Palm T/X sync and M/S Office 2010

I have been trying to synchronise my outlook calendar etc, with my palm, but it fails through an incompatibility in the software.  I have checked this on-line with a technician, who confirms this.
Are there any plans to / when will Palm develop a patch for this incompatibility?

Hello richking, welcome to the HPalm Support Community.
As explained many times in this forum, Palm (now HP) hasn't owned the rights to this software for many years!  It was owned by another company by the name of PalmSource, and later purchased by a company called Access.
Access seems to have no further interest in updating the program since all PalmOS devices have been discontinued.
There are some workarounds for syncing Outlook 2010 offered by a user here by the nickname "Pizzaboy".  Search for some of his posts for information.

I had a similiar problem, with my multiple devices.  I open iTunes and when all devices were connected I went to the info section on each device.  Under info I checked the sync calandars. Under that I click all calanders. I then did the apply in low right. I then did the sync function and it fixed it for me.  You have to do this for each device.
I also checked the device (ipad,Iphone) themselves and change the calander selection to NO Catagory.  Hope this helps.

  • Essbase Excel Addin on 64 Bit Windows 7 and 64 bit Office 2010

    Hi Everyone,
I have installed 11.1.2.2 on server with Essbase and Shared Services.
Now, on the client I have 64 bit Windows 7 and 64 bit office 2010.
I tried installing Excel Addin client only (without Essbase client) and restarted machine after install.
After install Addin didnt come up automatically and i tried to manually set the add-in, I'm getting an error "This is not a valid add-in"
Is it because i am using 64 bit of office and have to go back to 32 bit.
Isnt 64 bit supported for latest 11.1.2.2 Essbase ?
Any ideas or experience in this regard will be helpful to me as our company is going for Windows 7 and Office 2010 across the business users and if 64 bit Office is not supported or has issues i would have to suggest them to go with 32 bit Office 2010.
    Thank you.

for 64 bit i guess its not avaiable for 2010 excel
but you can download 9 version or 11.1.1.3 with patch below is link.. its just a client ~~~

  • OneDrive for Business sync app when using Office 2010

    Hi,
My clients use Office 2010. They all have SharePoint Workspace installed as well, thought, they don't use it.
As part of new SharePoint 2013 on-premise roll-out, I have to find a method to silently install OneDrive for Business into clients machines, without disruption to the use of Office 2010. They will use OneDrive for business to sync their team sites libraries
    and their personal site library.
So far, I have no success.
    What I tried:
-Standalone OneDrive Pro client exe Setup.x86.en-us_GrooveRetail_3V9N8-W93CC-FQPB8-Y9WVF-TVGJ3_TX_PR_.exe
It seems there is no way to run it silently anyway. Is there?
basically, this package still connects to the internet to download modules and it prompts user for some interaction while installing. I NEED IT SILENT.
-Building OCT package out of Office 2013 installation media. I selected to only install Groove(OneDrive) and leave existing Office product intact. Then I run it from setup.exe /adminfile //location/onlygroove.MSP
It provisions SkyDrive Pro client (note the name, I used Office 2013 without SP1 media)
    Problems with that:
1.After installing Office 2013 SP1, client name is still SkyDrive Pro 2013, but sync folder actually changed, some other user interface places are also updated
2.After silent run, Office 2010 experience problems: Outlook 2010 crushes on start 3 times, then it attempts to run repair, Repair will fix outlook, but it also sets SharePoint workspace as a default client for sync. Running Office 2013 repair will break
Outlook again. The solution is to uninstall SharePoint workspace, then run Office 2013 repair, then Office 2010 repair again - this way I have SkyDrive Pro as a sync app and Outlook 2010 working.
As you see, I have problems with having seamless silent OneDrive for Business sync app installation. Even asking clients to install it manually would be too hard for them. Annoying thing is that if you click the exe file to run, it takes about 2 minutes
before user sees anything happening on a screen. I can see users getting confused if they actually initiated a process of not!
    What am I missing ?
Any other way to provision it in bulk to my users? Any help appreciated.

I think we're all waiting on Microsoft to (quickly) address this. Its unacceptable.
It is seriously unacceptable, and I am having the same problems. Even running tests locally and I am a domain admin, I come across admin permission errors. I have tried amending the config file and creating a new one (onedrive_download.xml), creating a new
folder as a temp test and running the OneDrive for Business pack (extracted). These are the errors I get (on my own admin PC).

