Paging control and URL parameters

Hi there,
Please check out this page:
http://martinique.org/activities/sports.php
Go to the section "Skiing Surfing"
1 - Use the navigation to go through the records.
2 - Take a look at the URL in the browser window.
Now, please go to the section "Hiking" and repeat 1 & 2.
Note that the URL is appending the new parameters instead of replacing the previous one.
What am I doing wrong here.
Please help me to solve this problem.
Thank you much!

The code generated by the Dreamweaver recordset navigation bar automatically adds any existing variables to the end of the query string. The following code (just above the DOCTYPE) comes from a recordset navigation bar on one of my pages:
$queryString_listAuthors = "";
if (!empty($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) {
  $params = explode("&", $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']);
  $newParams = array();
  foreach ($params as $param) {
    if (stristr($param, "pageNum_listAuthors") == false &&
        stristr($param, "totalRows_listAuthors") == false) {
      array_push($newParams, $param);
  if (count($newParams) != 0) {
    $queryString_listAuthors = "&" . htmlentities(implode("&", $newParams));
$queryString_listAuthors = sprintf("&totalRows_listAuthors=%d%s", $totalRows_listAuthors, $queryString_listAuthors);
I haven't tested this, but to eliminate the extra variables in the query string, comment out the whole of the if statement like this:
$queryString_listAuthors = "";
if (!empty($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) {
  $params = explode("&", $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']);
  $newParams = array();
  foreach ($params as $param) {
    if (stristr($param, "pageNum_listAuthors") == false &&
        stristr($param, "totalRows_listAuthors") == false) {
      array_push($newParams, $param);
  if (count($newParams) != 0) {
    $queryString_listAuthors = "&" . htmlentities(implode("&", $newParams));
$queryString_listAuthors = sprintf("&totalRows_listAuthors=%d%s", $totalRows_listAuthors, $queryString_listAuthors);
You will need to do that for each of your recordset navigation bars.

    thank you in advance...

    Hi Pabito,
                  I am assuming that you need to send an outgoing EDI - Mail or fax to a specific partner. This process is possbile if you could set up the output control for sales  documents.
    spro->sales & distribution -> BF -> Output control-> output determination -> maintain output determination for sales documents -> Assign output types to partner function.
    Make sure that an output determination procedure is assigned to the sales dco type.
    Also Maintain condition records for the output type and the transmission medium(EDI) using the trx NACE.
    I hope this is what you are looking for, i also have a faint notion that you might be lookin how to setup an edi connection with the partner.!!!
    If my notion is right do ping back to know more abt that,If you find this piece of information do take some time to award points to mee

  • Outbound HTTP adapter and URL parameters

    Hi all
    I'm having some trouble with a XI scenario I'm supposed to implement.
    I should get invoices from a vendors webserver using a url with parameters (ex. http://myvendor.com/getinvoice.jsp?invoiceid=12345) and send it as INVOICE IDoc to the R/3.
    I thought that would be an easy one using the Plain HTTP-Adapter but I can't figure out how to build the URL. Is there a way to do that, or do I need to implement my own adapter??
    Thanks in advance
    Stefan

    Hi experts ,
    I have this scenario from Legacy to XI to external app server.I have a test jsp to execute that functionality .Its a jsp which has 1 textarea named "test" and when I click on the submit buton I get a response back.This way I am able to test this independently.Now from XI when I am executing my scenario I am getting status code '1250' and message as ' http request(test) is null'.Now in the scenario in http adapter I just provide the target host : ip of server ,
    service number : port no ,
    path: the container or the request handler. But this scenario fails and gives me the above erroneous response.Now Basically I am not able to get how to send the value to the textarea "test"? please provide help as soon as possible.Do we have to put the name of the jsp in the "path" in http adapter and use prolog as test= or should it be &test= .I tried this but it doesnt work.So please provide help on this as soon as possible or please suggest a solution at [email protected]
    Thanx in advance,

  • Image Control and URL

    I defined an image control with an Action of URL specified.
    When I specify a URL that points to a location with spaces in it, the URL is encoded, but VC replaces the spaces with + instead of %20. I tried many variations to get it to not encode and/or encode differently, but to no avail.
    How can I specify a URL that includes spaces in it for an image control?

    Hi,
    Could you try with images that don't contain spaces?
    If it works, you could change the specific image name as to not contain spaces.
    Best regards,
    Tal.

