Pages look weird after reinstall

I formatted my drive, installed Win7, then reinstalled my CS3 suite. I created "new" sites to match the ones that I already had and pointed them to the folders where the files were.
The pages all look weird in DW now. It only shows a header (a php include) and nothing else. If I publish the page like this, when it gets to the browser it looks fine. I've included page code below, and also a screenshot of what I'm seeing in DW. If anyone can help me get back on track I'd appreciate it.

Pages looking weird in incontext editing

My pages looks just fine in the browsers and also in BC preview. But when I go to editing, everything looks weird. The design is not looking the way it should, and I can not reach some of the editable regions,as they appear under another misplased part of the design. I have validated the pages so they should be ok. Does anybody else have the same problem?

Yes, I do. It seems that pages that used the "Impressum" template have this problem. I'm not sure why they do, when others don't, but if the support team takes a look at the pages (any of the pages from that template) perhaps they can figure it out.
I have a site in development that uses that template, and have told my clients not to edit the pages until I tell them it's okay. Which is unfortunate, since we're at the part of the development cycle where I'm just waiting for content. But it's a lot easier to put it all in myself than have them try to use the new Content Editor when you can't see anything on the page.
I'll submit a ticket when that part of the system is back up. (It's currently down.)

Pages crashes - even after reinstall

I have the latest Pages version (5.1) and I am running Mavericks 10.9.1.
I wanted to continue working on a Pages document, but Pages crashes during startup.
It won't open.
I have deleted the app, emptied the trash and downloaded a fresh copy from the App Store. Still the same happens.
Does Pages keep a local "settings" folder on my machine that I might need to delete?
I suspect something corrupt has been stored in some local folder that is not removed during uninstall, and still is causing trouble after I reinstalled a fresh Pages from the App Store.

The solution:
Open the Terminal window.
Write the commands following commands to rename the bundle com.apple.iWork.Pages to com.apple.iWork.Pages_old:
cd Library/Containers/
mv com.apple.iWork.Pages com.apple.iWork.Pages_old
Now you can start Pages without it crashing.
Thanks to Pages 5.2 keeps crashing.

Finder column view looking weird after os 10.9.3 update. Plz help

The lines separating the columns are looking a little weird. There is additional visible space for the scroll bar unlike before and the enclosed screenshot shows a crease very similar to those between two pages of iOS 6 iBooks(old one).
I am running the latest mavericks OS 10.9.3(recently updated) on MBP retina.
What can i do to make the finder look like it did before.

ITunes,Safari look weird after upgrade to Tiger

I just upgraded to Tiger with a clean erase and install. Repaired permissions before and after. Ran software update and did same. Everything seems to be working at this point, although its too early to tell, except that when I launch iTunes or Safari I no longer see the blue and white list backround. Instead I have a white panel behind my Bookmarks list when displayed, iTunes library etc. I have tried zapping pram and reinstalling, removed all but the factory ram and repeated. I have nothing attached to the computer other than the keyboard, mouse and monitor and I have installed no software other than Apple's. No problems of any kind before the upgrade. Ideas?

Hello, I just reste my mac and used an Apple id that I had even before I purchased my new Macbook Pro Retina 15 in November 2013.
I had Keynote, Numbers etc all for free with Mavericks. After my reset its all gone? How and why?
Im so frustrated with Mac its ridicolous. Software errors etc with Mavericks forcing me to reset and now I los my Keynote etc?

FYI, iLife and iWork do not come with Mavericks or any other OS. They come bundled with the Mac, not the OS.
Upgrading to Mavericks should not have deleted the apps. If by reset you mean you erased the drive, then yes they would have gone away.
To get them from the App Store, you would need to use the AppleID you used originally to register the Mac.
I remember reading another post like this and the poster clicked on the purchase button anyway and it downloaded them for free. Either way, I'd contact the App Store.

I imported set of photos but the dark areas looks weird. How can I correct it?

Did you take a backup in between taking the photos and deleting them ? If you did then try restoring to that backup (you will need to restore the whole iPad, you can't just do the Photos app) and they should be put back.

When you create new albums directly on your iPad and 'copy' photos into them you are effectively just creating pointers to the orginal photos, you aren't creating copies of the photos - so if you then delete the original photo you will also be deleting all pointers to and therefore be removing it from all albums that you've copied it into (you should have got a warning when deleting the photo that that would happen).

