Image Control and URL

I defined an image control with an Action of URL specified.
When I specify a URL that points to a location with spaces in it, the URL is encoded, but VC replaces the spaces with + instead of %20. I tried many variations to get it to not encode and/or encode differently, but to no avail.
How can I specify a URL that includes spaces in it for an image control?

Could you try with images that don't contain spaces?
If it works, you could change the specific image name as to not contain spaces.

The code generated by the Dreamweaver recordset navigation bar automatically adds any existing variables to the end of the query string. The following code (just above the DOCTYPE) comes from a recordset navigation bar on one of my pages:

Image control synchronizing scroll bars

Hello, I have a LabVIEW program using Vision that I want to use multiple Image controls in a VI. I would like to be able to synchronize the movements of the scroll bars. If a user scrolls left in one window, I want the other window(s) to also scroll left the same amount. Is this possible? I know it can be done with 2D picture controls but I would like to do this with a Image control (not external). It would also be helpful to zoom synchronously.

-I think we can enable/disable the scrollbars through property nodes. Let's see if anyone else has idea on programmatically moving scrollbars for image control.
-For zoom you can use zoom property node of selected image control and write the same to other image controls.

When rotating my custom .bmp image with Rotate Image Control.vi using the Rotate.llb, why is my rotated image coming up blank?

I downloaded the Rotate.llb and am trying to rotate a simple 24bit .bmp I made in Windows Paint, but the rotated image comes up blank.
I edited the default image control and indicator to have my image inside it and really don't know what else to do? The example works fine with the default image, I'm wondering if it has to do with my image properties?
I tried using "Picture to Pixmap" but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am attaching a screen shot of my results and the modified Rotate vi I am working on, thanks.

Hi Gurus,
I'm having difficulty on how to display targeted URL images and URL link from the smartforms, after i sending it out as html mail. The mail i sent just can be preview as a plain text, which can't execute the html code that i put inside the smartforms itself. I follow a few step from this very useful blog.. 1- put your images in a directory under the web app directory. Example: app/images/

Open a disk image file and crop it to an Image control

Hi Folks,
I am trying to allow my users (in a browser) to select/open a disk file (image type) so that they can see it and then save it to the server. I can use the FileReference object just fine, and load its 'result' directly into a MX:Image control. However, before I do that I would like to crop the selected imaged to a square shape. I'd also like to resize the image down, but that will come later, once I get the cropping working.
I am essentially taking the FileReference result bytearray and converting that to a BitmapData object. Then, I 'extract' a square of data from that BitmapData object into a new BitmapData object. Then I need to get *that* BitmapData object into the mx:image control. I tried using a Bitmap to do so, however the resulting mx:image, while 'sized' correctly, displays as a blank white region. All along, the variables seem to be 'full' of data and seem to have properly set attributes. I've looked up quite a few sites that demonstrate cropping, and copying images, but they always start out with 'pre-loaded' images. I have modeled my code after theirs, where appropriate.

You were close to the solution.
In "onLoaderComplete(event:Event):void", at the begining you create a BitmapData called "loadBD", you just forgot to fill it with the content from the loaderInfo.

You do not need to do anything - iPhoto always keeps the original and you can revert to it at any time
If you want to be able to see the original and the cropped version in iPhoto at the same time duplicate the photo (this does not really duplicate but simply starts a new edit stream for the photo - command-d) and crop the duplicate

AWT only canvas - styled text, images, word wrap and url posting.. how???

Wassup people!
Ive created a java chat client which uses the JTextPane to post messeges, emoticons and styled text. But the main problem here is that the majority of web browsers only support awt. Telling the users to download the latest jre with swing is long and most would rather go to another site, so i have reprogrammed the whole client in awt apart from the textpane. I now face the problem of creating a canvas that supports styled text, images, word wrap and url posting.
I am only a beginner in java and the initial client was quite easy to do using swing, but to program an efficient canvas that supports this has proved to be quite challenging. would anyone beable to show me the best way of doing this? or refer me onto a library that already supports this? or is there even an awt version of the JTextPane somewhere which would save alot of time? any help would be most appreciated.