  • PHP, MySQL, Breadcrumbs and URL Parameters

    I'm working with several InterAKT extensions to buid a
    dynamic site. I have everything working except for Breadcrumbs --
    which are actually working except that I need to change the URL
    parameter which they are passing WITHOUT altering the recordset
    (which breaks the functionality).
    The site is constructed to include friendly URLS, so although
    all pages are loaded by PK of their category, I've used CONCAT()
    and REPLACE() along with Server-Side Includes from my Table (SSI
    from InterAKT) to generate my URLS.
    Example:
    category_ctg TABLE
    id_ctg name_ctg
    1 Jelly Beans
    2 Vanilla Nut Crunch Bar
    etc.
    For my dynamic menus and my hyperlinks, I pull from the db
    like this:
    SELECT *, CONCAT(REPLACE(name_ctg, ' ', '-'), '?id_ctg=',
    id_ctg) AS newurl FROM category_ctg
    This gives me a URL of
    index.php/Vanilla-Nut-Crunch-Bar?id_ctg=2
    (I also pull from the name_ctg field for my page titles and menu
    names, etc., without the CONCAT() so they read without the '-')
    But, with MX Breadcrumbs I'm limited to the way the php is
    hard-coded in terms of which fields are included: (id_ctg,
    id_parent_ctg and name_ctg) because the breadcrumbs are generated
    from a recordset.inc.php file.
    I can succesfully use the Breadcrumbs "out-of-the-box" and
    end up with this URL:
    index.php?id_ctg=2
    My code for above looks like this:
    <?php if ($totalRows_Breadcrumbs > 0) { // Show if
    recordset not empty ?>
    &gt; <a href="index.php?id_ctg=<?php echo
    $row_Breadcrumbs['id_ctg']; ?>"><?php echo
    $row_Breadcrumbs['name_ctg']; ?></a>
    <?php } // Show if recordset not empty ?>
    and while it works, it's loading a different URL than all my
    other menus and links.
    Alternatively, I can include the catgeory_ctg.name_ctg
    dynamic binding like this:
    <?php do { ?>
    <?php if ($totalRows_Breadcrumbs > 0) { // Show if
    recordset not empty ?>
    &gt; <a href="<?php echo
    $row_Breadcrumbs['name_ctg']; ?>?id_ctg=<?php echo
    $row_Breadcrumbs['id_ctg']; ?>"><?php echo
    $row_Breadcrumbs['name_ctg']; ?></a>
    <?php } // Show if recordset not empty ?>
    <?php } while ($row_Breadcrumbs =
    mysql_fetch_assoc($Breadcrumbs)); ?>
    which gives me a URL of:
    index.php/Vanilla%20Nut%20Crunch%20Bar?id_ctg=9
    Since I can't use CONCAT() value within my script and I can't
    have "%20" in my URLs, I'm trying to find a way of turning my URL
    into:
    index.php/Vanilla-Nut-Crunch-Bar?id_ctg=2
    Is there a way to include the CONCAT() function in the PHP
    script that's generating the URL?
    I've tried using variables in the header to call for a
    consistent URL, without any luck.
    Please keep in mind that my strong suit is design and that my
    working knowledge of PHP and MySQL are limited to what I can
    understand and re-create. I've been pulling out my hair for days on
    this, so some guidance would be
    greatly appreciated.

  • Error using XI HTTP adapter specific message attribute URL parameters

    Hi XI gurus, in our XI 7.0 SPS11,
    we have problem using URL parameters of plain HTTP receiver adapter.
    If I set Adapter specific message Properties in communication channel and activate switch for Apply URL parameters (using Parameter 1 to 5) filling them using message mapping, we have no effect; instead we have error "Dynamic Header - Missing Message Attributes: Fields/Parameters".
    We carried out this test:
    1. not using adapter specific message attribute and setting
    a static URL target with fixed parameters it runs correctly.
    2. using adapter specific message attribute for target
    URL and URL parameters both doesn't runs correctly.
    3. using adapter specific message attribute only for target
    URL doesn't run correctly.
    These attribute key used for URL parameters:
    URLParamOne
    URLParamTwo
    URLParamThree
    URLParamFour
    URLParamFive
    Namespace: http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/HTTP
    Can you solve this issue? Are there oss notes, corrections, ...
    Thanks in advance.

    Some other test done with TCP gateway.
    Activated adapter specific message properties for
    *URL
    *HTTP Header fields (one header field named "lisca")
    *URL Parameters (one param named "objectType")
    The HTTP message catched by TCP Gateway

    seems nothing has been generated, and obviusly URL and params have been set in message mapping.

