Paleta tabulacion Indesign

Saludos.

  • Third Party Plug-in for Multiple Swatch Palettes in InDesign

    Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a third-party plug in to have multiple swatch palettes in InDesign? I would like to create different palettes for different sections of the long document --- scrolling through all of the swatches each time is cumbersome.
    Many thanks!
    Jessica W.

Here's a little trick that may not even require a third party plugin
    On the Master Page
Create a bunch of rectangles, colour them with all the swatch colours you need, make as many pallettes as you like.
    Then group them together
    Create a text frame
Insert the group as anchored objects
Alignment make it away from spine (so it's always way out to the right or left)
Then Move the text frame over so that it encroaches on the page.
duplicate the frame and put it on the other side too.
Now all your pages have palletes of colour beside them. And you can use the Eye Dropper to sample the colours.

  • Appearance Palette in InDesign?

I was wondering if there is something in InDesign that is the equivalent to the Appearance Palette for InDesign like there is in Illustrator?
I find that applying the effects and then UN-applying them as I am experimenting for design is super clunky. It would be quicker to be able to delete an applied effect in an appearace palette like you can in Illustrator.
    Any suggestions or work arounds?
    Thanks!

I actually just found a tip that gets pretty close.
    http://creativementor.com.au/applying-effects-via-drag-and-drop
The effects palette pretty much does what I need. I can quickly delete an effect & the drag & drop feature is nice too.
    Check it out if interested.

  • Where is the Floating Align Palette in InDesign CC?

In past versions, there was a floating align palette where options like fixed gap could be selected.
I cannot seem to find this paletee, all I have is the standar option in the upper bar, that bar doesnt have the same gap aligment option that the floating bar had.

  • Missing Transparency palette in InDesign CS4

Wanted to make something transparent today and realized my Transparency palette is missing in InDesign 6.0.3.
Did the UI change, is the Transparency palette not on the Windows menu anymore?
Or is it somehow not loaded (not sure why), and if so how to I fix it?
If it helps... I also have CS2 installed (I didn't uninstall it for some reason when installng CS4) and it has the Transparency palette.
    Thanks.

    Thank you!
I was reading all the articles for older products talking about re-installing, and removing fonts, etc.  I'm so glad it was just a UI change.

  • How do you display a color palette for InDesign

I would like to have a similar color palette displayed that is used in PhotoShop for my InDesign work.  Right now when
clicking on a swatch color it brings up the rgb or cmyk sliders, but I would like to have the full color spectrum available
to select from as in PhotoShop

You can acess the color picker by double clicking the strok or fill proxies in the tool box or color panel rather than the swatch, but Keep in mind that this is an RGB colorspace tool, and the potential for doing great harm to spot colors or CMYK mixes is tremendous if you exit with the wrong set of values highlighted, so I generally recommend giving it a wide berth.

  • Palette issues InDesign CS4

    Hi,
I have justy installed CS4 on our office machines. On some of them, when you open a palette all palettes open. tries binnig the preferences but no success. Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Stephen

    They're probably in panel groups.
If you click on the double arrow, it'll open the whole panel group. If
they are collapsed to icons, clicking on an icon will open that
    specific panel.
If you don't want them grouped, break the panel groups apart. You can
    also save workspaces...

  • Problem with swatches palette in Indesign CS4

    Hi all,
Mac G5 dual processor OS 10.4.
I've got a problem with my swatches palette in that the thumbnails that show stroke and fill are always blank, yet the palette still works OK.
I don't know when this started - I am using an old LCD monitor temporarily as mine died and I thought at first that I just couldn't see it properly but I'm not so sure now.
    Any thoughts please?
    Thanks

Fantastic Peter - thank you. I'm kind of annoyed with myself that I just didn't do this anyway as it's the first thing I tell others to do . . .
My innate laziness is at work again!

  • InDesign CS3: Problem in creating assignment files through API.

I had written some code for InDesign CS2 that allows user to
create an empty Assignment file, export any selected pageitem and add to the Assignment, save the assignment.
Now I have ported the same code for InDesign CS3 by following porting guidelines.
I am facing an issue in saving the article. When any page item is exported and added to the assignment, the exported file name displayed under the newly created assignment in Assignments Palette of InDesign. But when i save the assignment the exported file is moved into UnAssigned InCopy Content in the palette.
Also the final InCopy file doesnot contain link to exported page item file(.incx).
I am using the following API in my code,
    void ExportStoryAndCreateLink(const UIDRef & story,const IDFile & file,
    const FileTypeInfoID & fileTypeID
    ) [virtual]
Please post in this thread if any one has come across this issue.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi vivek,
Have you tried adding the same document with the client ?
OACT is the accounts table and this error message typically indicates that there is an account parameter missing somewhere in the system.
    Possible causes include:
    - you are using a tax group or warehouse which does not have all the required accounts set
    - There is a price rounding and the rounding price account has not been set in the account settings
    - etc.
The first things I would check include the tax group settings and the G/L Account determination settings.

