Panel Switching

I am having trouble switching panels.

Please reference myJFrame.java where the panelSwitch method is defined, welcomePanel where the method is called, and testPanel what should be displayed after.
The panel switch method works, but after the panels are switched the screen remains blank...until I resize the window. I've tried every combination of repaint, revalidate, and validate that I could think of. I appreciate any insight in this matter.

How does one empty an array during runtime with a front panel switch

I can 'empty array' from the front panel during runtime but I want to empty all arrays (20) from my vi with a front panel switch (see screenshot). I have used replace array subset and reshape array with no success. Any help would be appreciated

Hmm... You can empty an array by reshaping it or by assigning a constant empty array - using local variables or properies of the original control (see attached example... hmmm... not the best one ). May be you can attach a part of your code to see what is better to do in the given case.

6650d Flip front panel switch problem

Can anyone tell me how I disable the front panel switches on my Nokia 6650d flip. Whenever I put this in my pocket the switches are activated whenever I walk: resulting in an annoying beep. It also flattens the battery. It completely negates the point of a flip phone. The phone is OK I just need to know how to disable these annoying buttons. Can anyone help?

To lock the keypad in the standby mode, press the left selection key and * within
1.5 seconds. To set the device to automatically lock the keypad after a certain
time, select > Settings > Phone sett. > General > Security > Phone and SIM
card > Keypad autolock period > User defined and the desired time.
To unlock the keypad, select Unlock, and press * within 1.5 seconds.
When the device or keypad is locked, calls may be possible to the official emergency number
programmed into your device.
To lock the cover keypad, slide your finger on the the left cover touch key and then
the right cover touch key within 1.5 seconds. If you have locked the keypad from
the cover display, and your device goes to sleep mode, you first need to press the
camera key to activate the cover touch keys. To unlock the cover keypad, slide
your finger on Unlock (left cover touch key), and then OK (right cover touch key)
within 1.5 seconds.

Tabbed panels: switching images for each tab?

Hi,
I am a spry newbie. I have three tabs in a tabbed panel. I
have been able to put images into the tabs; these are my three tab
labels. But I'd like to switch the image of a tab when it's being
clicked or hovered over, and then again when it's the foreward-most
tab. Is there a way to do this? If so, could you please explain or
point me to an example? Thank you very much.

My education in spry continues. I realized that I didn't have
to use images, as I had been doing, since my labels were just text
on a color background. I quickly learned how to work with the css,
and now the tabs look very nice. So, problem solved!

Nested Panels: Switching between

I'm writing a program that has to switch between two panels that are nested in a parent panel. Is anyone there who has done this before and has a workable solution? Thanks in advance...

Using the content pane, the program does not know where to add the panel, is there a way of directing it to add the panel to the parent panel directly?.. I couldn't find any method that helps in this direction. Thanks again for the help.

You can use hardware or software-based Microphone effects.
If you select an effect in the Karaoke Player itself, it will be software-based and you might experience delays or increased CPU utilization.
If you enable the Karaoke effect in the EAX Console, it will be hardware-based (using the Audigy DSP) with no delay and not relying in the system's CPU. Highly recommended.
I did not make any extensive tests, so please try the software-based Microphone effects and share your experiences.

IdeaPad Y580 Nvidia control panel won't switch to dedicated GPU

Hi, I've been struggling with this problem for a while already, I try to switch the default GPU for Rust PC game. It's set on integrated Intel GPU and I try to switch it to a dedicated GTX660m video card. The problem is, everytime I enter Control Panel, switch it, press Apply it switches back to integrated GPU! I can't play the game because it just won't run on Nvidia GPU and I have to launch it via Steam. How can I permanently switch to GTX600M card? Is there any way to do that instead that control panel which does nothing? Or is there any way to permanently disable Intel HD graphic? Help please!

How can I programaticly edit a panel?

I have a panel that contains a number of buttons.
The number of buttons and the text in the buttons are supposed to change during the program execution.
I know how to create the buttons on the fly using NewCtrl, but have problems erasing/modifying excisting buttons.
Is there a way to get access to the list of Ctrl objects in a panel, investigate the Ctrl objects and erase or modify the Ctrl?
At the moment I am using DiscardCtrl, but this requires me to keep track of the Ctrl objects.
Mistakes in mainting this information are hard to debug. It would be far simpler if I could access the information that the application maintains.

A magic rule in CVI is that everything you can do in the UIR editor can be done programmatically ar runtime: you only have to know the right way to do it! So:
Deleting a control: DiscardCtrl () (you already discovered it)
Editing control aspect: almost all operations are done with SetCtrlAttribute with the appropriate attribute.
Obtaining the list of controls can be done this way:
GetCtrlAttribute (panelHandle, ATTR_FIRST_CTRL, &ctrlID);
while (ctrlID) {
   // operate on the control
   // Get next control: 0 if the last control in the panel is found
   GetCtrlAttribute (panelHandle, ctrlID, ATTR_NEXT_CTRL, &ctrlID)
While scanning the controls in a panel you can retrieve details on the control by using
GetCtrlAttribute (panelHandle, ctrlID, ATTR_CTRL_STYLE, &style);
The list of control styles (buttons, rings...) can be found in userint.h
As an example, attached is a function I developed that:
- scans all controls in a panel
- switches all operable controls between indicator or hot
- skipping controls in a variable-list of arguments
To call this function to set all control as hot:
SetParamPanel (panelHandle, 1, VAL_HOT, 0);
To set all controls as indicator except quit button:
SetParamPanel (panelHandle, 0, VAL_HOT, PANEL_QUIT, 0)

Can I disable my Verizon Fios Router Wireless radio, connect it to a switch and use my airport express as my wireless access point connected to an in wall ethernet port?