Fonts in lots of pages look "empty", but after reinstal it shows right

After starting Mozilla FireFox application I try to open pages.
Some of those pages show messed up fonts (Letters looks empty with border).
After reinstalling default system font "Tahoma" into Windows Fonts directory and refreshing page they looks correctly.
After restart of computer procedure repeats.

After installing Solid Edge ST6, fonts on IE (like facebook) looks weird.

After installing a Educational copy of Solid Edge 6, fonts look weird. It has happened before and I then I uninstalled Solid Edge and the problem was gone. Right now I have to use it for school work and kinda hate browsing facebook and other pages that the
font looks messed up. They look like are pushed from the sides and look kinda thin. Weirdly pages like YouTube and Google look alright. It is not the browsers fault, because the problem is on Chrome aswell.
If needed, the laptop is a HP ProBook 470 G0, running windows 8 pro.

The first thing I'd suggest is to get a good antispyware checker and give it a go at your system. Some recent spyware has been reported by other users to shut down iTunes or prevent it from launching. From user reports, Ewido seems to be the best at catching it. You can download a free version of Ewido here.
If that doesn't cure the problem, try deleting the iTunes preference files:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
and
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Data\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
You might have to turn on "show hidden files" to find them. (Right click "my computer", select open, select Tools menu -> Folder Options. Select View tab, "show hidden files" radio button is in the center scrolling panel.) Delete them or if you want to be able to put them back if it doesn't help, drag them to some other location. This will force iTunes to run the setup assistant the next time you launch iTunes. Note that you'll have to go back and set any preferences you've changed from the default.
If that still doesn't work, try this:

Pages documents look blurry after updating to iOS 8.3

I use the iWorks apps a lot, after updating tonight to iOS 8.3 I discovered that the display of all the documents from Pages looks blurry, and when I open a document it looks still blurry, is there a way to fix it?, Am I the only one having this trouble?

Just got off the phone with Apple Tech Support, including a Pages specialist. No solutions so far but there have been other complaints. The initial technician had to look up under iWorks rather than Pages. The Pages specialist is filing a report but suggested it would speed things along to go to apple.com/feedback, scroll down to iOS Apps, select Pages, and file a bug report online, which I just did. The more of us willing to file an online bug report the faster the fix. Be sure to include the version number of Pages (Settings/Pages). I checked other native iOS apps (Safari, Mail, Notes, Calender, Contacts) and they are all fine. I updated my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 to iOS 8.3 and Pages text is blurry. I did not update my iPhone 5c. It is still running iOS 8.2 and Pages text is perfect. All are running the latest version of Pages (2.5.2). So the problem is definitely with the 8.3 update.

Won't open after reinstalling twice get a page with a green puzzle but it won't stay open long enough to read it.

After working with mcafee for 2 hours on a server host issue they did something that got rid of the site advisor on firefox and when they tried to fix that problem they couldn't get firefox to open after reinstalling it twice!
Help...i want firefox back! i'm using internet explorer right now as my default and i've always disliked it!

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
*Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
If that still gives problems then create a new profile.

Page look after patch update

Hi All ,
A patch is applied on instance A but not in instance B. A particular page look is now different in instance A.
The page has two regions with query region style . lets name it as queryRN1 and queryRN2.
In instance A - queryRN1 is shown in the page
In instance B - queryRN2 is shown in the page
But the properties(Personalize Page) setting is identical in both the instances.
Things I have tried are ::
Exported personalized xml from instanceB through Functional Administrator.
Imported in the instanceA.
Cleared cache.
Bounced the OA core services.
but no result. pls help me understanding missing point here ..,,

We are on SP 15 Patch 17...
Any resoulution on this problem. cos we are having this problem everyday and need to run it manually...

XSQL page - rendered HTML looks weird on UNIX and Mac

The fonts are not coming out as specified when I view HTML produced by XSQL pages.
I thought there was something wrong with my stylesheet, but then I went to ws5.olab.com and saw the same phenomenon.
I'd like to make my pages look the same on Macs, PCs, and Unix boxes. Any ideas anyone?

XSL has nothing to do with fonts, really.
Your problem likely has everything to do
with straightforward differences in
how different browsers on different
platforms implements the HTML and CSS
specifications.
If you find the combination that works
for you with static HTML, then you
can use XSL to generate that combination,
but otherwise, it's not XSL to blame :-)
