PAPI - execute process based on selected participants

In a process, there are two roles. In role one and two, interactive activities are set to user selects transition. Each role has one interactive activity.
If a user finish task in activity one of role one, BPM workspace (10g) let this user select the participant in the role 2. How to do this in PAPI?

I solve this problem using following snippets.
ProcessServiceSession instancesSendTo(InstanceActivityPairSet instanceActivityPairs,
String activityName,
String participant)
throws OperationException,
BatchOperationException
It works.

My business code is deployed in one Server.
The BPM is deployed in another Server.
I want to execute Task use PAPI.(ProcessServiceSession.runActivity)
In my business code, I will do something before execute Task.
I need my business logic and Task in same transaction.
To ensure them "all-or-nothing" .
As you say, if The transactions are managed by Oracle BPM.
then can I retrieve OBPM transcaction in my business code?

Execute SSIS Package from JOB which contains Execute Process Task calling a .bat file

Hi All,
I have a EXCEL Macro needs to be called from SSIS. We could not use Script task because of some internal reason.
So we have taken an approach to call a .BAT file using Execute Process Task. This .BAT file will call a .VBS file which will execute the EXCEL Macro.
The SSIS Package is running good if I execute the package from BIDS.
But the real problem is with the scheduling this SSIS Package using SQL JOB.
If i execute this SSIS package from SQL Server Job, its executing the whole package successfully except the Execute Process Task.
So the overall issue is SQL Server Job is not executing properly if I call any .BAT file from the SSIS Package.
Please give me suggestion to get rid of the issue. Thanks in advance.

If you run the SQL Server Agent job manually from SSMS, does the package execute properly? If the package executes properly when you run the job manually, the issue should occur due to permission issue. In this case, I suggest that you create a SQL Server
Agent proxy based on the current Windows account which you use to log onto the operating system, and run the job under the proxy account.
If it is not the issue, please enable logging in the package as Visakh mentioned and post the warning/error message for further analysis.

Executing query based on parameter.

Hi, iam new to Oracle Reports and need some help on handling multiple queries.
I have 2 queries A,B where A is a subset of B ( B has some extra columns to be included in the select and where clause).
Now i need to execute A and B according to a parameter value which i select using a list box.
For example there are two values open and close in the list box.
If i select open, query A should execute and if i select close, B should execute and report be diaplayed accodingly...Please let me know how this should be done.

In the data model you can not have a variable number of columns based on the parameter selection. You need to bring the maximum number of columns in the data model, and then show or hide certain columns in the layout model using format triggers based on the parameters.

Chart based on Select list with submit Lov problem

Hi,
I have one page with interactive report showing username with links, date and
database actions.
Another page contains one region having flash chart based on select list with submit Lov.
The lov is created by dynamic query.
Every time when i click the 1st page report link, the 2nd page lov is populating the value automatically. But the problem is chart displays NO DATA FOUND message though the LOV has many values.
I don't want to display any null values so set to NO for LOV
I tried to write Before header computation (PL/SQL Function Body) to set the lov value, but the query is displayed as such.
I don't want to assign any static default value also as the values are dynamic for every link.
The following is my Before header computation of Select list with submit (Item name is p11_schema). (PLSQL Function Body)

Example: If there more than one records in the lov, the graph should display the 1st record. When i select another record, the chart accordingly display the selected values. But inially it should not display "NO DATA FOUND" message.
I tried using all the combinations of computation type for the lov, SQL query ( I could not use if conditon then), PLSQL expression, PLSQL function body. But it does not work out.
Can anyone please help me out.

I found out the solution for this problem as below.
But i did it in different way to tackle the dynamic query wich returns more than one record using rownum always the 1st record when it is empty instead of assigning constant (static) value like '1'. And i am returning LOV itself for both null or not null condition as below.

Creating a Dynamic Update Statement based on Select

i'm trying to create a dynamic update statement based on select statement
my requirment is to query a joint tables and get the results then based on the results i need to copy all the data and create an update statement for each row
for ex
the update statement should look like this

and the select statement like the following

The standard advice when (ab)using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE is to compose the SQL statement in a single VARCHAR2 variable
Then print the SQL before passing it to EXECUTE IMMEDIATE.
COPY the statement & PASTE into sqlplus to validate its correctness.

Process Groups Attribute selection in SAMLIdentityAsserter

I have the server configured as relying party. The incoming SAML token has the group attribute generated. In SAMLIdentityAsserter I have the the 'Process Groups Attribute' selected. However, It doesn't seem to map the groups and roles to user. What does "process groups attribute" selection do?

I have followed the step described in [http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/ReadingSAPBW].
- I have my RFC defined and the RFC server is up and running in Data Servi ces Management Console
- I have a datastore with an Open Hub Tables defined
- I have a dataflow with the Hub Table as a source.
Unfortunately, the option Execute process chain before reading is disabled even though all the BW objects are active, as specifically mentioned in [http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/ReadingfromanOpenHub+Destination].
Is there any other reasons why would this option be unavailable?

the option will be disable if there is no process chain for the Open Hub, select the Open Hub Destination in the datastore right click and open properties, in the properties windows select attributes, do you see a Attribute named ProcessChain0, if yes do you see a value for this parameter ?
in there is a process chain for the Open Hub, try reimporting the Open Hub Destination again and see this attribute is set

Then I created a page item ListOfTables, Display as select list and pointing to tables_LOV.
I run the page, and i can select the table i want from the drop down list.
How to create a report based on the selected item? (ex: select * from selected_table)

I think that simulates what you're trying to accomplish. I've set up the simplest method I could think of.
The report is based on an apex collection. If you are not familiar with that, you should study the documentation: APEX_COLLECTION
To recreate my example you should:
1) create an (interactive) report on your collection
SELECT *
   FROM APEX_collections
WHERE collection_name = 'MY_COLLECTION'
2) create a page_item select list for the tables you want to display (in my case this is called "P38_TABLES" )
3) create a dynamic action that triggers on change of your select list page_item. The dynamic action must be a PL/SQL procedure perfoming the following code:

Error while calling pscp.exe through a batch file which is called in SSIS Execute Process Task

I am using Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard, SSIS 2012. I am trying to copy files from a remote location by calling pscp.exe through a batch file (FileCopy.bat at location M:\bin\) which is referenced in a SSIS Execute Process Task. My batch file content
is,

Exactly same setup but using Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise and SSIS 2005, this works fine and copies the files successfully.

Using UNC Path With Execute Process Task

I have an Execute Process task in which the process can either delete, get or put files to an SFTP site. The executeable takes arguments in the following format:

Arguments, Executeable and WorkingDirectory have been configured as Expressions. When I execute the package in BIDS from my Windows XP SP3 machine, The task fails with the following error:

My domain account has 'effective' full control rights to the location of ocsshhelper.exe.
It could be that the executable does not support UNC paths, and I'm checking that. I have another package that uses this same application, but uses the physical path, and there are no problems. Does the Execute Process task have issues with UNC paths?

Actually it doesn't work properly in SQL Server 2008 R2. I have a similar EP task. If I set the working directory to \\server\share\subdir the task fails. However, if I map a drive latter to the \\server\share and set working directory to <drive>:\subdir
it works

How to get value in Second Drop Down based on selection made in first dropd

I have a table with first two columns as dropdown.
The values in first drop down are fixed. However the value in second dropdown should be populated based on selection made in first .
e.g
First Column had different departments say IT, SALES, HR.
Based on department selected I have to populate employee of that department.
For first dropdown I have taken Drop down by index.
What should I select for second drop down and achieve desired functionality? Please guide.