Here's the deal. I have a Verizon Fios MI424WR router. My house has CAT5 throughout the house. The media panel is located in the garage. I want to take the Verizon Fios Router and cannot it in the media panel so I can connect a switch to it, that way, all my CAT5 can fire throughout the house. Verizon being Verizon decided to connect the router directly in the office.
Can I go this route (Router in media panel, switch cross connect to it) and use Airport Express, connected to one of the in-wall CAT5 ports in my house and then set it up as my wireless access point to provide wifi to my portable devices (iPad, iPhone, Macbook)? Is this possible? Will Airport Express comminicate with my verizon router via ethernet in-wall? Do I have to turn off the wireless radio in the Verizon router? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That is right, by hard wired I was just making clear wired vs wireless attachment. AirPort family of devices will only act in a repeater mode with their own family members, not FiOS routers. they have to be wired to work.

Xonar D1 front panel microphone not working in kernel 2.6.33

It is not possible to record anything from my front panel microphone jack after I updated kernel to 2.6.33.
It still works OK with kernel 2.6.32.10, but does not work with 2.6.33.3, and it did not work with 2.6.33.rc8 too. The front panel switch in alsamixer switches only output but not input (mic) now. Before, the switch had impact on both output and input.
When I activate the back panel on the card everything is working well (back panel connectors are active, front panel connectors are inactive). When I activate the front panel then the front panel microphone is not working (back panel microphone works). The alsamixer front panel switch does not have impact on the microphone any more and no switch was added to control the microphone separately from the output.
The alsa version is 1.0.23.
I use 32 bit kernels. My brother uses 64 bit kernels and the problem is the same for him too. Although he uses Xonar DX.
Any idea how to get this fixed?

I'm also having trouble with the 2800pci driver. I installed the v26 firmware from the PKGBUILD in this thread, and it does scan as Cdh says, but will not connect...

The rt2860sta driver does work, but only at G speed not N. I also tried the ralink 2.3.0.0 driver, but it is even slower than the kernel driver. With 2.6.32 kernel, I was able to get N speed from their 2.1.2.0 driver, but that one won't compile anymore. I've had nothing but trouble with this card for the last year.
I'm very tempted to just buy another card, but I'm not sure which one to buy.

Problem with Spry Panels inside a Table.

This might be in the wrong section, but I hope someone knows what i'm doing wrong.
I'm putting together a simple html website with a spry tabbed panel inside a table. I can insert the panel, switch between the different tabs to insert content, but when I preview the page in IE or Firefox all the content is in the first tabbe panel. I can hover over the other tabs but nothing happens when I click on them.
I am slightly new to dreamweaver so it might just be something i'm overlooking.

HTML Panel with Tabs like Sliding Panel tabs

Hi, what do I need to add/change to have HTML panels
switching with tabs that switches background image like the tabs in
sliding panels example?
Or can I modify the

Nevermind, I got it. I used the SpryTabbedPanels.js and
modified the SpryTabbedPanels.css with my graphics, size, position
and what not.
I do have one more question. I'm using HTML Panels with Fade
in and out and when loading my page I have to have default content
in the main html doc for something to display when the page loads.
Then when I click on the first button, it then loads the real
external HTML panels. Is there any way I can load my first external
HTML page right when my site loads?

E52 and Switch

I transferred all my contacts (1200+) from my old E60 phone to my new E52, and they seemed to copy across OK. I used the "Switch" application that comes with the E52 - Menu > Ctrl Panel > Switch.
But now I've noticed that while all the numbers seeem to have copied OK, the "default" tags don't. For example if I had a contact with three numbers and one marked as Default, the three numbers copied across OK but none is marked as default on the E52.
Anyone else experienced this, or know a fix?

[Solved] VIFM Panel Question

I recently switched from XFE to VIFM file manager. I really like VIFM but I'm one missing command that I used in XFE. In XFE, I would use the shortcut cntl-y which will make the second panel switch to the same directory as the primary panel. I use this often when working with network drives. Prevents me from having to move through the directory trees. I've looked through the documentation but was unable to find this function.

I can't see any history in time machine

I have Time Machine backups for my MacBook on an external USB drive. When I connect the drive and turn on Time Machine by the control panel switch, it happily recognizes the backups and tells me when the first and most recent backups were performed. But when I enter the Time Machine, it shows no history for anything whatsoever -- the only window I can see is "now". When I click on any of the windows stacked behind "now", nothing happens. Also, there are no backups labeled on the timeline (right edge of the screen), just a bunch of tick- marks that I can't click on.

That is supposed to force all backups to mount, thus letting you go back in time.