  • [CS5 Win] Switching to InDesign is slow in CS5 for certain documents. XML links?

    Hi,
I put this question in the scripting part, since you might be the ones to notice such things as this, and it might relate to importing XML by scripting. Also I got no positive response in one of the other forums, "complaining" about the sluggish performance redrawing the interface when setting focus to InDesign CS5. But now I can more clearly see that it is not slow for all documents.
Having certain documents open in InDesign CS5 makes it very slow to switch to. The CPU peaks at 80-100% and it takes about a second or two until InDesign responds.
The documents do not necessarily need to be large in size, but it appears that it mostly occurrs on documents that I've imported data to (or that our customers have), using our own code, which takes care of an XML file and portions it out into templates.
One strange thing I just noticed was that selecting "relink all" by alt-clicking the relink button in the Links palette, makes InDesign look for (presumalbly) previously imported XML files. How can that be?
I never store any links to the imported XML - as far as I know. Where should I look for that kind of links?
How and why would previously imported XML file paths be stored? I just import the XML into the structure, "deal with it", and deletes the node that it was imported to. (The data is left in a structure that I build up myself.)
Does anyone know if there is a change related to any of the facts stated above, in InDesign CS5?
I'll attach a screen shot of the links dialogue (above), when it "looks for" an XML file. Could this kind of "missing file" cause the abovementioned "slowness" every time switching to InDesign from another application?
(InDesign documents that don't relate to XML doesn't make switching to InDesign slow - but it gets slow when such a document is loaded, even under a tab that is not in focus.)
    Best regards,
    Andreas

I've uploaded a video to demonstrate that InDesign sometimes can keep references to links:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoQOSIlfYl4
It's obvious that there are thousands of "orphans" in the documents. All XML files ever imported are kept in some way... The links (or the names of them) are obviously not removed from the document when deleting the Element in the XML Structure. Since the communication of the code with a database is built around XML import, the number of imported files is very large.
Can these orphaned link references somehow be removed? When manually checking for missing files, InDesign loops though all of the XML files as seen in the YouTube video above, but ends up saying that there are no missing files. The next time I do the same check, all links are looped through again.
Perhaps we should "link to file", using .xmlImportPreferences.createLinkToXML = true
This propery has not been explicitly set, and therfore = false. But is there any way to get rid of all the old link names that's inside the document somehow?
CS4 does the same thing, but there is "no 2 second lag time" switching from another application to InDesign CS4 with this kind of document open.

  • InDesign CS6 Export to PDF has missing objects

When exporting to PDF, I have a 6-page document that has missing objects from the master.
Here's the document with the content removed:
    lab.cyke.net/pdf/MissingObjects.pdf
The first and last pages were constructed correctly. All pages in between are screwed up. Any ideas?

@Jongware – I have a case with InDesign CS5.5 7.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 where master pages based on each other lead to false representation of page objects.
Not only in pdf export, but also on the actual InDesign pages. Made an IDML from it, opened that in InDesign CS4 and the error was gone.
This problem is documented at the German-Swiss forum "HilfDirSelbst" at:
    http://www.hilfdirselbst.ch/gforum/gforum.cgi?post=496285#496285
Some screen grabs together with the IDML are attached there.
After opening the IDML from InDesign CS4 with the error gone, I exported another IDML from CS4, opened that in InDesign CS5.5 7.5.3 and the error was present.
To detect the error look at pages 1* and 4 of the mentioned screen grabs.
    Uwe
//EDIT: *the screen grab of the pages palette of InDesign CS5.5 shows the error on page 4 only. The error is present outside of page 1 as well, but cannot show on the screen grab.

  • On Glyph palette name shows as unassigned

Hey guys, I've added some glyphs to one or our existing fonts and on the glyphs palette in InDesign CS3 that glyph's name shows as "unassigned" when I mouse over the glyph.
Typically I use the Adobe glyph list (http://www.adobe.com/devnet-archive/opentype/archives/glyphlist.txt) to name my glyphs, but this particular glyph isn't in that list.
Does anyone know whether the "unassigned" just means that InDesign doesn't recognize it because it's not in Adobe's list?
    Thanks!

    Hi Steve,
Sorry, I some how managed to miss your post! Thanks for taking interest.
We develop and maintain fonts for a couple of clients and they recently came up with some new Old English stuff that just isn't anywhere.

  • What font is used in the CS4 panels/palettes?

I need to recreate one of the panels/palettes in InDesign. Does anyone know what font is used?
    Thanks,
    Lloyd

Don't take my word for it. I haven't checked specifically. But I'm
presuming that the font is the same as the font used in dialog boxes
created with scripting, and those are the fonts I mentioned. I just
started a thread about this a few days ago in the scripting forum called
"ScriptUI default font on a mac"