I've seen a few APIs that are 100% pure java in 1.1 that implement a styled text area. They aren't free though and I'm pretty sure someone made some money off of the fact that java 1.1 didn't implement a styled text area.
I understand the problem you are having. Before the days of swing styled text was something you wished you had. Just so you know, there is no easy way of doing this. You could always paint it yourself with a canvas in a scroll pane but then you get to the point where, unless you did some serious mouse handling, highlighting text becomes very difficult.

Dynamically passing text and url-based images as an input parameter to cf8 report builder

I'm unsuccessfully trying to dynamically pass text and url-based images to a group footer or the detail section via an input parameter or even hardcoded. The field has the attribute 'XHTML Text Formating' set to True. The following are failed samples of a simplified value:
"<img height=’300’ alt=’Document’ width=’300’ src=’http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif’ />"
or
"<img src=’http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif’ />"
This just results in the above text being output. The end result would have various text and images from a database as input by a user, thus the reason I cannot just use the hyperlink information attribute as I could if it were a single known image. I tried rtf and pdf report types. Ideas?

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind, although I don't know how many images my user might need or what sizes so that might be tricky.
Since my target output is rtf so that MS Word can be used to edit the result, I added a pagebreak to a MS Word doc and used the resulting html source to replace the rich text editor source code for the page break, but that did not help either. The page break was so a user could add an image later. Something is wrong with the Report Builder related to intepreting XHTML, especially anything that has an attribute, including URL-based image links. I hope they try to provide another update before CF9. I doubt my client will be going to CF9 for some time, since they are just completing the migration to CF8.

How to add external images onto a control and still be able to resize

I'm a LabVIEW newbie. I'm trying to customize the appearance of my VIs, and one of the things I like to do is to import external image and paste it onto the faceplate of the gauge indicator. I've followed the instruction in the Labview application note using the control editor and was able to paste the picture into indicator. But when I use it in the front panel and resize the gauge indicator, the image (added as a decoration) doesn't resize together with the indicator. My questions are:
1. How to add external images onto a control/indicator and still be able to resize the image automatically when I resize the control/indicator?
2. How to "add" a new part to an existing control/indicator? It looks like I can only customize/modify the existing parts of the control/indicator in the control editor.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

1/ Do not use the image as an added decoration. Instead replace part of the control with the image. Tis is illustrated in the attached vi : the arrow was pasted as a decoration, and also used to replace the slide cursor. Changing the control size do not affect the decoration, but changes the cursor.
2/ What do you mean by adding new parts to a control. We have just seen that it was possible to modify a control. Now, if you want to include additionnal functionnality, that's another story. You can replace parts of the control, and this can give interesting results. You can edit a slide control, and replace the numeric indicator by another control, including a numeric indicator, that you can replace with etc...
But there, it still the same info displayed under different forms. If you want to have several independant functions on the same control, such as a string display and a boolean and a numeric indicator, then that's a job for a cluster...

I would like to create a pop-up window appear from Labview Interface. In this window, I will have a slide control and an image taken from a camera. The main VI have to run while pop-up window is open. How can I do ?

When I pushed a button, this pop-up window has to appear. There will be a slide control and a picture from a camera in this window. Is it possible to make appear this windows while main VI Interface continue to run ? How can I do this ? Thank you for your answers.

Here you go. This is simple example. Maybe not the best way, I am just
beginner in LV and still not comfortable with data flow that much. I prefer
events, so I would change this to use Event Structures.
When you click on OK button on SliderMain, it opens Slider.vi. Now both
windows are open and you can interact with both. Now if you click on OK
again with Slider.vi open, you run into problems. Only thing I did was
change VI properties of slider.vi, mainly window appearance.

Mask and Image Control Commands

I am not able to use either Mask or Image Control Commands. They are always grayed out no matter what the situation, document, etc. Can anyone help me? I am using Pagemaker 7.0 and Windows XP. Thank you.

Mask is very simple. Overlay a shape over an image, select both and click mask.

Nikon D200 Image Setting and D300 Picture Control

Does LR recognize and use the in camera shooting settings? How do I setup LR to do this if it does? If not why not?
At a minimum can a develop preset be created to match them? How would you create it? Has anyone created some or all?
For now I am using LR2 with the Default Import setting. But have noticed that LR1.x and LR2.0 do not recognize Nikons Monochrome setting in either the D200 or the D300. Each camera has a different Image Control/Shooting system. Has anyone made presets to match these bodies different shooting modes.