  • Acrobat XI Pro "Out of Memory" error after Office 2010 install

    Good Afternoon,
We recently pushed Office 2010 to our users and are now getting reports of previous installs of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro no longer working but throwing "Out of Memory" errors.
We are in a Windows XP environment. All machines are HP 8440p/6930p/6910 with the same Service pack level (3) and all up to date on security patches.
All machines are running Office 2010 SP1.
All machines have 2GB or 4GB of RAM (Only 3.25GB recognized as we are a 32bit OS environment).
All machines have adequate free space (ranging from 50gb to 200gb of free space).
All machines are set to 4096mb initial page file size with 8192mb maximum page file size.
All machines with Acrobat XI Pro *DO NOT* have Reader XI installed alongside. If Reader is installed, it is Reader 10.1 or higher.
The following troubleshooting steps have been taken:
    Verify page file size (4096mb - 8192mb).
Deleted local user and Windows temp files (%temp% and c:\WINDOWS\Temp both emptied).
Repair on Adobe Acrobat XI Pro install. No change.
Uninstall Acrobat Pro XI, reboot, re-install. No change.
Uninstall Acrobat Pro XI Pro along with *ALL* other Adobe applications presently installed (Flash Player, Air), delete all Adobe folders and files found in a full search of the C drive, delete all orphaned Registry entries for all Adobe products, re-empty all temp folders, reboot.
Re-install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. No change.
Disable enhanced security in Acrobat XI Pro. No change.
    Renamed Acrobat XI's plug_ins folder to plug_ins.old.
You *can* get Acrobat to open once this is done but when you attempt to edit a file or enter data into a form, you get the message, "The "Updater" plug-in has been removed. Please re-install Acrobat to continue viewing the current file."
A repair on the Office 2010 install and re-installing Office 2010 also had no effect.
At this point, short of re-imaging the machines (which is *not* an option), we are stumped.
We have not yet tried rolling back a user to Office 2007 as the upgrade initiative is enterprise-wide and rolling back would not be considered a solution.
Anyone have any ideas beyond what has been tried so far?

As mentioned, the TEMP folder is typically the problem. MS limits the size of this folder and you have 2 choices: 1. empty it or 2. increase the size limit. I am not positive this is the issue, but it does crop up at times. It does not matter how big your harddrive is, it is a matter of the amount of space that MS has allocated for virtual memory. I am surprised that there is an issue with 64GB of RAM, but MS is real good at letting you know you can't have it all for use because you might want to open up something else. That is why a lot of big packages turn off some of the limits of Windows or use Linux.

  • Can't print to PDF from MS Office 2010 using Acrobat X Pro

This is not the PDF Addin problem. When I try to print to PDF using the printer dialogue in any MS Office 2010 application I get the save to dialogue box, but when I choose a location and file name and print save nothing happens. No indication of printing activity, no file shows up in the location I chose, etc. I'm using Acrobat X and working in Office 2010 64bit on a Windows 7 64 bit system.

Use OFFICE 32-bit. I am surprised the print option does not work, but there has been a lot said on the forum about the compatibility of OFFICE 32-bit and Acrobat X.

  • Office 2010 vs. 2013 - migrating from XP to W7

I have a client with >200 PCs, and about 50 already run W7 with Office 2010. The remaining 150+ XP PCs are currently being migrated to W7, and the client wants to stay with Office 2010, as they have already purchased 50 or so licenses for their existing
    W7 PCs.
I am finding Office 2010 licenses harder and harder to find, and much more expensive since Office 2013 was released. The client also has plans to add 50+ PCs during Q4 2014 when a new location is opened. I am hesitant to proceed with their direction,
if 2010 licenses become no longer available. I know that MS has discontinued sales, and vendors will only be allowed to continue to sell 2010 until their inventory is depleted. My client is aware of this, but they do not want to standardize on 2013 because
they feel they would then have wasted their money buying the roughly 50 copies of 2010. And they do not want a mishmosh of 2010/2013 in their company, they want to be all on the same version.
Any advice?I do not want to move them away from Office (to openoffice, Corel, or worse!) but if I can't get them standardized on 2010 they may be forced to move to another platform or worse decide to find a new IT consultant. They understand this is not
my fault per se, but they blame me for not anticipating this during the last few years when I recommended Office 2010 for their new W7 PCs. No good deed goes unpunished as they say.