  • Using URL Parameters with HTTP Comms Channel

    Hi,
    I need to build a new interface (HTTP - RFC) which will use several URL parameters. I've created a HTTP communications channel and Sender Service and this works. I'm able to define several URL Parameters by checking 'Adapter-Sepcific Message Attributes' and then 'Apply URL Parameters' then specifying the individual parameters.
    This is straight forward so far but in usual SAP fashion the documentation on HTTP Comms Channels and URL Parameters is non existent. My question is how do I use these parameters once they are passed. I need to use the values as input parameters for the RFC which means I'll need to map these in the Integration Repository I can't find anything on SDN or SAP help that answers the question.
    I know I could include these values in the XML payload but that would mean my 'customer' would need to amend their application and I'd rather keep things as they are.
    Looking forward to your replies.
    Thanks in advance.

    May be this could help you to refference . .
    For each process template, you can define interactive or composite form reference objects that can optionally be executed at runtime.
    To be able to see and execute the reference object at runtime, you must add an appropriate runtime view.
    Prerequisites
    You can only attach standalone interactive forms to a process. For more information, see Interactive Form Types.
    Activities
    To attach an interactive form to a process:
           1.      Open the gallery and select a process template. To open its design time, choose Open…
           2.      To switch to edit mode, choose  (Edit).
           3.      Open the Forms tab page.
           4.      Choose Add and select the type of reference object you want to add. You can choose between Callable Object and Development Object.
    Browse and select the reference object, and choose Add once again.
           5.      Repeat step 4 to add more objects.
           6.      To define parameter mapping, select an entry and choose Map Parameters. Select a parameter from the left-hand table, and then select the parameter you want to map from the right-hand table. This groups the input parameters of the form reference object to the relevant input parameters of the process.
    If the process does not define input parameters, you can set default values.
           7.      When you have defined the required mappings, choose Done.
           8.      Whenever a newer version of the form reference object is available, its status on the Forms tab page changes to  (Deprecated). To update the object, select it from the list and choose Update. The status changes to  (Active).
    Parameter mapping is preserved unless the parameters of the new object version are different. In this case, you need to define mappings again.
           9.      Finally, choose  (Save).

  • Exit plug url parameters without XSS encoding

    Hi,
    I fire an exit plug with POST_PARAMETERS = 'X' and passing a different postParameters='sap-client=101&sap-user=5E224C57E11&sap-password=Asdf1234'. However the special characters are encoded and not passed correctly to the webdynpro app.
    I got this behavior from CREATE_EXTERNAL_WINDOW with USE_POST = abap_true settings. I am trying to hide the sap-user and sap-password from the URL when redirecting to a new WebDynpro app in the same way, but remain in the current window.
    My question is how can I prevent the automatic XSS encoding? I have turned off the login XSRF flag in SICF, but it has no effect on this.
    Another option if somebody can tell me how can I do the same as CREATE_EXTERNAL_WINDOW in the same window, it should also be fine.
    Your help is appreciated.

    >
    > Your thoughts?
    That is because there are two very different calls to the BSP application occuring. The solution that you said worked is using the HTTP Client (browser if you will) of the application server.  Therefore it is the ABAP system itself that is calling the BSP application.  That is why nothing is displayed on the client side - because the server itself is making the request and receiving the response.  This approach is really only usable if you need to call a data service (REST based or something like that), not if you actually need to dispaly the response to the user.
    When you fire the navigation plug, it is the browser on the client machine that is making the request to the BSP application. This is completely separate from the request made from the application server in the previous step.
    If you can't use GET and URL parameters, then you should just consider using Server Cookies.  I don't think that hte HTTP Client class approach is going to get you what you want.

  • HTTP Comms Channel and UTL Parameters

    Hi,
    I need to build a new interface (HTTP - RFC) which will use several URL parameters and I have a few questions
    1) In my limited experience I know that HTTP scenarios don't usually require a comms channel. Like RFC it's built into the ABAP stack. If I create a HTTP comms channel for a particular service does that mean that any interface that is part of that specific service will use my HTTP comms channel? In other words all I need to do is create a comms channel for a particular service and it will be used.
    and secondly....
    2) Creating the parameters in the comms channel is straightforward. I check 'Adapter-Sepcific Message Attributes' and then check 'Apply URL Parameters' then specify the individual parameters. Straight forward so far but in usual SAP fashion the documentation on HTTP Comms Channels and URL Parameters is lacking to say the least. My question is how do I map those parameters in the Integration Directory.
    Looking forward to your replies.
    Thanks in advance.

