would likely explain it because the keywords are stored directly inside the topics themselves.
If the setting is already for Index file (HHK) I'm a bit stumped and can only fathom that maybe you have stumbled across a bit of a RoboHelp bug. I've not tried using multiple indexes before. Perhaps I should try and see.
Cheers... Rick

How to create table level index.
Hi All,
I have written a program for c-form tracking , where i used purchasing tables like EKBE , EKKO and accounting tables , BSEG and BKPF.BSEG isa cluster table . it is taking execution time more at database level , so if i create a index on tables is it useful to increase the performance if so please inform me how do i create index .
please it is very urgent .Hi Shilpa,
Creating the index will solve the purpose if your select statements are going to use that filed for which you are going to create the index.
Instead of using the cluster table like Bseg try to find the alternative tables for your requirement, i think that will definitely improve the performance.
Steps for creating the index are as follows
Yo have to use trx SE11 into Dev system.
Enter the database table name and press
Display -> Indexes -> Create
Enter index name.
Choose Maintain logon language.
Enter short description and index fields.
Then press save and create the request to transport the index to QA and
PRD.
Then press activate.

That does not add up and can only be explained by a "bug".

How to create a concatenated index with a long column (Urgent!!)
We have a situation where we need to create a concatenated unique
index with one of the columns as a "long" datatype. Oracle does
not allow a lot of things with long columns.
Does anyone know if this is possible or if there is a way to get
around it.
All help is appreciated!!!!From the Oracle SQL Reference ...
"You cannot create an index on columns or attributes whose
type is user-defined, LONG, LONG RAW, LOB, or REF,
except that Oracle supports an index on REF type columns
or attributes that have been defined with a SCOPE clause."
Doesn't mention CLOB or BLOB types, so perhaps you
should consider using one of those types instead. I have a
feeling that the LONG type is now deprecated. -