    Hi
Since it is hard to purchase Office 2010, you can take Office 2013 and downgrade to Office 2010.
However downgrade rights are only available for volume licenses.

  • Deploy Office 2010 gpo/oct activation

I am trying to deploy Office 2010 Standard through  group policy startup computer script. A batchfile runs which starts the setup off Office and a msp file. First office 2003 gets deinstalled and Office 2010 installed. This all go fine but the activation
fails. When i start a Office program the program wants to activate.
Reading on the Internet about this problem comes with a lot of solutions which do not work. Solutions like AUTO_ACTIVATE and ospp /act in the oct configuration already tried without luck.
We use a proxy server in our orginisation but the proxy server is set in Internet Explorer. The difference is that the installation runs as a system user when set as computer startup script policy. Maybe that is the issue that the system user cannot reach
    the internet....
Off course when i login as the user and start for example excel then he cannot activate because of the user rights. A prompt appears of UAC that a username and password must be given but that can not be left over to the users....
We use a MAK key and not KMS (not a solution because MAK key is chosen..)
Also tried to activate remotly thru ospp but then a error appears 0x80072ee2. According to Microsoft this has something to do with rights, but how to overcome this problems.
I would like a silent install thru GPO and no user intervention, including activating....
What is the best way to solve this problem?
    freddie

I have almost the complete silent install however struggling with activation. Tried the above command in OCT with the cmd.exe /c etc switch but nothing happens because after starting a office programm activation requered coms in. It could be do that the installation
is in a batchfile and runs in a computer GPO maybe the system user has no rights to activate….
I cannot find a log file in %temp% to see what errors are…
I have also tried to set a batchfile at computer startup the runonce and even force in the OCT to start the machine up after Office 2010 is installed but then i need to restart the machine again because the runonce batchfile is put there after a restart is
taken place i guess so the machine needs to reboot the second time for the activation batchfile runs.
I am now seeking a easy way to activate silently and automatically without user intervention.
    Summarize what i have tried:
configure office thru OCT in the OCT tried AUTO_ACTIVATE =1 and add registry keys which adds a key in the runonce to start a batchfile which suppoce to activate Office. But after install office the machine restarts and after login the batch is not started,
    it is started next reboot....
Als tried in OCT to run cscript OSPP /act as a command post installation.
Non of the above works. Auto_activate and the direct script OSPP does nothing. The batchfile in the runonce starts the OSPP command but after a new restart so it needs 2 restarts.
The msp file is saved on a shared resource and the command to start the msp file is put in a batchfile which runs at startup script thru gpo, so maybe the local system user which runs the installation then cannot access the internet or whatever but thatswhy
i made  batchfile in the runonce so that batch is started under the user, but if only the batchfile would start after the installation and reboot of Office 2010 and not reboot again to start it...
What else can i do to activate Office automatically?
    freddie

  • I need report about office 2010 licensed or not

    hi,
I need to make report about microsoft office 2010 licensed, activated or not on all pc's, how can i generate it or make my custom collection and query ?
    any help !!
    Ahmed Sherif

One of doing this would be to use Compliance Settings.
    With the information found here:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/odsupport/archive/2010/08/11/how-to-check-the-activation-type-and-status-of-office-2010-installations.aspx
You could create a script that you combine with Compliance Settings and use the information returned by Compliance Settings (Compliant or Non-compliant) to create a Query or a report.
You might have a look at Asset Intelligence classes i.e SoftwareLicensing,
or a third option could be to see whether the information exits in WMI (I have never looked for it myself)