    OK, so once I create a sender agreement then my HTTP CC will be used? That makes sense.
    In regards to the second question - As I said in my posting I want to use several URL parameters. For example sending the date as part of the URL rather than the payload. These parameters are specified as part of the comms channel but mapping the parameters to the RFC must be performed in the Integration Directory. So I'd like to understand how I do this.
    Thanks

  • "Source not found" Error creating URL Data control with query parameters

    Hi,
    I have a restful service for which i want to create a URL data control. I am able to create the URL data control successfully when i am not passing any parameters in the Source field. But if i am specifying the parameters in the source field like this Department=##ParamName##, something weird is happening. After giving the param string in the Source field, it asks for default param value to test the url. It tests the url successfully. After that i select XML as the data format in which i am mentioning the xsd like this . "file:///C:/..../something.xsd" . And this is when i am getting the error. "Invalid Connection. The source is not found". I am giving exactly same path for xsd which i gave while creating URL data control without query parameters. Infact i was able to create the URL data control with query parameters successfully till afternoon. after that it started giving me this error all of a sudden. Infact as soon as i was able to create a URL data contol with query parameter successfully, i took a backup of the application before moving further. But even that backup is not working now.
    As far as i understand, i dont think there will be any change in xsd if query params are passed to a web service. Please correct me if i am wrong.
    Just dont know what could be the issue. Please help
    Thanks

    Hi,
    xsd is used for the URL service to know what the returned data structure is so it can create the ADF DC metadata

  • Help with URL Parameters and HTML DataSet please.

    Hello everybody!
    Looking at the example page: "Using URL Parameters to Control Data Regions", towards the bottom it gives an example of "Set by Product Name", from an XML DataSet using the following sample code:
        //Data set for the second example. var ds2 = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("../../demos/products/products.xml", "products/product");    //If the URL parameter 'product' has a value, set the XPath that includes a filter and then load the data. if (params.product){    ds2.setXPath("products/product[name = '"+params.product+"']");    ds2.loadData(); }
    Can anyone please explain how to amend this to work with a HTML Dataset rather than XML?
    The first example on the page (Set by RowID) works unchanged for the HTML DataSet, but I don't know what I should replace the 'setXPath' line with.
    I see this has been asked before, but I'm afraid I can't find any answer that works (or, more often, that I can understand properly!)
    Grateful for any suggestions.
    Len

    Wow! Thanks Ben.
    I hadn't thought about using Stacked Containers.
    I'll test this out tonight and let you know how I get on.
    Cheers,
    Len
    A few days later and at last I've been able to test your suggestions.
    I think I must be doing something wrong as the links and content don't work at all:
    http://www.myosanthe-bernhard-huber.com/html/stack1.php
    I know that the stacked containers do work (http://www.myosanthe-bernhard-huber.com/html/stack0.php), so I guess there are some errors in the coding somewhere.
    Would you mind reviewing, please?
    The important thing for me (in this case, anyway) is to get the called page's content using its 'Ref', and I'm not sure what benefit there is in using stacked containers as opposed to master-detail containers.
    The master-detail method works reasonably well for me at
    http://www.myosanthe-bernhard-huber.com/html/fotoalbum.php and sub-pages.
    Perhaps I am betraying my lack of knowledge, but as I said in my original post, I think that I just need the HTMLDataSet equivalent to:
        //Data set for the second example.
    var ds2 = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("../../demos/products/products.xml", "products/product");
       //If the URL parameter 'product' has a value, set the XPath that includes a filter and then load the data.
    if (params.product){
       ds2.setXPath("products/product[name = '"+params.product+"']");
       ds2.loadData();
    which as you can see uses an XMLDataSet, but does exactly what I need.
    (see http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/DataWithURLParams.html)
    Thanks again for your help, Ben.

  • Wrong results in URL iview and overview of URL parameters

    I have created an URL iView that is supposed to query an index and return results. I am using the URL:
    /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.service
    and added following URL parameters:
    StartPage=SearchPage
    ConfigFileName=Navigation.xml
    layoutSetMode=exclusive
    ResourceListType=com.sapportals.wcm.SearchResultList
    SearchType=quick
    QueryString=marketing
    SelectedSearchIndices=KnowledgeBase
    The problem that I have is that the iView returns the second page of results (11-20) instead of the first one (1-10). When I hit the Search button again the result is the first page of results.
    Does anyone have experience with this problem?
    I've searched SDN on an overview of URL parameters (for example a parameter to specify the number of results to be shown on a page) to solve this problem, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have an overview on URL parameters?
    Thanks in advance!

    Jack,
    You need not do hit and trial on various version of jdev. Jdev version should be as per your instance patchset version. Go through document no.416708.1 on metalink to know you need to download which version of jdev, as per ur instance patch set level.