  • Office 2010 User Settings NOT Migrated After Uninstall-Upgrade to 2013

    Greetings,
We are in the final stages of preparing for an enterprise rollout of Office 2013, upgrading our user base from Office 2010. When we deployed Office 2010, we used the Office scrubber tool to remove Office 2003 and install Office 2010. Employing this same
    technique, which is
fully documented by Microsoft as the recommended approach, the user settings from Office 2010 do not migrate to Office 2013. For example, the default save paths. If you set this to say, "C:\Temp", in Office 2010, that path will be changed
after upgrading to 2013. There are other settings impacted as well and hoping that someone has seen this or knows what might be going on. The method we've used during pilot is an in-place upgrade from 2010 to 2013 and that will retain settings but we also
see cases where the upgrade isn't clean and components of Office 2010 can be left behind. It is critical to a successful deployment that the uninstall-upgrade approach works flawlessly.
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hi Jori,
There are three types of permissions in the Manage User Permissions in User Profile Service Application(UPS): Create Personal Site, Follow People and Edit Profile and Use Tags and Notes.
If all the three permissions have been revoked from the user, then the user will not existed in the Manage User Permissions in UPS.
So you don’t need to anything else to remove the users from Mange User Permission in UPS after revoking all the permissions from the user.
As for the error when accessing Mange User Permissions in UPS, I recommend to restart the User Profile Service and add the user account to the Administrators of the User Profile Service Application.
In Central Administration, highlight the User Profile Service Application and then click Administrators in the ribbon.
If above cannot work, please provide more error message for the correlation ID in ULS log for further research.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS.
    Best regards.
    Thanks

  • I bought office 2010 with the free 2013 upgrade offer...

The office edition I purchase allowed for multiple computer installs, which I planned to use for a new laptop that I finally purchased today.
Do I have to install 2010, in order to upgrade it to 2013?
What are the steps to upgrade to 2013 after installing 2010?

It is too late to redeem it now. The Offer ended in most places on Friday at midnight.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/offer/
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/offer/pre-launch-offer-details-and-terms-FX102902434.aspx
The "offer" gives you a "free" copy of Office 2013 when it is released.
READ the FINE PRINT carefully, Office 2013 license terms have changed substantially, don’t assume you know the terms!
Ie All 2013 retail licenses are now for one computer, even if your original 2010 license was for 3 computers (Home and Student Retail). There is some discussion whether the “Offer” is an “upgrade” that replaces the 2010 license, or an “Offer” that allows
you to continue to run both
Eligibility: You must purchase, install, and activate your Office 2010 or Office for Mac 2011 product from October 19, 2012 to April 30, 2013.
Redemption Period: You must redeem the offer at
    Office.com/offer before May 31, 2013.
Yes, you did have to install and activate 2010 before redeeming the offer.
You would be provided with a product key and downloaded installation file. Just run a normal Office installation. It is not an "upgrade" in the 2007 and earlier sense that it requires an "upgrade from" application. The offer provides you with a full, standalone
license that is independent of the 2010 license used to get it.<div_prefs id="div_prefs"></div_prefs>

  • Office 2010 Professional Plus configures each time I launch - FIXED!

    <!-- [if gte mso 10]> <mce:style>
Every time I start one of the office 2010 programs from the All programs menu, a window opens that says "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft
Office Professional Plus 2010”. (Starts Windows Installer). After about 30 seconds, the program starts and runs OK.  It is affecting the whole suite of MS Office 2010.  Previously, office 2007 was running perfectly.  I have tried:
Uninstalling and re-installing Office 2010 (using MS Office 2010 cleanup utility in between)
Uninstalling Office 2007 remnants by using the MS Office 2007 cleanup utility
    Uninstalling MS Works 8
Uninstalling MS Small Business Accounting 2009 free edition
    Uninstalling MS PowerPoint Viewer 2007
Created a new Windows user account, and tried running Office 2010 from there
    Running the Win7 compatibility wizard
Cleaned the registry of Office 12 (2007) keys
Searched MS Knowledge Base for solutions, but none found that have worked
Run SFC to check Windows 7 installation
Nothing has worked so far.  Odd thing is, if I start Word by double clicking on Winword.exe, it starts and runs without running the configuration
window. (However, that does not work for Outlook.exe, nor Excel.exe – those still go through the Configuration setup each time)
I am running Windows 7 32 bit, fully patched.  Office 2010 is 32 bit.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose
    Then I rebooted"
I tried this and now I am having problems with multiple programs on my computer. I tried to do a restore but that program isnt working as well. Any suggestions?

I doubt MS will sell the Product Key anymore for such a old Office. But you need to contact MS and ask them about if you can still buy and activiate your Office 2010 product. We here can't help with this. No, Office doesn't come free you have to purchase the Product Key to activiate your Office.
